Beautiful property, fabulous location

We have stayed at the Farmstead multiple times. Anytime we are in the area, this is where we stay. Always very clean, friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet is always good and fresh.

Breakfast was very good, nice selections. Pool was nice as was all the little areas to sit around the lobbies and halls

An ice machine on the 3rd floor would have been nice

-The biscuits could have softer and cut in half to put gravy over. - 2 hard cooked eggs was a lot to eat, 1 would have plenty. - bowls for cereal could have been bigger - little cinnamon rolls could have been served warm

Did not like the recliners were on each side of the table with the tv facing beds so could only watch tv from bed not the chair. Chair did not have a footing that you can slide it out a ways.

The water pressure is amazing. The beds are very comfortable. They have a very good breakfast buffet.

The shower head was too low for my husband to fit under it comfortably. The room key card wasn't programmed properly and we had issues getting into the room. We had to go back to the front desk twice to get it corrected.

Comfortable, spacious room! Bathroom was exceptional.

Breakfast quality was okay but fruit selection was not good. The fruit looked old.

Loved how the breakfast area was set up to keep from overcrowding. The reception counter staff were very nice and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable.

The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good with easy access. The facility was beautiful, from the landscaping to the interior. The staff was helpful, very courteous, and friendly. Would love to stay with you again!

Farmstead inn continues to be our first and only choice when frequenting the area. My wife and I always look forward to a safe and comfortable stay that the smoke and alcohol free property provide our family. Our small kids enjoy the comfortable pool and the beautiful walking areas outdoors. We shall look forward to our next visit!

The staff is so nice, from booking online to checking in/out. They were also very friendly whenever we left and returned. The breakfast looked really good - lots of carbohydrates that I couldn't eat, but that's my problem, not theirs. The sausage was good and they had pre-packaged boiled eggs, so I did have options! The housekeeping staff left us personally written notes, from welcoming us to the room to making sure we had everything we needed when we opted to skip a cleaning. The location of the Inn was perfect. It is at the crosswalk that leads to a couple of the best shopping centers, and it is next door to the Menno-Hof Education center (we spent 2 hours+ here) and also to the Visitors Bureau (go there first!). And oh my gosh, the Inn and its grounds are just gorgeous. We went to Shipshewana to attend a concert at the Blue Gate Performing Arts Center - it is a first class venue that is a lot like a Hard Rock Cafe, with memorabilia on the walls. We will definitely return.

We liked everything about this hotel and fell in love with Shipshewana.

Toilet too low. Bed too high, hard to get into. Need plastic glasses for drinks.

Ran out of oatmeal an hour before breakfast was done.

Breakfast was good. Property was nice and location was good.

Room was clean except for the rug was stained in many places at the foot of the beds. It probably had been cleaned and perhaps the stains would not come out. The carpet should have been changed if that was the case. Not a good thing to have to look at for our stay. Bathroom shower fixture had some age on it. Knob was clear and over the years grime had gotten in and couldn't be cleaned out,

It was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nice as well. We liked that there were 2 sinks.

The biggest was the breakfast. We go there at 8:30. The food was cold, not very maintained and wasn't very tasty. The midnight staff and weekend morning staff were very pleasant. The afternoon lady on Friday was not the friendliest.

Quiet stay, clean and beds were comfortable along with recliners in room.

Shower…….fan didn’t work and when moving sprayer water shot out of from back of head.Doors to rooms slam when leaving room.

The gravy for the biscuits could’ve been a little less blah could’ve had bacon on the line. The glass of orange juice I got my wife got were pretty much all water couldn’t even drink it

Check in was very easy, everyone was very nice Answered any questions I had. Stayed here before always enjoy my stay. Saw that they are getting a new pool very exciting about that!!

Can't think of anything, maybe that the pool open early in morning around 6am so we could swim before we have to check out!

Good location, overall the property was nice. There was a really nice restaurant in the next town Middlebury called West on Warren - worth the 15 minute drive.

The Bathroom - there was no cover on the toilet!!! We all know what happens when you flush! Also, the coffee pot was on the counter in the bathroom - so who would drink the coffee? Also, the shower was very small. Also, we called the front desk about these two rooms that had large pink cables, three of them, running from one room to the other, under each door - highly suspicious. They were still there the next day and no one bothered to call us back to explain either way. Last the famous flea market was a joke.

Pool lights were a little dark, maybe cause its a saltwater pool. Wasnt water it was lights in the room. Kids enjoyed BB and ping pong. Room was really clean.

This property is massive and we ended up in a wing that had a separate entrance from where we checked in. The breakfast buffet was also in the main building in an area that was complicated to access compared to most hotels I’ve stayed

although you end up paying $500-700 or more per night, at the property if you want sunbeds and umbrella, you have to pay $46 per day. also parking is not included in the price, $20 per day. if you want comfort at the sunbeds by the pool, you also have to pay extra,

There was a large gap under the door. We were woke up at 1:30am from a woman cross the hall coughing for 1.5 hours. She then had another coughing jag at 5am for another hour. We could hear everything. Almost called an ambulance for her. HORRIBLE.

The breakfast was as good as it could be given the fact that so many people had to be served over a four-hour period. It was on par with other hotel breakfasts.

This is a beautiful property and is exceptionally clean and well maintained. The rooms are comfortable and quiet although I found the mattress to be a little firm for my liking. The breakfast was good and the coffee was better than most! There are plenty of areas to relax around the property and the atmosphere is very relaxed.

Room was very nice, better than I expected. Although on first night was wakened by construction machinery at 2AM,overall it was a very pleasant stay.

On first morning of stay at breakfast found what appeared to be mouse dropping on plate. I let kitchen staff know about it.

The facility was very nice & clean. The room was clean & I loved the fact they have recliners in the room. I have a bad back and was sitting on bleachers most of the day. so to come back and be able to put my feet up in a reclining position was a huge plus! The breakfast was also very good.

My wife and I appreciate that this hotel does not allow alcohol. We appreciate being able to relax and not have to worry about encountering the many issues that accompany people that drink alcohol in hotels. As a family with small children, this will continue to be our first choice while traveling to the area.

Carpets in room were stained and furniture was all scratched up. Mattresses were located next to an exit door, it was all just very off putting, did not present a clean comfortable environment
