Ein Wasserkocher und ein paar Tassen wären nett. Leider gab es aufgrund eines sturmbedingten Stromausfalles weder Strom noch fließendes Wasser, da die Pumpe für den Brunnen strombetrieben ist. Das Personal war aber bemüht und hat uns Wasser zur Verfügung gestellt.

Direkt am Eingang des Nationalparks gelegen, sehr sauber, große Zimmer Kaffee und Tee gibt es morgens in der Rezeption über die Straße

Wenn es noch einen Wasserkocher und einen Toaster gäbe, wäre es perfekt

Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft mit sehr freundlichen Gastgebern direkt am Eingang zum Cape Breton National Park.

Die Hohe Stufe am Eingang.Es gibt wohl auf Anfrage eine Rampe.Wenn wir fest reserviert haben erwarten wir einen vorgekühten Kühlschrank.Es gab nur eine Mikrowelle und ältere dunkle Möbel.Der Duschstrahl war sehr hart .Und nicht zu verstellen. Vorhänge und Handtücher teilweise nicht sauber.

Excellent location, right next to the Skyline trailhead, and a great breakfadt place called "the last sandwich". Nice and sweet walking route by the river right behind the hotel. Beautiful and well maintained lawn in the backyard with plenty of benches, picnic spots and birds. Very friendly and helpful staff.

When we stayed as 4 people in the room the bathroom ventilation didn't cope and the water was coming down the walls. We opened the window to fix that but if it was colder outside that may have been a problem. This didn't really bother us, but something to look at.

Staff were very friendly and obliging, they gave us some great tips for our drive around the Cabot Trail.

We were unable to make ourselves a tea or coffee in our room, but these facilities were available at reception during opening hours.

The property is located perfectly for visiting the local area with an abundance of trails to suit everyone. The property has its own private trail that guests can use which is an easy amble alongside the river and through thin woodland. The proprietor was very helpful with local information on facilities in the town along with restaurants etc. If you are driving towards Cheticamp in a Southerly direction, the Cornerstone motel is the first accommodation before entering the town, look for the unmissable coloured apartments. Each room has its own parking bay right outside its door entrance.

Quiet and comfortable room right on the Cabot Trail, just north of Chéticamp and just south of the National Park border. There was a microwave and refrigerator in the room and coffee and tea in the lobby. The owner told us which restaurants were open for dinner and breakfast.

Het bed was aan de kleine kant. Wij zijn zelf niet groot, maar de breedte is kleiner dan je gewend bent.

Sehr gepflegte und saubere Zimmer. Gute Ausstattung und alles gut unterhalten. Grosszügiger Umschwung mit gepflegten Waldwegen dem Flussufer entlang. Grosse Feuerschale im Garten für gemeinsame Nutzung.

Die Heizung funktioniert gut, ist aber bei frostigen Temperaturen etwas langsam und im Hauptraum bei gezogen Gardinen etwas ineffizient.

The location was perfect for exploring Cape Breton. At check-in, Greg was extremely helpful and friendly with his advice on restaurants and things to see in the surrounding area. It was close to Cheticamp as well as numerous hikes in the area so it made a perfect base.

Super clean and well presented room and property. Pretty walk in grounds - riverside and woods. Good facilities in surrounding area. Amazing trails.

Watch out for the heat of the shower. If curtains were a little bigger they would block light completely.

Greg, the manager, could not have been nicer or more accommodating! He’s an expert on things to see and do on the Island, and loves to help visitors. Beautiful and peaceful setting by the Cheticamp River!

Haben uns bei unserem kurzen Aufenthalt wohl gefühlt. Zimmer hat alles was man braucht inkl. kleinem Kühlschrank. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiterin beim Checkin.

Mussten ein paar Spinnen entfernen. Eventuell könnte einmal in den Ecken durchgewischt werden, sonst hat aber alles gepasst.

Chambre minuscule.Le lit grincait au moindre mouvement. Les rideaux étaient tâches. Pas de cafetière dans les chambres.Une cafetière collective est a disposition à l'accueil mais il faut traverser la route et cela est très dangereux.

Fantastic location and super neat garden with outdoor seating area with cute building. It covers basic inside facilities (without kettle) but enough for overnight stay. Office is on opposite side of the accommodation buildings open 7am-10pm. Friendly reception staff.

Lovely folks managing the motel. Rooms are minimalist, but clean & comfortable. You are very close to the entrance of the Cabot Trail National Park. You are next to the river with hiking trails on the beautiful property. Lots of chairs outside to enjoy the last of the sun of the day.

The location is perfect - just outside the park entrance. Immaculately clean unit backing onto a pretty creek. The owner has created a small 15 minute walking trail and there is a large lawn where kids can play away from the road.

The staff were so helpful with lots of great hints for things to do in the area, bright, cute place in an amazing location.

Équipement vieillot, lit très dur, m'a semblé un peu cher pour ce que c'était par rapport à d'autres habitations de la région (même si c'était le moins cher de la place).

Cute and clean motel conveniently located in between Cheticamp and the National Park - a great base to enjoy local hiking. The room was comfortable with air conditioning, a bar fridge and a full bathroom. The Cheticamp River runs beside the motel providing a refreshing place to stroll and dip your feet (or even swim!) on a hot day! The owners were very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is in a nice location close to a stream and walking trail. The room was clean, comfortable, and had easy access as we were able to drive up to the door. It is a short drive to Cheticamp. The owners live just accross the street, and were very friendly and williing to share information about the area. A very pleasant stay!

The property is outside of town but has a lovely area for walking through the woods and along the river. The room was clean and comfortable.

The owner was quite rude when we arrived a few minutes before check-in time. We were prepared to wait the 7 minutes until 3 pm and had just stepped out of the car to stretch after a long drive, but he was quite pointed in looking at his watch and asking quite scornfully, what time is it? Fortunately, his wife was more pleasant.

The parking lot on the back side is crushed stone and with a new motorcycle found it nerve-racking to try to turn my bike around on. it. This may be more about me than the property but almost parked down the way at the front building that was paved rather than risk bike on gravel. In the end I was fine on gravel just scary

Location was ok. Room was spacious. The rooms at the back of the motel faced a lovely garden.(ours didn’t)

Our room faced on to the highway so sitting outside wasn’t really ok. The room had a “funky” odor that didn’t go away even after having the windows open for hours. There was no coffee maker in the room and staff advised “it was because of the electrical” But there was a microwave and fridge so that made no sense. We had to literally cross the highway(the establishment straddles the highway) to get a coffee in the morning. There was no ice machine. When we asked in the morning for ice for our cooler we were given a tiny bag and were declined when we asked for more. Extremely disappointing as this was not particularly inexpensive. We booked beginning of February for June travels and didn’t get a particularly good price. DISAPPOINTING.

Great location at the gateway to Cape Breton. Short drive to town or Skyline walk.

The location and facilities were first rate. It was a haven after a long day’s driving and hiking. The welcome and information on arrival were appreciated as was the tranquility and space around our unit.

We had a great experience staying here! The room was clean and had a beautiful view of the river. Cathy and Greg also gave us a fantastic restaurant recommendation as well! We will be back in the future and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay on their travels.

Great people and good location

Location, as it's right on the edge of the park. And the owners are incredible, welcoming and helpful with information. Next, the rooms are super comfortable and clean. And finally, the property is immense and has the most charming trail to explore...oh and the price is incredibly reasonable.

This place is perfect to stay while exploring Chéticamp. It is perfectly located, very clean with everything you need. The hosts are very kind and responsive, we would definitely stay here if we come back.
