This hotel is great, we went in winter, it’s very convenient, very close to the park and to the city as well, we received many instructions and a warm welcome on check in, had a nice stay and night of sleep, we will return in the season.
The stay was great. I’ll definitely stay here again if I’m in the area.
Really enjoyed my stay, comfortable, clean, and welcoming.
Very comfortable and pleasant stay. We liked the large updated rooms. Lot of parking.
The owner was very
Arrowhead Inn use to be a good place to stay while skiing. Unfortunately it’s looking a little well loved. The sheets don’t fit the beds, the coverlets aren’t as fresh as they use to be and the ceiling in the bathroom looks like it needs a clean and a coat of paint. The rooms were warm and the people are friendly. It just needs some sprucing up.
It is in a nice, spot right near Arrowhead park. However, the bed was very uncomfortable, the room smelled strange and the room was very cold. We were also disappointed that the check-in host was not very knowledgeable about the area or restaurants in town.
Having the kitchenette was good but outdated and needs to be replaced. Check in is inconvenient. You have to go across the street to another inn and then back when returning the key. The beds are solid rocks but at least it was quiet
Room door lock was broken! Couldn't lock it!
high price, poor facility and poor serve
The position of the Inn is good, close to Hwy 11 and to Arrowhead Provincial Park. However, it is poorly maintained, it looks run down, beginning with the sign in front of the inn and the surrounding. The toilet system is rusty with lots of noie, the towels were old and stained, no garbage can in the washroom, the Tv was not working. Definitely a place we won't be staying if we go back to the area.
Very disappointed. We checked in , we’re assigned a room and got keys to the room. We unlocked the door to find the room was already occupied with someone’s belongings. Their Office is not in same facility. We called Staff over phone and they apologized that they had to give our allotted room to someone else. They allotted us another room, very substandard room. Full of dingy smell, queen mattress was somehow mounted on a twin bed, mould in the washrooms, improper working thermostat, internal door lock hinge broken, signs of water leakage. We were charged $170.0 ( non peak summer vacation ) . We couldn’t have proper sleep and it took joy out of our trip. We rushed out as early as we could early in the morning. Wouldn’t revisit or recommend it ever..
Quiet and good location
We are overall disappointed with this inn. They have issues with water pressure and consistency. We had trouble with flushing the toilet, and there was water on the floor by the toilet. The barbecue didn’t function properly. Also, they gave us the bare minimum in supplies (toilet paper, towels, coffee). Some good things about this inn are that the mattress was good, the curtains blocked out the light at night, and the TV, microwave and coffee-maker worked.
When we arrived the office at Arrowhead Inn it was closed and had a sign on the door to cross the highway to the Tulip Hotel. That office had an "open" sign on the door but it was locked and no one was in attendance. After pressing the phone button to the side of the door, and quite a few rings the attendants showed up. We got our key and went back to the Arrowhead Inn. While it looked very neat and tidy at first glance, the bathroom wasn't the cleanest, the rug was stained and the TV was not working. When we left the next morning, the office was closed and we just left our key in the box outside the door. Could not get our receipt. Two stars at best.
This place is just awful and should not be a part of Hotels.com The place is not clean and has mold in the shower stall and corners of the washroom. With this, blankets have holes in them and the beds are not very comfortable. Overall this place is a dump!!!! If you would like pictures I can send them upon request.
DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE.I had booked this property thru Expedia , I think someone at Expedia may want to review the properties they advertise , based on the photos , I booked a room, its a run down motel .not an inn, first impressions was of over grown weeds in the garden, I went to the office and its locked, you have to go across the road to another motel to check in, I took this opportunity to check the motel , 2 rooms had doors open and they smelt bad, also a great opportunity for rodents to enter your rooms. The pictures on the website must of have been taken 15-20 years ago, DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE, Expedia should not be associated with a place like this. I did not stay here
This property is very dated and has a bad smell. Everything is done to the cheapest possible extent. No thought is put into making it an enjoyable experience. Weird stain in bathtub, wobbly fixtures, blanket with burn holes, silverfish bugs, could barely see through the window it was so dirty.
Our stay was ok but we didn’t like that the office was closed and you had to cross the street to get service. Clean towels were promised but never provided until I brought the soiled ones to them. Our tv didn’t work. The manager did come and fix it but he never told us how to shut it off. We had to have him in again. We were asked to use a lamp with the knob missing and plug and unplug it as needed. I don’t think that is up to code. The grout in the shower needs disparate cleaning. Property needs updating to be able to charge these prices.
The photos this place has on the expedia are NOTHING like the actual rooms. Very disappointing. Seemed clean though, so that was the only good thing…however the sheets are dingy looking and need an upgrade for the amount of money charged to stay here.
Close to park, clean.
The best thing about this motel is the shocking resemblance to the Rosebud Motel from Schitt$ Creek!! Seriously! Not clean, not nice, but you can reserve just one night on a long weekend, so there's that.
Its ok
Not fantastic. Place to stay if there is nothing else.
Great location, quiet. The room was clean and have all that you need.
Amazing stay
Take your money and run, don’t get fooled by the pictures since they stem from the 70’s when that place has been cleaned and updated last! The room was filthy and the stench almost unbearable, it smelled like some back alley in ChinaTown. No playground, the sidewalk in front of the room had giant holes in it, the bathroom and plumbing beyond disgusting! Maybe God shows mercy and sends a tornado…
Nice
( ) The price was reasonable, easy parking, access to many activities in the area, comfortable bed. (-) In 5 days garbage was never picked up and I had to ask for towels twice. The water in the bathroom sink had very little pressure.
After I checked in, the first room I was given was not very nice. Smelled like smoke, tons of mosquitos, etc. I was not pleased, but when I went to the front desk to complain, they immediately gave me a new room, no hassle at all. The new room was clean, no smoke smell, no mosquitos etc. I appreciate the hotel's quick response and no hassle. Things happen, and it made a big difference to have Arrowhead fix it so quickly.
Nice location
Rooms are inexpensive and pretty average but no complaints, and are surprisingly good at blocking out highway noise. Arrowhead Provincial Park entrance is right next door and shopping, food etc is available in a mall a 5-minute drive away. Town of Huntsville not much farther.
My main two complaints would be: 1-the lack of security in the sliding windows; 2-the grout between the tiles in the shower had mildew (easily remedied with bleach spray or tea tree oil). The staff were always pleasant and ready to be helpful, smiling and asking if anything was needed. The grounds are mowed, flowers and chairs around and am overall relaxing atmosphere. The beds were medium (not squishy soft and not hard), pillows abundant and varied seating. I wish there had been a hot plate but other than that, lovely and roomy quarters. Recommend
It was my first experience, my kids were happy playing around in the park. We enjoy the peaceful environment….😊
Extra space
property full of garbage, front of property is a uhaul depot, and unresponsive staff. wont stay there again.
Cheap and adequate
The place wasn’t prepared for family
Dirty and smelly room. I mean really dirty, nobody vacuumed the before I got there. I arrived at 3:30pm and someone told me to come back later to check-in. The towels were dirty. Washroom light bulb was burnt. No room service. Terrible experience. Please, tale this place out of Expedia. It's not a place to be an option for the website.
The exceptional disposition of the staff more than makes up for the short comings of the property. Well worth the money as the scenery is breathtaking. I’ll be coming back
It is well-located for accessing Arrowhead Provincial Park.
This was great value for the money. This property is not trying to compete with the expensive resorts of the area. Instead, for a very low price, the bed was comfortable, the room was warm, and the location was very convenient. It was close to Highway 11, which gave easy access to Arrowhead Provincial Park, and the highway to get to Algonquin Provincial Park. I would stay here again if I was interested in either of those parks. One thing to be aware of when booking: The photo of the hotel was not an accurate representation of our room. I thought that the photo showed the 'standard' room, but if I had read the description, I would have seen that a standard room is not two double beds (like what is shown); instead, it is one queen-sized bed.
We go every year and you cannot beat the price. They also allow pets which is awesome and the owner is always soooo nice.
The room was not very clean. Trim fell off door when we walked in... coffee maker was not cleaned...shower doors were not in there track....dead bolt lock was on table not installed. This was such a nice place to go years back with family....awesome location next to Arrowhead park...hopefully they will make improvements😊
Very dirty- everything: towels, bedfings, mold in the coffe machine. Better to pay a little bit more and stay somewhere else.
The room didn't look anything like the photos. It wasn't clean - I kept finding strands of hair around the room. The bed was uncomfortable and small. Definitely over priced for what you get. Only selling point is it's proximity to Arrowhead Park
Liked: Location, easy check in. Disliked: Room was misrepresented they was no couch in our room
The room was clean and everything worked. The staff was helpful and friendly.
The place can definitely use some TLC, but that's to be expected for the price we paid.
Rooms are not as depicted. Stained carpet and furniture. Dirt in corners and between couch cushions. Bloody snot on pillowcases. Only two hand towels. Requested clean linens and it took 4 hours to get them. Surfaces had been swiped but not cleaned and streaky.
Right next to the ArriwHead park. Very convenient if you have small kids and still want to do camping. The staff are great, very responsive and friendly.
You get what you pay for...decided to stay here for the close proximity to Arrowhead Provincial Park with the family. The price was great for a family on a budget and the photos looked good. However, the suite had no hot water, no towels, not very clean. The kitchen had no heat, ended up using the oven to heat that area. Wallpaper was peeling, mold in the bathroom...I could go on and on. The only thing I can say that was good was that they let us check in early without penalty, and the sheets were clean. But overall, I would not recommend, and will definitely be staying somewhere nicer next time.
Very quite and comfortable place to stay. Close to the hi way.
Really good room. More sq ft in decent price. Living and bedroom are separate. Enjoyed being there.
Everything was great considering the prices except the endless noises from the flowing traffic
An older motel property with the host on site.and willing to address any needs or requests quickly. Fresh linen and towels provided , fairly clean other than a few dust bunnies around the baseboards and tile grout needs to be cleaned
A run-down property, not worth the money.
It is the nearest location to Arrowhead Provincial Park entrance, which is really good. But it is next to the noisy highway 11. The room size of comfort room is good but the property is old refurbished. The staff Dhruv is really humble and just a call away and always up on his toes to serve the guests in need. The bed can't have bedbugs as it has base of a metal but at the same time it makes noise when one moves even gently.
A clean place with nice amenities and friendly staff service
The Inn is very close to Arrowhead Provincial Park which is the only advantage. There is only 1 person working there as the front desk and also cleaning the room. It took him quite a few mins to come to greet us as he was cleaning the room. He gave us the towels and 1 coffee later. The worst thing was the power went off 2 times which never happened to me. I had to turn off air-cond and used only one electric device at a time. The room was not clean and I had to wipe clean a bit to feel safe. The lawn chairs are nice in the front yard.
Nice stay, worth the value. It is just 2 min from highway 60 where you can see the fall. Food, gas all close by. Nice location. Manger Dhruv is very helpful during our stay
While the hotel itself is a fine enough place, I was still disappointed with it. First, the condition of the room was fair, dated, not like the photos suggest. Second, the bed was VERY uncomfortable. I found myself hating that it was bedtime on our second night because the first night was so uncomfortable. Third, the staff were not present or available. At checkout I went to the office, during posted hours, and still had to call someone to come meet us. They just told us to leave the key in the drop box and so I did not get a receipt. I will say the TV service was surprisingly good, with on demand options through Bell. The hotel was also in an accessible location, right off Highway 11 and close to Highway 60. If I absolutely had to stay there again I suppose I would, but it's definitely not at the top of my list should we return to the area, which we frequently do.
Very stinky room upon arrival after I complained they arange us another room in another motel across the street very bad experience.we stayed this place last year was ok but new management sucks
Room too hot. Soap and towels not provided. TV too difficult to manage. Only positive is that the host responded to my complaints quickly.
Had severe back pain both nights of my stay. The bed was very hard, and the pillows uncomfortable. Too mediocre for the premium price.
Manager was the only staff to do everything. Service was adequate. Cleanliness not up to par. Carpets need changing. Couch stained. Freezer needed major defrosting. Had to run hot water in tub to get hot water in the sinks. Overspilled garbage left at entrance. Cigarette butts all over the front exterior at room doors.
I stayed in Arrowhead inn with my family. My kids enjoyed the place. Quite and safe for kids. 2mins drive to Arrowhead provincial park! The room is spacious, it’s not super clean but acceptable. 6 mins drive to Walmart and restaurants. The best place to stay if you are going to Arrowhead park!
Had difficulty locking room door (definitely had me concerned). Not everything was clean (i.e microwave was visibly dirty), but general cleanliness was good. Not far from a gas station or Walmart for essential stuff you may need. But staff was friendly.
The man at receprion was helpful with providing needed items. Disappointed the hotel advertises a full breakfast but none was available. Unhappy with the cleanliness of the shower. The bed and pillow left a lot to be desired. The ac in the room is effective but so loud. It ran for so long to lower the room by even 1 degree.
The property is convenient to park right your door, clean and cozy, will book again to stay.
Despite advanced booking, the owners did not have the room ready on arrival. The room was closed up and hot. We had a three man group in a three bed room but there was only one towel, one coffee pod and no cream or sugar. No ice was available until they brought some from their personal al kitchen. Although fine to help when asked, we felt these issues should have been resolved before we arrived.
The motel is very old, need an immediate upgrade.
Con’s - Garbage was left in the room when we arrived - Sink barely drained Pro’s - Staff was nice and checked us in even though we arrived 30min past the check in time
Room had clearly not been vacuumed as there was visible debris on the floor. The bedding was askew and the bed was sloppily made, leaving us wondering. There was hair in the shower and the table provided had something sticky on it. The person who checked us in was not following any pandemic protocols as they were not wearing a mask and there were no barriers or hand sanitizer, even when you had to sign paperwork. In a double occupancy room we had only one hand towel and one shower towel and the shower towel had a massive hole in it. There was no shower mat given. Complimentary coffee was advertised, however there wasn’t any coffee provided. We could have, however, brewed used coffee pod of the previous occupant which was left in the machine. The mattress was truly awful and the pillows were flat and useless. On the bright side this awful experience made our stay in the Algonquin Backcountry feel like a luxury resort.
Nice basic accommodations. Clean.
Huge room, AC, exactly what my kids and I needed. The bbqs were great.
Well maintained, clean
Room was clean and tidy, but lights are old and some were malfunction.
Very basic room. Quite spacious. I liked the fire pit and BBQ options.
It was fine for the price.
We liked the fact it was super close to Arrowhead Provincial Park as advertised. The Inn is quite dated, our room was not clean. Very disappointed in the amount of money we paid for poor quality. Pictures on website are not current.
The owner was very nice but it was only him so not much presence or services available because of this.
Very sweet little Inn. Great for the price. Was very clean, and quiet
Yhe room in the advertised photo does not represent this room. It looks like a double bed versus an expected queen. Upon arrival, we had no face clothes, hand towels, no coffee cups, no coffee. There are dead bugs in the window sill, the bathroom floor does not look like it had been washed, a light bulb was burned out and the only plastic cup was soaking wet sitting in water. During covid, we were expecting a higher standard of cleanliness especially at $180 for the night. We were really disappointed.
Very quaint motel! Friendly and accommodating staff. Nothing fancy but the rooms were clean and more than suited our needs. Would recommend if you like to stay in roadside motels.
There was no coffee maker in the room. No ice machine anywhere. The towel bar fell off the wall in the first 10 minutes. The drain in the sink was VERY slow. There was no bath mat to step out of the shower onto. There was rotted baseboard next to the tub. What do you have to pay to get a motel mid week that isn't a dump?
Spacious, good price, very near to Arrowhead Prov parkand the receptionist/attendant is very, nice person, very accommodating. I even got a call the day before for our coming stay asking me if i have any questions, request, time of check-in. Overall i am so satisfied and highly recommend Arrowhead inn.
Very clean and spacious rooms. Check in was readily quick and easy. Very close to all kinds of great things to do
After reading great reviews, we booked this property for a one-nighter. Driving up, we were reminded of the Rosebud Motel in Schitt's Creek - looked a little sketchy. We were disappointed that they had double-booked the room we wanted so we were offered a similar room for a great price. However we didn't even unpack our car after watching the other patrons' (sketchy) behaviour. We did not feel safe, so had to cancel and move on. The host was fabulous, kind and apologetic.
Room was newly renovated and very clean. We came up frequently this winter to snowmobile and were happy every time. Staff was always friendly and courteous. We will definitely be back.
This motel is easy to communicate and easy to check in/ checkout! The staff is nice when I call for late check in and the room is spacious. Recommend for road trip stops!!
Our 3 night stay was comfortable. The place is close to the arrowhead provincial park and 10 mins to huntsville town and amenities. The staff was a even courteous enuf to allow a few mins late check-out due to our baby sleeping.
When we arrived at the inn, they said that they had no record of our arrival. They did not have any room available and did not offer to help us find one. We spent time looking for a good place and this one was highly rated at a good price. We were very disappointed.
It’s an older motel, not up to date but not run down and very clean (which is most important to us). The room was huge, and had everything we needed. Just down the road from Arrowhead Park. We’ll be booking here again next year.
It was clean and spacious. We had no negative issues. Close to Arrowhead Park and Huntsville.
Please beware that the photos were probably taken 40 years ago. The place has seen better days and is sadly in need to an update. No staff to be seen anywhere and the amenities would be 2 chairs outside of the front of the room. That’s about all folks. I seriously considered cancelling immediately and taking the hit for the cancellation. The power kept going out in the room and the wifi was brutally slow. Beware unless you ha e no other options people
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The room was small as were the bath tub and toilet. The toilet felt it was made for children. Traffic from the highway was noticeable. The dining room was closed as was the office. Speaking on the phone was how instructions about the room was conducted.
We enjoyed our stay. It was clean and comfortable.
Nice motel with all the comforts of home. Rooms are clean. Outdoor BBQ and fire pit was a nice touch.
Room was nice and clean could used more coffee packs loved the cricket in our air conditioning unit made you feel like you were sleeping outdoors overall happy with it
