Loo without a door was a bit unusual

We stayed in the "shed" in the winter, which ended up being a super private cozy cottage on the edge of the cliff with views out to the lighthouse & Poor Knights Islands. The outdoor bath was awesome. What a spot. Will definately be returning

Location was amazing, fantastic views.

Getting there was a little tricky. No signage on the road, especially near the #115 letterbox, which threw me off. Hot water was also a little patchy, it would alternate between hot and cold water.

It is such a unique place. The incredible location and the view make this place one of the best places I have ever been in New Zealand.

The drive-in is fairly typical of the bush; very different between day and night; unfortunately, with people from out of town, you cannot assume anything. Therefore it's important to have documents that can teach people how to get into the facility, use the coffee machine, use the shower, and how to regulate the heater or air-conditioning depending upon the right season. The stay was most enjoyable though

Very comfortable bed; you should have some automatic motion lights that can automatically turn on when people are approaching.

Absolutely magical location, friendly host

The view is stunning, i can't recall a better view, lovely people who host, location is excellent, there is an outdoor bathroom area so it has a feel of high end glamping so probably not ideal in winter but we were there in late April and it was great. close to walks and you can walk into town via a bush track and beach below is peaceful and lovely. Hugely like it.

Fabulous location, the shed did not disappoint and Susy’s attention to detail was great. Loved the heated spa and the bath on our deck! Far exceeded our expectations!

Location is spectacular. Views to die for. Unique indoor outdoor flow. A bit like clamping. Short walk to beach and also to lovely pool and spa. Great walk to lighthouse. Easy walk to marina through the bush. Owner is super friendly.

Enchanting cabin with sun deck perched high above Tutukaka with wonderful sea and forest views. A nice surprise was the shared drinks bar and pool with even more stunning views. Lovely friendly host as well.

The cabin is a tranquil private retreat set perfectly looking out over bush with view shafts to the ocean. I loved the pool and relaxing on the beanbags looking out to sea. Location is great! A short 15-20 min walk to/from the marina, or a couple of minutes by car. The lighthouse is about an hour round trip. Lots of steps but totally worth it… and the pool is great to cool off in afterwards.

The location and facilities were outstanding- and the view was spectacular. It was only a short walk to both a private beach and the local shops and restaurants and very peaceful for a relaxing and restorative holiday. The hosts were friendly and welcoming.

A bit closer to main house than we thought but didn’t see or hear anyone else.

This was an incredible place to stay. The accommodations were perfect, the view was INSANE and we loved the hot tub and pool overlooking the bay and out to the Poor Knights Islands. We would love to stay here again if we’re ever near Tutukaka. Also, the host Suzie was so lovely and helpful. Highly recommend!

The views are stunning. The pods are set up with a separate living room/kitchen and bedroom. Lots of privacy and space. The coffee machine was amazing and the owner left us tea, nespresso pods and milk. Easy to walk into Tutukaka and access to lighthouse trail.

Could use a few more dishes.

Incredible view from the pod. My accommodation overlooked the ocean with a sleeping quarters on one side and the living area and kitchenette on the other. There was a massive deck that overlooked the ocean with a view of poor knights island.

Outstanding view from the whole of the property. Easy to find & close to Marina with great cafes & restaurants. Not far from 3,4 maybe more stunning beaches & walking tracks.

The location and facilities are fantastic,Susie the host is absolutely lovely. Although we didnt use the pool ,it looked absolutely stunning, I really enjoyed the outside bath ,and the incredible view and weather we had were enough, also the beautiful beach and walks were just perfect for a relaxing weekend away. We cant wait to return.

Big kitchen but no microwave or oven or bbq. Also, no basic kitchen utensils such as potato peeler, masher or wooden spoons etc. Only one enormous frying pan and one tiny pot.

The view was fantastic. Plenty of flora then ocean and then the Poor Knight's islands where we went diving one day. The Pods, where we stayed, is near the main Lighthouse Lookout but far enough away for privacy

The water container of the coffee machine needed to be cleaned, so we decided to make coffee in a different way. However, I informed the host about it and it has since been cleant.

Everything! It was easy to get to from Auckland with good instructions & Susie was there to greet us & show us around. The view is stunning. We loved the space we had & the complete privacy & quiet. The bed was comfortable with beautiful bed linen & soft towels with beach towels too. We’ve been travelling for a month so the chance to relax & prepare a simple meal was welcome although we could walk down to Tutukaka for meals & a flat white to watch the world go by. Susie made delicious margaritas by the refreshing pool - thank you - our stay was idyllic.

We stayed in the pods. We loved the view and privacy of the units. The bean bag chairs on deck were comfy. Also enjoyed exploring the property as well as the lighthouse hike.

What an amazing location to stay. I could, and did, just sit on my balcony outside my ‘shed’ room for hours staring at the view. Perfect place to relax.

The location is absolutely incredible with stunning views all around. You feel completely alone (in the best way) and immersed in the nature of the area. The general/shared facilities were great including beach access and a lovely pool area we really enjoyed. We loved having a bbq as well to enjoy during our stay and the bed was comfortable. The hosts were lovely and so helpful during our time.

The Cabin itself had a lot of cobwebs and dust everywhere and just felt it could have been a bit cleaner; however appreciate its indoor/outdoor nature so may be hard to keep on top of. Also no wifi in the Cabin and a bit of a smell from the bathroom tank in the mornings. Also advertised as a bed and breakfast but no breakfast included so would just suggest taking that wording out of the listing for future travellers.

Incredible views from the room every morning, great kitchen and living area. Clean, well equipped bathroom and very comfortable bed. Pool was great and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly! Loved the close proximity to the gorgeous private beaches and free usage of paddle boards and kayaks.

We loved it all; the views, the privacy, the walk down into Tutukaka, the lighthouse walk, the beach swims, the wonderful host.

The bed was way too soft for us.

I was as advertised, very relaxing, lots to do, or you could do nothing, very friendly hosts. bed was comfy and Cosy, we were able to switch off and relax.
