Cedar House Restaurant & Chalets

We had a wonderful time here. Spacious and in a beautiful location with wonderful views over the valley (including from the hot tub) but outside the bustle of central Golden. Our host was very helpful.

The house was very clean and cozy. The view was spectacular. The property office folks were very friendly.

It was beautiful and quiet, the perfect spot to stay with our dogs and relax after a good Mtn bike. We will be back!

should add the pictures of blood on our pillow and the sofa bed had crumbs and slices of apple. Filthy rugs our baby could not sit on it, NEVER again So sad, no restaurant and the place needs major upgrades.

Absolutely perfect stay in Golden! Cabin was nice and clean, comfy bed, fireplace and hotub was fabulous and quiet serenity was wonderful! If your a coffee drinker and want to relax in morning be sure to bring your own..pot was provided but no coffee. Went to local grocery and solved that, but for price overall nice place to relax and enjoy!

Beautiful lodge especially having hot tub

No indication it was a "self-check in" so we had to try to fin the office and then when we did it was closed. Eventually found the check in info was in a mailbox. Then, despite being in the name, the restaurant was permanently closed, so no food on day 1.

The cabin was super clean and ready for us. They have everything you need: toiletries, robes for the hot tub, chopped wood for the wood stove, stocked kitchen, movies, games, books. There wasn't anything we needed that wasn't already there. Easy check in and check out. The property is quiet and the mountain views are amazing.

Reslly love this place,second stay. We were put in dragonfly due to construction nesr our original choice and that was ok but we had stayed in it two years previouse so were a bit sad to not have a different place. The only down side is the couch in it is awful, my husband said he would rather buy them a new couch than pay the rate lol. That being said it is super private, well equipt and the private hot tub is just amazing. We will be returning annually.

Good location and facility. Internet was not working for entire stay and management failed to respond to a request for an ETA on resolution.

Stayed in Adventure Cabin. The best part of the cabin is the private outdoor hot tub! I'm not a fan of communal hot tubs at large ski resorts and hotels. Other than the hot tub, the cabin needs serious updates. The furniture, linens, cookware, fixtures, and accessories are seriously worn down and dated. We did not enjoy how the hot tub cover didn't come down thus blocking the view of the mountains. The manager, Chelsea, was very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. She also brought us extra towels / linens quickly when we requested them. Overall an OK experience. Not extremely motivated to book another stay unless the property undergoes some updates.

We had a great stay. Beautiful nature and view from the house is absolutely amazing. The house has such a warm and inviting feeling that you don't want to leave.

The personal hot tub was the absolute best part of the property!

Lovely, clean, well appointed chalets and beautiful views make this property a top choice when visiting the Golden area. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Cedar House Chalets and plan to stay here again in the future!

Great quiet location feeling like in the woods. Loved lying in the hot tub watching the surrounds in private. Chalet was comfortable, but dark inside. Elderly people may have a difficult time getting to the loft bed. Staff were very friendly and gave us some useful travel tips

Beautiful views and clean

We loved the quietness, the deck with hottub and bbq. The beds were extremely comfortable. Our family was able to spread out and enjoy the unit.

Quite cabin on quiet drive overlooking mountains. We enjoyed the full size kitchen, hot tub, and fireplace. Good amenities, and located not far from town.

Perfect place for a relaxing weekend away from everything. The wood burning fireplace & private Hot tub were incredible. Very clean & staff were great.

The pictures do not do justice of how beautiful and tranquility of the location of the cabin. As well, how clean and comfortable the cabin is. It beat our expectations. Can’t wait to plan another trip. Only place we would stay in Golden.

The place had a stunning view with the jacuzzi and was very pleasant. However some of the amenities listed are not working such as the iPod dock, and upstairs Heater. Overall it was a great stay and would highly recommend.

Garden chalet was huge and the private hot tub and fireplace is the main draw!

I stayed in the Sunflower chalet. It was away from the other chalet’s, nice and private. Amazing view of the mountains. The chalet was really nice and the bed in the bedroom by the kitchen was super plush and comfy. I’ll definitely be back again!

Such a hidden gem! This is the perfect place if you want to get away from big cities and enjoy a luxury cabin experience! The private hot tub was amazing! Even our dog had a great time! Perfect trails close by for hiking or biking! Will stay here over and over again! Everyone who works there is extremely friendly.

We were suppose to go to Mexico but had to cancel because of the corona virus so set out to find a cabin in the woods with a private hot tub and wood burning fireplace and found exactly that! Loved the Sunflower cabin and beautiful scenery. We took advantage of the free use of the snowshoes and had a lovely time. It was a great place to getaway and put our minds at ease. Will definitely go back and try the other cabins. It would be beautiful to see in the summer!

The chalet was amazing! They didn't forget anything.The mountains were also amazing! Incredible views and fresh air. If you enjoy peace and quiet, privacy and your own hot tub, this is the place. We will definitely be back :)

We really enjoyed the chalet the place was as advertised. However, we stayed in the sun suite which was the basement suite and during the night I could hear the people upstairs late at night and could not get a restful sleep. It would have been nice to know it was a basement suite as it was easy to hear the noise upstairs.

Second time staying at the Cedar House and again we had a wonderful time. The mountain view chalet had everything you need to have an incredible stay and the views are out of this world. Loved taking in the views from the private hot tub. Can’t wait to return!

Amazing place, very clean & comfortable. We only stayed 1 night but used the restaurant & hot tub which were both added bonuses. Would stay here again & recommend!

My goodness, what a great find! As we drove up the road to the Cedar House we were concerned about the area since it looked rather sketchy. But once we got there and into our chalet, it went waay beyond our expectations. Extremely quiet with wonderful amenities - the gas grill ready to cook on, fire place ready to start and hot tub just waiting for us to jump in and relax to enjoy the beautiful view! Of course the staff extremely friendly!

Awesome place. The room is large, well maintained and very clean. We stayed in the Garden Chalet, the loft room was a little bit hot at night because it was near the ceiling, but an AC was provided. We also dined in the restaurant and the food was perfect - my husband said it was the best meal he ever tasted.

Absolutely wonderful. They thought about everything. We will definitely be back to try other chalets too. Would highly recommmend anyone thinking of staying there

These cabin were stunning with top notch attention to detail. The grounds and views were so beautiful. We felt like we got back in touch with nature and enjoyed the peaceful, serene surroundings. What an amazing location.

Beautiful property located close to Golden. We had a family of five, with a 3 bedroom, lovely house. Staff were all very friendly and the restaurant was very good. A title expensive for children but a good place for couples. Only problem was that there was only one air conditioner upstairs in the master suite. The two bedrooms on the main floor had only fans. With 97 degree temperatures, this meant that the three kids all slept in our room! Could have saved money and just got a one bedroom. Kinda defeated the purpose of having a three bedroom house! Unfortunately, we couldn’t wait to leave! Had the air conditioner downstairs worked I would have rated this place much higher!

Views were outstanding. As were the hosts. A great, quiet, beautiful rest spot. The restaurant is a must! You can feel the care and love that only a local ,on the ground owner can provide.

Solid deck railing was not too pleasing, you cant see the view while sitting on patio table. Bathtub is very slippery ,be careful. No dishwasher and they expect to wash dishes and stack them. You can get better value for your buck at other locations.

My friends and I rented the Garden Chalet and it was fabulous!! The view was amazing, the hot tub was perfect after a long day of skiing and the space was superb. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was so clean!! Highly recommend!! Only regret was not making it for a meal at the restaurant.

Like: eye appeal, fit and fixtures, Unlike: Drive up (but did not use "back way." in new snow conditions); Privacy in Living room - "see through" curtains, Too few places for towels, Bathroom shower curtain "unique" Bed room: lack of privacy due to glass door. Living room user has to transit bed room to use bathroom.

Washer and dryer in the cabin.Bbq on the deck and a good size hot tub to soak in after a long days drive.
