Central in the heart of the ghost town

Old dilapidated building with no atmosphere and long overdue for demolition…. Unfortunately it was not a good experience for the town and definitely had no value at all for the costs…. It’s worth 40 pounds per night at best!

It was a convenient place to stay for one night during a cycle touring ride and there was an enclosed area to leave the bicycles. Pleasant and helpful person on reception when we arrived. It was clean and comfortable enough with a good sized double room. There was easy access to a variety of places to eat in the evening.

The room had some very low ceilings and the ensuite bathroom was difficult to shower in due to a very low ceiling over the bath.

The room was exactly what was expected for the price, and clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and swapped our planned rooms without asking so that we would be next to each other. Check in was easy and parking was fine.

The room needs a deep clean. Coffee marks under table and dusty skirting boards, loo paper ran out and reception not available to replace it.

The room was tiny! I feel for £225 it was completely overpriced. The shower had a glass door to get in that only the tiniest of persons could fit through. The room was as basic as you can get. We asked the receptionist to recommend places to eat nearby and she had no idea.

Hotel is very dated and very noisy. Staff smoking at front doors does not give a great impression. We asked for somewhere to store our bikes overnight and was told we could leave them in the fire escape stairwell. Not very sensible if there was a fire.

Für eine nacht okay aber die Matratze ist eine Katastrophe . Sie bieten nur die Zimmer ohne frühstück und so weiter. Die fotos waren aus viel besseren Zeiten.

After a long day of hiking I wanted a shower however I struggled with the bathtub and shower nozzle - I wouldn’t class or advertise this as a shower.

Great location in heart of village. Low price.

It is more of a hostel with private rooms than a hotel. Public spaces all closed at 7pm so nowhere to sit other than room. Place very tired and can hear doors open and close from other rooms. But it sells itself as a budget hotel and that is what you get.

Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, die Decken waren sehr niedrig im obersten Stock (vor allem im Bad). Ein Fenster klemmte und konnte nicht geschlossen werden.

A central location in a lovely town

Un buen hotel con una gran relación calidad precio. Estaba muy limpio y la habitación era grande. La verdad es que salimos muy contentos. El pueblo es muy bonito. Hay que pagar 5£ por el parking pero tener la tranquilidad de ver el coche desde la habitación, hace que te parezca incluso barato. Hay un negocio de comida que sirven de todo a buen precio, tienen un fabuloso Fish & chips.

Very little - the water for the shower in the morning was nice and warm. That apart there was nothing to like about the property or the service.

First, we were not made aware that this so-called hotel had a very limited access period until we had physically booked and paid for the hotel. Only then did we learn that we had to be there between 16.00 and 19.00 hours. This proved problematic given we were at a function in Ayr and had a 2.5 hour journey to get to Aberfeldy. The "receptionist" on arrival was sitting on the front step with presumably her friends - there was no corporate uniform - scruffy would be a more apt description. She rehearsed a script informing us that access and egress was only by a rear door using a code. She handed out keys and left us to our own devices. She appeared to be on her own. The rooms were small, musty smelling and needing a make-over. Facilities in the room were minimalist. The decor throughout the building was poor. When we arrived back in the hotel after having a meal elsewhere in the town, the lounge was locked meaning that there was no communal area where we could at least sit and converse with friends. I regularly use Booking.com and have done so for many years - this is by far the worst experience I have ever had with Booking.com and am surprised that they have included this place in their portfolio. I cannot recommend anything about this establishment and would encourage Booking.com to remove it from their portfolio forthwith.

Beautiful town, nature and shops amenities near by.

The staff& receptionist downstairs wasn't that friendly. Left out some information about food etc when you asked her a question about something, it's as if she could not be bothered to explain anything to you& as if you were hassling her. That's the only reason I would not stay at the hotel again. Besides that everything else was decent for the price.

Wir würden es auf keinen Fall noch mal buchen. Chefin unflexibel. Bei den Madratzen spürte man jede Feder. Bad musste man Treppe im Zimmer hoch. Bad sehr spatanisch. Kein Duschvorhang kein Fön. Alles gut fotografiert. Viele Treppen zum Zimmer hoch. Woher die 3 Sterne kommen keine Ahnung.

Room was scruffy. Bed linen was very old. Curtains did not shut properly. Not allowed to bring food into the room, nowhere to eat after long day out. Bathroom was grubby. Toilet paper holder was inaccessible when using the toilet. Door didn't shut properly. I could go on, but suffice to say staying in the property was awful. And the cost of the room... unbelievable!

The staff were amazing and very helpful in changing rooms and offering early check in. They also allowed us to use sheltered parking for my partners bike. The rooms were spotlessly clean and beds were comfortable. For the price this was a rally excellent stay.

No food available, no bar at present though I did see one . Noisy till after midnight. Heating on too high and a stuffy atmosphere, unsuitable for asthmatics. Window only just opened. Poor TV reception

The kettle didn't work properly. Felt a bit like the staff were 'putting in the time' and I thought the price was high for room only with no breakfast option.

Could feel all the springs in the mattress, floorboards were really squeaky, room totally different than pictures. Worst room we have ever stopped in. Also really noisy has room was road side and still has the old sash windows.
