The Robin's Nest Tobermory

Absolutely perfect. If you’re headed to tobermory, this is the place for you..

We were greeted by our host as soon as we arrived. Robin and her husband gave us a warm welcome and introduced us to our room that back to a enchanted forest. The deck was so welcoming to relax contemplate or just read a book. The room was rustic decor but yet very cozy. Every morning we were invited to the outdoor kitchen and enjoyed a warm breakfast prepare Robin and Jim (I hope I got your name right) and hot coffee! Thank you both for a wonderful stay!

Amazing property and owners!

My mom and I loved our time at the Robin’s Nest! We would highly recommend! We will be going back in the future.

Great place and great service !!!

Would highly recommend this stay.

We enjoyed our stay. The owners Jim and Robin were nice. The breakfast provided was good. We were not pleased that we couldn’t smoke outside our room as they have bears around at night. We had to go to the road area where our car was. They should perhaps put this on their listing of the property. Also it was over priced for what we got.

What a wonderful stay! The accommodation was absolutely excellent — just a short walk to town. The rooms were beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was beyond delicious — truly the perfect start to each day

We loved it! Stayed in the loft upstairs and it was lovely. Huge bed, great open space and the private deck overlooking the parks/woods was wonderful. Breakfast was able to be ‘to go’ so warmed breakfast sandwiches and burrito types. Perf loCation - easy and safe to walk on the road. I also used the provided bike and biked around a bit too. Two taco places across the street. Loved the views and both Robin and Jim were incredibly personable!

The property and the host were great, the only downside was the internet connection which kept fluctuating and disconnecting, wasn't a big problem just at night but it may be something they should improve for future guest since we were rained in for 1 night.

Location was walkable to local attractions and restaurants. This is important because there is very little parking in the core area.

Awesome, well appointed rooms, and amazing location... Close to virtually everything. Owners, Robin & Jim, are super friendly, down to earth people that really care about your experience... A must go if you're planning a stay in Tobermory, Ontario.

Great property with GREAT inclusive owners! Close to town and walkable or there’s bikes on site to cruise around on. Loved this propert and would return.

Great getaway. Very secluded and peaceful. We stayed in the upstairs king room and it was beautiful. We enjoyed a quite wonderful breakfast on our private balcony each morning. The location is excellent for walking into town for dining and shopping. Tobermory is definitely a beautiful Canadian vacation spot.

This was a lovely place to spend 2 days. Everything we needed and more. Highly recommend.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Mermaid Inn. Jim and Robin were exceptional hosts and provide some nice touches, such as, a bottle of wine, real wine glasses, snacks, great coffee and breakfast in the morning. We felt very comfortable. We enjoyed our own private patio, easy walking distance to shopping and dining. Will definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at Mermaid Inn. The owners are wonderful and very welcoming people. The room was cute and cozy and unique. We enjoyed having breakfast on the beautiful deck surrounded by nature and forest. Very peaceful place. It is 5 minute walk from the main strip and easily walkable. We loved our stay at Mermaid Inn and hope to come back again next year. Anna and Elena

We had a perfectly sweet stay at this quaint little boutique Inn surrounded by trees and rocks. Loved our private cozy patio to relax and picnic. The bed was very comfortable. We could walk into the village in a short time, restaurants as well and the harbour. The icing on the cake was our Inn keeper Yvette who couldn't do enough for us. Thank you. Highly recommend ♥️

We were here for a girls’ getaway and it was perfect. Yvette, our host, was very welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable. We loved the mermaid themed decor and the outdoor kitchen with self serve coffee and breakfast treats. A very convenient location to all restaurants and activities.

Cute property and room. We loved our patio!

This was a wonderful inn. Bed was super comfortable. Booked the king bed room and it was a large room with a large bathroom. Property is surrounded by a nice pine and cedar forest. Short walk into town and the national park is very close by. Coffee was provided in the morning. Was an excellent stay and I will be back again!

It was amazing

This place was amazing, Yvette is such a great host, she immediately made us feel at home! The room was very clean, beautifully decorated and with everything we needed. The breakfast was so yummy and the place overall super cute. Also, the location is great as you can walk to town in less than 10 mins.

Little disappointed with sounds of people upstairs, didn’t appear to be insulated so you could hear everything people were doing. Also tried to watch tv before bed but no wifi working

King size garage loft was a nice upgrade

Absolutely lovely Inn, right on highway 6. Walking distance to the marina and shops/restaurants in Tobermory, and within 15 minutes of Bruce National Park, The Grotto, and Halfway Log Dump. Lots of restaurant options across the street, as well as a grocery store. They have bikes you can take if you’d rather not walk to town. We would definitely stay again.

Super cozy, quaint and cute room and property. Great location, quiet and peaceful and yet close enough to all the hussel and bussel of downtown.

We loved everything about our stay. The host was great, the space was perfect - big, confortable, clean and cute!

Amazing rustic and beautiful staying option on the main road of Tobermory. Heavily recommended.

The host was very friendly and attentive. Property is a mere 700 metres from Bay St so it makes for a relaxing walk every day to shop and dine.

Loved the eclectic vibe of this place! Yvette the host was so wonderful and extremely helpful! The place was clean and the king bed in our room was like a giant marshmallow! So comfortable! We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. A must to stay and enjoy Tobermory!

Wonderful place. We loved the loft!

We were pleasantly surprised at the room and property. I was expecting a typical Inn or Motel room. Instead we had a spacious loft with a dinning area, kitchenette, small sitting area and bed. They had provided some snacks and coffee. The Inn manager had a bonfire each night and gave us homemade banana bread on our last night there. We brought our dog and she was welcomed without issue. I have nothing negative to say.

Yvette was an amazing host and did a walkthrough of property. She recommended the areas around city to visit as well as places to eat. Suite was spacious and well maintained.

Very nice other than the weather. The Innkeeper Yvette is a sweetheart and wonderful host. Great hospitality.

A two night getaway was a wonderful experience staying at Mermaid Inn. The Inn keeper Yvette is such a wonderful lady, best host, a local guide for places to visit and restaurants to eat. Made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. The best part was the last night when she called the guest to sit and chat around the bonfire she arranged. I would certainly recommend and will stay there again if I ever visit Tobermory second Time.

Super friendly staff.

Tvette was very friendly & helpful. Really a unique property & rooms. I liked it and will surely come again. thanks, Sahil

Yvette was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Great place to stay if you're coming to Tobermaury!

Everything was clean and quaint, she even brought us coffee in the morning. Incredible hospitality. I can’t wait to come back again and explore more.

Yvette was fantastic! Everything was clean and quaint, she even brought us coffee in the morning. Incredible hospitality. I can’t wait to come back again and explore more.

Quaint and lovely aesthetic, and great facilities.

We loved our room! Immaculately clean, very spacious and really nicely decorated. Had great helpful touches including a night light in the bathroom (which we both really appreciated), games and puzzles and tourist information. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a lovely time. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathtub was so nice. The only thing that we were disappointed about was that in your advertisement it said continental breakfast. The bananas and yogurt were nice but we were expecting an actual breakfast.

Cute vibes, tucked away nicely in the woods while still being a convenient location within walking distance of the town and excellent food options across the street. The bed was comfortable and overall it was a wonderful place to stay. Soundproofing could be improved, as it was possible to hear snoring and the TV from other guests.

Yvette was super friendly and we had a great time staying at the inn.

Would stay there again without hesitation. Problem was there wasn’t much in Tobermory.

Very cute, very comfortable. The "continental breakfast" could use a tweak or two. Muffins, unripe bananas and tiny portions of yogurt did not satisfy. Otherwise, very nice.

NICE PLACE

Excellent location and just the getaway we needed. In walking distance to the water and grocery store. Rustic comfy vibes at this Inn. The bed was comfortable, spacious shower and deck. Yvette the Inn keeper was amazing, she prepared a lovely continental breakfast with coffee every morning which we ate on adirondak chairs surrounded by a beautifully landscaped lot.We had a camp fire at night with some other visitors, grateful for our memorable stay.

Absolutely beautiful gem of a place. Only negative remark would be, You can hear everything in the house, thank goodness it rained every night to muffle the noise from other guests.

Very nice location with beautiful rooms, natural setting and walking distance to downtown shops, restaurants and cruises. Friendly staff (Yvette) was available and accommodating. Thank you, we'll be back!

We could hear people living upstairs walking, dropping things, moving chair etc. This place is showing location on the map is incorrect. It is not located next to Bay St, it's located three blocks away.

Great

Yvette was a great host and breakfast each morning was a great start to the day's activities. Perfect location

Nice and quiet place to stay. Everything you need is a short walk away. Would definitely go back!

Our host was the best. She had fresh baked unique item every day. She even caught us as we were leaving with a snack for the trip. The room was spectacular. It was warm and colorful. We did not want to leave.

Would highly recommend this Inn. It was within walking distance to everything.

Very quite, comfortable and nice host. Lovely place

Mermaid Inn is definitely a great option if you're looking to visit Tobermory.

Everything about the place was unique and worthwile.

The Mermaid Inn was just perfect for us. It was clean and close to everything. The room was beautiful and a pleasure to stay in. Yvette was really friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend the Mermaid when visiting Tobermory.

A unique property to stay in Tobermory which feels like home. Loved the decor and the property manager was such a pleasure to deal, with, she even made us a outdoor fire in the fire pit 😁

We booked the weekend looking forward to visiting Tobermory but - despite being vaxxed and boosted, I came down with a bad case of COVID on the day before we were to travel. (We would not have been able to enter Canada even if we wanted to.) That said, the management refused to provide any sort of refund or credit. We are out a lot of money and very disappointed in their response.

Great experience

Beautiful property. Quiet, peaceful, quick walk downtown. The room was spacious and lovely with a huge private deck.

The personal touches and Yvette was more than anyone could have expected.

Very rustic charming. If you’re looking for 5* amenities you won’t get that here. However, the grounds are lovely and it’s peaceful. Yvette, the innkeeper is helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The suites are not soundproof and can use some updates but still charming in keeping with the inn theme. Only real negative is the price. $400 per night. Far too much for what you get.

The Mermaid is a unique and beautiful property…exactly what I was looking for.

Very nice bohemian decor. We enjoyed the privacy, as we booked a room above the garage, separate from the main house. It was peaceful, except occasional traffic, along hwy 6.

Lovely!

Perfect experience for my birthday ,owner and Yvette are amazing

distinctive and original and well-maintained

Nice setup and very unique decor and design.

We loved our loft! Roomy, well equipped and fun. Yvette, the innkeeper is awesome and accommodating. We loved the place.

It was just okay. No where did it say that the bathroom walls did not reach the ceiling. Nothing like listening to your partner going to the bathroom. Ugh! The patio looked like it was packed up for the winter and very bare and really not inviting the way the pictures look. That was really disappointing as it could have been decorated for fall considering the price that I was charged to stay. The one good thing was the bed. It was comfortable.

Clean quiet and relaxing. Just what I was looking for.

The property is a little funky & fun, however for the price the self service breakfast is just OK & more importantly Yvette( the owner I believe) needs to address what happens when there is a power out.. I would suggest a generator both to provide water( from the well) & lighting to negotiate stairs etc for general safety.

Yvette was a fantastic host - knowledgeable of the area and extremely helpful. Great outdoor kitchen area that was available for guests to use (milk, bread, fruit etc. provided). Room was faultless and very clean. Everything in Tobermory is just a short walk away. Campfire on the Saturday evening was a lovely bonus - met some of the other guests. A definite 10.

We loved the Mermaid Inn and would happily stay there any time we go to Tobermory! A unique, cozy place with a friendly atmosphere. Nice clean room, comfortable bed. Flexible hours for check-in are convenient. Walking distance to everything. Great stay!

Yvette was there to welcome us immediately upon arrival and was very friendly and helpful. The room was better than advertised with an extremely comfortable bed. Location was great with just a short walk to town. Stargazing on a clear night is 10/10. Highly recommended stay.

Beautiful property in a quiet, wooded setting but only a couple of blocks from Tobermory harbour. We had a wonderful stay. Would definitely recommend this Inn to everyone!

Stayed at the Mermaid Inn for two nights (Saturday & Sunday). The room was super comfortable, spacious and airy. The private deck was a bonus. The bikes came in very handy when we wanted to check out the town. I highly recommend!

Host Yvette was very friendly and provided a lot of useful informations about tourist specific topics and she was always ready to assist in any way possible. It was a lovely location and terrace was huge and so relaxing. I would go back there.

Beautiful place surrounded by trees. Rooms are big and comfortable. The host is very nice and helpful.

P

This is a very nice place and I was made to feel extremely welcome. Would thoroughly recommend.

A unique loft; fun décor. Close to downtown. Friendly host met us upon arrival.

Beautiful place, clean and with design. Patio is the best.
