Beautiful resort, comfortable room with a great bed and the location was verry nice. Also the swimming pools and outside areas where verry clean and verry nice
As a solo traveler who is a white alternative guy with tattoos and piercings I felt gudged by most of the staff, I felt laughed at and the 2 men at the bar my first night where verry rude… theye did not say one nice ore any words to me. When I was done eating my dinner I gave a tiny piece of chicken to the cat that was miauwing next to me and the minute the man at the bar saw that he came running and snatched my plate away from me… also there was a cute fish in a vase that was NOT appropriate fore the fish (he could not move) and I told them that. The one guy said nothing and the other one laught in my face. I felt verry uncomfortable there by those 2 men. I was aware of the breakfast hours and even when I was planning to go for breakfast at 9:00 (closes at 10:00) I was called up to say are you coming for breakfast? You know it’s only until 10 right ? It was 8:30… anyway if you don’t mind being gudged or 0 hospitality by these 2 men I should go there cause the place itself is great. I must say there where other staff members that where verry friendly like the men with the tattoos and the security guard but can’t say the same for the rest tho. I went solo travelling around the islands and all the people where so friendly so to come here and experience this was a shock !
Bed was comfortable, staff kind and helpful
Black mould on the shower sealant
We loved all the pools, food and great staff
We liked it all!
Great staff and good location.
Nothing
Cozy environment with clean facilities and affordable rates. It is a great choice for an escape from bustling urban life given its convenient location and transporation access
Needs improvement in providing indoor slippers, toiletries, and installing bathroom hooks and towel racks
A great clean stay with over the top service.
I liked everything.
Overall value for money. My family.enjoyed our overnight stay.
Food choices can be improved.
i could easily transfer to other rooms
prices went up but view defintely was bad due to the renovations
The overall aesthetic of the resort.
We were placed in the farthest room in the resort when only few guests were checked-in!
Everything was exceptional. From the place, the room, the food and the staff. Everyone was very professional and nice.
None
Friendly staff
Poor wifi connection Toilet bowl with stains
Room and beds are comfy, pool depth are great and it's good to have options (4ft, 5ft and 6ft).
Wifi signal is weak, TV channels are not working even the Youtube.
Staff service
I loved the overall ambiance. Even if it was a public resort, it does not feel like it with how cozy it was and it was not crowded. It still felt like a private and intimate getaway with my lovedones. Will definitely book again and recommend it to our friends and family.
If it could extend the night swimming hours, it would be awesome.
Nothing special in the place
-The resort’s pictures are misleading and do not accurately reflect the actual condition of the property, Has no view and at pictures showing another view which is not real. -The resort is not suitable for elderly guests or persons with disabilities. There are many steep stairs, which can be very tiring, and there is no elevator due to the mountain structure of the property. -The food in the hotel restaurant is overpriced, with limited menu options and very little variety. -Parking is very limited. Street parking is available in front of the hotel, and the internal parking operates on a first-come, first-served basis. -I stayed in Room #212, and it was very noisy. Staff were roaming around early in the morning with little regard for guest privacy and quiet hours. -The room is not soundproof. I could clearly hear the TV from the neighboring room, as well as normal sounds like sneezing. -The passages leading to the rooms are very narrow and uncomfortable.
Location is ok. Pools are ok. Beddings are ok.
Rooms are so tight, rooms has low headroom. Blant foods. There was no ready clothesline, not even in the bathroom. We had to request multiple times, I was even answered the first time that they really don't provide such. There wasn't even a place in the bathroom to place dry stuff like towel or clothings. In booking.com it says they have 3 double beds and 1 full bed for a family rm. It was just 3 single beds and 1 full in reality.
Three pools to choose from were lovely. The place was very clean and a lot of care is put into maintaining the plants and foliage around. It’s really well done. There are several places to eat or drink away from the main restaurant if you just wanted to be alone. The food is good with lots of options. Clean drinking water is available to you at any time. You can fill up your bottles as often as you like. You can walk into town if you’d like to see the Cathedral or take a trike or Grab. It’s not too far from Manila airport. We chose this one as we were going to a wedding outside of Antipolo and our kids were coming in from the airport to join us. We actually were here for a few nights prior to their arrival and the staff made sure we did not have to change rooms for the next booking. The kids were tired and jet lagged and this was a perfect spot for them to reset. They loved the lower pool.
There are a lot of stairs. A lot! But I will say that the staff is very good about helping you with your bags and carrying them up for you. The place is built on a hillside and you have to get up to see the view. If you have a mobility problem, this is not the place for you, no elevator. A lot of things on the menu are “Unavailable” and it changes from day to day. Trike drivers seem to have difficulty finding the place. I’m not sure how that could be improved upon.
Delicious breakfast! Fast and filling! Accommodated us and we had a little family gathering there that they tried their best to stay out of our way WHILE adjusting for our needs. Awesome staff!
When it got busy at the resort our room didn't get cleaned in the allotted time, but staff reached out when they saw us walking by and apologized while offering to clean then and there.
Rooms are spacious and looks exactly as depicted in photos
Corkage for food not mentioned earlier.
The room & staff
So many stairs but its ok if you are well fit to clb some stairs
Very clean, and the staff were very accomodating and greeting us with smile :)
Nothing its just that it was raining so we didnt really enjoyed the pools
Nice little hotel. Good for short stays. Nice pools and room was comfortable enough for a couple of days. Staff were friendly.

All good
Nogle værelse alt for varm, dårlig lyd isoleret. Kan høre larm når det regner. Dårlig wifi . Nogle værelse har meget dårlig wifi
We always love being here. Our stay is always fun, relaxing, given the tranquility and amenities of the property. The staff are nothing short of amazing and accommodating. Whenever we need a quick retreat, Alta Roca is our go to.
I think the only thing we don't like is the menu in the restaurant, which is a bit pricey, in case you just want to dine in.
- Really good quality beds, linen and pillows. 5 stars. - Good value for money - Good location if you have a car - Staff are generally friendly and helpful (Thank you Kuya JM for being so maasikaso) - Food was good (We particularly liked their sisig, pasta and fried chicken) - They have free-flowing coffee and tea for restaurant customers - Nice gazebos and outdoor environment
- We arrived for check in at past 8pm, which was communicated when I booked. I only got a vague "we will see if we can accommodate your request" response which kept me anxious. Even when I reached out via Viber or booking.com msg, there was no personal response. - The entrance to the resort is a stairway, which wasn't a pleasant welcome after a long day of travelling. Going up to the rooms? Even more stairs. Upon arriving at our assigned building? Even more stairs. - We booked a family room for 5, and despite that we were only given ONE KEY CARD for the duration of the stay. Even when reasoning with the front desk person, she wouldn't accommodate our request for at least two. This seemed like a dumb rule especially since we were a group of people who wouldn't be doing everything all together?? The front desk lady could have approached the situation with more logic. This policy should be reviewed as it seems stupid. - Our originally assigned room had no more soap and shampoo— disappointing since we arrived so late already. Original room also had a weak flush. Good thing they were able to re-assign us easily. - We booked this hotel to be near to a wedding we were attending. When we got back at 4am, our key cards DID NOT WORK. Hassle to be going down to the reception and back up to our rooms when we were so tired. - A LOT OF STEPS - No assigned/secure parking - The loft room isn't up to building code, with a low headroom that my brother needs be mindful of his head at the loft areas. - A lot of cockroaches at night in the hallway. - Weak wifi. - AC is under powered for the loft rooms. - We found out from another guest that is staying that there was an alternative entrance which was closer to our rooms. :|
No secured.parking space
This is a very nice hotel. Pools are nice, the room is comfortable and clean. Would stay here again
Near to the shopping mall
We’re very exhausted they give us very higher room a lot of steps then we have 2 years old kid need to carry up and down. We can’t do that again stay up there
The breakfast was fantastic! The pools were gorgeous!
The area around the hotel is primarily shanties and poor, there are many animals (ie dogs). The rooms are much smaller in reality (our sons heads almost hit the ceiling in the shower).
Staff are nice! The location is bad no lighting and dark driving around the area. Hard to see the street name.
Altaroca Mountain Resort in Antipolo is a relaxing getaway with a laid-back ambiance and well-maintained pools. The rooms are comfortable, though the bathrooms are quite small. The staff is friendly and quick to address any concerns, ensuring a smooth stay. While the food options are decent, there’s room for improvement in variety and quality. Accessibility can be a bit tricky, so planning transportation in advance is recommended. Overall, it’s a good choice for a short retreat near Manila, especially for those looking for a simple and hassle-free escape.
It was easy to locate, staff were friendly, had good parking space
Internet didn’t reach us and we’re just in the first floor
The hotel is nice and newly renovated. The food that they served in the restaurant are very delicious and affordable.
The hotel room is beautiful and newly renovated. We will book again on this hotel. The food that they served in the restaurant is delicious and affordable.
No elevators and our room was at the top (lol), stair corridor is so thin :-), i do feel sorry for the staff that carries the luggages. We booked for a week and still have to remind staff that we need to refill mineral water, coffee and other must have in our room. Everything cost, example if you order food outside the hotel you have to pay for a fee because they want you to order in the hotel restaurant. But they dont have the things i want. Looks of the hotel really is decieving.
VERY ACCOMMODATING staffs 💚. Spacious room. Clean swimming pool.
NO WIFI INSIDE THE ROOM. I need to go out just to access it. The aircon's lowest temperature is not enough to cool the whole room especially the 2nd floor since some beds are on the 2nd floor. Can't even use the TV since it only relies on the internet and we cannot access the internet inside the room.
Nice hotel, three swimming pool, lots of rest places. Nice room, new and modern. Very nice restaurant, a little bit overpriced. Friendly stuff in the restaurant.
There was a big desk in the room, but unfortunately no chair (my son had to write his homework outside). The breakfast was good, but I missed some fruits.
Staff were accomodating and food choices are excellent.
1. It is not friendly for people with disabilities and senior citizens. There's not enough safety rails on the steps going up and down the area. 2. Rooms are not refreshed daily. 3. Only one card key was provided for the room with three adults. 4. Very limited parking for residents. 5. Stray cats are roaming around the dining area and, at times, jumping onto the dining table. 6. There were no hand and face towels provided in the room.
Clean, friendly staff.
Restaurant quite limited and several items not available.
Steps steps & more steps. Unfortunately totally unsuitable for the elderly (me). Would have been helpful to know about that prior to booking. WiFi patchy & often non existent.
ambiance is very peaceful and relaxing
cash basis only.
staff are very accommodating and nice. Rooms and toilet is tidy and neat.
Our room (205) has an unpleasant smell, not so my wife has to spray her perfume just to mask the smell. Also the resort is not good for senior people/ disabled people.
Our group booked this resort for our teambuilding activity since it is near the office and at the same time far away enough to be able to relax. The resort is clean, has three swimming pools with varying depths and cabanas to sit down and rest. We like the layout of the swimming pools and the cabanas which made the resort look classy. The swimming pools were also frequently cleaned by the staff. The manager and all the staff were accommodating with our requests, engaging and friendly. The resort is conveniently located near Antipolo Cathedral and Robinsons Antipolo (shopping mall). It is also near restaurants with overlooking views of the city.
Our room (for five people) has loft area but the airconditioning did not quite reach the loft which made it warmer compared to the rest of the room. There are also no seats inside the room. We found the corkage fee for bringing in food and drinks is on the expensive side.
We enjoyed our stay
Outside of the area is unsafe like the slums. The property has so much flight of stairs with no elevator. You will find yourself so short of breath after 1 flight of stairs. There is also a lot of stray cats inside the property surrounding you most especially when you eat. Very unsafe. Room is clean but bed is like sleeping on hardwood floor, very hard. Bathroom is clean.
Very helpful staff
Staff were friendly and accommodated for our needs. Breakfast was okay, but bar is open till 10pm and drinks are cheap!
Be mindful that as it is a mountain resort, there are lots of stairs, no ramps for luggages or strollers.
We like the swimming pool. The room is clean, however beware you will get charged for stained sheet and towels.
We were charged as “treatment fee” for the dirty bed sheets. They have must disclosed this when we arrived since they know that we have a toddler with us. we have stayed in countless hotels and have never heard of one charging for dirty fittings. I feel like chocolate should be able to come out pretty easily with a quick wash? seems a bit ridiculous. There was a Corkage fee for 1000 (this was not disclosed during our booking) Breakfast is not a buffet, please check carefully before booking. No water heater in the rooms. We booked Dorm A and room 401, basically you will feel like you are in a training than relaxing. It was a hike specially going to room 401. Beware if you don’t like stairs! and one gay (resort attendant) had told me that’s better for me to walk in the stairs to get slim. My husband got offended.
We love everything about the place. Starting from the reception, the rooms, the restaurant, the facilities like the pool. Everything was great!
NONE AT ALL.
The resort is clean and we appreciate the modern aesthetics of the resort. Good for photo ops.
We booked 3 family rooms for our family reunion - we ended up not filling all the rooms since 5 of our family members fell sick. We were shocked upon arriving that there are corkage fee (1,000php for each dish) - during the booking confirmation and exchange of emails with them this was not disclosed. The Q&A section was not updated and they have changed regulations with bringing outside foods and drinks. They turn off lights at a certain time and close the pools at 10pm. So if you’re planning for an overnight swimming with family, this resort is not the ideal place to be. My fault here I haven’t read all their rules before booking. The owner was always lurking around and walking around the property - you can sense from the staffs they’re terrified and doesn’t have freedom to take any initiatives and client rapport - this is super put of character for our kababayans. Sad my husband who is first time visiting in the Philippines has to experience it. We were charged 200-400php for the “dirty” towels - again we haven’t expected this we have stayed in a lot of hotels in different parts of the world and this was the first time we were charged for the “special laundry” of the towels. Again this was not disclosed during booking, we were just informed when we arrived. The breakfast was not a buffet so please be reminded on this - it is à la carte and you have to let the reception know the afternoon like 6pm the day before what you will have for breakfast (again this was not disclosed during booking, we were just informed when we arrived) - which is kind of out of character of every hotel/resort we stayed at. Basically feels like a military training camp than a relaxing resort. Also be informed that the place is in the mountains as per its name, so be prepared to lots of upward stairs. I’m not sure if they offer any assistance or other route to handicaps and elderly people.
the staff. very polite. excellent customer service
the property doesnt have airconditioning. the fridge doesnt work. we had to ask the nice room attendant for a fan.
the room is clean, the pool is clean surroundings are clean in general
it is not Senior and PWD friendly, no enough parking space, and not pet friendly
Rooms are clean and new.
Some pathways just look slippery but all good overall.
The whole resort except the stairs😄
The corkage
Walking distance from Hinulugang TakTak. Reasonably priced stay for a group of 5. I like the swimming pools, all 3 of them were clean. Our stay included breakfast which were good as well. Our room is comfy and just enough size for all of us. Overall, the resort is clean and highly maintained.
Not PWD friendly.
Family pool
All good
The hotel is good and the food they serve are very delicious. Excellent chef❤️
It’s a nice place with a superb service. Staff were friendly and helpful.
