The property is beautiful! Great location! Very clean and the bed is very comfortable! Tik & Bua are amazing, they made my stay here in Phuket that much better! : )

I like to drive with grab car to vidit different places in phuket go to centrum for eat en drinks see shoppingmals or restaurant.

Spacious room with large bed. Room was overall tidy and clean. Bathroom however felt a bit unclean with a mouldy smell. Staff and their service at the desk were great.

Great location awesome staff specially Paul from the front desk. They all go out of their way to help. Big and comfortable room. On site parking if you are driving. Highly recommended.

Paul and the other girls working are VERY helpful and their to answer and help you reserve, answer and recommend places or activities. Bananas, coffee and little cookies fresh and ready everyday to get you started! Very close and walking distance to everything you need. Included weekend night markets, 7eleven and massages!

Basic amenities like toothbrushes, towel were not provided and were available on chargeable basis that too above Maximum Retail Price. Staff was not welcoming and rude. The property felt cheap and left there were several places where cost cutting was done. The balcony experience was the worst as it was infront to open Sewage and balcony smelled so awful. The bathroom was also poorly ventilated

The room was good with a nice balcony and the main lobby area had the community feel of a hostel (good thing). Breakfast had plenty of options and there's fresh juice 24/7 available in the lobby. The things we didn't like: Floor in the room was dirty and needed to be swept, soaking tub on balcony didn't look super clean either so we didn't use it.

Nice modernised hotel at a very low cost. Close to the sunday market spot.

The room was okay. There were no cupboards to keep the luggage. You just have a very small open shelf where you can keep just your cabin bag. It’s a good place to stay if you’re on a budget and don’t stay in the room a lot. Service was really good. The cleaning team were really sweet.

Blu Monkey is a wonderful place to stay as a mainstay in the Phuket area. We stayed here for 4 nights and couldn’t have been happier! Monkey Desk: All the front desk attendants were so helpful in so many ways. We had little planned for activities but with their help, we were able to do so much more! They helped us in communicating with the tours, setting us up with taxi services, and gave us so many restaurant recommendations. One Chun was our favorite restaurant! If we ever come back to Phuket, we will make sure to stay at Blu Monkey again!

The hotel is nice, clean and convenient. The only two things are the breakfast is “Ok” and the staff don’t speak good English. Overall, it is a good hotel.

Trendy branding masked the somewhat shoddy condition of my room. The toilet and shower are in a cramped room, and the wash basin is in the main room itself. Bed was stiff and the towels were frayed around the edges. Also didn't care for the black walls, which gave everything a gloomy appearance. But it was good enough for a night's rest. And the bus station is right on the opposite end of the parking lot.

The hotel has a very hip look. Cool decorations in the room with a bathtub outside. A big table serving all day juices / coffee etc. Good to chill around.

Excellent value for money. We just needed a one night stop over and it was ideal. Very clean and lovely comfy bed. Good shower Everything you needed no faults.

Hotel looks well decorated and designed at first but the black and white paint schemes is horrible functionally. Half the room is painted black with a lack of lighting inside. There’s only about 3 pot lights in the ceiling and 2 lamps that I had to turn facing up just so it could bounce a little bit of light off the walls. I could barely see anything at night. One of my plugs wasn’t even next to my side of the bed which was irritating all week. And this is just about wall paint! First night there the toilet clogs. We tell front desk (staff are very nice) and they said they’ll get someone to fix it. We come back end of day still clogged. Didn’t bother that night and went in the morning, a new staff asked if we flushed toilet paper. Well okay that’s news to us sure guess we’ll throw them in the garbage (gross). This time they fixed it by the time we returned in the evening. Next day toilet clogs AGAIN. Was an absolute nightmare with this toilet. I’ll leave it at that. Breakfast was mediocre at best and also cold. Food tasted like it was made at 4am and left for 630-1030. Orange/apple juice was pure sugar. The pool was constantly occupied by large 5-8 person groups. The walls are thin and people will constantly slam their doors when they go in and out and it’ll sound like it was in your room. Basically if you need a room only (clean I will add), with no expectation on facilities and amenities go for it because the location is pretty good. But otherwise No thanks.

Cool hotel with a lovely vibe to it. Only stayed one night as travelling but would recommend as place to stay a few nights and relax.

This hotel was disappointing. I haven't traveled too much in Asia but this place is not a 4 star.... maybe four out of 10. There is no hand soap and the shower gel and shampoo smell like Bubblegum. The towels are very dingy. There's no closet or drawer space for a 3-night stay. There were four hangers...thermostat on the room had one setting ice cold. Bed was as as hard as a rock. The hotel staff acted like they understood English but when I spoke they looked at each other like they couldn't understand. Everybody was nice enough it's just not like the reviews. There was one near in the room above a pedestal sink the mirror was 12 in in diameter. The breakfast buffet was nice enough! And they offered free bananas and various drinks complimentary. Place is nested into an area where the bus terminal is. You have to walk about five blocks to get to some old town sites. The fixtures were all loose and coming off the walls. The toilet seat Didn't fit and was loose. dirt in the corners on the floor.... but I guess we're in Thailand.

Not much choice at breakfast, didn't like paper cups for hot drinks. No fridge in the room and wash basin needed to be in bathrooms . However the hotel was different and staff great

It’s a newer modern boutique hotel. Each room has a smart mobile unit that you can take out with you. Free snacks, fruit and drinks are served all day. Simple but delicious breakfast. It located right by the bus station to airport big plus and nearby the Local shopping mall. The neighborhood has many delicious street food vendors.

The hotel looks like a hotel/hostel hybrid, with the best of both worlds. Very modern, very clean, I have nothing negative to say, which is kind of unusual. Definitely recommend!

The decor in the room was nice. There was no air conditioning while eating breakfast. The only air conditioning was in your room.

Stayed here for one night. 10 min walk to old Town Phuket and the weekend market. Next door there is a restaurant that played loud music on Sunday night that didn't allow me to sleep. The pillows were a bit uncomfortable as well. No soap in the sink. Overall okay room but wouldn't stay here because of the noise next door. We needed to go to the pier the following morning and asked the staff if there was a bus or shuttle they said no but that was a lie. I feel like people are always trying to scam you so do your research before believing.

Great vibe hotel. Good pool. Free tea coffee and fruit. Breakfast lovely. Staff are very friendly helpful and happy. We had a room with a bath on the balcony which was great fun. Good walking distance to old town with great shops and restaurants. All round great stay.

The Blu Monkey Hub and Hotel was excellent. The staff were always friendly and helpful, the food was great, the room was comfortable and the location was an easy walking distance to markets and transport to beaches. I'd definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

My second stay at this chic and design hotel, good location with walking distance to bus terminal, if you have an early flight, strongly recommended this hotel. Room is big, new and with good design. Will definitely come back next time when traveling to Phuket.

I like big bed and it’s very soft. Fruit and snack are prepared all the time.

Overall this was a great stay (location wise), best for budget travellers as there's a bus terminal right beside. However the sheets were a little dirty as there were stains and what looks like blood stains too, tried to tell the reception lady that we want to change our sheets but she couldn't make up what we're trying to say.

The property was clean. Room matinence was hit or miss. There is a guy at night that works the front desk he is frendly and very accommodating. There are two girls at the front desk that always found ways not to be accomdating. (I asked for a fork and she said they don’t have any. We used forks at breakfast. It is hard to believe they vanish after 11 and reappear the next day.)

The location is great to explore phuket town, staff are friendly, the bed is very confortable Zzz. Recommend to all !!

There was so much humidity in the room , and the sheets were not clean but when we told them they change it for us in the same moments . The breakfast is good .

Very cosy and unique hotel. love the black and white monkey theme. essential nessesities like water and biscuits are provided for free 24hrs a day, a nice touch. rooms are clean and well maintained, though the toilet does have constant foul smell, guess it's no fault of the hotel. will be great if can get some fragrance to wash out the foul smell. other than that, highly recommended. will definitely be back.

We only spent a night here. This is our best evaluation of the short time we spent there. Best breakfast and banana bread ever. Very clean, tidy and confortable. Super recomended. Close to food plces

It's a pretty good hotel, good location in Phuket town.

This is the most “hip” hotel I’ve stayed in - great theme and decor, immaculate cleanliness and superb staff (the best of Thai warmth and helpfulness). HOWEVER - this is the noisiest hotel I’ve stayed in on 30 years of world travel! The tile flooring and hard surfaces throughout the building transmit sound perfectly. Any guests coming and going can not avoid being noisy - regular conversation and foot steps are clearly transmitted the whole length of the building. The rooms have massive and heavy doors that thump closed measurable on the Richter scale - the thunderclap of a door being closed also carries the entire length of the building. There is a karaoke bar adjacent, so a room with an even number means crank up the TV and be prepared not to sleep until the singing is done. With windows closed and A/C unit blasting in the room it’s still plenty easy to have a sing along (I was on the 5th floor). Overall, despite being a REALLY neat place I left exhausted after 3 sleep deprived nights.

The only concern was staying at 3rd floor, the water pressure is weak and the inconsistent between hot and cold water mix cause unpleasent bathing experience. Other than water issue, the rest is good

I booked this hotel purely based on Expedia reviews, and could not have been more pleased. The room was very comfortable and clean. There are restaurants and bars nearby, but the hotel was fairly quiet. The complimentary breakfast was one of the nicer I've seen for a low priced hotel.

The hotel was super nice, very kept up. We got a room with the bath outside on the balcony. The staff was pretty nice, the hotel has it's own cafe with food which we did eat at once or twice and it was really good food for the price. I would definitely come back and stay here again. One of the best parts was the breakfast every morning was always pretty tasty, the 24/7 coffee was pretty good that I already miss it, and the free waters are something I wouldn't think I was going to see in Thailand.

Overall great, bedding left something to be desired.

The hotel location and staffs are superb, the room is very nice but the shower would need a little refresh and repair. The shower sink didn’t drain fast enough so water just stacks up and flood the room constantly every shower. That is the only downside of our room might not be in general for all rooms tho.

We stayed at Blue Monkey for only 1 night enroute to Ko Lanta. The stay was great, comfortable beds, good breakfast and good service. It was good value for money. Unfortunately, another guest had missed his room and was knocking on our door at 5.45 am. He was very apologetic though😀

Location and reading and workspace area. There is 7 eleven store , pharmacy close to it , plus food market on opposite site of road is quite accessible via free bicycle provided by Hotel.

It was a lovely, clean hotel just a 2 min walk from the old town bus station, just 1 bus away from the airport. Loved the free water and fruit/snacks. The décor was lovely, and the staff were helpful too. Would definitely return.

Very clean and modern. Breakfasts were absolutely delicious and plentiful. Loved having drinks available all day. Would recommend bringing a refillable water bottle instead of using the plastic bottled waters. The amount of plastic waste in Thailand is staggering. Great common areas to work. Hotel staff very pleasant.

Super cute, hipster vibes. Great place for young travelers especially if you need to do some work. They have an awesome space to have a drink and get some work done. Pool a little small but does just what it needs to. Restaurant has good food as well.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Blu Monkey. Thought it was great value for the price and appreciated all the little extras for a comfortable stay! Good location within easy walking distance to the old Town and easy to catch a taxi or bus outside. Breakfast was good and all day coffee etc was available. Very friendly staff.

Clean modern hotel IF you need a night in Phuket town . Walkable to Sunday night market. Bed was huge, modern rooms but toilet could do better. Sewage smell was a little overwhelming once you open the bathroom door,

Hotel is very clean, friendly staff, 24 hours free coffee, fruit juice, bottled water and crackers. Breakfast is quite good (food starts to repeat on day 3 or 4 of our stay), the banana bread is a must try! Location-wise, it is perfect if you are going to spend more time in Phuket Old Town. But if you are planning to go to Patong area a lot you should live there, since the cheapest ride we can get to Patong is 500 Baht, and it takes 30 minutes. Only complaint is that the water pressure and temperature of the shower and sink need to be fixed. All in all, would totally recommend!

The gentleman who ran the front desk treated us as though we inconvenienced him every time we had a question. The hotel room had needed repairs, no way to request no housekeeping, leaking bathroom sink, leaking a/c water cooler and previous tenants items left in our bathroom upon our arrival. The new feel is cool but the staff members were not warm

Some of the positive and negatives to my stay. Negatives - 1) the room is small very small and shower was a decent size but the toilet I could only just fit in. 2) no fridge in any of the rooms tho they did have bottled cold water in the lobby that you could grab at any time 3) the sheets were ripped told staff about it on check in and staff didn’t care and was told they are ok they didn’t need changing. 4) While I dont want to lump all staff in the same boat as some of the staff there are wonderful friendly people but others were just mean and nasty and did not seem to care very much. 5) Be quick to park your car and don’t move it during your stay if you get in to their car park, they advertise has having a car park and free parking but local businesses clientele use it 6) During my stay the air conditioner stopped working we returned from an outing and put the key card back as you do so the power to the room is activated but the air conditioner did not start and when reporting it we were blamed for it not working But they did get it working again fairly quickly. Positives 1) Cheap but you do get what you pay for 2) breakfast is included in the cheap price it’s not much but it’s something just don’t expect bacon or eggs but there is normally a noodle and a rice dish and a rice porridge 3) the travel buddy was great! During your stay you have a free loan of a smart phone that has some handy apps, free internet free local and international calls to some countries

The staff where not as helpful as we were lead to believe, very abrupt, never a smile on any of the staff, thought they could have served some cereal, for breakfast? Ask them to bring more fruit as there was nothing left to eat other than noodles,

The place was good overall. The only downside (and I don’t know if it was because of the dry season), the river next to the hotel is used as drain and the smell from the sewage makes it very unconfortable to be in the balcony or in the pool.

This was a favorite hotel in Thailand. The decor and ambience are quirky and cool. Nice little pool, friendly staff, good location and breakfast as well as free snacks throughout the day. Bathroom had a stinky sewer smell but we kept the door closed and it was fine. Good bargain for the price.

My friends and I checked-in a triple bedroom on the 6th floor for 5d4n. Pros: Check-in was smooth. The beds are comfortable. There's housekeeping every day. Breakfast is nice. Cons: The overall drainage for the shower, toilet, and sink isn't good; a foul smell lingers in the room when we return to the hotel at night. Our toilet even got clogged one morning but the housekeeper quickly unclogged it. Water condensation forms on the wall every morning, some of our stuff that was leaning on it got wet. We informed the concierge about the problem but I don't think they know the root of the problem. There are a lot of tv channels to choose from (about 60) but only a couple are in english/ has english subtitles.

Blu Monkey offers guest free local fruits, juice and hot beverages throughout the day. Around 3pm they serve freshly bake muffins. There is a mini Landry Room, workstation, books and boardganes for guest. Its nearby many local eatries that open for breakfast, lunch amd dinner. There is a bus terminal nearby. It Bus Terminal No. 1. There is a convenient store and a dentist walking distance and nearby the hotel If you are looking for a fancy seafood restaurant it is just opposite the hotel. Thia hotel is about 10 minutes walk to Phuket Old Town. Cons for some guest is that it is not nearby any pubs. Overall it is a great place to stay.

The hotel is cute and hip, with a wonderful location (near the bus station and old town), but it is extremely noisy until late at night due to music blaring from a restaurant next door. As well, the staff are nice, but were not very helpful. I am vegan and aside from a banana there was nothing that I could eat for breakfast.

Pictures are misleading for this hotel. While it looked hip, the decor was an attempt to mask the dirtier parts of the rooms.

I was only looking for a budget option for a brief night near the pier and was amazed at the quality of this place for the price. Didn't have much time to explore the area but seemed like plenty to see and found a fantastic restaurant nearby with one of the finest meals I've ever had in thailand (surf and turf). Bed was super comfortable. Design was very good and there were loads of nice touches throughout the hotel. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Excellent hotel which felt like a hostel. Huge comfy bed with balcony and good service see room and bathroom. Cleaned daily and had all the amenities including a safe and daily water, coffee and tea. Free fruit and drinks throughout day. Breakfast was a little odd but was sufficient and served until 11am. However some of the staff need some training in customer service. We ended up an extra 8 nights but they would not give us the price that we had booked for the first four nights so we ended up paying a lot mitre per night! They we really unhelpful.
