Das Personal dort ist supernett und sehr hilfreich, man kann die Reinigungszeiten vereinbaren, das gibt es nicht oft. Wir hatten das kleinere Appartment Lavender gebucht weil nur dort ein Kingsizebett steht und nicht nur ein Queensize. Das Appartment ist ein Häuschen auf der Poolebene und schon etwas älter. Man kann direkt dort zur MainRoad rausgehen. Das Bett war bequem und wir hatten eine Dusche, keine Badewanne was wir sehr angenehm fanden. Wir haben in der Küche nicht gekocht, es gibt so viel Restaurants im Umkreis, macht keinen Sinn. Wir hatten kein Frühstück weil wir morgens nur Obst wollten und haben uns selbst versorgt. Für Gäste, die sich z.b. einen Salat zubereiten wollen, stellt die Auberge Olivenöl und Essig, sowie Salz u. Pfeffer zur Verfügung.. Die Anlage ist sehr gut gesichert und man hat viele Schlüssel für die einzelnen Türen. Da aber alle farblich gekennzeichnet sind und die Farbe auch auf den Türen angegeben ist, kann man sich gut zurechtfinden. Auch der Parkplatz ist sicher hinter einem elektrischen Tor mit Fernbedienung. Insgesamt würden wir sagen, dass die beiden größeren oben liegenden Appartments um einiges schöner sind als das untere kleine, aber dieses hat eben den alleinigen Vorteil eines großen Doppelbettes.

Da das Lavender auf Strassenniveau liegt, ist der Verkehrslärm schon enorm und geht relativ früh los. Ohrstöpsel sind von Vorteil. Der kleine Freisitz hat uns etwas enttäuscht, er liegt fast an der Strasse und man schaut auf eine Mauer. Und er sieht definitiv nicht so aus wie die weissen Sesselchen, die man auf booking.com sieht. Es ist einfach ein Holzesstisch mit Holzstühlen. Man kann sich natürlich auch oben in die Sessel setzen, aber dann müsste man alles zum Verzehr über die Treppe hochbringen. Den Pool fanden wir nicht so richtig einladend, es war die ganze Zeit (10 Tage) ein Schlauch im Wasser. Er ist auch viel kleiner als es auf den Bildern aussieht, d.h. es reicht zum Abkühlen, aber zum Schwimmen wäre er zu klein.

Great little spot, close to town. Easy to walk. Very comfortable space. We didnt expect a full apartment, so its much more spacious than a hotel room.

There was a bit of road noise, but given location, its to be expected. really cant fault the place. Great value for money.

Never had breakfast. Location was great and accommodation was lovely with everything that you would need.

The basin in the bathroom is still set as if there is no water. It is impossible to wash your face or brush your teeth with such limited flow.

A beautiful, traditional property. Very comfortable and well equipped, every detail had been thought of. Also very central location. Only had one night there but wished we could have stayed longer.

Comfortable, spacious with all you need. Conveniently located for walking to all the Franschhoek Literary Festival venues and events. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I appreciated the safe off-street parking

When I booked, I hadn't realised that the property was next to a restaurant, so the music at night was quite loud, but fortunately it didn't go on too late. I also didn't know how the 3 suites were configured. I was in the lower suite, separate from the main house and was closest to the main road and traffic noise. If I booked again, I would probably prefer to stay in one of the main house suites.

The apartments are in a great location. Just a 5 min walk from the centre. Tania the house manager is just amazing, so helpful, friendly & professional. The other staff were great too. The apartments are so clean & well maintained. We had breakfast which was fresh & plentiful. Good secure parking. We didn't use the car the 4 nights we stayed. We didn't want to leave!!!

Tania the manager was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast choices were very good. The location was ideal and we had the bonus of a pool and a terrace to sit out on. The accommodation was luxurious and one of the best we have ever stayed in.

The property was very secure, extremely well appointed , spacious and luxurious. The location was very convenient allowing us to walk to local restaurants and also the nearby wine trams. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating to our every needs.

The property was incredibly spacious and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Tania was a fantastic host—super friendly and always available to help with anything we needed. Overall, it was a great place to unwind and enjoy. Just bring along some mosquito repellent to stay extra comfortable - we killed 44 upon arrival! Would definitely recommend it for a relaxing getaway!

A bush of about 10 of colour-coded keys plus remote handed to me to move around on site, having to set the alarm for our unit, trellidors in front of doors and windows, stickers (often skew) on all light switches and even on taps, no staff on site, umbrellas on patio not even opened and no charming atmosphere as on website photos, TV had only limited DSTV channels and no streaming options. No view from windows. Not the romantic hideaway I was looking for. Not my expectation of a 4-star facility.

We received a lovely and friendly welcome, the accommodation far exceeded our expectations, the room , not only had a comfortable bedroom the lounge and dining area were an added bonus. I would say , you couldn't wish for a better location when visiting Franschhoek.

En fantastisk jätte stor fransk inspirerad lägenhet mitt i Franschhoek centrum. Jättefint utrostad. Poolen är ganska liten och kolla med hotellet i förhand och gör avtal med hänsyn till avhämtningen av nyckel etc.

Beautifully designed interior. Location is excellent: just off the top of the main street and a 5 minute walk to the Franschhoek Tram Terminal. Tania was very helpful with advice re which wineries to visit. Lovely garden with pool. Excellent breakfast served inside or out as preferred.

Lovely setting- very close to Wine Tram station and some great restaurants. Felt very safe with good security.

Beautiful accommodation, well situated in Franschoek with easy access to town and wine tram. We had a wonderful breakfast and Tania (the Manager) is an absolute delight. Very friendly and very helpful.

Everything was perfect. I only have one small thing that bothered me, and that is the opening into the shower between the glass and towel rail was a bit of a tight squeeze.

Tania and her staff were fantastic and the breakfast was always fresh. Great location and comfy bed plus fridge and cooker were useful to have if you fancied a night in.

Couple of things need changing, it needs a new TV with Netflix etc… Doors in and out of the room and property could have a better system than just keys I felt like a jailer carrying all those keys..

Very welcoming host and staff. The apartment was spotless and spacious. Excellent quality breakfast that set us up for the day. All amenities within walking distance.

I loved the location, close to Franschoek terminal to join the tram excursions and the accommodation was an absolute hidden gem. Staff are friendly and absolutely enjoyed our stay! Unit is very spacious and value for money!

Taxi rank closeby is bit noisy, but simply closed our windows shutters a bit later.

It's a great place to stay - very stylish and with a very friendly staff. The apartment is spacious, offering a bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen as well as a dining and living room. The service of the housekeepers is just excellent. The central location puts almost everything in Franschhoek in walking distance - it comes, however at the expense of traffic noise to the proximity of Main Street.

Lovely, big guesthouse unit with ideal location for exploring the area on foot. Friendly staff served delicious breakfast served on time. Electric blankets for the cold nights and Aircon for the quick change of weather.

Situated on the main road, the traffic noise especially during traffic hour is disruptive. Limited breakfast options.

All the keys to operate the security gates. Surely these could be upgraded to key cards. From our unit to the car park we had to use at least 6 keys each way . In the winter please put the heating on prior to the guests arrival.

The facilities were excellent and a lot of thought had been given to the amenities provided. I particularly liked the dark coloured face cloths for removing makeup. The kitchen was well equipped and the accommodation was very spacious.

Clara and all the staff at Auberge were wonderful and full of smiles Clara was very responsive to messages, helpful in organising transfers, suggestions for dinner and even a in-room massage and mani! Our room was incredible and its location perfect! We walked everywhere. Would highly recommend.

Very spacious and comfortable! Great for self catering option where you have an entire suite with all you need. Great linen and bed.

Bedroom off main road is very noisy with traffic especially with the motorbikes on a Sunday morning but location is central. Person on duty was not trained well and unable to assist with questions or honesty bar was not fully stocked with listed items etc so I did my own thing. On booking.com it said included: The ingredients for a continental breakfast are included in the rates and placed in each unit on arrival. No continental breakfast ingredients were placed in the unit on arrival or later even though it stated it was meant to be included in the rate.

Perfect location for walking to wine tram stop! Lovely, friendly staff. Huge room with everything we could want. A special mention to Carla, she was brilliant. She even let us park our car in the secure car park and gave us our keys so that we didn’t have to rush back from our wine tour!

Would be handy to have a mirror with access to a socket for blow drying hair.

I loved the entire property. I enjoyed the amenities, it was a properly stocked kitchen, even during load-shedding everything worked! loved it. The staff were awesome, they were friendly engaged with me and were super helpful. I also loved the independence they give.

Lovely , spacious apartment, with great self-catering facilities. Load shedding electrical back-up is a fantastic touch, not many other guesthouse facilities are similarly equipped.

Bathroom a bit small for such a spacious apartment. We are not crazy about shower/bath combos. Check-in is a bit tedious.

Perfect location for wine days! you only walk a few minutes to the city centre and also only a few minutes to the wine tram terminal. the size of the apartment was also good. The stuff was very flexibel and friendly.

From our point of view the apartment did not totally match the condition as suggested by the pictures, it was older for example and not so cozy. In addition to that, it is located at the Main Street and the noise was pretty loud (also at night sometimes).
