Hampton by Hilton Bristol City Centre

Friendly and welcoming staff. Convenient location. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Abundant breakfast choice.

Close to historic area.

given the room that was not prepared twice. The staff and manager on duty were not attentive and seemed to ignore the issues, blaming their own system. Our room smelled so bad and was old and outdated. The only thing the manager on duty said was "What do you want me to do". Also, the health issue, the staff who checked us in kept coughing, looked like she had a cold or something that could spread the virus to guests.

Once we figured out the surroundings, everything was within walking distance.

Great breakfast choices

Was ok but there room was extremely dust and my partner had trouble breathing due to illness

Very pleasing large room. Ask for a corner room if you want some space.

Our stay was great. The room was clean and looked great. The staff were absolutely friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

Bed was extremely uncomfortable. I wasn't able to sleep very well. Breakfast wasnt very nice.

Nice staff, quiet and decent breakfast. Beds not great

Cleaners knocked on the door 3 times in the morning and just came into the room without checking once.

Although it states parking is available this is at an additional charge in a secure carpark. I paid over £20 for the night and my car was ransacked. Emailed the hotel and have not received a reply. Receptionist had a set patter which she delivered to my daughter whilst ignoring me who was paying. A real shame as other hilton hotels have exceeded our expectations

English Breakfast disappointing,

It ticked all the boxes. Just what we needed at the right price. Only down side was the bed was quite small other than that it was clean and comfortable

Perfect location for exploring the city! The hotel and room were very clean and staff were very polite. Sadly the bed was awful we both had bad backs and unable to sleep, asked for an extra duvet and this still did not make it comfier. Pillows were also hard and over used. Our shower did not also drain properly. Overall was quite disappointed. Our room also smelt of smoke when we opened the curtains and had an awful view of a dirty roof.

Excellent. Bathroom disabled friendly.

Had a wonderful time and I’m so happy they followed through with the special request! Absolutely made the trip and can’t recommend this hotel enough!!

Friendly check in staff. Clean room and good breakfast

Bit disappointed with room, sheets had hairs, marks and tears. Common areas are very basic. Breakfast was nothing special. Definitely the lower end of its star rating. Didn’t feel the price reflected the experience.

Comfortable and easy access to central shopping area

Although the room was very nice - it was very dusty. The service i received from more than 3 members of staff was appalling. It took 25 minutes to check in. It was 11pm by the time the checkin process was completed and was advised that food places close 10pm. I chose to to have the only available option to me, a pizza (which was not worth the price). Upon collecting it i was ignored (even though the colleague had called me to come out of the room to collect it). Requirements for parking isnt clear and NCP car park has Holiday Inn on it. Staff did not apply the duscount agreed to the car park as i use the NCP app- this wasnt clear or advertised. This process also took along as the member of staff was unsure, and said none of his colleagues know the answer to the discount application (without even asking them!). I left an item as i was in a rush to get out and called reception within 15minutes - i did not receive a response until 5 hours later. And by this time, i had left Bristol. Even though i had emailed as per their instruction leaving my contact details. Genuinly disappointed and will not be staying here again. Staff training and service require significant improvement.

Good location, friendly staff, nice clean room & free breakfast.

Room was smelly. No fridge in room, below parr. Wouldn’t stay there again

Always a good overnight stay when we come to Bristol. Clean, comfortable, well located with convenient NCP parking next door (25% discount). There was a fire alarm at 7.15am when we stayed, which caused chaos & the staff just stayed behind the reception desk which was odd, and nobody was organising the guests. Another slight negative. If you choose a later breakfast the ‘hot’ food is likely to have been there ages, so hard & luke warm at best. A lot of the cold buffet had not been replenished ( this was at 9.15). However, overall a good stay.

ry handy city centre location at a reasonable price. Good breakfast buffet included

The room was really lovely and spacious, felt very modern with lots of lighting and mirrors. Comfy and cosy bed so we both slept amazingly, and the breakfast was a great, lots of options! Was the best way to start to the day!

Had a lovely stay just what we needed. Breakfast was beautiful staff very friendly

Friendly staff, comfy beds, great shower room, super clean, great location and free breakfast. 👍

Good central location

The hotel is excellent value. Friendly staff, comfortable room and great choice at breakfast.

Comfortable room in a modern, well-appointed hotel in the city centre. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast selection was good.

Clean modern city centre hotel at a reasonable price. Excellent buffet breakfast included with proper US waffle makers!

Friendly staff and good value.

good value, nice breakfast.

The room was very small, but functional bathroom was nice however the shower was not as powerful as I was hoping for. Breakfast was dreadful over cooked Bacon and not sure if the sausages were meat, had the continental offering the following day. I was slightly disappointed with the whole experience. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Great for money , parking next door 25% off

The service was fantastic, very good breakfast in the morning. Was just a shame we had dirty sheets on the sofa bed from the guests who had stayed in the room before.

Nice and quiet hotel, clean and spacious room, comfortable bed, nice staff. A bit far from the city center by foot, but close to bus station.

Friendly greeting at reception. Asked why we were visiting and after explaining our reason, the receptionist printed off maps of the Banksy walking trail, plus a map of the city centre. She was very helpful. Breakfast was ‘complimentary’ and was quite good. Would stay again.

Very comfortable stay, lovely bed to sleep in. Great team on reception. Central location, highly recommended.

Staff were very friendly and attentive

Room is quite spacious

Check in was ok, but I didn't really feel welcome. Housekeeping standards dropped significantly. Basic room with very little to clean yet on my 2 night stay the floor wasn't swept or the bin changed, neither was my tea tray cleaned and replace.. still dirty mug and teabags left. The only thing that had been done was the bed pulled over and the toilet roll and a towel replaced

It was a nice and comfortable environment. The service was very good. Breakfast was also very good. The only thing that I was expecting to find was a fridge.

The room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels etc. the service on arrival was disappointing and the gentleman greeting us wasn’t particularly friendly. I didn’t think many of the staff were very warm and welcoming apart from one lady who served me behind the snack bar. I didn’t get her name but she was lovely and the only one out of 3/4 members of staff that actually took the time to chat and be nice.

It was noisy a few nights of our stay.

Breakfast is great especially the waffle maker for self service. Staff is nice. The aircon is automatic, and needs to be turned off manually and not highly eco friendly. Sound proof is weak at room door unfortunately the neighbors are very noisy at night I should have called the front desk. Overall it’s a great place to stay, location is excellent with lots of connecting bus from London and to Cardiff.

Car park fees expensive

Good location An occasion happened on arrival at the reception which make me upset of how receptionist approached to the guest. Cleaning standards was not satisfied In many of occasions we have to request. Refill of tea bags and ect was on request!!!!

Not overly impressed. First time staying with this chain. I'll be going back to Premier Inn in the future. Miserable receptionist. Dirty carpets in corridors. Sticky staircase. The only members of staff who smiled were housekeeping and a lad clearing breakfast trays. Breakfast ok. Room cleanliness ok. But the bed was the solid and uncomfortable it was made up was weirdly.(see photo) a sheet folded length ways so it didn't reach the sides of mattress. Bit annoying when you've paid £150. I'll stick to what I know next time. Premier Inn for a better night's sleep!

Room, cleanliness, staff and breakfast were all amazing! I’ll stay here again 100%

Property was clean and staff helpful as well as friendly. Access & exit from the street confusing. Breakfast eating area somewhat lacked a certain intimacy. (Not on display to passer byers).

The staff were pleasant and helpful but the condition of the hotel poor. It needs refurbishing. Carpets dirty marks on painted areas. Shower didn’t empty so a problem with drainage. Also very noisy with sounds from outside

Spacious room. Good security (need access card to access door to lift). Though rated as 3.5 star hotel, it is as good as many 4-star hotels around and it is relatively cheap

The staff are very friendly

Overpriced for sure. Small rooms and not with 250 pounds. But was a good location.

Great all around stay. Clean hotel, good room, nice food. Would stay again when next in Bristol

This hotel is ideally placed for the City Centre, and has a secure NCP car park next to it. Check-in was quick - we arrived at 2pm and were told by the slightly disinterested receptionist that the room was ready but check-in didn’t officially start until 3, so we could either pay an early check-in fee or join the “Honors” scheme and get it for free. Clearly I said the latter, and nothing more was said. I will need to look up what the Honors scheme does. The lady then gave us our keys and directed us to the lifts across the foyer. However, after some aimless wandering and asking a friendly cleaner, it turned out that we had a ground floor room, which isn’t accessible via the lifts but is actually accessed via an unmarked door at the opposite end of the foyer. No idea why we were sent to the lifts. We eventually found the room, which was nicely appointed and looked fresh and modern, with some nice artwork on the walls. There was a choice of pillows and a firm but comfortable bed. The bathroom was nice. It was mostly very clean except for a concerning large brown stain on the chair. I’d have hoped someone would have noticed and cleaned it. We had a good night’s sleep and found the room to be quiet. Breakfast the next morning was reasonable, with a small buffet selection that seemed to adequately cater for those who were there. In conclusion, a nice, central hotel with parking nearby and the promise of a reasonable night’s sleep.

The staff at the hotel were lovely, friendly and accommodating. The hotel was of a good standard with a convenient location and the free breakfast was a great benefit.

Staff were amazing, welcoming and friendly. No bath and shower bracket holding glass on place was black mould. Coffee cup stain on bedside table. The air conditioning was noisy. The sound proofing was poor internally and externally could hear traffic, people screaming and general drunken behaviour.

The hotel was comfortable and very friendly.Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very central. I found the aircon difficult to manage.Wardrobe space was limited. It was great to have an iron and ironing board Breakfast was ok but not brilliant The bar was pleasant and a good place to meet up

Ac wouldn’t turn off repair man couldn’t fix had to change room

The staff weer really helpful and couldnt do enough for us and the room was clean and modern will certainly come again

Good overall, very good location just opposite Cabot Circus, first day breakfast was bit chaotic with some items ,but overall nothing to complain really, room condition good and service done daily.

Stayed at this hotel a number of times now and it has been good every time. If you are like me and don't like a crowd at breakfast it is worth getting down there befoe 9.

The room and bathroom were horrible

value for money. Central to city. friendly staff

Rooms a lot smaller than the pics portray on your website, but comfortable.

Gentleman on the front desk was amazingly helpful and kind, Organising my bus journey back to southmead hospital Thank you so much

Staff, especially Sara, on reception was extremely helping and caring about the guests. Rooms too small, sofa bed is lile sleeping on a bench! no fridge or even water in the room! Please remove the Hilton name - it is very cheap and low end not what you'd expect from hilton brand

Its a bog standard hotel on a busy road in central bristol. Decent breakfast. Poor chambermaid service. Reception staff fine.

Stayed for 2 nights as I was visiting my daughter. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Breakast was excellant and staf very friendly and helpful. Only downside, was no drinking glasses in room. A few more tea bags would be heplful. Minor detail

Very central

Lovely, helpful staff. Great rooms, close to the train station and city centre.

Good reception staff, very helpful and knowledgeable about the city.

Weekend theatre break. We were met with a friendly smile and supportive desk staff. The hotel was very well presented, clean and comfortable room.

Nice room and view but couch bed hadn’t been set up in family room, and we had to request milk pods, shower gel and toilet rolls. Lovely staff though

Started staying at Hampton Bristol 3 years ago and the breakfast went from being one of the highlights to being absolutely worthless (nothing remotely close to pre-covid levels)

Friendly staff, comfy rooms, walking distance to many amenities and harbour, just a pleasant stay overall. Anything we needed in the room the staff accommodated as best they could. The breakfast was pretty good too!

Unusually I was asked on which floor would Ilike my room. Chose the top floor for rooftop view. Added to my appreciation of my stay and the city.

The staff - particularly Sarah at the front desk - were particularly helpful

Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, convenient location

.

We found the Hotel to be pleasant and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast, especially the waffle maker!

Really good hotel with plenty of space, which surprised me for a city centre property. Parking is in the NCP next door, but you get 25% discount if you validate your ticket at reception. Really friendly staff. I had a good stay, thank you

Staffs are friendly. Good location. Good breakfast, beds are comfort.

Weekend away with family. Staff were lovely and breakfast was amazing

Hotel was very disappointing, rooms were tires and small, breakfast was a 40 minute queue followed by probably the worst offering of breakfast food I’ve seen in a long while. The bathroom had a wet room which is exactly what it was as there was an inch of cold water to greet your feet as you entered. As for the bed, I really don’t know where to start, let’s just say it was rock hard and we endured ten really horrible sleepless nights. Needless to say I definitely will not be returning to this hotel anytime soon, Hilton definitely isn’t what it used to be.

W

My stay was perfect bed was very clean and comfortable

Excellent hotel, great location, wonderful breakfast buffet, very friendly helpful staff

Staff was very helpful at check-in and everyone was very courteous. Really enjoyed the breakfast each morning. Room was adequate but not cleaned second day of visit.

Very comfortable bed and pillows nice breakfast

Room was nice and clean, shower was very good, extremely good breakfast selection open from 6:30am. Thoroughly recommend.

Business type hotel close to the city centre. Easy walking distance to restaurants and bars. Room was spacious and functional. Complimentary breakfast offered a good range of options. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was lovely but the bathroom had not been cleaned as someone had left a broken cup and a spoon in the toilet. The bin had also not emptied. Although housekeeping came and sorted in within about 35mins. Other than that all was okay.

Fab hotel. Central. Clean. Great breakfast.

Enjoyed the stay and location was paramount. We were in walking distance to almost everything. The breakfast was top notch. However one thing I was not sure of and there was no information on it was how often your room get clean. Couple of days my room didn’t get clean and I had to ask for bath towels. Overall, enjoyed stay and will be back.

We ended up walking out after 10 minutes. When we arrived, the receptionist said to her colleague "we don't have a room for them", and needed to get a senior colleague to sort it out. The room we were given was on the ground floor by the common area (not sure why a city centre hotel on a main road has ground floor rooms). The room itself was not clean. The sink and counter was marked and not clean, the bathroom floor was sticky with residue left around the skirting. There were dirty mop marks on the metal trim between the bathroom and hall. The dresser had stains and marks down it. The wall and mirror had several dirty handprints along it, while the room as a whole smelled a little damp. As a minor point - the sofa is basically just a hard board with zero comfort. We ended up staying at a better, cleaner, more comfortable and central hotel for only £5 more. We decided not to try and change rooms because we doubted there would be any better considering there seemed to be a shortage of rooms

Lovely big hotel very clean high standards great location friendly staff would stay here again kind regards
