could here someone above or beside snoring like a madmen which was the only negative and also understand not much that can be done. I also do not like the old school bed topping, I am not a fan and would be great to upgrade to modern duvet and bed topping.

Reviewed Sep 1, 2026Great location - right next door to the supermarket, an in town so walking distance to shops. Nice warm room, comfy bed. Had everything I needed - kitchenette, bathroom, TV, heating. Room service was daily and i felt they went above and beyond. Id left dishes in the sink that i was going to clean when i got back, but they did them for me and put them away. The topped-up toiletries/tea/coffee etc and replaced my towels.
The bathroom is nice, but could do with new blinds, the current roller blind is rusty and falling apart. The paint on the ceiling was peeling in parts as well. Very superficial and didn't affect the overall experience of the room - just feedback.

We were in a downstairs unit. The noise from above was terrible; unbelievably loud from groaning floorboards. Didn't help that the men's group above were walking around heavily until 2:30am. Water pressure in shower was weak.

Tired decor, chipped paint etc. I thought it was quite expensive for what it was - though to be fair, all the accommodation in Alexandra seems to be expensive.

Reviewed Apr 7, 2026The room was great, nothing to complain about. The bed was fantastic, very comfortable. The Location was excellent, handy to everything, shops, supermarkets etc.
FIRSTLY: The establishment needs to seriously upgrade to "PayWave" like many other establishments for customers who use PayWave to pay. Luckily I had a back-up plan but for those who only have access on their phones to digitally pay for accommodation there's always going to be a hiccup. Maybe advertise that PayWave is not available on your website and the Booking.com site so guests are prepared (just in case). SECONDLY: This may only be a minor thing but we noticed that the refrigerator wasn't turned on until the last day of our stay when we noticed the milk had gone off and nothing was cold UNTIL we saw a switch above the kitchen sink. When we arrived on our first day, we turned the switch on but couldn't work out what is was for so we left it off only to find out on the last day the switch was for the fridge. Too little too late as we were leaving anyway. Maybe the establishment should put a sticker on the switch with the word "REFRIGERATOR" on it let the guests know what it's for.
