The beautiful beachfront location, sophisticated design, immaculate surroundings, and attention to detail created a very relaxing and luxurious experience. Die Anlage ist stilvoll und grosszügig gestaltet. Das gesamte Personal ist äusserst hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Hosam hat unser Zimmer täglich bestens gereinigt und mit schönen Aufmerksamkeiten dekoriert. Die Premium Zimmer sind geräumig und ich habe die Terrasse mit Meerblick morgens mit einer Tasse Kaffee sehr genossen. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und lecker. Die Speisen im Restaurant Nihon und im Beach Club waren vorzüglich. Der Strand ist gepflegt und die Liegen sind bequem.

I loved the swimming pool. The team, the quality of service exceeded expectations. The amenities such as the spa area and gym were beyond amazing. Truly a great experience overall.

I would have just liked it more if the rooms were a bit more spacious. other than that, overall it was such a beautiful experience. Cannot wait to visit again.

If you’re thinking about staying at The Chedi… this is your sign. Book it. Seriously. My husband and I came here to celebrate our one-year anniversary, and I genuinely don’t think we could have picked a better hotel. Everything about our stay was top tier. The hospitality here is unmatched. Every single person we interacted with was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help. The rooms were spotless, the food was delicious, and you can really feel how much care goes into every little detail. A special shoutout to the team at the pool and beach. After the first day they already knew us, always checked in on us, and made sure we had everything we needed. They made every day so fun and relaxing, and honestly became one of the highlights of our trip. We also visited the spa a few times, and all I can say is, if you’re booking a massage, ask for Sama. Thank me later. She was incredible and easily one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Gouna is a great place to be, it’s so special and that makes finding the perfect place to stay a difficult decision. Picking The Chedi is by far, the easiest decision. We had the most incredible stay, and I know we’ll be back.

Truly, an outstanding experience. Wonderful service from the Front Desk to the restaurant to the service staff. Facilities were extremely nice and well kept in the location and scenery was beautiful. we had some special requests to depart early and they helped us prepare everything in advance.

Service was a bit slow and the hotel felt understaffed. It could be because we were there during a low season. Also I had a terrible massage experience where the manager and the masseuse fought while I was trying to get my massage.

I chose to spend the day at the beach, as the main pool was a little busier with families. The beach is a beautiful, peaceful haven, and I spent a wonderfully relaxing day there on one of the four-poster sun loungers. The beach team were excellent throughout the day. Their service was attentive without ever being intrusive, and I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the chilled water, the refreshing iced towels and the quiet attention to detail. It was exactly the kind of calm, luxurious atmosphere

If you're looking for a great vacation, go to The Chedi. But if you want the best vacation, make sure you meet Ali at the Reception. He has an incredible ability to make everything easy. From the moment we arrived, he made our check-in experience effortless. Our stay was absolutely amazing, and choosing this hotel was one of the best decisions we've ever made. Without a doubt, it's one of the best hotels I've ever visited. A very special thanks to Ali from reception for his outstanding professionalism, exceptional hospitality, and friendly personality. He made our check-in process incredibly smooth and effortless—we honestly didn't even notice how quickly the time passed. He gave us a fantastic introduction to the hotel and all its facilities, and he never hesitated to go the extra mile to make our vacation truly memorable. Whenever we requested a golf cart to take us to our room, Ali would often leave what he was doing to drive us himself so we wouldn't have to wait. That level of care and dedication is something we truly appreciated. A heartfelt thank you to every member of the hotel staff. Exceptional Egyptian hospitality. We really wanted to purchased a used bath towel as it was perfect size to always think of El Chedi, but they said they weren’t for sale :( However, this does not detract from the wonderful hospitality. The hotel is a perfect location but what made it an even better experience is that the people who are running it and serving you. Beshoy Gamil really looked after me. He remembered what I liked to eat, was extremely friendly and very caring when I felt a little ill during the trip. Could not compliment them more.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. The rooms were clean, the facilities were great, and everything was well maintained. The staff were always incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome every single day. A special thank you goes to Saif Mohamed (16 years old), who spoke excellent German with us and always took the time to make sure we had everything we needed. Also the other staff were always very friendly and attentive, like Nader Eid and the girls in the reception of the restaurant. A very special thank you also goes to the chef, Fikry Allord. The Golden Menu he cooked one evening was so delicious. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The housekeeping staff were always kind, friendly, and very accommodating, and our room was cleaned to a high standard every day. Everything is just perfect. The team is really kind, nice and very helpful. They do everything they can to make your stay flawless. Shout out to Macarious and Heidi for their kindness and dedication and everything! The facilities are very nice; the beach is simply magical, the pool is perfect (thank you Shebl!!), the food is excellent, whether at the main Restaurant or at Nihon (special thanks to Youssef). The beach bar is amazing! Housekeeping is great (thank you Ramadan for your attention to details)!! They also offer golf car for in-resort transportation which is very helpful for elderly. I really enjoyed my stay at The Chedi and will definitely return again.

Friendly, good location, great atmosphere

I had a wonderful and relaxing 3 days 2 nights experience in The Chedi. I arrived hours earlier than the check-in time of 3pm. Granted, I had requested an early check-in days before my trip, but I knew it was subject to availability, so I was content to just sit in the lobby or explore the grounds. Luckily, my room was ready before 3pm, and I was whisked away on a golf buggy to my room. The driver very kindly showed me around first before heading to my room. He even showed me a shortcut to get from my room to The Restaurant, The Spa, beach and pools. I booked the Sea View Room, and I have to say I am happy I did! The room really had a wonderful view of the sea. I specifically requested for a high floor so I could have unobstructed views of the expansive, blue waters. I had a little terrace seating area outside where one could sit and peacefully enjoy the sunrise or sunset with a cup of coffee, in perfect silence and stillness. I hardly saw my neighbors and since I highly treasure my solitude and privacy, it was fantastic and perfect for an introverted, solo traveler like me. The room was immaculate, and I loved the amenities they provided. The Asprey body wash and body lotion provided were luxurious and smelled so good. I relaxed on my plush bed for a while before heading down to check out the pools. I settled on one and was immediately approached by a lifeguard who helped set up my cabana. Ordering a drink was easy, too, as there is always someone within eyeshot to take my order. The rest of my stay was more or less the same: relaxing for hours by the pool or beach, The Chedi Signature Massage at The Spa, breakfast and dinners at The Restaurant. You don't even have to leave The Chedi, if you don't want to! Overall, I truly enjoyed my time at The Chedi and would highly recommend it to anyone. All the staff, from the reception to housekeeping, from the lifeguards to the drivers and waiters at The Restaurant, went above and beyond to make my stay pleasant, and were always there when you need them, without being obtrusive and pushy.

Mr. Mina was extremely kind, professional, and courteous. He resolved our issue very quickly and demonstrated excellent leadership and management skills with his staff. We truly appreciate his support and outstanding service.

Small room, no doors on the bathroom and you can hear whoever does their business while you are on the bed. Beach, just unusable: full of jellyfish, rocks, and the sea was also pretty windy on the day we went. Beach is so bad that they have communal SHOES on the shore for you to use... They also seem to not clean them at all, and its just a game of roulette with the sizes. No bathrobe either, amenities close to zero. Internet was also not working in our room, but they had fixed it in an hour or two once I pointed it out. Atmosphere/decor is fine, but not worth paying a premium price for. Breakfast is normal, you will get the same breakfast in all the hotels. Overall, not worth the $300 I paid for the premium beach terrace, and would never come back again.

The location is fantastic and close to downtown. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, the rooms are a good size, the value is good, the place is quiet and peaceful, the service is fast and excellent, all amenities are available, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the stay is enjoyable.

Wir wurden um 2 Uhr Nachts aus dem Schlaf gerissen weil paar betrunkene Gäste und auswärtige eine Party gefeiert haben. Das war bereits vor zwei Jahren der Fall. Das Hotel hat erst reagiert nachdem wir nach 10 Minuten uns mehrmals beschwert hatten. War leider keine erholsame Nacht - insbesondere weil wir früh raus mussten. Beim Frühstück Eier Softboiled oder runny zu erhalten hat sie vor eine Herausforderung gestellt. Nicht nur wir sondern Reihenweise Tische haben retourniert und neue verlangt. Für ein solches Hotel etwas merkwürdig. Das Badezimmer bietet wenig Ablagemöglichkeiten

This was by far the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in Egypt. Everything exceeded our expectations, from the exceptional service to the cleanliness and attention to detail. My room ac wasn’t working I was in a Chedi Suite but the bedroom ac wasn’t cooling and I kept calling them twice daily with each time the engineer comes and check and advise that everything is fine in the afternoon then when when we come back in the evening it is not. They send him again in the evening with no results as well. Finally after 3 days of no sleep due to heat I asked for manager then we got transferred to another suite for the last 2 nights which was perfect

I am currently staying at The Chedi El Gouna and unfortunately my experience has been very disappointing, especially considering this is marketed as a 5-star luxury hotel. The hotel appears to be fully booked, yet they continue to allow large numbers of external day-use guests. As a result, hotel residents — who are paying close to 100K for their stay — cannot even find available sunbeds or quiet spaces to relax around the pool areas. What is even more frustrating is the complete lack of supervision and management around the pools. There are unsupervised children constantly yelling, splashing water at other guests, and creating a very loud and chaotic atmosphere. At one point, children even brought jellyfish from the beach into the swimming pool, which was honestly unbelievable and should never happen at a property of this standard. Despite the ongoing disturbance, there is little to no visible intervention from hotel staff to maintain order or preserve a peaceful environment. This experience feels far from luxurious, relaxing, or exclusive — which is exactly what guests expect when booking a stay at a property of this level and price point. I truly hope management reconsiders the day-use policy and improves pool supervision to ensure hotel guests receive the quality of experience they are paying for.

High level of customer service! The hotel and location are wonderful, but the staff definitely make staying at this hotel the highlight. The ladies in the spa were always making sure we were comfortable. Khaled Mohamed at the front desk helped my husband plan a birthday surprise for me, and Hassum helped to decorate and make sure the room was perfect for us. The first night, our neighbours were up partying until 4:30am.. We had to get security involved as when other guests request they be quiet, they just became louder. Luckily once security was called they handled the situation, and the next morning offered to upgrade us to a beachfront room.

We had a truly wonderful family stay at The Chedi El Gouna. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt calm, refined, and exceptionally well curated. As a family with my wife and daughter, we deeply appreciated the atmosphere, the beautiful setting, the attention to detail, and the sense of genuine hospitality throughout our stay. A special thank you to Nancy at reception, who made our arrival seamless and welcoming with warmth and professionalism. First impressions matter, and she set the tone perfectly. Maged deserves special recognition as well for his outstanding service at both The Beach House and Nihon. His attentiveness, friendliness, and natural ability to make guests feel looked after elevated our dining experiences significantly. And a heartfelt thank you to Christine, Guest Relations Supervisor, whose exceptional guest handling skills were genuinely impressive. Her professionalism, care, and ability to anticipate and respond to guest needs made a lasting impression. She represents the very best of hospitality. The Chedi has managed to create something special: luxury that feels effortless, elegant, and genuinely warm rather than formal or distant.
