We loved the location and quiet surroundings. The breakfast set up and supplies were very substantial and delicious thank you 🙏
Unfortunately the sheets of the bed I slept in had a number of human hairs from someone else. I was a bit concerned that the sheets had been previously slept in. Once I removed the hairs it was ok.
Stunning views, well equipped kitchen, it has everything you could need and more. Such a nice touch having homemade jams available to use
Stone Store Lodge was a little piece of heaven set into a beautiful forest, but with the convenience of the Plough & Feather pub and The Stone Store (New Zealand’s oldest building) only a 10min walk away. It’s also very close to the beautiful rainbow falls and the township of Kerikeri itself. The shared space is large (we were fortunate to have the whole space to ourselves) and the fridge was stocked with provisions for breakfast.

the location is amazing, right in a bush setting with extensive views!
The self serve breakfast was more than adequate and the location/environment excellent
Suggest a grabrail in the shower -I have found that shower floors can be very slippery in most establishments.
Location was excellent - a very tranquil setting and close to everything, airport, shops and tourist destinatlons. Breakfast facilities were very good with everything we needed provided for a 'healthy start' to the day. Did have to ask for low fat milk, but that was provided prompty on request. Loved the sitting room area, with log fire - very cosy and comfortable. Met some very nice fellow travellers to share a wine with, which was a bonus!
I did find the best too soft for my liking, not great support. Need it as we get older! Also bedding, whilst clean, could have been better quality - and probably pressed!
Great position and setting, comfortable light filled room with high ceilings, good guest facilities and fabulous muesli made by the host, Richard. It was a bonus meeting Richard on arrival as he set the scene of a warm comfortable place to stay.
Photo of the room didn't do it justice.
Fly screens installed in the bedroom and bathroom and the view from the balcony
The beds were two beds pushed together with no topper so there was a gap in the middle. The communal kitchen needs a thorough clean and really the rest of the building. Cobwebs, sticky door handles and a clump of hair on the floor in our bathroom. The breakfast was below par with minimal choice, the bananas in the fruit bowl were literally black. Showering in the morning at 9:30am and the hot water ran out. Definitely not up to “luxury” standards.
Large room
Mattress needs replacing, not clean.
The room was spacious, but that is where the positives end.
Site didn't identify kitchen was shared at the time. The 'good breakfast', was directed to containers of cereal in a cupboard, with bread, eggs and yoghurt in the fridge. Uncomfortable worn beds with hard line down the centre (2 singles pushed together). Booking was for a Deluxe Studio and definately was below standard.
Fantastic place to stay we loved it!
Lovely setting in serene bushland location. Private and comfortable. Lovely host and support staff.
Parking was a little inconvenient.
The room was amazing. Bed comfortable great shower spacious. Clean
The WiFi needs a lot of work. Tv could not even connect the only thing wrong!!
Beautiful tranquil environment Super clean and comfy beds Also terrific breakfast food and area
East to relax and feel stress free.
We were not used to an open kitchen shared with others, however absolutely fine.
Excellent selection of options in the shared kitchen. It is a small lodge and we left early so it was quiet and peaceful.
Nothing really. As long as the travelers are aware that there is not cooking facilities in the rooms it will exceed most peoples expectations.
Never happened, Left in the hour. The accomodation was very dissatisfied, due to the smell of mildew,we went out on the deck and discovered dozens of ants. We understood as advertised there was breakfast, for example eggs Benedict. Spoke to Richard and he replied no that he has supplied cereal yoghurt bread.and sorted jams. Very disappointed after travelling a distance. I would appreciate full payment back.
Amazing comfortable beds, we slept so well. Had everything we needed and could have wanted. Beautiful balcony and view. Nothing could have been better
It was in a quiet location, away from busy town centre,, close to old store house, Kemp House and excellent Plough & Feather restaurant. Room was large with great garden view.
Im not a fussy, fussy type and our room was good and large enough but believe it needed a more detailed clean in certain spots.
The property was very comfortable ad clean. The ambience and interior design was superb. The vista over the garden was awesome
Nothing
Private quiet location close the heritage sites and restaurants
Beautiful location surrounded by native bush and everything you need at hand.
This is lovely!!! We are fussy and the place is perfect. Loved the space, the living areas, the room, the bush, the location. It was bang on!!
Beautiful spot, and a great pub just down the street.
Persona ultra gentile e simpatica. Posizione della camera spettacolare. Colazione self service in cucina dove ci sono uova, pane, marmellate, cereali, yogurt
Beautiful setting.
Lovely location
Digital satellite signal was sketchy
La maison entourée par la végétation est magnifique. La chambre spacieuse et lumineuse. Bien placé
Great property and nice touches with the breakfast and coffee for example. We will stay again.

The property was private, quiet and the bed was comfortable.
tidy tv smart
Loved the location which was a couple of minutes walk to The Stone Store and Plough and Feather pub
Everything was lovely
It was a beautiful house and garden , in a great location. With lovely staff.
Beautiful facility and location. Helpful hosts.
Location and ambience
Nice location near Stone store, private and quiet also very spacious room with private bathroom and access to kitchen facilities. Couldn’t have asked for more. Excellent value for money and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you to our host.
Clean and comfortable and safe
Bread for breakfast. Few basic veggies like Onions and tomatoes for breakfast
It was a comfortable, clean accommodation with beautiful surroundings. We LOVED the heated floor & mirror in the bathroom. It was nice to have a little fridge in our own room. It was warm & welcoming.
In NZ it gets dark very early in the winter. We arrived after dark & it was very difficult to see the sign on the road, find the entrance to get in & the lighting was not patron friendly. That was our only frustration. When we got inside & found our room, the stay was very nice.
The location was great as close to the Plough & Feather. Very quiet too. Roomy and very cosy and high ceilings make it seem bigger.
Nothing really.
Super comfortable with everything we needed
Quiet, peaceful and comfortable

Private rooms linked to nature. Interesting building. Comfortable & private. Good location. Great breakfast. Would happily stay again :)

the space was lovely. everything we needed. loved the kitchen and lounge and outdoor areas. pity we were only staying a night!
the room was quite cold and I felt like I needed a warmer duvet or thick blanket.bthe air con was noisy to run while sleeping.
Beautifull setting if you love naturel NZ bird life. 5 wood pigeons graced us with there presents for breakfast, magic.
Location, peace & quiet sun shine.
So much extra effort by owner - was amazing as it was my brother in law 60th birthday & we didn’t want to go out so we made a home cooked meal - he’s. Vegetarian The fireplace 😍 the use of kitchen & the lounge was really a treat after a long drive from Rotorua

The room was spacious and stylish. The common-area lounge and kitchen were well equipped and complete. There were several good choices as part of the self-serve breakfast.
Our host was totally relaxed and very pleasant. Building the lodge was a labour of love for him. It’s in a beautiful bush setting and he is very knowledgeable about the area.
Lovely options for breakfast with a well set up kitchen and dinning area.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay even though the weather was miserable. Room was spacious and had everything we needed and then the shared kitchen and lounge made it easy to make food instead of eating out every meal. Would come back again!
Loved the high ceiling, native bush and lovely little touches like the natural haircare and skincare products
Great place to stay. So peaceful and clean. Definately will be back. Dee
We didn’t have time for breakfast. The location was fantastic.
There is nothing we didn’t like.
Lovely staff! Good location: not far away from the city center, conveniently close to the river track and more peaceful part of the city. Had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Beautiful building, rooms with an open balcony.
It’s the tiniest note, but a few spots could use some cleaning. And I do understand the bond and respect this place has with nature, but we felt a slight neglect here and there. Which didn’t affect our stay hugely. And we definitely recommend this property to other travelers!
Lovely comfortable stay at The Stone Store Lodge. Beautiful, peaceful setting amongst the trees. Loved the kitchen and lounge areas and being able to have breakfast there. Particularly enjoyed the granola!
We enjoyed our stay. Wonderful large windows and balcony overlooking the bush. Excellent choice for breakfast. Very quiet, would highly recommend this property.
Very serene location amongst the bush. Nice property with awesome shared spaces like kitchen lounge and different indoor and outdoor living spaces. The rooms are nice and comfortable too.
The breakfast was very nice, but I didnt realise we had to cook it ourselves.
Everything provided , very comfortable and excellent location

Amazing accommodation stunning location and fantastic hosts all combined to make it an exceptional stay.
Spacious private room. Great shared kitchen and huge lounge areas. We enjoyed a simple dinner in this area.Lovely breakfast provisions.
Entrance is not welcoming, thought we had arrived at a backpackers when in fact it was amazing accommodation.
Location and warmth of the home. Stephanie was very welcoming. Very quiet, perfect for couple stay. Good facilities, relaxing atmosphere. Enjoyed making our own breakfast and not having to schedule a time.
Nothing
Beautiful surroundings. Quiet. Small and private. Balcony looking over bush. Birdsong. Proximity to basin, walks and excellent pub. Use of kitchen and DIY breakfast things provided.
Some of the items were a bit tatty. The towels had holes and the soaps were very watered down - I agree 100% with looking after the environment, but this felt a bit unfair given the cost and quality in other areas being so good (heated floor in bathroom, heated towel rail).
The views from the room were amazing! We were living in the tree tops! The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with a great shower room. The kitchen area was well-equipped and we were able to make our breakfast at our leisure and to sit looking at another amazing view. We had a wonderful stay with Richard and are already booked to return.
Nothing to dislike.
Great clean, private, airy room with a very peaceful forrest outlook. The communal area was very clean and well appointed. Great proximity to the Stone store cafe and plough and feather hotel and restaurant(strongly recommend dinner at the restaurant)
Could not stay longer due to other commitments
Spaciousness, the level of amenities in the room as well as the common area.

Loved the place and wished we had stayed a few days , the stars at night the birds in the morning just magical
