Reviewed Aug 20, 2026Spotless hotel. Excellent location (close to malecón/boardwalk and its restaurants, shops) and felt safe walking around the area. Lovely rooftop pool and seating area that overlooks the city and faces the water. Friendly staff. Full service restaurant and bar. Comfortable beds. Room includes a mini-fridge and safe.
Two things to mention - neither are particularly problematic, but might be helpful to know. 1) Having breakfast included is something we appreciate when travelling as a family. Several items were offered as part of a buffet however, items that were meant to be served hot were only warm and cooled down quickly. It is possible to request quesadillas, eggs, and a “special of the day” to be prepared fresh by the cook. We also ate lunch in the restaurant (ordered from menu) and the food was excellent. 2) A room with two queen beds is a bit small for a family of 4 (two adults and two older teenagers). However, if you’re not planning to hang out in the room for extended periods of time, it is perfectly functional.

Front desk staff were very accommodating and helped with getting tais to the airport the morning we left for home. All my friends were impressed with the hotel. we will definitely be staying there on our future fishing trips. Thank you to the entire HBlue Hotel Staff!!!!

Cada detalle cuidado desde el máximo cariño: la habitación enorme y cómoda, las vistas al mar, al atardecer, la piscina, el personal, el desayuno, el parking…o sea; ha superado las expectativas con mucho. Si volvemos a La Paz repetimos seguro! Nos hemos sentido en casa!

Reviewed Jul 15, 2026I had a wonderful stay at HBlue. 😊 I got a very nice, spacious room that was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was excellent, with delicious specialties that changed every day. What really made my stay special was the staff. Everyone was extraordinarily friendly, always smiling, and they went above and beyond to help me with several things during my stay. Their kindness and hospitality made me feel very welcome. I would definitely stay here again when visiting La Paz.

Reviewed May 19, 2026Our room was very large and bed was comfortable. We loved the rooftop lounging area and pool! Beautiful sunsets and wonderful view during breakfast. The breakfast was varied and good. Staff were very friendly. I appreciated that they gave us towels for the pool. It was within walking distance to the Malecon for the evening. The place was very clean, including even the parking lot! I would definitely stay here again.
The lights in the bathroom were a bit dim.

The only thing I didn’t like was like around 6am every morning there were a lot of loud noises above my room. Maybe it was because just above it was the kitchen, so I think it’s Something it could be improved or offer a different room

Our room had a strong sewer smell which stayed the whole time. The location was not too far from the Malecón but the road to walk there was a little dangerous - a lot of large potholes and a very uneven sidewalk.

Reviewed Apr 23, 2026HBlue Hotel Review – La Paz, Mexico We stayed at HBlue Hotel for four nights and found the overall facilities to be quite good. The property itself is comfortable and generally pleasant, but our experience was impacted by inconsistent management and somewhat misleading advertising.
While there was no fraud involved, the hotel does appear to oversell certain aspects of the experience. For example, we booked our stay months in advance through Booking.com and later added an additional night. The listing led us to expect a room with a view; however, the ground level suite we received—while spacious and quiet—felt enclosed, with no view at all. Our arrival also got off to a difficult start. We had requested early check-in weeks in advance, but despite being told the room would be ready in 10 minutes, we ultimately waited nearly three hours, sitting by the pool in the sun with our luggage. There were also billing and communication issues. Upon arrival, we were asked to pay for the additional night at the standard hotel rate rather than the Booking.com rate, which was unexpected. Later in our stay, we were locked out of our room and told we had not paid for that same night—despite having already done so. This led to unnecessary confusion and frustration. Compounding these issues, the staff and management struggled to resolve problems efficiently. On more than one occasion, errors appeared to stem from confusion with another guest of a similar last name, yet responsibility was repeatedly placed on us. This felt inappropriate and avoidable. That said, not everything was negative. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, and the restaurant is adequate for breakfast, though we would not recommend it for dinner.A pleasant stay in terms of facilities, but management and communication issues significantly impacted the experience.

Las camas muy cómodas, habitación silenciosa, amplia, aire acondicionado silencioso y eficiente. El personal muy amigable y servicial, sobre todo Carlos en recepción, siempre atento a resolver nuestras dudas y necesidades. Muy bien ubicado, a 5 minutos caminando del malecón y cerca de buenos restaurantes. Alberca pequeña perp suficiente, en la terraza del 6°piso muy agradable para desayunar, comer o tomar un buen trago. Totalmente recomemdable.

The streets directly down from the hotel to the Malecon are not picturesque but feel quite safe. There are barking dogs that live nearby and their barking at night is difficult to sleep through.

Reviewed Mar 5, 2026Das Zimmer war schön gross. Das Personal war wirklich super bemüht alle Wünsche zu erfüllen (z.B. fehlende Handtücher, zusätzlich Wasserflaschen etc.). Die Dachterasse ist wirklich schön. Auch das Frühstück dort war toll. Jeden Tag hat die Küche etwas landestypisches zubereitet, was gut geschmeckt hat. Wir hatten einen Parkplatz. Der Malecon ist gut zu Fuss erreichbar.
Es ist ein Stadthotel an einer ziemlich viel befahrenen Strasse. Leider waren bei uns auch einige unserer Nachbarn feiern und sind lautstark um 2 Uhr nachts zurück gekommen. Oropax sind also wirklich notwendig.

THE PILLOWS WERE SO THIN AND NOT AT ALL COMFORTABLE. I ASKED FOR SOME OTHER PÍLLOWS AND THEY DIDNT HAVE ANY. mY ROOM WAS BESIDE THE STAIR, SO WHEN THE RAIN HITS IT MADE SOME CASCADE AND THE WATER ENTERS THE ROOM. THE POOL WAS VERY VERY COLD. NOT ABLE TO USE.

Reviewed Jan 27, 2026Prime location, just a walk from the busy coastal road, close to anything needed, supermarkets, restaurants and bars. The hotel has happy hour and have wonderful staff. Good breakfast catered to everyone with daily specials in the morning. Bottled water changed daily and a coffee machine in the rooms. Large room and bathroom. The top floor with the pool is beautiful , best place to watch the sunset.
Only down fall is that the rooms do not have balconies so we were not able to dry any of our clothes, swimsuits of towels.
