Provider-sourced guest reviews.
The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The free refreshments were very appreciative.
The staff they all were very helpful and very nice to talk with. Very accommodating would definitely recommend the inn to others. Thank you.
Staff was welcoming and friendly.
Outside back stairs/decking is SCARY loose…you need to renovate that before it falls with someone using it!!!
The staff was very helpful and supper sweet.
Fantastic, cute hotel near everything good in Bar Harbor. Staff exquisitely helpful.
Nothing
The staff was super friendly, always helpful, and just amazing. Our room was spacious, the air conditioner worked well, and overall it was very very comfortable!
Mentioning things that could have been better but would definitely stay there again. Had to wait until 7am to get hot coffee, Luke warm coffee from the night before was available earlier than that. Breakfast was pastries, muffins, oatmeal, etc. It would have been nice to have a protein.
the staff at the front desk was great and very helpful! Especially the lovely young lady from Austria!
A little noisey at front corner facing street, but got quiet later at night
Great service & location - large room in a quiet area. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Room was absolutely perfect. Probably one of the most comfortable beds I have had in a hotel. Love the complimentary drinks and snacks offered at any time throughout the day. Especially helpful after walking all day.
Not a huge negative but it is a little bit of a walk to the downtown area. A little closer would have been perfect but didn’t mind the walk at all.
Great location, very friendly & helpful staff.
No closet in the room
Camera super spaziosa
Mancava l’armadio, in una camera cosi grande l’ho trovato molto bizzarro.
The staff was helpful, kind and personable! Our room was clean, the breakfast was yummy and the location was very convenient!
Great staff Great location Large room
The room we were in was in the main road and extremely noisy Traffic started at 4am and went till midnight
We can't say enough about the Little Fig Hotel. Location was perfect! Easily walkable to main street locations and water. Room was very comfortable with a quaint cozy feel. There is no elevator in main house, which we didn't mind but something to consider if stairs are a concern. They have an annex house on property as well that are completely walk up. They are not as cute but very nice as well. Little Fig offers free drinks and snacks in lobby, which was a very nice touch after a long drive from the airport. Each room had a full supply of toilet trees including extra razor, shaving cream, toothpaste etc. The staff is minimal but available and very helpful. We would highly recommend. Loved our stay!
Perfect location. Wonderful staff.
Like many/perhaps most local inns, the price is excessive.
It was so cute and located on the end of the area we wanted to spend time in. Near restaurants and shops. Perfect little place.
No elevator, but the staff helped with our bags 😊
Really nice hotel I like it great experience
James and Sydney were so helpful and kind. The free snacks were a welcomed treat. Loved being at the Little Fig. Also were invited for live music at their sister property a few blocks away. On The Rocks were great.
The location to the landbridge, shops, and restaurants in Bar Harbor is super convenient. The water, juices, and quality granola bars available all day. The staff was very welcoming and helpful.
It's not that I didn't like it I just wasn't expecting to walk up to the third floor with our luggage bc there's no elevator.
Nice rooms.
Stairs getting into the hotel were difficult with luggage.
We are currently enjoying our stay, and one of the highlights is the exceptional service from James. He’s been friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful when I needed a foot stool and again helping return a personal item I left in the lobby. Great customer service makes all the difference, and James is a wonderful example of that. We stayed in room A120. The bedroom space was not easily cooled by the front room air conditioner, sleeping was a bit hot. I would recommend getting a window unit or some air circulation in order to move the cool air throughout the suite. Otherwise, our stay was quite comfortable. Sydney is an excellent host, even brought us propane to enjoy the evening picnic by the fire pit. Thanks!
Great location and appealing stay due to extra space with kitchen and living room. Comfy bed. Unfortunately the floors were very dirty, despite requesting mopping to cleaning staff without improvement. There isn’t an eating area/ table or chairs to eat meals prepared in the kitchen. There wasn’t any paper towels, dish towels, sponges making the kitchen less functional.
Sydney was so knowledgeable and pleasant. She made our stay perfect. Very comfy beds and great location right on the edge of downtown!
Everything
Beautiful
Absolutely fantastic stay! Room was spacious and comfortable, plenty of parking (which you can’t say about most places in Bar Harbor). Complimentary snacks and drinks in the lobby and the manager is so friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be staying here on future visits. :) Thank you!!
Great location to stay with parking plot and front desk staffs are very friendly. Easy to walk to the harbor of whale watching. About 10 minutes.
Perfect location walking distance to town and all the shops. All of the staff were super attentive and friendly.
Room was very clean and comfortable. The location was near enough to Main Street in Bar Harbor to walk to shops and restaurants. Staff was very accommodating and James easily resolved a problem with the room charge.
Third floor walk up was challenging. The room didn't have closet space. The bed was a bit softer than other hotels. The tub was slippery and could use some adhesive strips to make it safer.
The location was very nice, located a few blocks from the "downtown" area and close to the water. The front desk crew were great and courteous. Off street parking was very much appreciated as Bar Harbor can get very busy making parking difficult.
There was a bit of road noise and the room did smell a tad off with a musty odor. Probably the carpet in the room. But otherwise fairly clean.
Comfy bed and very clean room, friendly staff, great value for the location
Great location, complimentary breakfast foods and beverages, and snacks throughout the day. Walkable to anywhere in Bar Harbor.
Great location. Nice room- spacious! Very nice personable staff
The Little Fig was a great place to stay. It was only a short walk to the village green, restaurants, and shopping. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful.
Friendly staff and snack bars available any time. There's a refrigerator and microwave in the room.
You can hear street noise in rooms that face the street. And the mattresses are pretty soft It's a decent walk to the main part of town but definitely doable.
Great location. We could walk to everything! Room was super cute and quiet.
There were some evenings when the building next door had some weird food burnt smell coming from it. This was only a factor when we were walking to our room.
The King Suite with two king beds in separate room was a noisy as it was on the busy street side and traffic started at 4 a.m. with a noisy truck. The AC worked well, though it was noisy. The bedrooms were adjoining with the sitting area and bathroom in the second bedroom - so the couple or person in "front" bedroom had to enter the second bedroom for the bathroom. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean, although a bit worn. Don't look for hot fresh coffee until 8 a.m. (I inadvertantly got a cup of cold coffee which obviously had sat overnight). The buidling is adjacent to a busy gas station and across from a grocery store - not quite the heart of fun boutiques and restaurants, though there were two within a short walk. We also could walk to the sand spit that leads out to Bar Island during low tide. Nice sunset spot.
We booked this hotel at the last minute and were absolutely blown away by how wonderful it was! The location is fantastic—within walking distance of the downtown area and conveniently located next to a 24/7 Circle K. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and clean. The lobby featured a well-stocked coffee bar along with complimentary snacks, including gluten-free options, which was a thoughtful touch. What really made our stay exceptional was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. When we asked if they had a disposable toothbrush, they actually had one hand-delivered from their sister hotel up the street. The level of service truly exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!
We had a great experience at this "boutique" hotel! The room was large, bed comfortable, and customer service was exceptional. Shout out to Diana and Kina! We appreciated the fresh coffee and grab and go options that were available all day! The homemade brownies and the refreshing lemonade and limeade for after hikes was a plus. Location is great! Walking distance to town and the harbor.
Location was great and appreciated the access to water and snacks when needed.
would have liked a real breakfast.
Great value, great location. Wonderful staff, loved the snacks. Amazing place to stay.
Ok for a budget hotel, but certainly not for one that claims to be a small luxury boutique: no closet in the room, cheap materials such as plastic/paper cups and an ice bucket straight out of the 1970s Holiday Inn, breakfast coffee with coffeemate and costco bake goods. No thank you.
Location was great, bed was comfortable. Room very inconvenient. Sink and mirror outside of bathroom, only couple of hooks to hang clothing. Very few surfaces to place toiletries and personal items. AC wasn’t great. Place seems tired and worn out. Wasn’t exactly dirty but didn’t feel super clean. Guess I expected more from a “boutique” hotel
Nice place with clean, quiet rooms. Included snacks and drink, “blonde” brownies, and a nice breakfast ( pastries, yogurt, juice and coffee). Easy walk to all of downtown Bar Harbor and easy access to Acadia park loop.
Great location, and 2 bedroom suite was a great size for our family
Needed trash taken out & clean towels and could have been more attentive with that
Breakfast was good Location was convenient and quiet.
No elevator
There was a lot of space which made staying with a toddler and rest of family much easier.
The floors were dirty enough to stain our bare feet but other than that no complaints.
The evening host Diana was exceptionally helpful and pleasant. She made our stay more enjoyable. Amenities such as baked treats, bottled water, snacks and juice were a nice touch. Room was clean and very comfortable.
We hust loved this place and especially the staff. The ladies that work reception were just the best. They have hospitality in their blood.
Just wish I could live there forever
Good location. Comfortable rooms and friendly staff
Noisy air con and fridge in room. Nowhere to hang clothes.
The location and room 106.
We really liked the location. The bedroom was very spacious. We were able to park right outside our stairway. The office staff was pleasant.
The living room area had the room for a table and chairs, but there were none. Seeing that there was a kitchenette, they should provide a proper dining area. Also, the bedroom could use a couple of luggage stands. More hooks in the bathroom would be helpful.
The location and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
A little bit dirty
Great location, friendly staff, great grab and go breakfast! Great price for location. Easily walkable to everywhere!
Very close to town. And smoking was allowed in the side yard.
The good: --staff was VERY friendly and helpful overall --location is excellent if you don't mind a bit of a walk to the main downtown --grocery store very close --bathroom vanity had decent amount of storage What can be improved: --NO CLOSETS OR PLACE TO HANG CLOTHES! That may work if you're there for 2-3 nights but we were there a week and it was not great. Did give us an additional luggage rack but it would not be hard to install a few rods on the wall (there is space) or even use a portable clothes rack (they don't cost a lot). --The nightstand in our room didn't have a drawer which makes no sense (room 211, we saw some other rooms had nightstands with drawers) --No caddy in shower and minimal storage in stall; can get a cheap one for < $20! --Poor design choices like this are a problem at many hotels and I suspect it's because men are making the decisions. I wish women were making room design decisions! The design of our room was clearly made by someone who travels incredibly light or assumed only 1 person would be in the room.. For < $100 they can make the room way more functional especially for those staying more than a night or two.. --Minimal rods/hooks in bathroom. Hotels don't want us requesting new towels every day to save on laundry, but don't install enough hooks/rods in so that we can use to dry them. Makes no sense. --Fan in bathroom incredibly loud; can hear fan from room next door as well --Hot water runs out by late evening, so need to take showers early --We weren't told that all of the food in the lobby area (water/yogurt/etc) was included; we thought we had to pay for those because they took a card for "incidentals" when we checked in and those would be the only "incidentals" we saw. Luckily we figured it out by day 3. --Coffee not ready until 7:15-7:30 and there's no coffee maker in room. Acadia hikers are advised to get there super early to find parking. Coffee should be ready by 6:30 to accommodate early risers. We ended up having to buy at the Circle K next door a few days.
My husband and I loved our stay at the Little Fig Hotel! The hotel is so cute. The room was very spacious but cozy, and very clean. Kina, Gwen, and Sarah were so kind and helpful. If we are lucky enough to visit Bar Harbor again, we will definitely be staying here!
Great location, walking distance to shops waterfront and restaurants. The staff were all very friendly and helpful! The breakfast was great for grab and run on the go.
No closet in the room to hang coats
Large room. Comfortable bed. Very friendly staff. Off street parking.
Spacious room and very clean. Well located and it's as easy walk to the harbor and surrounding area. Also a great base to visit Acadia National Park. Highly recommend The Black Friar Inn just around the corner for dinner!
Staff were wonderful! Snacks, drinks and sweet treats for everyone including those who are GF and other allergy sensitivities
Hotel was great! Was there for my daughter's birthday and the hotel staff was amazing!!
Customer service was fantastic, no place to entertain friends in the rooms or in the lobby. Price per night was a bit high, good location for walking to every thing within the town. Karina was the bomb!
A beautiful hotel in the most beautiful little town. Holly was amazing from start to end and we can't rate this property highly enough.
One of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a hotel! My wife and I loved staying here so much. The hotel is a ten minute walk from pretty much anything you want to do in Bar Harbor. It’s also a ten minute drive from Acadia national park. The room was so nice! It was large, the bed was great, and it even had a couch to sit on. The staff was incredible, and they even cooked brownies every day for the guests to enjoy. This place is truly incredible, and well worth the money. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to enjoy Bar Harbor and or Acadia.
Walkable to the beach and main strip in Bar Harbor with a lot of restaurants and shops. Near by grocery stores and close driving to Acadia National Park. Cute decor and comfy room. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly and baked fresh brownies everyday. Bed was comfortable and they had great a/c. They also had breakfast items available (croissants, yogurt, muffins, juice, coffee, etc) in the morning and snacks available throughout the day.
Their pillows were a little too thick for me, but the bed was not too firm and not too soft, which was comfy for me.
We stayed at The Little Fig during our trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia and LOVED it. The front desk staff were very friendly and made fresh brownies every day. We stayed in a room with a king bed and it was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and it had great a/c. The location was walking distance from all the shops and restaurants on Main Street, and close to a few grocery stores and the beach. It was such a quaint place and the value was worth it!
Great location. Very friendly staff. Love the snacks and water bottles!!
Parking spaces can be limited but we eventually always found a spot
This hotel is super cute! Spotlessly clean, and well positioned. But the biggest asset is their staff. Everyone here is so welcoming, friendly and helpful - determined to make your experience memorable. Truly 5 stars! Another thing I will add is free parking, free all day coffee and water and homebaked treats definitely makes guests feel like it is more about the guest experience and less about the money which is unusual when travelling in the US.
Very cute and comfortable little inn. We appreciate the free snacks and drinks that we can use throughout the day.
Didn’t always have hot water, but warm enough.
We had an amazing suite with 2 rooms, each with a king size beds. There was a sitting room and in one and a big windiw with a window seat. Every day they had delicious fresh baked goodies at the front desk. It was about 6 blocks from the main crush of shops and people, so more peaceful. We loved it!
Great location Easy walk to stores and restaurants. The sitting area and bedroom were larger than expected. Bed was really comfortable. Clean modern bathroom with great hot shower. Functional kitchen. Breakfast was just yogurt, pastries, instant oats and coffee.
Nothing. Everything was great.
The location was perfectly located on the main strip of Bar Harbor and only about 15 minutes from Acadia National Park! Plenty of stores and restaurants within walking distance.
The property was in such a convenient location, the staff was so friendly, and the amenities were above and beyond expected. Would definitely return again.
Everything was so good there is not something I would change
Extremely friendly staff
Huge comfortable room, nice people and yummy brownies in the afternoon!
Good location
Pictures didn’t show how the rooms actually were. You think you’re getting one thing but it’s another. Had to ask for room service. Rooms were freezing and on the bottom floor. No privacy.
Coffee, water & juice bottles and cereal bars available throughout the day ! Coffee was really good. They had homemade brownies in the evening in the lobby
Simple hot breakfast like toast, bagels, oatmeal and boiled eggs would have enhanced the stay
so cute, friendly staff, super clean, great location
Clean, comfortable, friendly staff. Quiet.
N/A
The staff was friendly and wonderful to work with. The room we got was beautiful, canopy kind beds makes you feel like you are truly on vacation. I wish I could remember her name, but she checked us in an night and made blondies - they were amazing! Absolutely would stay here again and recommend anyone else as well. Its further down from the busy area which is nice and quiet.
We loved our stay. The staff is wonderful. The place is extremely clean and the beds are comfortable. We will be back again.
The front desk staff were exceptional. There were fresh brownies and other snacks available at check in. Water, juice, and coffee/tea were available all day.
The room was tiny. There wasn't a closet, just 4 hooks to hang clothes, and a very small dresser. There was no table or desk, and just a small, uncomfortable chair. The bathroom sink had very little space for toiletries. Breakfast was just pastries, instant oatmeal, yogurt, and juices/coffee/tea.
My room was fantastic. Sarah and Kina at the front desk were very friendly and helpful, and I felt right at home as soon as I walked into the place. I enjoyed my stay very much.
This is a common issue and very minor in the grand scheme of things, but for a person that sleeps on his side, the pillows were too bulky. As I said. A small matter.
It was walking distance to Town
Supper clean
The price of this hotel was amazing for the location, the room, and the overall experience. Staff was great as well. They were very helpful with recommendations for food and hiking Acadia.
Everything was great no complaints. Breakfast could have been a little better but for the price of the hotel it was great to even get breakfast at all.
Beautiful property
The staff, rooms, and location were all perfect.
What a delightful hotel! Kina and Sarah took such good care of us - especially Kina's yummy brownies! This hotel is cozy and a short walk into the town of Bar Harbor.
Our room was very clean and newly updated. It was a spacious room with all the amenities needed. Appreciated the complimentary snacks, coffee, and breakfast goodies. The location is great, walking to all the shops and restaurants downtown. Would definitely stay again when visiting Bar Harbor!
It was fantastic. The location was perfect, the people working at the hotel were so friendly and helpful, the room was bigger than we expected and very comfortable. There was parking onsite. They also had a lot of free amenities (coffee/tea, granola bars etc) 10/10 would absolutely stay again.
We loved everything! Our room was excellent, the staff was super friendly, and we were able to walk to a lot of different things.
These rooms are gorgeous, Gwendolyn has been so amazing! She has great recommendations, so make sure on your next Maine trip you ask for her
Really well located within Bar Harbor, very close to Acadia National Park. The staff were extremely friendly and kind, always asking about our days, and creating a very welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable and well looked after. Great value for money.
Don’t let the unassuming name fool you — Little Fig Hotel is one of those places you stumble upon and immediately feel like you’ve discovered a secret. Tucked right in the middle of town, it somehow manages to feel like a cozy retreat despite being steps from everything Bar Harbor has to offer. The aesthetics are absolutely adorable — think thoughtful, curated decor with a warm, whimsical charm that makes you want to linger. Our two king bedrooms were spotless, the bedding was soft and luxurious, and every little detail in the room felt intentional. It’s the kind of place that actually looks better in person than in photos. What really sets Little Fig apart is the hospitality. Kina was an absolute gem — genuinely welcoming, on top of keeping everything immaculate and organized, and just one of those people who makes you feel like a valued guest rather than just a booking. The lobby snacks available all day long were a lovely touch, but the homemade blondies and brownies? Those were legendary. We may have gone back for seconds… okay, thirds. Breakfast is continental, so if you’re expecting a hot spread, adjust your expectations — but honestly, with snacks that good available throughout the day, it was hard to complain. The only thing that kept this from being a perfect stay was the street noise — the sound of trucks and cars through the night was noticeable. That said, after long days hiking through Acadia, we were tired enough that it barely slowed us down. Would absolutely stay here again. If you’re heading to Bar Harbor and want somewhere charming, clean, and full of heart — book Little Fig before someone else snags it! 🌿
The customer service was incredible! The beds were soft. The rooms are clean. It’s quaint and adorable. You should go there! Super shout out to Gwendolyn for just being the best.
staff was adorable, the room clean and very comfy! hotel with a very good location in Bar Harbor :)
Room was nice, comfortable clean. Breakfast and snacks were nice yogurt, bars and some pastries. Staff was exceptional! There is no elevator, but staff will take your bags to your room.
Stairs
The experience was fantastic, the receptionists were incredibly nice and accommodating. 10/10 will be recommending
Location is perfect. We could walk to everything in Bar Harbor. Our room was beautiful and the staff A+.
