Some of the games in the game room wasn't working right or took your money we love you have the game room in there like that kids really love it but its disappointing when they dont operate correctly

We have come to Shipshewana for years and this is our first time trying the Blue Gate Garden Inn. It was very clean, comfy beds, and an amazing breakfast. There are special features like ice cream shop and outside a little water feature with a fireplace. The lights that were strung were pretty. We would definitely stay again.

There is no dinner restaurant close by - walking distance. There was an Italian restaurant that did deliver to the room. No alcohol though.

Close to the venue to see Brothers Osborne. Loved the Fall decorations! Breakfast was amazing compared to most hotel breakfasts.

Its a great location, there was plenty to do with the large indoor pool and hot tub, game room, large patio to enjoy great weather outside. Wonderful breakfast offered in the AM.

Breakfast was exceptional. The property and grounds were beautifully decorated for the season. We appreciated the many tables and seating areas to gather with friends.

The ice cream parlor was not open . I would have appreciated an upholstered chair in the room for relaxing, but did make use of the seating area down the hall.

Clean, comfortable, spacious room - next door to the venue where I was going to attend a show. The free breakfast was excellent - with made-to-order omelet bar. And the coffee was far superior to most coffee I get in hotels. Loved this place.

I use a cane and saw several other guests staying here, one elevator and it was still too long of a walk to our room ans I spoke to another guest who felt the same way! Steps are also hard after so many!

The hotel and staff were amazing. The room was beautiful and super clean. Breakfast buffet? Outstanding! One of the best made to order omelettes ever had! We did not use the pool or the fire pits or ice cream parlor, but we will next time!!

It was close to the venue for the concert. Nice to be able to walk across the parking lot.

We have not stayed there in a while and we were looking forward to using the hot tub and it was not working. Our last day there it was also out of order so very disappointing. Also, the breakfast was not as good as it used to be omelettes very thin, and the pastries were dry just overall not the best.

The room was very clean and well prepared, daily. Very good staff and very friendly. Room was quiet and we both had a good sleep both nights. Extra value for the complimentary breakfast both mornings.

We didn't bring shampoo or soap and surprised it wasn't available (we didn't care for the pump body dispenser provided in the shower). The absence of vending machines in the building to dispense soft drinks left us unprepared the first evening, but we stopped at a store on the way back to the hotel to fill both the shampoo, soap, and soft drinks. The Sunday morning brunch was not as good as Monday mornings, which had better seasoning and flavor.

The breakfast in the morning was excellent with made to order omelets. The room was spacious, comfortable bed and clean and the on site ice cream parlor was excellent. Very nice amenities. Although we didn't utilize them, the outdoor patio with fire pits and swimming pool and hot tub looked very nice as well.

We had no problems or issues with our visit and would stay again.

I was just there 1 night, but did drive around the area-beautiful farms, in Amish country. Breakfast was excellent, quiet room, all good!

Room was not clean. Someone else's hair in bathroom. Mini frig was dirty. Air conditioner was very loud.

We stayed in a renovated room…..oh my gosh it was amazing!! The room is up to date and very well laid out. The beds are dreamy and soooo comfortable.

There was renovation construction still going on during the day….but it will eventually be done soon.

This property overbooked and gave our room to someone else. We booked this property because it was next door to a concert venue and allowed us to just walk to the event. They moved us down the road and we had no choice but to go to other facility. The manager was rude, arrogant, unsympathetic, and told us this was normal practice. We are very disappointed as we had stayed at this hotel on multiple past trips and had recommended in the past to many people. We will never stay there again or recommend to others.

This hotel is always top notch. Facility is clean, front desk personnel are helpful and friendly, rooms are nice. The breakfast is fantastic. We always stay here when in the area.

Walls were thin and heard neighbors talking til after midnight. Had to walk forever (seemed like a qtr of a mile) to get to room. Was hair in tub.

If a room is booked for three guests it should have three sets of towels and three servings of coffee. We only had two.

Breakfast was very good, staff is all very nice and accommodating. The room was very clean and the bathroom has all the amenities that I forgot to bring!!! It is within walking distance of the concert hall with lots of free parking.

It was somewhat noisy at times, but that is to be expected when there are a large number of children in summer. Breakfast items could be hotter.

When you drive up you see this beautiful exterior that looks inviting and is clean. One of the most important aspects of a property where you are looking to stay is the first impression of the exterior.

There could be a redo of the parking lot. More handicapped parking spaces are needed and closer to the main entrance. It would also be a plus if the establishment would provide you with a list of nearby attractions and places to visit.

Our room was musty. The ac cooled the room, but it was super humid in the room.

Location was great with an easy walk to downtown. The grounds and the building are beautiful. The arcade was fun.

The rooms are very basic comfort level. The parking lot wasn't very full but we were still placed in an obscure room with the farthest walk possible. Basic television services with no digital platform capabilities. Our room didn't have a good view. The outdoor patio with the fireplaces was beautiful but always too crowded to get a good spot. We also ended driving out of town for dinner because food prices were very expensive in town for a sub par Amish food experience.
