Lovely views great location

Very dated. Heating was not enough, only two little fan heaters which cannot be left on.

The place was absolutely perfect for me and my partner

Everything from the kitchen to the bathroom and bedroom was exceptionally clean

Stunning views from both sides of the property, wonderful. Great location, but you need a car around here. Thought it was very pricey for what it was - the place is a little tired but it was spotlessly clean. Very charming staff.

Super, newly renovated room, sparkling clean, efficiently equipped kitchen, good induction hobs. Views to die for out over both the sea and the harbour. Quiet, peaceful location ten minutes and a hill into the town centre.

Most uncomfortable beds ,and dogs barking all night ,no air conditioning, it was 60 degrees inside house ,

The property was exceptional we LOVED it! We honestly hadn’t done much research into where we were staying and to say we were pleasantly surprised is an understatement! Michelle who welcomed us could not have been nicer, the type of person who makes you feel so so comfortable and at home immediately she is an absolute gem. From the gorgeous hot tub and extremely soft towels to the beautiful view and squeaky clean unit I would 100% stay here again. Again we want to thank Michelle she couldn’t have been nicer. Definitely recommend x

Extremely clean facility and felt like home. Kitchen was next level. Spa was too good with sea view in evening n stars at night. The reception was kind n awesome. Also cuddled our little baby a lot n gave that friendly welcome. I am looking forward to stay there again.

View was beautiful out front an from kitchen window. Absolutely loved the space kids were very happy an that being a mum was very satisfying.

Only thing would be the matt in the lounge area I do stretches days for my back an when I sat down it was very hairy n itchy I instantly tock my clothes off as it was like prickles in my clothes everything else was fine. I would say plastic Tupperware would be recommend

I loved the view from the apartment, it was awesome! Location was good for the kids as it wasn’t near a main road.

I disliked the stairs to the apartment only for the kids.

This place is absolutely beautiful!!! Our room was lovely, clean and had the most amazing view of the sea everything from start to finish was excellent. Thank you Michelle we loved it so much we didn't want to leave and ended up re-booking and staying an extra night. Michelle was so accommodating letting us keep our room we really appreciated it and we ill definitely be back!!!

A stunning location with exceptional views both front and back! The unit was pristine and beautifully decorated. We wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you for a very restful stay.

I love the place with stunning view. Whats more we love during the stay is the Hot tub spa. Its a bliss indeed!

Michelle was absolutely amazing. She is so lovely. Felt very at home and comfortable. One of the best places we have stayed. The place was so clean and tidy. Everything you need plus some. The spa is to die for and the shower is lovely. Beds comfortable. L

So so clean. Wonderful host. Great location. We stayed here with our two kids aged 8 and 10. The owner was sooo lovely. She even put our washing up away #shame. Would defo come back thank you.

Firstly, this place was newly renovated and very clean. Our unit has a jacuzzi on the balcony and was fantastic, even through the colder nights. The TV was already signed in to Netflix, Disney +, TVNZ etc., so we didn't have to worry about entering our logins. This town is also very save where everyone lookout for each other, even if your a visitor.

Nothing much. The only thing was there was a balcony light we couldn't switch off, but further to this we couldn't see anything wrong with the place, service and hospitality.

The owner is so friendly and helpful. We had a great stay with her! The rooms are very spacious and modern and everything is new and clean! Parking is nearby! Sunrise is very nice! The jacuzzi is the best! With stars above you :-)

A comfortable and spacious motel unit with a glorious view. Kitchen was well equipped, good WiFi, comfortable beds. The motel is being renovated. Owner was very helpful.

Absolutely love this gem of a place. The staff are fantastic and hassle free. The location was perfect and the views were gorgeous. This was my 2nd visit and it won't be my last:)

The location and views are awesome! And our host Michelle was so sweet - she brought us the most delicious date loaf I've ever had to apologize for some minor excavator noise going on in the morning for a couple of hours.

The weather! We would have loved to enjoy the views the terrace and the deck chairs thoroughly but unfortunately a storm pummeled Ranui Lodge for one whole night and the following day - well, that's the way it is and nothing to be done about it...

Sitting on the balcony overlooking the bay made for relaxing evenings and a great breakfast spot. Easy walk to bay side with cafes, The World Famous Fish N Chips, and supermarket.

Just went through the cyclone at this property. Our hostess Michele checked in with us daily to ensure we were safe. Offered to take us grocery shopping , even brought us homemade cookies to make sure we were comfortable. That is truly what you want from a host . Our wellbeing was her major concern. The best experience we could have had under the circumstances. Kudos

The beds were uncomfortable. Nowhere in bathroom to put toiletries or clothes whilst showering.

This was the super amazing stay! We loved Ranui Lodge totally and the views from the rooms was just amazing! We had all we need, kitchen, bathroom, laundry service, parking and beautiful view and garden&patio. Michelle is the best host ever, she is so friendly and helpful. We felt like she is someone in our family. Thanks to her and her lovely lodge. Definitely will stay again if ever visit Mangonui!

Outstanding view from the balcony and there's good outdoor furniture from which to enjoy it. Very clean, roomy and well furnished unit.

Like many motels this one suffers a bit from it's age, carpets and some fittings definitely in need of updating and they're having trouble with their Wi-fi (a nuisance since the only TV is via the wi-fi)

It’s looking a bit tired but the view more than made up for that!

My husband and eight year old daughter stayed here while visiting family in the area, and we absolutely loved it. The motel is clean and comfortable, thoughtfully stocked, and the view! The view is stunning, and cannot be beat. It is conveniently located to shops and restaurants within walking distance (although uphill on the way back, heads up for those less mobile), and has everything you might need in the rooms, great value.
