Breakfast was very good and there was plenty of choice. Excellent service at breakfast - our order was taken promptly and we didn't have to wait long even though there was quite a large party all breakfasting together. Facilities in the room were good and of a high quality. The bed was very comfortable.
The room was a bit small but, for the price paid, I can't really complain
Room and staff
very friendly staff, good location, the food was excellent.
bedroom could have been larger
Everything was perfect! Thank you
Nothing bad
Hotel location was very good ,The facilities of the hotel were good ,the hotel food was very good quality.
Room size was small there were no drawers at all to store clothes only an open hanging space, the shower area had mould around the tray and there was no 12v socket for an electric shaver or toothbrush
Very good quality accommodation - friendly staff good food and nice bar too
Nothing really but room was v warm
Room very clean and comfy. Staff very helpful. Fab breakfast
Spacious room.. excellent location and excellent food
Room a bit dusty
Well maintained rooms with great shower and lovely decor. dinner was lovely as were the staff. Breakfast was good too .

Friendly, welcoming staff. Spacious dining area. Inspiring historic building tastefully updated and furnished. Spacious car parking. Jeremy Clarkson's Hawkstone beer on tap. On the edge of pretty village of Edwinstowe near to Sherwood forest. Food good. We're already planning our return visit.
Lovely staff, great facilities. Breakfast was wonderful.
Unfortunately, lots of dust and cobwebs. Shower tiles need a good scrub. It wouldn't put me off staying again but could be improved.
Met our needs for wedding we were attending
Superb welcoming staff
No lift
Good breakfast and evening meal. Great staff

The welcome was great, an easy to find location, plenty of car parking, the Lodge is unique and full of history. The decor marvellous. The food was genuinely exceptional, and the rooms were very well designed to maximise space. All in all, a lovely stay
nothing!
Pleasant comfortable and good location
Checking in a little difficult. Electrical equipment noises during the night interrupted sleep.
Rooms clean well presented breakfast good staff very good no hassle no stress
No options on coffee at breakfast maybe could do with coffee machine instead of filter coffee pot
Lovely staff, comfortable room and nice food
Can’t fault it, if I was being picky I would have liked a bottle of water in the room
The dukeries lodge is a beautiful building, great location, as soon as we arrived we were greeted with a very warm welcome, very impressed with our room, it had everything we needed, very clean and very well presented. And the breakfast was delicious!! Very reasonably priced, and great facilities. We will be back and would definitely recommend. Thank you
Delicious breakfast, beautiful decor, comfortable room, huge parking, very nice and friendly service
A pub with rooms and food. What's not to like? Easy walking distance to Sherwood Forest to see a really old, but very dead, famous oak tree. Edwinstowe is a nice village where people say hello.
My husband fell asleep while I was talking to him because the bed was so comfortable!!!

No facility to obtain keys out of hours - no staff on site
Beautiful character hotel in a lovely village Plenty of highlights: Ample parking provided outside the hotel Spacious and very clean rooms with good bathroom with powerful shower Nice bar and seating areas both inside and outside I ordered some late lunch , a curried fish special (kindly modified by the chef when the cod ran out!), it was absolutely amazing, I would have been happy to be served that in a top restaurant Breakfast also great, nice to have choices like Eggs Benedict included as standard, not “extras” However, the standout highlights were the staff. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, which is much appreciated when you are travelling on your own. They helped me organise a taxi for the evening, and accommodated our (noisy!)large family group over breakfast. Would definitely stay again if I am in the area.
Maybe additional toiletries (shampoo/conditioner) in the room - but this is being extremely picky
Nice hotel, good facilities, friendly staff
Breakfast was good and the location was pretty central for getting to places the staff were very friendly and helpful
No aircon and the bed wasn’t a proper double bed it was smaller
Everything was up to scratch
Could do with a bit of a deep clean re spider webs, but it was still really clean. Our room was quite warm, and it was difficult to cool it down as the window didn't open fully, but the staff very kindly got us a fan which helped. I doubt this would be an issue most days though, it was an exceptionally hot day.
The staff were extremley helpfull
The pilloes on the bed too big and hard and unable to use. Softer pillows would be more ideal.
Location, Building, Decor, Cleanliness and two very friendly and capable members of staff.
certain members of staff could have been more hospitable, pleasant and sociable and wasn't hugely impressed with the evening meal for the price charged.
Comfortable bed, nice breakfast coffee in restaurant is fine
Coffee in the room is terrible
Breakfast excellent, plentiful hot. Good variety.

Excellent place to stay, room was perfect, very hot day so fan was provided from reception. Village is beautiful aswell so this is a great hotel to stay at. All round lovely stay.
We found the place very welcoming, friendly staff, very generous size meals, which for us if known would have shared one between us. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Our room was on the top floor, which wasn’t really a problem, but was extremely warm as the weather was hot, so sleeping was difficult , maybe some sort of air con for such days! But overall a very pleasant stay. Would definitely stay there again.
Just the room really. It was so-hot! some sort of cooling for the rooms on such days would help, especially right at the top where we where.
We stayed here 2 nights for a festival and we absolutely loved it. Beautiful building ,friendly staff and nice atmosphere in the bar/restaurant. We will be coming back again. X
Our room was quite small but It done the job
Great location, plenty things to do in the area. Staff were friendly , food was nice, breakfast nice shame no fruit unless ordered day before never heard of that before. Room was nice bed comfortable.
Unfortunately the room was extremely hot and uncomfortable, the weather was hot, and no fans were available or air con, windows were on a safety lead so couldnt open fully. so didnt sleep well at all, couldnt relax. Shame. A positive the sunrise was beautiful from my room
The staff were exceptional at dinner and also housekeeping ( getting a fan for my room as I’m asthmatic. Also Saturday breakfast staff were excellent and friendly
The attitude of the staff member on Sunday at breakfast
Clean room decoration nice well kept food great, staff great and welcoming
Road / high street very noisy, no fan in room , mattress a bit lumpy
rooms were very quiet and lots of effort has gone into sound proofing the rooms around the stairwell from the dinning area on ground floor.
Breakfast was great, However for the price including breakfast was not a fair reflection as you could only choose one item on the menu Either full English breakfast or fruit and yogurt which are standard to have both at other establishments. It would have been cheaper to book room without breakfast and pay at breakfast for what you took. Other wise all was great.
Great Value and nice breakfast. The property was clean and well maintained. I would stay again.
Colazione molto limitata a buffet…
Location, parking, restaurant, staff and incredible breakfasts!
No fans or A/C in top floor. Bed was a bit soft for my liking.
Breakfast good. Excellent renovation. Friendly staff. Great location.
Standard double bed.
The staff are very helpful and friendly. Clare and Tracey were both lovely. The accommodation is very comfortable and clean. The location is excellent . Breakfast was so good both Full English and continental. 2nd time at the Dukeries and we will be back

Generally very pleasant. The staff were very polite and accommodating. The room was a little smaller than we are used to, but is was comfortable and clean. Great location with just a short walk into the village and Sherwood Forest. Dinner was surprisingly good in the pub restaurant.
Breakfast was okay.
Friendly and helpful staff

Large historic lodge. Nice rooms and great food in the evening. Breakfast was very good and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

restaurant and bar was very good
Our room had no air con it was a corner room with lots of windows, it was so hot in there we could not sleep, the bed was soaking wet with sweat as were we. They did put a fan in the room but it was no where near adequate to cool it down, other than that it was good at the hotel
The highlight of our stay was the exceptional service from Calum. We had a few issues with our rooms allocation, but he went above and beyond to find solutions on both nights we stayed. His professionalism and willingness to help really made the difference. The food was excellent throughout our stay, easily one of the best aspects of the hotel. All staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is a beautiful historic building that has been very well maintained and has plenty of character. The mattress was very comfortable and the shower had excellent water pressure.
The standard double room available through Booking.com was too small for one adult and one child, mainly because of the bed size. There were no rollaway beds available, so if you are travelling with a child or are a larger person, it is worth booking one room per person or choosing the Superior Double, which has a larger bed. Unfortunately, we stayed during an exceptional heatwave, so the lack of air conditioning made the room warm. This was more a consequence of the unusually hot weather than a fault of the hotel, but it is worth bearing in mind if you visit during very warm periods. Our rooms also overlooked the street, which was noisy due to frequent loud cars passing by. If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend bringing earplugs. Some rooms have two steps between the bed and the bathroom. They add to the character of the historic building, but they could be inconvenient or a trip hazard if you need to use the toilet during the night, especially in low light.
Warm welcome. Excellent service and quality food.
Would have been nice to have a cooling fan in the room
Great location, friendly staff and a nice job done on refurb, rooms nice too. Food at dinner was lovely and reasonably priced, breakfast was nice could do with 2 coffee machines as had to wait for it to fill. Overall nice weekend.
Was a hot weekend so not much air around as windows restricted so didn’t sleep well. Also the cleanliness of rooms need attention as shelving was dusty & bed making could be better as they literally just pulled the quilt up didn’t straighten it or the bottom sheet to make bed tidy so may as well of made it ourselves. Didn’t clean bathroom either there was a mark on side which I wiped off myself too.
Great location and staff very helpful even got us fitted in for dinner even though it was Father’s Day and they were fully booked
Comfortable bed, clean room, friendly staff and good food

Bright modern update, great food and excellent value for money.
Great customer service by Claire.
Room was slightly too warm and not cooling down after opening every window and door.
The place was nicely decorated and clean. Had a grand feel to it. Food was excellent and all staff were really professional and lovely - happy to serve/help you. Room was in keeping with the rest of the property. Comfy bed and bedding smelled lovely and fresh..
It was a little too hot in the room, even with the windows open (it was on the 3rd floor). However, I mentioned this as I was leaving and that it would be good to put a fan in the room. The lady listened to me and said that they do have fans, so if I had asked them for one, they would have given me one. So, not such a negative point, but worth mentioning.
Lovely feel and great staff.
Lack of refrigeration.
Classy, elegant and well maintained bed and breakfast, at the far end of the village, so very quiet and a great location to access all the village had to offer. Absolutely outstanding staff. Plenty of parking. Sherwood Forest Visitors Centre is within easy walking distance and therefore also Sherwood Forest with various walks. Plenty of bars, restaurants and cafe’s in the village along with the story of Robin Hood.
A good selection for breakfast but with some restrictions. Fresh fruit, yoghurt and muesli is listed along with hot choices so it’s either/or not both. Filter coffee was constantly being refilled resulting in frequent waits. For some it would be a problem that there are no lifts but 3 floors.
Nice hotel, friendly staff, good size room and bathroom. Breakfast & dinner were both good. Big free parking lot for car. Sherwood forest was about a 10 min walk. We enjoyed hiking there.
no issues
Friendly staff excellent good value dining

Lovely room, very clean and well designed
Bed seemed quite small for a double
Very clean Period building with a modern twist
Nice rooms, comfortable beds despite them being a standard double. Staff were amazing, very good breakfast too. I would highly recommend.
We were at a wedding at Hazel Gap Barn and it’s 5-10 min drive away. Comfy beds. Really good shower. Breakfast was nice too!
The friendly staff were warm welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were as described and had everything you needed. It was clean and well taken care of. Overall a great place to stay, would recommend to others.
The Internet did not provide the best service in the room we stayed in so in order to contact sufficiently we had leave to use our own data. This also meant the tv didn't work so we were unable to watch anything whilst relaxing. If this was improved then the stay would have been even better.
I'm always made to feel very welcome here by Tracey and Lynn and the guys. I can't wait to go again!
Friendly staff, good food
Service was good
Bed hard and room very hot.
Stayed for a nearby event but managed to take in the historic Sherwood Forest. Fantastic place and location. Clean and spotless. Exceptional staff. Food excellent. Definitely will be staying again in the near future.
None.
Large and nicely decorated pub and hotel. The room was nicely appointed with a lovely big shower. Staff were friendly and attentive and the breakfast was good with plenty of options.
Dinner which was excellent. Good menu choices and excellent value for money. Great ambience in the restaurant area.

Convenient
Clean, quiet and lovely staff
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place ws very clean, great location for Sherwood Forest and there were plenty of car parking spaces.
Not a criticism but when we stayed it was very hot so just to note the room didn't have air con.
