Reviewed Jul 15, 2026Quiet rural location, traditional ‘gite’ style accommodation, attractive grounds, with a jetty and delightful fresh water lake, free use of canoes and bikes other holiday ‘toys’ . Attentive and friendly host. Fabulous breakfast delivered to our door.
Not the fault of the property but it was unseasonably hot during our stay. Keeping the little house cool involved leaving window’s and doors wide open at night to get a through breeze. Fortunately a mosquito net was provided over the bed!

Teren w okół wieczorem sprawia, że chce się tam zostać, jest bardzo cicho, słychać świerszcze, jak na polskiej wsi 30 lat temu 😊 W domku jest bardzo czysto, codzienne podawane jest śniadanie wprost pod drzwi z pysznymi lokalnymi produktami, które wybiera się dzień wcześniej za pomocą aplikacji. Świetne rozwiązanie 😊 Łóżka są bardzo wygodne - spałam jak dziecko. Dla wszystkich zastanawiających się, czy będzie W tam dobrze, polecam z całego 🩷

Reviewed Jun 3, 2026Wir haben unsere Zeit bei Cerro da Fontanha sehr genossen. Die kleinen Steinhäuser sind einfach und rustikal, aber sauber und mit dem Nötigsten ausgestattet. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und das fantastische, frische und großzügige Frühstück hat jeden Morgen zu einem wunderbaren Start in den Tag beigetragen. Die Außenanlagen sind herrlich, es gibt viel Ruhe, Platz und unsere Kinder haben See, Hängematten, Schaukeln und den kleinen Rundweg geliebt. Miguel und sein Team sind exzellente, kinderliebe und überaus hilfsbereite Gastgeber und wir waren dankbar für die tollen Tipps und Empfehlungen - sei es zu traumhaften Buchten oder köstlichen Restaurants (die Besten auf unserer langen Reise). Die Gegend hat uns auch gut gefallen, man erreicht in kurzer Zeit viele schöne Orte. Wir sind sehr dankbar für unsere Zeit dort.
Nichts, es war wunderbar. Lediglich wäre eine zusätzliche Ablagefläche im Bad hilfreich, aber das hat nicht weiter gestört.

Reviewed May 19, 2026Ce domaine est un lieu magnifique, joliment entretenu et très apaisant. Le réveil matinal par une myriade d'oiseaux est juste un pur bonheur.La maison est parfaitement équipée, bien entretenu, avec une literie très confortable. Miguel est un hôte aimable et disponible. Il prends le temps de bien accueillir ses clients et d'expliquer les alentours en fonction de vos centres d'intérêts. Le personnel est très aimable et discret et propose de délicieux petits déjeuner.
Pour les amateurs de ciel étoile les lampes du jardin de nuit qui sécurisent les déplacements empêche le noir complet qui laisse place au etoiles. Des lampes avec détecteurs de mouvements seraient parfaites. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

It was a bit chilly inside but it was February and we did have heaters, hot water, fire prepared for us daily so we can’t complain about it at all!

And the breakfast, experience itsself. Night before we had to fill out paper what we want and then next morning for our chosen time they took breakfast to our room. It was very delicious and nicely served.

Para quem procura um ambiente rústico, confortável, rodeado de natureza, silêncio e paz, é este o lugar certo. Todos os detalhes são pensados para uma estadia perfeita. E o pequeno almoço? Digno de um rei. Vou regressar, de certeza! Recomendo muitíssimo.

À notre arrivée notre hôte a pris soin de nous orienter dans la région et nous faire d’excellente suggestion de restaurants. Il s’est montré plus discret par la suite.
Il faisait très chaud au moment de notre séjour fin juin. L’espace nuit ne recevait pas assez d’air pour être confortable.

As casas são muito bem cuidadas, com uma decoração alentejana cheia de pormenores e bom gosto. A nossa filha mais nova adorou o espaco exterior e as pranchas de bodyboard sempre disponíveis, para tardes bem aproveitadas na praia. Os pequenos almoços fantásticos no jardim todos os dias, com produtos frescos e de qualidade ( fruta, sumos naturais etc..) Fica aqui um obrigada e até breve!

The accommodation was very comfortable and the house was cleaned daily. The breakfast which was delivered to our house each morning was a lovely start to the day. Around the main house, the gardens and the natural lake are perfect to relax and enjoy the quiet nature. Miguel and Ana are extraordinary hosts, paying attention to all details and making us feel at home. Breakfast is just delicious. We have really enjoyed our short stay at Cerro da Fontinha!

I could not fault it. The host, and the staff were just the sweetest & most helpful people - they answered every single wish or want we had.
Nothing. The only thing to note is that you would need a car to get around. And although the host allows pets and is very welcoming to them, they must be leashed on the grounds of the premises.

It was creative, clean and a great size for 3 adults and the dog (with plenty of room for more). We loved the stay and will definitely be back. The breakfast was brilliant! It was easy to access beaches in all directions and the staff gave us great insight as to where to go and what to do. It was fabulous.
