Would have preferred hotel room
Everything food excellent, service excellent, spa excellent, rooms excellent, the places is beautiful
Breakfast is Superb and the Spa is wonderful.
Lovely staff Very clean Food really good
Very poor wifi for logging into our business accounts
The spa
Delivery charges
Resort is fabulous never disappoints
Dirty stain on carpet in living room and fridge wouldn't close properly..found out the hinge broken, just minor things that need attention but can make a big difference to appearance and perception
Amazing clean hut and very peaceful. Amazing mattress. Staff were lovely and great breakfast.
When we arrived we didn't know where to check in. There aren't enough sign posts around the carpark for how to go about to find each part.
Food was exceptional - particularly the breakfast. Thermal village also excellent. Staff (apart from recection) very friendly and clearly well trained
Room was a Superior Double and had NO wi-fi. 2-3Mbps; so, essentially good for nothing. Even though the weather was overcast and raining, the room was hot and stuffy. We were given 2 fans and slept with the balcony door open. The room was disappointing and the response we got from staff at reception was certainly underwhelming. We wondered if we were given the worst room in the hotel because we used Booking.com??? Anyway, we suggested that we be given another room and we were informed, bluntly, by the Night Manager that there was nothing available. We were made to feel like we were "chancers" even though our complaints about the room (and there were 2 other issues as well as the wi-fi and room temperature) were absolutely legitimate
I really enjoyed my first time at Galgorm. The venue was absolutely lovely and made the wedding feel really special. The cabin was perfect for what we needed and was comfortable for an overnight stay. I also really enjoyed using the spa the morning after the wedding — it was the perfect way to relax and unwind after the celebrations. Breakfast options were amazing.
Although I really enjoyed my stay, there were a few things that I felt could have been better. The wedding courses weren’t as spectacular as I had expected, and there was a continuous water/heater or tank noise in Cabin 6 throughout the night. As we were there for the wedding, I also didn’t get much opportunity to enjoy the hot tub outside the cabin. I would have loved more time in the Thermal Spa, but having to set an alarm for 8am to make the most of it and then check out by 11am made the experience feel quite rushed. The food on day two of the wedding was also disappointing, with some dishes being raw and either sent back or left uneaten. Finally, it was disheartening to see that family members staying in the hotel rooms and cottages received snacks and drinks, while the cabins didn’t seem to receive anything similar, especially considering the amount paid for the stay.
Clean , comfortable and compact what was in the cottage would certainly go back!

The spa are across the garden was nice and enjoyable. Like the free ice lollies!
Disappointing and Not Five Star Unfortunately, the accommodation fell well below the standard I would expect from a supposedly five star hotel, particularly given the price. The room was very basic and smelled musty rather than fresh when we entered. There was no mattress protector on the bed, and when I caught a glimpse of the mattress, it appeared stained and dirty. It was also uncomfortable to sleep on. I also found that the majority of the staff were not particularly warm or friendly. As someone who travels frequently, I can confidently say that the overall experience was not up to five star standards and certainly did not represent value for money.
The spa is absolutely incredible and the beds are so comfy. I 100% recommend.

Breakfast was 10 out of 10
The weather 😉
I loved the location in the forest near the river, where was peace and quiet. The bunnies were a sweet attraction, it was amazing to watch them.
Nothing
It was so nice and relaxing
The food and alcohol were quite expensive
We stayed in a Forrest Den, it was private quirky and calm.. We had a sauna and outside bath.. lots of wildlife squirrels, wrens etc...
No beer in the mini bar, evefything else, wine, spirits, minerals but only no beer...very strange
Very comfortable and we had the luxury of having our own space .
Unfortunately, we mistakenly thought it would be more child friendly. The time limits at the swimming pool were quite restrictive we thought. We are used to more flexibility, possibly too in that sense. Overall, your venue and staff were very welcoming and helpful and did their absolute best to include our children.
Świetne miejsce do odpoczynku i spa. Pub, kilka restauracji wszystko na terenie hotelu. Pokój czysty i duży.
Loved the hotel was a great stay
They did charge us for the room when we got there again, it was a mix up we didn’t realise we had paid and when I checked bank account the money had come out, the receptionist explained it was a problem on their system but refunded the money quickly so wasn’t too much of an inconvenience
Shepherds Hut accommodation was amazing, such a cosy little cabin and lovely location. Spa facilities were superb, staff super friendly and food/drinks great.
Cocktails are on the expensive side.
Everything was nice just didn't really get to experience it as I wanted because my sister stepped in the shower and slipped and broke her wrist
Loose tiles all over the indoor pool. Food in gilles was bad
Attention to detail we couldn't fault. Nothing was any trouble for the staff who always had a smile for you We stayed in a Shepherds hut and it was amazing. The spa had everything and the private outdoor bath is a must.
The Guinness could of been nicer.
Almost everything
Prices of drink and food were extortionate
The spa facilities are absolutely amazing! We stayed in the one bed cottage which was lovely and had a complimentary few treats and drinks which were a nice touch!
It’s expensive, overpriced in my opinion. You’re looking at €20 for a single drink at the spa. We asked for an hour later than normal check out time and had to pay €35 extra. The cottage had two single beds pushed together which was annoying as you expect a double when you’re there as a couple.
The log cabin was lovely, great size for our large family, We got a take away provided by the hotel, very quick service, easy to order The Breakfast was in the main hotel, delicious
there were areas of the spa that felt a little run down, some maintenance needed, outside walls needs freshened up.
Stayed in one of the huts. Really cosy and private.
I liked the feeling of luxury throughout and the ambience of the Gillies Restaurant. All staff we encountered were customer-focussed and were great ambassadors for the Galgorm.
I booked the Castle kitchen restaurant in advance of my stay for dinner, and did not realize this was off-site. I do not think this was made clear at the time of booking. When I realized my mistake, I changed our booking to an onsite Restaurant (Gillies).
Lovely all round the hotel and spa
There was a person giving the staff a hard time about his steaks
The hut was amazing the staff were lovely
Food was terrible and dinks all over priced everything just over priced
The spa
Nothing
We were staying in a Shepherd's Hut & went to Lodge reception & were well looked after by the fabulous Tiff! She helped keep the surprise of the exact lodging secret form my wife LOL Within a few minutes we were ready to avail of the Spa until our hut was ready a couple of hours later. The spa has a great variety of saunas, various tubs, quiet areas etc. When it was time to check-in we walked from Spa Reception who had our key to our hut, car had already been taken to it. My wife was blown away especially by the bath! The Shepherd's Hut is cosy and all our private with a decent bit of space between them for privacy which was exemplified after dinner when we sat out with the firepit lit for a while. You have a mini-fridge with some goodies. The bed was very comfy, the shower was excellent. There is a tv in the main living area & at the foot of the bed. We ate in Gillies Grill that evening - WOW!! Compressed Pineapple - fresh n zingy.... i had the steak tartare & my wife had the charred peach & burrata salad that were lovely. Main was the lamb - best lamb dish I have eaten! & we were able to have dessert - I had 'rhubarb tart' my wife had the chocolate/vanilla mousse. The staff were friendly, attentive & helpful. Breakfast after a great sleep was also in Gillies...a tremendous choice of Continental - Crushed Oats were super! There is also a great selection from the hot section too with chefs constantly adding poached eggs, baked beans to the various meats available. For our 5th Wedding Anniversary I wanted somewhere that extra bit special & got it....we will be back
NOTHING!!
The forest den was lovely and woodpecker takeaway was 1st class.
The price of drink is very expensive and even worse in the spa. Also didnt like that I couldn't get a pint till after 4 o'clock.
I liked it all.... Sensational
Dinner menu the same 2 nights in row
Breakfast is the best ive ever had... beds and duvets are so comfortable, had the best nights sleep ... amazing stay with friends and will definitely stay again
Idyllic surroundings
Would have loved a quiet room to sit in at spa area with gentle music and tranquility
Shepherds hut had everything you might want. Great shower, heat and facilities.
Nothing we didn’t like about the shepherds hut
I liked the shepards hut we stayed in it was just fabulous. I loved how clean and comfortable it was and had everything you could ask for and more. We ordered food to the hut and it arrived almost immediately. The staff were all very nice and helpful and the Thermal village was very good also.Had a very relaxing enjoyable stay.
The only thing I found slightly difficult was the lay out of the place and where everything was.. I feel it's somewhere I'd find easier to get around the second time I'd go back.
The staff
Too many people at some points
I previously stayed in hotel, and loved it The decor and bedrooms were lovely but lodge is something you’d expect at a Butlins camp
There is photos of sofa in lodge below. Only pegs to hang clothes on in 2 bedrooms and decor shabby. Hot tub didn’t work, check in delayed too Still waiting on call from manager from 12th June
Everything!
Nothing
Lots of space, well maintained, clean and good for self catering.
Bad smell from bathroom
It’s a very special place worth the 5 hour drive from Wexford. The couples mud ritual was bliss
Our wood fired bath wasn’t working
The property is well maintained and easy to access.
I asked for shuttle service from the Den and was waiting about an hour for the bus to arrive and it never appeared.Next I got a phone call from receptionist saying that we need to walk to the bridge where shuttle service is waiting for us.In lashing conditions we took our bag and walked to meet up with service.NOBODY was there. We were both completely soaked!!once I got to the lobby I was told that the bus waited for us and drove away because we didn’t come!!!!absolute joke!!Like why you didn’t phone to check up on us?knowing the fact we were walking in rain!!very poor customer service. This happened on the 3rd of June just after 8 o’clock in the morning.
The facilities were beautiful and the landscaping was amazing, having the spa in the forest was a really nice touch and the breakfast was a 10.
The log cabins where we stayed seemed a bit dated and were very basic
Beautiful property and very easily accessible
Nothing
Everything was more than amazing from the beautiful nature and exceptional service to every little detail in the hut and the spa!
The Alpine Bar offers a nice experience of having cocktails in the hot pools though it comes at a fairly high cost.
Good breakfast Friendly staff Very comfortable bed Good spa with views of forest and river from steam and sauna although a salt floatation pool like they have at Nirvana Spa would make it world Class! Beautiful view from decking - we could watch the bunny rabbits and birds with no disturbance - nice fire in the hut and fire pit - the rug was a nice touch for Chilly evenings
More Healthy food options at dinner would improve our scores - shower was excellent but basin and toilet seat need attention - would Be good to have moisturiser in room as we were Travelling hand luggage only and as it said toiletries included I assumed there would Be a small Body moisturiser which is necessary after the lovely spa!
Great works expanding the spa area, absolute dreamland for relaxation.
Really nailed it this time round, fantastic altogether.
Usual great Galgorm experience
The shepherd hut had minor issues. Reported to management, they promptly offered to change our accommodation. We declined because we were already settled, but still appreciated the offer
Location and comfort. Food also was unreal.
Price of cocktails is ridiculous to be fair.
A wonderful experience and perfect way to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary in the forest den
Nothing
Really good beautiful setting , staff are excellent
Nothing
The Thermal Village and 2 treatments by a great therapist, the helpful and friendly staff throughout especially the concierge staff, the conservatory setting for breakfast and the grounds/river views
The Shepherds Hut where i stayed for 2 nights was in an idyllic setting and was very well equipped and an easy walk to Thermal Village HOWEVER as I paid quite a bit for my stay I was disappointed to find no hot water either indoors or the outdoor copper tub A call to reception and 2 helpful maintenance men called and fixed a problem with the boiler..OK things happen My 2nd day after a full relaxing day at the Thermal village I returned and intended to get ready for my evening out the Same thing happened again..same maintenance men fixed the same problem and apologised When I got back after my evening meal it was quite cold and I thought I'd put on the heating only to find it wasn't working but at this stage I did not call reception, these things just put a damper on my stay and would not have expected it in such a place as for me it was quite costly.
The property is exceptionally clean and comfortable.
The spa facilities were over crowded.
Spotless

All good

The staff, as always, were friendly, helpful, and courteous. The food was amazing.
The rain was disappointing but plenty to do unsee cover while it rained for a period.
new additions to the spa were excellent
our lodge was one of the older ones and a noticeable downgrade on the newer ones that we have stayed in before. a little grubby around the edges. also bed was made up for a twin rather than a double which they quickly rectified. staff at the outside bar were rude. hotel guests got free branded water bottles & lodge guest had to pay over £3 for one. Breakfast set up wasn’t as good either as they no longer self serve juice, no muffins and a smaller selection of continental options. kept waiting a long time at check in for breakfast also with no acknowledgment
Gillies restaurant food was disappointed
Amazing facilities that get better every time we go back. Breakfast amazing, Afternoon tea was delicious, dinner at The Castle top notch, first class chateaubriand, lovely wine and excellent service. Live music every night and lively bar with great atmosphere. Stayed in a Forest Den for the first time and it was brilliant. Spa facilities amazing with beers and delicious cocktails in the outdoor tubs. Cant wait until my next visit.
Everything
Nothing we didn’t enjoy
Everything was exceptional, the facilities in the spa were endless, staff were so friendly, the little taxi bus to ferry us about from our cottage to the spa and to breakfast was a brilliant touch, the breakfast was devine, anything you could think of was available at the buffet breakfast
I couldn't find fault in anything
Room, Spa, staff & breakfast all excellent, the hotels off site restaurant via the complementary shuttle bus is excellent
The on-site restaurant wasn't the best food nor the level of choice and let the hotel down, also considering the overall stay cost, the food and drinks are way way over priced.
The cottages, the decor and spa facilities
The price of the beverages at the thermal village. Very expensive.
Staff were so friendly and helpful..They couldn't do enough for us..Fabulous people..
Our stay was spectacular from beginning to end breakfast was amazing service every area was brilliant!!We stayed in the shepherds hut it was way more they’re expected absolutely beautiful the decor, comfort of the beds and the outdoor bath amazing !!We stayed here often but this was the first time we stayed in the shepherds hut we will definitely stay here again !!!!
