The Beach Apartments

We had a wonderful stay in the Beach Apartments! The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable, with an amazing view directly to the beach. The location was absolutely perfect, right by the beach and close to everything. Highly recommended!

The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and spacious with sea views, the pool was great.

This was a comfortable, well equipped apartment (could have done with slightly more cutlery and crockery) in a convenient location. Beautiful sunsets from the balcony and lovely pool. Not the apartment's fault, but a pity about the litter on the beach.

Staff were so friendly and helpful! They organised a airport shuttle as my flight was very late, all went smoothly. It is close to restaurants and cafes and the pool looking over the beach is amazing. Rooms are big as well.

Het is een fijne plek. Een groot, schoon appartement. Bij de receptie lagen handdoeken voor bij het zwembad. Keuken was goed uitgerust voor het maken van een klein hapje. We hebben niet uitgebreid gekookt omdat er in de buurt genoeg eten te krijgen is, maar dat had ook gekund. Voor de wasmachine was wasmiddel (gratis) beschikbaar bij de receptie

In de beschrijving stond "wasdroger aanwezig", maar dat bleek een droogrek te zijn.

We received a warm welcome. We arrived before the official check-in time but were already allowed to use the swimming pool. The apartment was spacious and had all the necessary amenities. It is in a great location, close to the sea, with several restaurants nearby. The staff were also very friendly.

De plek is mooi aan het strand, voldoende eetgelegenheid in de buurt.

De kamer was niet erg hygienisch. De keuken viel bijna uit elkaar, de bank zat vol met vlekken en de badkamer was erg vies (veel schimmel)

Mooi, modern appartement. Goede ligging aan zee en in hoofdstraat met restaurants. Ruim, modern appartement en een heerlijk zwembad met ligbedden.

Groot en schoon appartement! Mooi uitzicht op t strand en de zonsondergang. Heerlijk zwembad met relaxe stoelen! Zeer vriendelijk personeel! We kwamen zeer vroeg aan en ze waren heel meedenkend, dat echt heel fijn was! We hebben een hele fijne tijd hier gehad! Fijne plek voor eerste kennismaking met Sri Lanka. Je ziet het leven op t strand. We hebben er onze reis ook beëindigd, om lekker bij te komen in luxe. Genoeg eettentjes in de buurt.

Ontbijtje zou fijn zijn, dan hoef je er niet meteen op uit. Iets meer spullen in de keuken anders, er staan maar 2 bakjes voor 4 personen.

Great view of beach & ocean. Very comfortable, spacious room with good facilities including washing machine. Great air-con. Nice little pool. Close to airport and they arranged efficient pick-up.

Seat cushion covers around pool were not very clean & many had bird droppings on them (definitely needed a good clean). Pool towels seemed pretty old and needed replaced. No vending machine which would've been useful, especially for drinks.

Mooie ruime appartement met wasmachine. En sommige appartementen hebben twee slaapkamers. Voor een gezin met vier echt heel fijn. Het zwembad was een pluspunt en je loopt zo het strand op.

Behulpzaam personeel en ondanks dat we er vroeg waren konden we gelijk de kamer in. Ruime kamer en lekker zwembad. Locatie is ook top. Voor op doorreis de eerste 1/2 nachten echt prima.

De wasmachine in de kamer ontbrak en de deuren van de badkamer en slaapkamer vielen soms ineens in het slot en kregen we niet makkelijk open. Wel iets overpriced.

Negombo als eerste of laatste stop is prima. Hier zit je meteen goed. In de straat een paar goede restaurants. Mooi en handig appartement! Goed geslagen daar

We loved the whole place. It was very roomy with a lounge and kitchen, and we were able to do our washing. The bed was super comfy. It was very clean and had a sea breeze. The pool was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was right on the beach and near many café s and restaurants.

There was nothing that I didn't like. 👍

Good Place with Better Sea View...!

Lovely pool, very comfortable bed & good shower with great pressure and very hot. Room was very clean. It was walking distance to restaurants and very close to the airport. It also had a washing machine and kitchen if you needed to use.

Het strand is niet zo wit als op de foto’s. Verder is het strand erg vervuild (veel plastic). Aan de oostkant van Sri Lanka is het strand/ zee veel mooier.

Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig, man wird früh morgens gegen 6:45 Uhr am Samstag von der Kirche neben an geweckt und am Pool war eine Poolparty - das bekommt man alles lautstark mit. Der Strand ist leider sehr dreckig und die Umgebung ist nicht ansprechend

Goede locatie om te bekomen van vlucht en even uit te blazen. Grote comfortable bedden, goede kussen, ijskast… alles goed voorzien! Wandelafstand van verschillende restaurantjes.

It was extremely clean and comfortable. The pool was great with a nice outlook to the water. The staff were friendly and always ready to help.

It was located right next to a church and the bells went off early every morning waking us up. So it took us a while to get used to the time difference.

Room size with balcony, large kitchen, large TV. The church next door made me feel safe. I liked hearing the people praying even though it was in sinhala, and not in english. Overall, the room was excellent and i wanted to stay for 2 weeks. I liked sitting on my balcony and watching the children play cricket and football below.

Church bells next door at 5.30 am kept waking me up. Not enough English movies and News on TV. Difficult to extend room rental. I would like to book room 302 for 1 or 2 weeks each visit, but it was not available on booking com. The room gets hot in the afternoon, so roller blinds on the balcony would reduce this.

Cucina necessita di un rinnovamento, come pure i pavimenti. Le fotografie su booking non sono rappresentative dello stato. L’appartamento avrebbe bisogno inoltre di un po’ di più di calore, accoglienza e eleganza. Molto anonimo e freddo.

Staff were super friendly and helpful! We landed at an unusual time and the The Beach Apartment were more than helpful the it came to check in. The pool was an incredible bonus being so close to the beach as well.

The in house gym equipment was a bit worn down.

Das Appartement mit 2 Schlafzimmer war ideal nach der langen Anreise. Es ist gut ausgestattet und sauber. Der Pool ist sehr gepflegt und schön groß. Das Personal ist sehr nett. Der Strand ist zwar gleich daneben- ist jedoch voller Müll.

Great location, lots of cafes and restaurants nearby and can step out onto the beach from the hotel. Very big pool area with lots of beds. We stayed 1night in 1bed apartment. Room was huge, WIFI worked great, large fridge & full kitchen for self-catering. We loved having our own washing machine, especially after a week of travelling. Balcony looks out onto the beach, great sunset view, also enjoyed watching locals play cricket & football in the afternoons. Staff were very friendly!

Bathroom is very hot, but there's a large desk with mirror in the bedroom to do hair/makeup in airconditioning. No charging ports next to the bed. We didn't love Negombo itself but would defintiley recommend this place to our friends visiting.

We though Negombo was ok for a short stay as near airport but would not rate as a longer stay resort.

We had a wonderful stay at The Beach Apartments, Negombo, where we spent two nights. We booked through Booking.com, and the entire process was smooth and hassle-free. Upon arrival, the payment process took less than five minutes, and the security staff kindly helped us carry our luggage to the apartment. The apartment was very clean, spacious, and well-maintained. It included a kitchen, living area, bedroom, and bathroom. The kitchen was fully equipped with an electric cooker, microwave oven, electric kettle, toaster, cooking pans, cutlery, and even a washing machine, which was very convenient. The living room had a comfortable sofa, dining table, and a TV with a variety of channels. The bathroom was clean and provided basic toiletries. Both hot and cold water were available with good water pressure. The internet connection was fast and stable throughout our stay. One of the highlights was the beautiful sea view from the balcony, especially during sunset. The beach is within walking distance and was wide, clean, and relaxing. The property also has a swimming pool and gym facilities, which added extra value to the stay. Since meals are not provided, guests can either cook in the apartment, dine at nearby restaurants, or conveniently order food through Uber Eats or PickMe Food. There were only a couple of minor drawbacks. The bed felt a bit too soft and saggy for our preference, and at times we could hear furniture being moved in the apartment above us. However, outside noise was very well blocked, making the apartment generally peaceful and quiet. Overall, we had a very pleasant and comfortable experience at The Beach Apartments. The cleanliness, facilities, sea view, and convenient location made it a great place to stay in Negombo. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing beachside stay.

Very poor communication experience. First, I contacted the hotel through Booking 24 hours before arrival asking about the possibility of a late check-out — no response. Then I tried again via WhatsApp, also without success. My third attempt was in the evening at the reception, where they still could not give me an answer and told me to try again the next morning at 8 AM. I did exactly that, but again without success. I was redirected to a longer phone number for the manager, but once again received no reply. Check-in was supposed to be at 11 AM, and only around 10 AM did the receptionist finally manage to give us an answer. In the end, they did accommodate our late check-out request, which we appreciated, but the overall communication was extremely frustrating and disappointing.

The room was very clean, everything worked . Great view overlooking the beach and sunsets. A good size pool and the staff were very pleasant. Very short walk to the main street with Restaurants and local shops.
