Compared to our other stays in Sri Lanka, it was difficult to get transport, tuktuk or driver to next destination. Resulted in relative high prices for the transport.

Very friendly staff. We went here with two little kids and each day they do their best to play with them and be kind . Room is very big . Also breakfast is Nice .

Ambience was good. Staff especialy, Mr. Ajith and his wife, were very helpful.

Pool too small. Breakfast not upto mark. Could have added more fruits. Not having a restaurant made us travel out for lunch and dinner. Plumbing in the room needs to be taken care of. Water was not free flowing and the shower was not working.

Very relaxing place. Come for lazy days on the balcony or around the pool. Exceptional value. The host family are amazing. They also helped out of a logistical pickle at very short notice. Highly recommend.

It's a little out of the way (5min Tuktuk). You can easily walk it, but we had young kids with us so it wasn't really an option. It's not a bad thing, just FYI. We didn't eat breakfast at the homestay. Breakfast was $7USDpp which was about 2100LKR. That is a bit steep. However, the bread truck comes through every morning and afternoon with all your favourite Sri Lankan goodies. We spent about 500LKR for plenty of food every morning.

We booked the big deluxe room and the name is really acurate. The room is amazing, it is decorated with a lot of good taste and so comfortable, we loved it! The garden and pool are great also and its very quiet there, which is nice too. To get to beach you need a tuk tuk or scooter but thats worth it i think! Food was not so cheap compared to many other places we went to but good and tasty and homemade so in the end no complaint on that end. I would definately recommend the place after all!

Quiet, beautiful garden and relaxing pool

A little far from town. Had to use a Tuk Tuk if wanted to go out for dinner. Was able to use bikes to get around the countryside and to the beach

Hotel was quiet, I was the only guest for 4 nights! Little warm & clean pool. Room was large, foam comfy bed with decent pillows! Bathroom had hand towel, thin bath towel but no facecloth. Shampoo & body wash supplied. Kettle & cup set. No tea 🫖 bags or coffee. Owners are lovely, helpful & speak English. 20 mins from main road with lots of dogs so carry a stick or umbrella as I did so you have a defense against them! Far from restaurants, there are only 4 or 5 near the Bentota train station. I ate 3 days running at Happy Garden. Not the best option for eating out as you need a car to go anywhere after dark. I stayed in all 4 nights - had late lunches instead.

Location is far from the beach. 20 mins to the main road & then another 20-40 minutes to the main Bentota Beach where you can rent a sunbed & find a few restaurants. Barking dogs when walking the road & every night they wake you up, even with eRplugs!

Super friendly owners, very approachable and accommodating. Happy to recommend anytime. Sehr freundliches Management, super hilfsbereit. Sehr empfehlenswert .

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here. It was an oasis of calm and tranquility with the gorgeous pool and beautiful garden. The staff couldn’t do enough and the food was wonderful. They arranged our tuk tuks and transfer to our next destination. Top marks.

We spent here our first night in Sri lanka. They were very helpful, told us about Sri Lanka and places to visit. Also very clean and nice rooms.

Hotel excellent, service excellent, staff superb, room service everyday, what more can I say! Highly recommendable for a quiet vacation, an all round good find that I will definitely use again.

The staff were wonderful and much more helpful and friendly than the management. The room was wonderful and the food was good. It is further from the beach than other reviewers indicate but they have a very inexpensive tuk tuk service available. The pool is small but fits the bill when it is hot out and you don't want to go to the beach.
