Great location. Room was huge, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast quite extensive but not much for a vegan but that’s pretty much everywhere in China. More fruit would have been nice. But hot soy milk was provided. Staff helpful through google translate. Would stay here again

Hotel bellissimo e posizione perfetta per arrivare in centro a piedi. Fate solo attenzione che su amap lo trovate come GALAXY HOTEL ma non preoccupatevi perché l’esterno è molto riconoscibile quindi non potete sbagliarvi.

Nous ont fait un late check out jusqu'a 14 h alors que partout c'est midi maximum Ils ont aussi a disposition une laverie avec machine a laver sèche linge a disposition Petit déjeuner large choix mais uniquement de type asiatique dommage

Tot estava perfecte. Habitacions molt àmplies, tot molt net i personal molt amable.

L'habitació feia una mica de pudor de tabac però no vaig poder triar habitació de no fumador.

My stay at the Milky Way Way Hotel was thoroughly enjoyable, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chongqing, especially for its incredible convenience. Location & Accessibility: Excellent The location is this hotel's biggest asset. It's literally about a 3-minute walk to the Line 2 MRT station, making city travel a breeze. A key tip: the hotel is very well-known among Didi drivers, so you'll have no trouble getting picked up or dropped off. We took Line 2 directly to the Chongqing Zoo to see the pandas, which was incredibly easy. Room & Cleanliness: Very Good Our room was cleaned impeccably every day. We were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a better room upon arrival, which was a lovely welcome. The room was quiet, with no noise from the road, ensuring a good night's sleep. The only minor issue we encountered was that the bathtub drained slowly and got jammed after a bath, but it wasn't a major problem for our short stay. Amenities & Services: Thoughtful The daily complimentary two bottles of mineral water and yogurts were a very nice touch. The breakfast offered a great spread, with more Chinese dishes than Western options. My personal routine was two fried eggs, a cup of milk, some local mee and wanton, fresh fruits, and tea – it was perfect to start the day. A Hidden Gem: The Travel Agency Right next to the hotel counter, there is a travel agency. We used their services to charter a private car for 3 days to visit Fairy Mountain, Jinfo Mountain, and the Dazu Rock Carvings. The price was very reasonable. Important Note: The driver did not speak any English. To make this work, you MUST do your homework on the locations beforehand and have a WeChat account for translation and communication. It was a fantastic experience, but requires a bit of preparation.

Era viejito. No me gustó el trato de una de las recepcionistas fue nefasto, no nos atendió correctamente.

La habitación que me dieron era enorme, la ubicación es fabulosa a cinco minutos de una estación de metro que está donde Jiefangbei, una zona llena de restaurantes y tiendas. Buena relación calidad-precio.

El desayuno para occidentales un poco escaso de opciones. Me costó encontrarlo ya que no tiene el nombre del hotel en inglés por fuera y en las aplicaciones de mapas no aparecía

Muy buena ubicación y muy buen desayuno. Amplia habitación aunque instalaciones algo anticuadas. Necesita reforma.

Al personal le falta mostrarse un poco más predispuesto a ayudar al huésped.

Albergo centralissimo, a pochissima distanza sia dal grattacielo Kuixing sia dalla famosa attrazione di Hongyadong. La stanza è molto grande e molto confortevole, ci sono addirittura i probiotici per digerire l’hotpot tipico della città, acqua in abbondanza ed un frigorifero che funziona davvero, rinfrescando o, addirittura, congelando, se si vuole, la propria bevanda. Il bagno è ben accessoriato, con doccia e vasca. Se proprio devo trovare un difetto alla stanza, è la moquette. Ma si perdona facilmente, tenuto conto di tutto il resto. Il personale è molto disponibile: mi hanno dato una colazione al sacco per un’escursione in giornata a Leshan ed aiutato con l’applicazione per chiamare il taxi, quando ne ho avuto bisogno. La colazione a buffet è ricca e gustosa, con possibilità di wonton o uova cucinati al momento. Molto molto bene. Consiglio a tutti questa struttura, ma attenzione perché sulle mappe non è sempre facile da trovare. I cinesi lo chiamano “galaxy” anziché “milky way”, perchè da quello che ho capito è la traduzione più letterale del nome in cinese.

The hotel seriously needs a renovation. As soon as you enter you feel/smell the moisture and the carpet is very old, you don’t feel comfortable walking without slippers on..

Old fashioned and kind of old. The entire hotel smelled like cigarettes, the bathroom was the worse, the front desk help didn’t speak English and it was hard to communicate. Breakfast not good at all, I would not stay here again, I suggest another location if visiting Chongqing try a different hotel - trust me

距離十八梯，解放碑，洪崖洞，魅星樓景點很近，從地鐵站去酒店也祇需幾分鐘很方便，職員服務態度也很友善，房間冷氣夠冷，熱水又夠熱，下次来重慶也會再次考慮入住

Just minutes away from the metro.

Quite a dated hotel. The bf was typical Chinese setting and menu with chopsticks as the only cutlery (at least we got to try eating water melon with it). Luckily there was no butter served to go with the buns, otherwise… Nevertheless, the Chinese food was the typical chaofen, porridge and noodle with the complements..quite good though. At least it gave a decent meal. Just beware, no coffee for bf. Try corn or yam drink instead. The staff are not too obliging in many ways, don’t be overly expectant.

Good location, lots of food nearby. Very large rooms with daily amenities. The staff was nice and accommodating.

Rooms smelled like smoke and kind of old. Took a day of having the ac running to get rid of smell. Very old style building. The dryer for laundry in the lobby did not dry much at all.

The hotel is very dated, but at the same time it's high level and offers huge rooms with city view.

My family really enjoyed staying at this hotel and this location. We had the family suite and it was very spacious and clean. Location was great. The hotel even had a free washer and dryer for guests to use which was a huge bonus! No issues with checking in and out. Our main issue was that sometimes it smelled smoky and we couldn't escape it. It was like someone was smoking in the next room and in the hallway and the smoke just got sucked into our room. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay here.

The Hotel is aged and may need renovation. But the location is great. Walking distance to most landmarks and many good restaurants around. We enjoyed the stay.

1.location is excellent as walking distance to MRT and Jiefangpei, surrounding by lot of restaurants, also near to a Starbucks, local supermarket and convenience shops. 2.Hotel room is big and very clean. 3. Free or breakfast with lot of variety to choose.

Very close to Liberation Monument (Jiefangbei). We used the travel agency in the hotel to arrange two day tours plus our 8 day visit to Chengdu. Very satisfied and happy about it.

This is tricky: - The location is excellent, very close to the metro and to so many things within walking distance (shopping, food, sights, etc). - But the hotel is 30 years old and it really does show. They are renovating it, which is a good move, but that made it unbearable for us, with noisy drilling literally right outside our window (we could look the workers in the eye!) and in rooms nearby. Some of our party have medical conditions that were triggered by the noise. - But the hotel staff went out of their way to help us move rooms to one that was further away from the noise, actually upgrading us to a suite in the process. This was after they had already moved us once due to the strong smell of smoke in the room (quite common in China). So... would I stay there next week? Absolutely not. Not while they are in the middle of renovating. Would I stay there once the renovations were complete? Absolutely.

Very good location, 5 minutes from Time Square, 10 min. to Hongyadong, food street one block away! Very acceptable prices, very good breakfast! In march 2025 the hotel was under reconstruction, it's mean big noises during the day, but who stay in the hotelroom at this time? We cheked in late, close to midnight, without any problems.

It is in the centre of the city, close to everything.

The hotel is excellent value for money, and the location is great. The hotel is within walking distance from the Food Street and Central Plaza, and the Linjiangmen station in Line Two connects very well with the airport and train station. This hotel offers a buffet breakfast, as they mainly receive Chinese tourists, but you are in China, so make sure to enjoy their cuisine, and you will do fine. When we visited in Dec 2024, they had fried rice, noodles, dumplings, sausage, noodles station, boiled eggs, fried eggs, cereal, bread, salad and fruits, juice, black tea and coffee. Make sure to download WeChat Pay and Baidu Maps to have data; you will need it for everything. As well as to write down the name of the hotel in Chinese. It's easy to locate because the street address is bilingual, but the main sign is only in Chinese. It's a fun experience. One important thing to know is that you can actually pay with your Visa or Mastercard for the hotel on arrival. You will notice that both cards are not used in other places, but this hotel accepts them, which we find very convenient. The rooms are perfect. Some people complain that rooms are a bit old, which is part of the charm of being in China. I will happily go back to the same hotel again.

Here, I'm being picky, but the only thing we didn't like was the coffee for breakfast. My wife and I enjoy strong coffee in the mornings, mainly sugary machine-made. However, there are three coffee chains just 2 minute walk from the hotel, so there is nothing to worry about if you also like your coffee strong without sugar. Another thing is that it is still common for people to smoke in close spaces in China. So you will feel a bit of a cigarette smell in the corridors, but it's all good.

Very spacious room. It was great to have a coffee table and chairs to sit at for a few beers after a long day's walk. Fairly close to attractions and metro stations. Staff were friendly.

A few of the features were a bit dated, but this was ok. Everything worked fine. It did take a bit of trying to get the wifi working, though.

Close metro station and shops

Although the interior looks a bit old, it is quite clean. The location is good as it is near to subway stations and attractions. Other than mineral water, hotel provides complimentary yogurt too. Just that there are some constructions going on near the hotel, and it continues until late night, so it might be quite disturbing to some.

The noise from construction nearby, old facilities, price does not match the hotel current state. Definitely needs an upgrade. One of the cleaners keeps insisting on coming to the room when we clearly said no and put up a DND sign. She came in when we went down for breakfast. Lastly the whole place is a smoking zone.

24hr front desk, restaurant and cleaning staff displayed excellent service quality and professionalism. Initially planned to only stay for 2 nights with breakfast. It’s the service, comfort and cleanliness that made us stay for another 4 nights. Wanted to taste the local breakfast in the neighbourhood but opted for hotel breakfast instead until checkout. That’s thanks to staff like 刘德梅 who was obliging, courteous and professional. She was always attentive to our needs (e.g. how to operate the beverage equipment or what’s the best tasty local food of the day). Well ventilated, clean, soundproofed and spacious rooms. Definitely recommending Milky Way Hotel. It’s the staff who make the difference.

Big room, I dont know if they upgraded because It seemed bigger than 25 square meters that we booked. The location is superb, close to everything and you can walk to the bridge and Hongyadong. We had a problem with wifi and a gentleman from the staff solved It right away. The staff was superb like everywhere in China right now. The price was very good for the location and the size of the rooms. The maids were very kind too.

The hotel was bit outdated, but that was bot an issue for us. And sometimes in the morning the school that was ahead of the hotel made some noises but It was ok too.

A walking distance from Linjiangmen metro station (Exit 2). Nearby to Hongyadong (Hongya Cave) and Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street. There's a small halal restaurant located in alley behind this hotel as well.

Hotel name sign is in Mandarin only. It might be difficult for a non-mandarin speaker to find this hotel for the first time.

Excellent hôtel avec un bon rapport qualité/prix. Très calme malgré son emplacement en centre-ville Entouré de toutes les commodités. Ambiance feutrée et confortable. Le service est impeccable, grande disponibilité et amabilité du personnel. Le client est choyé et peut trouver réponse à ses besoins sans difficulté : excursions, change de monnaie, service de bagagerie, etc... Une restauration délicieuse et variée avec des plages horaires larges. Un service de ménage efficace tout en prenant en compte le respect de l'environnement et en évitant le gaspillage. Je recommande vivement pour un séjour réussi et sans souci.

Hotel Chongqing Room 911 Rest: The air conditioning worked well, no noise from outside. Room: Comfortable bed with two pillows of different consistencies. Spacious bathroom with a bathtub. Cleanliness: Everything was clean. WiFi: Not used. Breakfast: Oriental style, but very complete. Location: Good, with a nearby metro. Notes: Very old establishment, but well-maintained. The front desk staff do not speak English, but they try to help by translating with an app.

Convenient located in the city center, not faar from the subway station. Close to the main shopping areas. The rooms are quite old but confortable.

The hotel decoration is quite old and needs some maintenance. The breakfast is poor and crowded. There is not much varieety and mostly chinese style. Not eaven a decent coffee.

The staff from the reception, on first day was not so helpfull..i asked if they can help me with booking for some train tickets because i didnt knew the chinezse language and train apps and they started to laugh eachother and no help from their side..
