Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Great location on a side street so you don’t hear the noise from the two busy streets nearby. 10 minute walk too busy downtown. Loved my room. Had a private balcony. Staff added little touches to make the experience even more enjoyable. Light breakfast with yogurt and fruit provided. Will stay here again!
Shower stall a little small, but workable
Loved the landscaping and flowers everywhere. The people at the front desk were exceptional and spoiled my kids every chance they got. Appreciated the breakfast foods, lemonade, and desserts that were all included and available anytime.
Nothing, met all our needs!
Nice cozy place. Very comfortable. Staff went out of their way. Would definitely come back.
員工服務態度非常好,而且提供很多免費的食物和飲料,地點好、停車方便
Nice and quiet, a little further from the noise of the main walking streets. The lady named Rachel at the front desk was very nice and helpful.
Wish the water pressure was better in the shower.
Beautiful and comfortable hotel, very close to the center. Lovely overall.
Very convenient. Had parking onsite.
The location was perfect--quiet and convenient. The staff was exceptionally helpful. Check in was rigid, but it was busy season.
I had requested an early check in which could not be accommodated, but we worked around that as a family
Lovely. Stayed in a king suite in the Island House, located across the street from the main buildings. Private entrance, quiet neighborhood, quick walk to the Village Green and downtown, where we caught the Island Explorer to get to Acadia National Park. Grab’n’go breakfast, coffee/tea/water, and brownies in the afternoon-so good! Christopher was welcoming and helpful. Clean, well- maintained property. Would definitely return!
The hotel is in an excellent location within walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor and very close to Acadia National Park. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We liked the grab and go breakfast in the morning and thought it was a nice touch. The service was outstanding and everyone working the front desk was very knowledgeable of the area. Christopher went above and beyond for our family when our son got sick towards the end of our stay. I would highly recommend and will definitely stay here again.
NA
We had a wonderful time, the Manor was super clean and well located for all we wanted to do in Bar Harbor and Acadia ! Staff was wonderful, great suggestions. Housekeeping was precise and we enjoyed the interaction with other guests. We will stay again in the future.
When we chose Acadia for our family vacation this year, choosing a place to stay was overwhelming. So many options from bed and breakfasts to large scale inns. I turned to Trip Advisor to find Bar Harbor Manor and it did not disappoint. The location is great. You are outside of the downtown chaos but a convenient 5-15 minute walk to all the restaurants and shops in town. Which was wonderful because it gets very chaotic downtown so you will want to walk not drive. The staff was helpful and accommodating in every way. We were checking in later than anyone would be at the desk and I was given clear instructions on my room and key so we could just get to sleep. The next morning they were able to print our Acadia pass for the car so we would not have to wait in lines at the park. I also messed up our booking and was told we would have to switch rooms mid stay and by the time I needed to switch, they had arranged for us to stay in the same room. I wish o had names of these lovely people for a shout out but this is the kind of service you would expect from a small mom and pop establishment. The rooms were spacious, clean and quaint. Plenty of room for our family of 4. Appreciated the large refrigerator and a microwave. My kids (and so did I) I appreciated the afternoon treats of lemonade, cookies and brownies when we came back from hiking in the park. And the highlights of breakfast for sure are the nice coffee bar set up and fresh blueberry muffins. No wonder this is rated so highly in Bar Harbor. It is well deserved. If we ever come back we would for sure stay here.
We are a family of 5 and had a lovely time at this hotel. It is small and quaint. The service was incredibly friendly and welcoming and they gave the best recommendations for food. Our bed was soft and cozy. The AC was very cold and the water pressure was strong. They had a daily lemonade stand and delicious treats set out. The coffee and blueberry muffins for breakfast was excellent. All their treats come from a local bakery and they were delicious. The hotel is in walking distance to everything in bar harbor. We would definitely stay here again.
It was a beautiful property. It was clean, quaint & quiet. The staff was friendly & very helpful.
Easy to walk to shops and restaurants. Enjoyed the lemonade, continental breakfast offerings and afternoon baked goods.
TV was a bit small for the room
We loved our stay at Bar Harbor Inn. We felt welcomed from the moment we checked-in. Rachel was amazing and provided excellent recommemdations. The rooms were clean amd the staff was courteous.
The property is close to downtown and within walking distance of restaurants and the waterfront, Nice pastry for breakfast
The window has cracks. The room feels small and somewhat dated, and additional power plugs for chargers and devices would be a welcome improvement. The price is higher than expected for the room
Très propre, personnel accueillant, bien situé
Déjeuner compris mais pauvre, mieux d’aller à l’extérieur. Pas de piscine (comparé à d’autres hôtel et auberges dans le même coin), également assez cher $$$.
This lodging facility has many wonderful qualities, but its greatest selling point is Christopher! He is a local and an innkeeper at the manor, and his honest, thoughtful, and knowledgeable recommendations for where to eat and what to do truly helped make our trip to Bar Harbor amazing. The location is perfect, with almost everything within a short 4- to 15-minute walk. The coffee in the lobby was delicious—and honestly a little addictive! We also really enjoyed the continental breakfast and the midday snacks. The only area where I would suggest improvement is the room itself. We stayed in a suite, which offered plenty of space and was definitely a plus. However, each time I walked in, I noticed a musty smell. It did seem to fade after being in the room for a while, but it was noticeable at first. I think updating or refreshing the suites would make the stay even more enjoyable and bring the rooms up to the same high standard as the service, location, and overall guest experience.
It was very close to downtown restaurants and shops. The rooms were large and comfy. The employees were super nice, suggesting restaurants and things close by.
Clean, well run
Maybe could use some upgrades but it’s fine as is.
Great staff who were very helpful!
Would have loved an in house bar/restaurant.
Great experience at this motel/hotel. Check-in with Rachael was a breeze and close to everything. Loved the property. Would definitely stay here again.
Our stay here was amazing! The place is super cute and the grounds are beautiful. We had a very nice suite with a separate sitting room with a TV, a bedroom with a king size bed, a little kitchen area with a microwave, small refrigerator and sink and a very large bathroom with a huge tub. Rachel Constance, and Christopher at the front desk were so nice. They had delicious brownies at lunch which was a nice touch.. We also got invited to a sister property of theirs down the street where they had two guys playing guitars and cocktails with a fire pit pit. Nice to be within walking distance to everything in downtown Bar Harbor. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a really great place to stay in Bar Harbor.
The hubby and I enjoyed our week long stay. The king suite, which had a hideaway cottage vibe, was just what we needed following a day of exploring Acadia. Constance was extremely knowledgeable on the challenging hikes we were looking for with maps prepared for us each morning. She also recommended a bioluminescent kayak experience in Castine that was a thrilling experience! And Christopher knew all the best places to enjoy a great dining experience from lobster rolls and pizza to finer dining while in Bar Harbor. Highly recommend the BH Manor for anyone.
Last minute search for a reasonably priced room for one night lead us to Bar Harbor Manor. Super clean, comfortable property and staff is exceptional! Location is nice because it’s a little off the extra busy areas but still easy walking distance to Main St and the West St shops and restaurants. We would highly recommend a stay here!
From the moment we walked in the door and were greeted by Christopher we fell in love with this property. It is a short walk anywhere in Bar Harbor! The beds were very comfortable and we sat out on the balcony to have a drink before dinner. Christopher gave us great dinner recommendations and even made reservations. When he heard I was gluten free he gave me a gluten free cookie and said they had lots of gf options for breakfast! They did! Bobs Reed Mill oatmeal, Udis muffins, yogurt and fruit! We wish we could have stayed here longer.
Staff is very friendly and helpful with recommendations. Location is quiet and close walk to everything. Grab and go breakfast and all day coffee is a nice touch and convenient.
We loved our comfortable and quiet stay at Bar Harbor Manor. From the sweet and informative greeting by Rachel at the front desk to the nice rooms to the walk ability and short drive to Acadia we would stay again!
It was our first time in Bar Harbor and Christopher gave us so many great recommendations! Bar Harbor Manor has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere and the location is the perfect distance from everything! The room was very clean and we were able to park right by it which was a plus. We will definitely be back
Christopher and Rachel were both very professional and helpful with tips and recommendations. We were treated with courtesy which made me feel like family. Great location close to great restaurants and activities. Highly recommend and would love to come again. ❤️❤️❤️😁
Our stay at Bar Harbor Manor was perfect. Both Christopher and Rachel were great in recommending wonderful restaurants and making reservations for us. We were there to celebrate a birthday and anniversary and they made it all that more enjoyable. Also a great location for walks to downtown shopping, the town square and harbor.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Christopher was kind enough to make us a homemade blueberry pie. What other hotel can you go to that would happen? He’s quite a cook. Room was great. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the value was spectacular.
Extremely clean, fresh, well maintained inn. Wonderful staff who knew Bar Harbor and Acadia well and were very informative in guiding us to activities. such as bike rentals, hikes, restaurants. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
The room was clean and the location was extremely convenient! Just about a 10 minute walk to downtown area. This was my first solo trip so I was a little anxious traveling alone as a young woman, but the staff quickly put my angst at ease. Caroline gave me a warm welcome and even suggested some great hiking trails and tips for my trip. The place felt extremely safe! I will say the bolt lock on my hotel room didn’t lock but that’s an easy fix, even with only one lock working I still felt very safe there. Also the 24/7 coffee and tea was a nice touch especially with the early morning and late hikes in the cold!
We stayed in Bar Harbor Manor for several days in the middle of May 2026. We used Bar Harbor Manor as our "home base" for visiting both Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. We had a wonderful experience there. The property overall was in great shape. We stayed in the hotel room, which was very clean and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. There was parking on-site, which made it very convenient for us when we visited downtown Bar Harbor. I should also point out that the hotel was within walking distance of downtown Bar Harbor (about 10-15 minutes walk), but also just outside of the downtown enough that we could enjoy a more quiet atmosphere. A Hannaford supermarket is also a five minute walk away. Finally, Acadia National Park (Hulls Cove Visitor's Center) is a ten minute drive away. The staff was very helpful and professional at check-in and check-out. The warm reception that we received from the staff made our stay at the hotel extra special. We really appreciated Rachel, who was so lovely and warm and worked so hard to ensure that we had the best time during our stay. Rachel recommended many trails, landmarks, and restaurants for us to visit (as well as taking the time to print out maps for us). Rachel was very professional, knowledgeable and always ready to help. She went out of her way to make our stay at Bar Harbor Manor very memorable. Bar Harbor Manor provides a nice "grab and go" continental breakfast: Greek yogurt, breakfast bars, orange juice, bananas, tangerines, apples, muffins, coffee, and tea. The hotel also provided delicious brownies in the afternoon. The ice machine is well stocked with ice, and it located in a convenient location at the front. Again, we are so grateful for our stay at the Bar Harbor Manor, and will absolutely come back for our next visit. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!
Nice location. Clean and comfortable rooms.
Location and staff.
None
It was delightful and clean and friendly staff
I wish it’d have real breakfast vs. “On the go” one.
Great location, friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Great experience. Had a wonderful time in such a lovely property. Christopher was awesome with restaurant suggestions and information. Constance was perfection in helping us find the best hikes to do. Rachel checked is in and was super friendly. Just got the very best service. And the afternoon brownies are to die for. Lol
Very quiet area, super clean property, manicured and landscaped nicely. Minutes from Acadia. Complimentary brownies in the evening. Ice machine and bottle filling station. Grab and go breakfast with yogurt, oatmeal, Kind and Nutragrain bars, fresh fruit, muffins, coffee bar. In-room mini fridge. Porch with chairs outside our room. Plenty of off street parking. Pleasant walk to shops and dining. Christopher at the front desk was super helpful with recommendations and information. Agree with other comments about noise from upper floors of people are loud walkers. Fair prices. Would stay here again!
Great place, great location, great people. Rachel took exceptional care of our group and made sure we had a awesome trip. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
Harbor Manor was quite impressive, and this is coming from someone who is a frequent leisure traveller. The rooms were spacious, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom and facilities were good, the staff were super friendly, and the location is simply perfect. This is right downtown, and only about a 15-minute drive to the main gate of the park. There are plenty of parking spaces, and free cookies in the afternoon!
Fabulous staff with good knowledge of the area and ideas for tourists.Good location near shore walk
Breakfast area not really suitable as there were limited chairs and tables for all guests. The room was a little dated.
I cannot possibly write a good enough review for this place! The rooms were clean, the location was great, there was ample parking in the lot, and it was just far enough from the downtown area to be walkable but still quiet at night. The best part by far is the staff. Each person we met treated us as if we were lifelong friends. You can trust Christopher to hook you up with the best eats in town and Constance will make sure your Acadia trip is unforgettable. This place is a must stay and we will definitely be returning!
A Must Stay! The Bar Harbor Manor is perfect in every way. The staff were great. Constance gave us many helpful tips, housekeeping was top notch Heather (rooms spotless), and Christopher helped us book our room when we decided to book last minute for a much needed quick getaway. You can tell thst both Constance and Christopher love there jobs and are so kind to every giest making you feek so special. The lobby had amazing brownies in the afternoon, hot coffee and tea available 24 hours, and a nicee set up for grab and go continental breakfast in am. We were fortunate to havr a beautiful balcony where we ate our breakfadt and enoyed watching the birds on feader. The Bar Harbor Manor is walking distance to shops, grocery store, pubs, and many restaurants. At low tide we were able to walk across sandbar. We enjoyed strolling around downtown and not having to worry about a parking spot. We left car at Manor and walked. In am we took a nice walk to Shore path which was nice so by the time we got to the opposite side of path by Bar Harbor inn the shops were open i recommend starting the path in the right and go left towards town. My only recommendation is asking for top floor 3 if you are a light sleeper as floors do creak a lot as we had some individuals above us who walked a lot above us until late. Definitely stay here as you will not be disappointed. Constance even told us where to buy some fresh lobstas to bring back to MA for our parents. We cant wait to go back, we just left today at 11 am and hoping to make it towards end of summer.
It’s close to town and it’s cute and cozy
Actually I have nothing to say about the place
Continental breakfast met our needs: blueberry muffins, yogurt, granola bars, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, orange juice.
I could hear noise cause by a lot of activity in an overhead room. Surprised by the amount of activity in a guest room. Walking around, perhaps moving things.
I chose this hotel because it was offering a point booster for my Chase points while not knowing anything about the Bar Harbor area. I found my choice to be right as soon as I arrived at the hotel. The location was perfect for visiting Acadia National Park. The hotel consists of several buildings. Mine was a superior King room with a sofa bed located on the third floor. The elevator operated well without much wait time. But the floors in the hallways and in my room creaked so much. That was the only thing on the negative side. The room was very clean and spacious. The bathroom is a good size and is even equipped with a ceiling heater for cold weather. The lobby was cozy and they even offered some brownies for the guests. They offered the "grab and go" breakfast each morning with coffee and milk. Christopher was extremely kind and helpful to teach us where to go in the area. We were really satisfied with Lobster dinners at a restaurant that was one of the two he recommended. I highly recommend Bar Harbor Manor to everyone who wants to visit Acadia National Park.
This is an awesome place! The rooms are full of classic character, but with modern amenities. They accommodated my VERY late booking and arrival seamlessly. Christopher helped me make reservations for the following night at another property since Bar Harbor Manor was full. Constance provided amazing hiking recommendations and great info about the area. I would stay here again for the charm, but also just because of the awesome staff!
Wonderful experience. Great location and easy to walk to restaurants etc. Front desk was so helpful with maps and recommendations. Shout out to Rachel, Christopher and Constance for being so accommodating. We were greeted with warm brownies. Yum!!
Absolutely loved our stay at Bar Habor Manor! We went just before the full tourist season kicked off at the end of April, at it was fantastic! The lobby was very cozy they had some fresh brownies there for when we checked in that were delicous. They also offer some quick snacks and breakfast foods in the morning. We stayed in a single queen room on the third floor. The room was more spacious than I expected given the very reasonable price for an off season stay. It is just a 10 minute walk to the village center which made it nice for pub crawling at the end of the day but still on a tucked away street allowing it to remain peaceful to sit on the balcony. There is also a Hannaford just around the corner and a sizeable minifridge and a microwave in the hotel room if you'd like to remain budget friendly for your trip. We did end up accidentally leaving an item back at the hotel when we left, we had originally just written off but I decided to try a week later asking them if they still had it and they did! Constance was extremely helpful getting our item shipped back in just a few days! Far beyond great service even after a stay. I would absoultely, probably only, book again at Bar Harbor Manor next time I am in the area.
Great location and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Very nice place to stay in Bar Harbor.
Christopher was very helpful. The room was spacious and very clean.
Everything was great, I only wish there was a dimmer for the lights. Very bright.
Super clean & welcoming. Beautiful, quant property. Insanely good value for Bar Harbor.
Spacious comfortable room, nice balcony, great location, lots of parking
Nothing
Room was very nice and clean. Chris was also extremely helpful and welcoming!
A little tight parking, but not a huge deal at all.
We found the staff - both folks we met - exceptional. They were warm, friendly and well-informed about their town. Actually, they were what made us rate this facility so highly.
הצוות היה מעולה! שדרגו אותנו לחדר יותר גדול בלי שביקשנו. הכל היה נקי ויפה!
היה טיפונת רעש. בקטנה
great coffee and bluberry muffins
Nice bed
Nothing
Albergo molto carino, centrale con personale assolutamente gentilissimo.
Niente
Clean, comfortable and Chrisopher was very helpful when we needed to check in a day early and check out a day early.
No breakfast. I guess seasonal. Would have been nice. Christopher was awesome!@
The entire experience was exceptional. The original host Christopher talked with me on the phone and insured our stay would be good and even relocated us to another inn that he felt would be more to our expectations. That is how we came to stay at the Bass Inn.The host and staff were very friendly. The room had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent.
The only thing we disliked was having to leave at the end of our stay.
Breakfast was generous
Staff was excellent. Chris at the front desk was well informed, pleasant, courteous, and competent at juggling questions and room arrangements. The lobby’s snacks and coffee helped start the day. Clean rooms. Clean property. Easy walk to the town center. Excellent lower rates, given the off season late fall. We were there in the fall, right before many shops close or cut back. An interesting, quiet time.
The TV offerings (cable channels, no apps) were modest.
Our room was a suite - with sitting area and wet bar.
The bathroom needed some wall repairs.
Clean and close enough to town to walk. Staff was friendly and interacted with guests.
