Amazing location, room condition and staff. Very helpful. Great breakfast. Great air conditioning and balcony. My only issue was the scent from the cleaning products.

We had a corner room with a balcony on both sides overlooking the busy restaurant and shopping area below. The room was larger than we expected. The only negative was that there was a step up into the bathroom, which we had to keep reminding ourselves of, especially at night.

Good breakfast, clean rooms and a modern build with a friendly staff. Overall great stay. Only wish a full single bed was provided and not two twins side by side.

Loved this property. In the middle of the action! staff was soooo friendly and gave great local recommendations, especially Areti! One thing was no parking, as this is in a pedestrian area, but we parked at a structure a couple minute walk away.

Really nice room and clean. Great location if you want to be in the middle of Old Town Chaina. Be aware that parking is EXTREMELY difficult in this area even on weeknights.

First thing to know is that a cab does not pull up to the hotel as the area is restricted to vehicles. Mind you it’s not a far walk, but we came in by bus from Heraklion and it took us a bit to find the hotel and we had a few suitcases to lug with us. Thankfully the wheels did not fall off😂. Our room was small so we requested an upgrade and they were very accommodating. We had a balcony and really enjoyed sipping some wine and absorbing the energy. Location is prime, walking distance to everything. There is a small elevator there which is a bonus. Overall a nice enjoyable experience

Very friendly, accommodating and kind staff, Maria and Areli are the best you can find. They went so out of their way to help us. Hotel is located in a pedestrian old town of Chania so there is no parking closed by. It’s a problem for the old town area.

The place was beautiful and spacious. The location was great, central to everything.

While I only got to spend one night at the property, it was definitely a property I considered staying at for longer. The staff was very friendly both at check-in and check out. I did initially have a bit of trouble finding the location as it’s right in the middle of, an area with restaurants and shopping and easy to miss. That being said, there being an elevator and also it was very quiet for being in a busy neighborhood spot. I would definitely consider staying here in the future if I should return to the area.

Hands down recommend staying here. Walking distance EVERYWHERE. Brealfast was delicious. Rooms are spacious. Loved it

In summary, staying at this hotel was amazing and I highly recommend it. We arrived early in the morning so our room was not ready. The staff helped us by letting us leave our luggage while we explored Old Town and waited for the room to become available. Check-in was very quick and easy. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was also really good and fresh. The location of the place is great as it is in Old Town, and getting out of Old Town is easy and quick. Even though there were a few restaurants right next to the hotel that would stay open late, I don’t think the noise was ever a bother and I am a light sleeper (I think that all the walking would tire me out and help me sleep better haha). But once the windows were shut, the noise was muted a good amount. Beware that elevators tend to be small. The only thing that was tricky was finding the place. We were only lost for like 5 minutes, so not a big deal. I think there might be a problem with the linked address because when I clicked on it and was directed by google maps to the address it wasn’t the right location, I believe it was the old location of the hotel. But that was easy to solve by just searching the hotel’s current address on google. I think what also contributed to that is that there are many nooks and crannies in Old Town. I would just suggest correcting the address on this site if that hasn’t been done yet. Thank you for the amazing stay!

We stayed one night with a very late check-in. Easy access from the airport with a taxi prearranged by the hotel. The room was fine. Breakfast was very good.

We had a beautiful suite with great views over the old town across to the harbour and sea beyond. Excellent breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff.

This was a lovely quiet room with a great view in an excellent location. They stowed our bags for a long time while we waited for a late flight too! All around well worth it.

Hotel was fine, clean, simple and friendly check in. However no special service for Gold member status. Bottle of wine stated on website not offered and no room upgrade.

We quite enjoyed our stay here. The staff were pleasant and helpful. However, we felt that our twin bed room was not as attractive as the doubles. It also had a curious high step into the bathroom. It was good to have a coffee machine but it seems pointless and mean to charge for capsules after the first two. The breakfast was no more than adequate in quality.

Perfect location, right in the middle of Old town Chania with Lots of restaurants near by and the bus station is only 9min walking. Staff was really helpful. Breakfast was good, I wish they had a few more veggie options but it’s good overall. We paid for a superior room but got a standard ro instead when I told the front office person she showed me the “superior room” to see if we wanted to change rooms but it looked exactly like the one we had. So my opinion, don’t pay extra for the superior room. Overall a great stay I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Chania.

The hotel is right in the old section of Chania- walk out the door and you're on a cobblestone street within steps of cafes, restaurants and shops.

Likes: Lovely and clean room; Powerful shower; toiletries provided each day; comfy bed; staff were very friendly and helpful; good variety of choice at breakfast; 2 bottles of water provided. Dislikes: no comfortable chair; no tea making facilities; WiFi kept shutting off; no restaurant

The rooms were super clean. The staff was great and the location was perfect.

We were given a suite on the top (5th) floor looking out on Chania harbour, probably the best rooms in the hotel. The rooms were spotless and toiletries replenished every day.

Good property in a great location. Plentiful breakfast (which was included for my booking) and very helpful staff. Having stayed at another of Elia's other properties in Chania earlier in the year, I would say I prefer the company's apartment-style suites (the Daliani is the one I was in) to the Betolo, but that's only because I like the illusion of seemingly coming home to an apartment rather than the reality of coming back to a hotel room at the end of a day of sightseeing. The staff are super helpful at the front desk. Every time I had a question, they either had or would find an answer. This was one advantage of staying at the main hotel property.

The location was great and the breakfast was excellent. Being right in the town centre, it could get a little bit noisy in the early hours of the morning.

Very helpful staff, excellent location and big comfortable room with nice and clean bathroom. Only thing missing was a stand for the suitcase.

It was great that they have 24 hour service, I flight got in late and someone was there to get us checked in. Room was clean and well kept.

It was a lovely place inside the old city, a lot of shops and restaurant around and very near to Venetian harbour the staff are very accommodating the b-fast is good too

We stayed here for 3 nights. The first 2 nights was in a double room and the last night we had to change rooms to a twin as we decided to extend our stay by 1 night but the double rooms were full . Both rooms are very nice , the double was bigger. Very modern feel and nice layout. The shower in our double room was cool, had music, a steamer, and massage jets. The twin room had a better view of city and the mountains. Very nice breakfast. If you want to stay in the center of everything with lots of shops and restaurants then this place is great. The only negative I would say is that if you are driving , you cannot access the hotel directly to drop off bags etc. there is a parking lot a few blocks away but has limited parking and is free from 9pm-9am, and about 8-10 minutes walk there is a very large parking lot that is always free.

We stayed 6 nights at this hotel. It is 10/10 for location and the size of the room. Stuff were helpful. Good breakfast!

Have just spent two wonderful weeks at Hotel Betolo. The location is fantastic, situated next to Cathedral and surrounded by restaurants, bars and charming shopping streets in the old town. Just a five minute walk to waterfront and old Venetian harbour. Very spacious bedroom, great views and high standard of cleanliness. Excellent staff, patient, friendly and very helpful. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel, it is a little gem.

Everyone was great and spoke good English. The rooms are small but modern and the breakfast was good. Great location - very close to the old.

Our stay at Elia Betolo Hotel was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. As we arrived early they let us store our bags and gave us recommendations for lunch spots close by. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. There was a complimentary bottle of water each in the fridge, fluffy robes and slippers and the daily maid services gave us fresh towels each day. The WiFi was fairly reliable. Breakfast was awesome, lots of variety and small changes each day to keep it interesting. The location was central to everything, and we found a park close by (you can't drive right in to Old Town). Would definitely stay here again.

- I wish we're given better instructions on hotel location. All our reservation papers said was: "Bertolo, old town". Try to find that while walking through narrow streets, like a labyrinth, carrying heavy bags! - Hotel reception is very basic - Room is great - Safe wasn't working, staff came to the room very quickly to fix it - Beautifully decorated - Right in the city center - Breakfast was very good, lots of variety - Nice shower - Comfortable bed - Shutters make the room nice and dark for a good sleep - Private, we could not hear noises from other rooms - Since we didn't know where the hotel was, it was very challenging to drive through heavy traffic and find somewhere to park. We ended up picking a parking lot that ended up costing us $25 the next morning! Better directions would have been very helpful.

Shower water temperature fluctuated a bit, but everything else was great. Breakfast was pretty good, and the room was clean and spacious, and we loved the great balcony.

This cute little hotel is a bit difficult to get to because the taxi will have to drop you off 2 minutes away (unless the driver doesn't know what he's doing!). I recommend downloading offline maps for this reason. The hotel, however, is perfect! It's clean and looks like it's been recently renovated. The staff is lovely and the location is perfect! The breakfast is delicious!. I highly recommend this place!!

Loved this hotel. The location was excellent. In the heart of all the shopping, restaurants and cafés. Short walk to the limani. We drove in but had to leave the car about a block away because the hotel was located in the pedestrian walks. The front desk hostess was very friendly and helpful. All staff was wonderful. The breakfast included was perfect (from fresh yogurt, fruits, frappés, croissants, eggs, etc.). We were 3 people, therefore we had the suite with a small balcony with a view of the limani in the distance, the shops and a beautiful church. Our bathroom was spectacular with a high tech shower which included a radio, steam jets, rain shower, and more. Spent 3 wonderful days there. Highly recommend this quaint boutique hotel.

Like most of old Chania you need to arrive before 11am for ease of getting your luggage to your hotel

Great location. Room was a bit small compared to others we saw for about the same price. Didn't get a chance to eat breakfast, but they did thoughtfully prepare a To-Go box that we requested the night before. Room was "good" - but we paid similar in Heraklion and got WAY more. European style building, so be ready for a 2 person elevator with no bags. They offer help, so it's no big deal. Cool "stand alone" stall shower with electronics.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The location is awesome, right in the heart of it all. We would definitely stay here again! Staff were friendly and the breakfast was good too!

Location was perfect, right in the centre of the buzz. The tricky part of this stay is finding a free overnight parking lot. I suggest Travellers who are driving to unload the luggages at The Central market which is just 5mins walk to the hotel. You can then check with the hotel the next street (ask for the street name) with free parking spaces but it can get busy during peak hour. Overall stay was great, room was spacious. Walkable distance to many restaurants.

Comfortable modernized meticulous hotel in the midst of old town a short walk to the beautiful Venetian waterfront. Staff caring, friendly and warm. Delicious breakfast with great variety. Lovely sitting room to share conversation or wine. Delightful. Look forward to return visit!

The staff was so nice and generous. The location is perfect it is in walking distance to everything. It was just a perfect stay on our vacation. I did not want to leave. Oh and the breakfast was amazing as well.

My husband said he was able to relax and enjoy himself after being out to see for awhile. He said this was one of the best hotels in awhile that he had stayed in.

I loved my stay at the Elia. Friendly staff and a great location. All the sites in Chania that are near the Harbor are very close. The Elia has a sister hotel on the water that you can enjoy as well. It was a beautiful spot to swim in the ocean where the water was warm and the staff there was also super friendly. It's a great additional amenity.

I enjoyed my stay at the Elia Betolo Hotel. The room was spacious; the bed was comfortable and clean; and the room had a large balcony - ideal for drying beach towels. If you're looking for a central hotel away from the port area this is a good option. Hotel staff were civil and helpful.

I only stayed overnight, but it was a great experience. The room was extremely clean and neat. The terrace of the room has a great view of the city. It was nice sitting outside at night, people watching. When ibtold the front desk about early departure from hotel the next morning, the hotel arranged taxi ride for me. They also packed breakfast for me beacuse i had to leave before the set breakfast time. In overall, the front desk was extremely friendly and resourceful in providing brief introduction of the city. I recommend this hotel for others.

The hotel is in a central location downtown Chania with a five minute walk to the lighthouse. Customer service is great and can help you with any questions. Breakfast was wonderful and you could enjoy it on the patio. I would definitely recommend this hotel for other people vacationing in Chania.

Fantastic stay at Elia Betolo over the Easter weekend. I'd highly recommend this property, which offers an almost unbelivable level of luxury for a very low price.

The hotel is very central, the room was very clean and quite big! The shower was simply amazing with the option of sauna and music also! Fun! The staff is very friendly and gave us lots of information about were to go and updating us on the weather also. We had a great time and we will definitely recomand it!

The hotel was not easy to find because there are so many walking streets in Hania. Once we did find the location we were thrilled with how easy it was to walk to everything. The room was quite modern and quiet and the breakfast buffet was good. The staff could have been a bit more friendly but when we needed some help they were very helpful.
