Casa do Eido is such a special and lovingly created place where you immediately feel at ease. Ana welcomed me so warmly, and from the very first moment I felt completely at home. You can feel how much love and attention to detail has gone into creating this beautiful place. The house, the garden and the pool area are absolutely charming and peaceful. Everything feels personal, authentic and very special. It is the perfect place to slow down, relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of northern Portugal. Ana is a wonderful host, incredibly warm, attentive and helpful. I truly enjoyed my stay and would come back anytime. Casa do Eido is one of those places you remember long after you leave

A beautiful location surrounded by nature. The property is exceptionally beautiful, with plenty of quiet spots for reading and relaxing. Everything is done with care—delicious breakfast and the best fried eggs.

The national park is very large, so you'll need a car. Lunch and dinner are not served. There are a limited number of restaurants in the area.

Un posto concepito per fare davvero relax, curato nei dettagli. Bellissimo il recupero della casa antica. La signora Ana è stata gentilissima, super accogliente, e ci ha forniti degli ottimi consigli per goderci il territorio. La colazione era ricca e deliziosa.

Frühstück überragend, regional, Bioprodukte, alles super frisch und wunderbar angerichtet. Das Gesamtkonzept ist perfekt umgesetzt. Hier versteht man was von Einrichtung und Dekoration. Alles liebvoll arangiert. Ana und das Personal sehl liebnswürdig, gehen auf jeden Wunsch der Gäste ein. Jeder Tag in dieser Unterkunft ist eine Bereicherung.

Die liebevollen Details im Haus und auf dem gesamten Areal. Mit großer Aufmerksamkeit sorgen Ana und Ihr Team dafür, dass Casa do Eido ein ganz besonderer Ort ist, um sich wohlzufühlen und zu entspannen. Am Pool, im Garten und überall im Haus gibt es schöne Plätze, um sich zurückzuziehen, zu lesen. Hochwertige Bildbände und Magazine laden dazu ein, sich von Kunst und Design zu inspirieren zu lassen. Das Frühstück ist großartig! Frisch gebackenes Brot, täglich wird ein ofenwarmer Kuchen angeboten, dazu aromatisches Obst, Tomaten, Käse, Joghurt (auch vegan), allerlei Nüsse und selbsgemachtes Granola erfreuten uns jeden Morgen aufs Neue. Alles ist liebevoll und appetitlich arrangiert. Ana und ihr Team sind ausgesprochen aufmerksam und gastfreundlich. Danke für die schöne Zeit!

A host é Ana foi excecional, muito simpática e sempre disponível! O pequeno almoço muito completo. O espaço era limpo e acolhedor.

Tolle ruhige Unterkunft, ideal zum entspannen und als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge. Das Anwesen ist detailverliebt und mit Sinn für Design eingerichtet, ein schöner Mix aus modern und alt. Die Zimmer waren groß und mit allem nötigen ausgestattet. Ana war eine wunderbare Gastgeberin und hatte immer Tips für uns! Da viele Pärchen da waren, waren wir erst unsicher ob unsere Kinder laut im Pool spielen können. Aber es hat wirklich niemanden gestört und so haben wir uns alle sehr wohlgefühlt. Es waren auch selten mehrere Gäste gleichzeitig da, weil doch jeder mal Ausflüge in der schönen Umgebung macht. Das Frühstück war wirklich super! Auch an Veganer wird hier gedacht, es gab selbstgemachten veganen Kuchen und Käse. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Kein richtiger Kritikpunkt, aber schade, dass man in der Unterkunft nicht auch noch Abendessen kann. Es gibt Restaurants in der Umgebung, aber man muss eben ein paar Minuten mit dem Auto hinfahren. Wenn wir darauf mal keine Lust hatten, haben wir uns Tomaten, Oliven und Brot gekauft und einfach Brotzeit gemacht. Ana hat uns dafür gerne Besteck und Teller bereitgestellt.

Gostámos da Ana, da sua funcionária, do pequeno almoço, bolos muitos bons, óptima fruta, café de qualidade, tudo óptimo. Boa limpeza, boa internet, resumindo é uma casa com uma boa atmosfera.

Infelizmente não gostei de algumas coisas. Na piscina existem apenas quatro espreguiçadeiras para uma lotação máxima que deverá rondar 16, 20 pessoas, é muito curto. Não gostei de um ou outro detalhe de manutenção sendo o mais grave o tampo da sanita do wc do rés-do-chão do duplex onde ficamos que estava completamente deteriorado. Depois trata-se de uma casa cheia de charme mas com as limitações de uma casa antiga, isolamento acústico não existe mas... recebe crianças muito novas...não esperava, julgo que os proprietários terão que reavaliar esta questão, receber crianças com uma estrutura com portas antigas, vidros simples, folgas enormes, sem isolamento acústico, é igual submeter os outros hospedes (que pagam bom dinheiro para descansar uns dias), a uma barulheira infernal às 08:00h da manhã caso os pais sejam tão permissivos, e sem noção dos limites como os que nós tivemos o azar de apanhar. O facto de não oferecer serviço de refeições (para além do pequeno almoço) também é um pouco limitador, uma vez que nos obriga a sair duas vezes por dia o que, para quem procura descanso, não é o ideal, seria interessante ter serviço de jantar disponível.

Le séjour était parfait, avec un tres bon accueil, de très bons services dans un cadre magnifique. Le petit déjeuner était extra, fait maison, à la demande. Bravo pour ce gîte exceptionnel que nous recommandons à tous les voyageurs en recherche de confort, de repos dans un cadre très propres.

The parking is very tight, 3 cars at most in the inside parking plus one outside. And you need to be a skilled driver to park inside, its quite an exercise. [do note we have a 7 seater SUV]

Take into consideration that closest restaurant and mini market are at least 11 minutes drive.

The house is gorgeous, a real heaven, a peaceful gateway, beautiful garden, full of corners. A beautifull place to rest and recharge batteries. Ana was very attentive and a big thank you for her care.

We loved everything but we (as a family) agreed that the breakfast could have been better. With small improvements it would be a pleasure to have breakfast at Casa do Eido, at the moment, it misses few things on the buffet to be really filling and the inside sitting area is a bit tight.

Le cadre très agréable. L’hôte est très conviviale et donne l’impression que vous etes reçu chez des ami.e.s. Le petit déjeuner est simple, mais très qualitatif. Un véritable régale ! Le cake du petit déjeuner et laissé à la salle à manger à discrétion très chouette. Les recommandations de l’hôte sont appréciables. Notamment les restaurants.

Il serait bien qu’une bouilloire soit accessible en chambre ou dans la salle à manger pour faire des theés. En chambre, il y a une machine à cafe, mais le thé est oublié. Aussi, comme il n’y a pas de restaurants ou de possibilités de manger le midi ou le soir, un espace avec micro-ondes et mis à disposition de couverts pourrait être un plus (en tout cas pour nous qui avions un bébé. Difficile le soir de sortir manger.) Ce ne sont que des petits détails qui n’enlèvent en rien ce lieu apaisant.

Very friendly host who warmly welcomed us in their home. Delicious breakfast with variety of home made products. Beautifully located in the Gerês national Park.

The shower is in a bathtub which was rocking all the time. Not a lot of dining options around.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut, alles selbst gemacht, gesund und sehr reichhaltig. Das Haus mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet mit vielen außergewöhnlichen Rückzugsorten, viele Bücher und Zeitschriften vor allem künstlerischer Ausrichtung. Sehr empfehlenswert.

This property is very beautiful, tastefully furnished, in a quiet peaceful area but close to town (10 min drive) The room was spacious and super comfortable. Ana is a fantastic host, she gave us a lot of useful info about the activities and the area in general. Breakfast was fabulous and Ana’s cakes are absolutely delicious. It’s dog friendly property and we even found a beautiful bed and bowls for our pup. We will definitely come here again.

Ana is such a great host. Breakfasts are amazing, hike suggestions are on-point, the house is stunning. What a spot! Will definately be back - so much more to discover in Geres!

Our host was extremely helpful and kind, she recommended a wonderful restaurant for dinner nearby in a former monastery and in the morning provided a delicious breakfast. The house and garden are beautifully created.

The parking was a bit tight as the door to the house was in a narrow road.

Alles war wunderbar. Anna hat hier ein kleines Stück Paradies geschaffen, umgeben von Bergen, Lavendel und Hortensien. Man spürt sofort, wie durchdacht alles ist – jedes Detail trägt zu absoluter Entspannung und purem Lebensgenuss bei. In der Umgebung kann man herrlich wandern, ausgezeichnet essen und den Nationalpark erkunden. Am Abend lädt die wunderschöne Oase am Pool dazu ein, die Seele baumeln zu lassen und vollkommen abzuschalten. Das Frühstück ist grandios und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Vielen Dank für alles, Anna,wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder! ❣️

Das Haus ist in einem tollen Zustand mit unheimlich vielen Möglichkeiten zu ausruhen. Total ruhig und sehr ansprechend. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls sehr gut und geprägt von selbst hergestellten Produkten.

Alles an der Unterkunft ist perfekt, die Zimmer sind wunderschön und außerordentlich sauber. Die Außenanlagen sind ebenfalls sehr schon gestaltet und es gibt viele Rückzugsmöglichkeiten. Ausserdem ist die Eigentümerin sehr hilfsbereit!

Heel mooie locatie, met veel hoekjes en plekjes om te zitten en ontspannen. Ana is heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk, over wandelroutes in de omgeving, over welke restaurants te bezoeken. Heel erg fijne plek.

A D. Ana recebeu-nos com imensa simpatia e prontidão. O alojamento é muito bonito e os pequenos almoços são maravilhosos, com grande parte dos produtos feitos pela equipa do alojamento.

Solo echamos en falta que hubiese servicio por la noche para tomar algo. Hay otro establecimiento cerca con el mismo nombre y si lo pones en el GPS del coche te lleva al otro, pero esta relativamente cerca.

Unterkunft liegt sehr abgelegen, zu den nächsten Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind es mind. 15 Minuten Autofahrt; ein Restaurant fußläufig in der Nähe wäre schön gewesen

Het is een prachtige locatie waar overal leuke hoekjes zijn gecreëerd om te chillen. Mooie tuin en beplanting, mooi interieur. Heel lekker en vers ontbijt.

Een paar dingetjes die wat minder waren was wat geluidsoverlast van blaffende honden of mensen die aan het werk waren. De omgeving voelt niet heel rustig. Het parkeren was soms een uitdaging.

Ana, la anfitriona ha sido encantadora. Todos los espacios muy cuidados y con mucho gusto. El desayuno espectacular. El jardín precioso y con muchos rincones para disfrutar.

Adorámos a estadia! A Dona Ana é uma pessoa muito simpática e acessível! O alojamento era muito calmo e confortável como precisávamos. O pequeno almoço tinha muita variedade e era muito saboroso. Se existir oportunidade voltaremos!

La ubicación y el entorno en el que se encuentra el alojamiento son maravillosos. Descansamos genial, nada de ruido. La persona responsable fue encantadora en todo momento. La habitación contaba con todo lo necesario, limpieza espectacular. Y el desayuno, con todo casero, una auténtica delicia. No llegamos a usar la piscina, pero estaba también impecable. Si volvemos a la zona, repetiremos seguro.

È la seconda volta che alloggio a Casa do Eido e posso confermare che è stato tutto fantastico, dalla colazione magnifica alle stanze molto curate agli spazi comuni meravigliosi, tutto perfetto! Ci tornerò sicuramente in futuro!

Great attention to detail, very good taste in terms of architecture and design, very clean and comfortable. The host was absolutely lovely and caring - she provided us with an extensive list of activities in the region and had a great attention to details. Last but not least, the breakfast was fabulous, with homemade jams and patés.

Le lit n’était pas assez confortable compte tenu du prix de la chambre, mais cela ne nous a pas empêché d’apprécier grandement notre séjour.

Die schönen kleinen Entspannungsplätze überall verteilt in der Anlage. Ein netter Pool zum Abkühlen und ein unglaublich tolles Frühstück mit hausgemachtem Brot, leckeren Käsesorten, zahlreichen Früchten usw. Wir haben selten so ein tolles Frühstück erlebt.

Es würde sich anbieten in der Anlage abends Kleinigkeiten anzubieten wie Tapas & Wein. Die Restaurants sind leider nur per Auto erreichbar.

The the pool was nice. The place looks great and clean.

The location is too far from the reservation, and in a remote village with not much to do in. Its difficult to park over there. The staff was OK but not more than that. The price is too high for what you get.

Frühstück war ausgesprochen lecker, alles frisch, besondere Wünsche wurden erfüllt Pool und Garten schön und gepflegt, viele Ecken zum Entspannen.

The place is amazing with the breakfast as the highlight. It’s calm, quiet and the service is wonderful. The rooms are beautiful and the house is charming. The pool is super refreshing and the daybeds are a dream, even in this heat!

We loved our stay at casa do Eido. We stayed for 6 days and we left wishing we had stayed longer. Ana is an amazing host and made us feel at home. The room was super comfy and it even had everything prepared to welcome our dog as well :) The breakfast was one of the highest points of our morning and we already miss the home-made cakes. We highly recommend to anyone who wishes to relax surrounded by nature!

Casa do Eido was a beautiful getaway in the middle of Gerês. The owner and the staff were lovely and prepared a delicious breakfast. The facilities were beautiful with a rustic but comfortable space and everything was very clean and well kept. The property is also at a great distance from hotspots on Gerês and restaurants. It’s a great destination for a weekend getaway with a partner, friend or alone. I will certainly be returning.
