Ben’s Homestay is such a delightful place to stay - perfectly positioned in a quiet tropical haven within walking distance of the busy Kajeng market and peaceful rice fields in the other direction. Many fabulous restaurants and warungs close by. The family are so welcoming - it feels like you’re staying with friends. The rooms are large and airy with lovely outdoor areas for relaxing. This is our favourite place we’ve stayed in Ubud after many visits and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

I must say it was my excellent visit to bens homestay.. if u want anything u just name it and in few minutes it's in your room ... Phuto and Ben and all family so much loving and caring .. must stay over here.

Wonderful place to stay, in a great location. The rooms were spacious and clean with a great bathroom. The grounds are beautiful. They were very accommodating and kind with refrigerating important medication in their personal room.

This is not the fault of Ben’s homestay, according to booking.com breakfast was included, which it wasn’t. They offer breakfast at a very reasonable rate, and there are great places to eat nearby.

Peaceful garden that feels like paradise. The Deluxe room is really spacious. The hosts are great and very welcoming. The stay hits way above its price range. The Koi pond with decade old specimens is a bonus. There is a temple on the street at the end of the garden, where you can hear gamalan being performed, if you stay during celebrations.

Я была здесь в феврале, мне понравился этот дом. Там было спокойно и уютно. НО. Когда я приехала в мае, оказалось, что стенка в стенку началась стройка нового homestay. Стройка начинает работу в 8 утра. Внимание, путешественники! В 8 утра рядом с вашей комнатой строители будут стучать молотками и пилить бетон. Имейте это ввиду.

Молодой хозяин этого дома не захотел возвращать мне деньги, когда из-за стройки рядом с моей комнатой я захотела отменить жилье. Хотя его отец сказал, что деньги вернутся. Молодой хозяин был рассержен моим решением и невежлив. Он сказал, что я не уважаю балийцев. Он не прав. Я живу на Бали 4 года и с большим уважением отношусь к местным жителям, которые всегда добры и гостеприимны ко мне. Я считаю, что это молодой хозяин этого дома не уважает своих гостей, раз не может договориться со своими соседями, чтобы стройка начиналась хотя бы в 10 утра. Я приехала в Убуд на выходные, чтобы отдохнуть, и потому снимаю у него комнату. А не для того, чтобы проснуться в 8 утра от грохота стройки и уехать от него в плохом самочувствии

ホームステイということで、ご家族の方が皆さん親切でフレンドリーでした。会う度に声を掛けてくださり、とても嬉しかったです。部屋に冷蔵庫やハンガーはありませんが、貸していただけます。庭も緑が多くとても素敵で、アクセスが良いにも関わらずとても静かです。

The room did not have any shampoo or even hand wash. The bathroom tub used to get clogged.

One of the most wonderful place i stayed for low price. Beautiful balcony with tables, chairs, sofa, fridge, with sunset views. Stylish room with the bathroom. Everything is super clean. Cleaning balcony is every day, inside every few days. Internet is flying. AC works well. Shower a bit hard to set from hot to warm, but its working. Calm area with beautiful garden in yard. Electric kettle. Really very nice place. Bike parking Infront of compound on the street. Sometimes at evenings can hear kecak dance from Puras around.

Only small things like there is no bidet spray in toilet, but plenty toilet paper. No cup, tea or coffee. I had mine, nevermind.

Relaxed setting. It's in a compound with other guesthouses, but quiet. Hosts keep to themselves, so good for privacy. Nice balcony and spacious room. Aircon works well, mosquito net for the bed and fridge provided. Location is adequate, though not the best; it's a busy, ugly road, but thankfully close to the rice field walks.

Would receive perfect scores if they provided a kettle and drinking water. Disappointing not being able to make own coffee or tea, and it's wasteful to buy plastic bottled water everyday. Shower pressure was also weak.

It's walking distance to shops, some incredible restaurants 2 mins away, markets, the sweet orange walk and if you walk only 10-15mins you're in an even better rice field area away from the crowds. You are living in between local families, creating a warm atmosphere with kids playing outside. Good hot shower and aircon, many pillows!

Everything was wonderful — the room was very clean, extremely spacious, and the balcony was wide as well. Unlike many other accommodations, there were absolutely no insects. The hosts are truly amazing, very kind and respectful people who genuinely care about the guests’ comfort and do their best to provide for us. The internet connection is good, and there is never any shortage of water, even hot water. There are several grocery shops, supermarkets, and ATMs nearby. There is absolutely no kind of disturbance here; on the contrary, complete comfort and all the necessary amenities are available. Thank you to the Ben family 🙏♥️

La amabilidad de la familia que nos recibió, la ubicación y la buena energía del lugar

Nada. Todo fue excelente. En las habitaciones a veces se siente un poco de humedad, pero es propio del clima de Ubud, nada incomodo.

Habitación amplia y parque hermoso! El desayuno rico por un precio extra muy razonable (50.000 rp cada uno). La habitación del tercer piso tiene vistas increíbles y no huele a humedad :) El personal es amable y ambiente del lugar es muy verde y hermoso. Recomiendo 100%

Hay que chequear bien que la habitación que te asignen coincida con la de la foto, quisieron darnos una habitación inferior cuando habíamos reservado una mas grande con el baño distinto. Les informamos e inmediatamente nos cambiaron de habitación a la que habíamos y pudimos elegir una de las más lindas y sin olor a humedad.

La vue et le calme de ce logement est magique. Super emplacement avec accès direct dans les rue calme et les rizières depuis un petit escalier.

We always appreciate staying in Ben’s Homestay, a hidden gem in central Ubud. the local family who runs the place is super cute, friendly and welcoming. this time we stayed in a family 2 story room, it was clean, comfy beds, 2 bathrooms and a lovely terrace. the place has a short cut to the rice fields walk, very comfy if you want to avoid central ubud street fuss. great value for money

Posizionato in zona centrale, è collocato al termine del vicolo per cui il posto è molto silenzioso. Camera ampia e ben arredata, letto grande con comodo materasso e buona biancheria. La stanza affaccia su un terrazzino con comodo divano su cui sdraiarsi per relax, tavolo e sedie. La famiglia che lo gestisce è molto gentile. Lo consiglio

Si tratta di una casa all'interno di una kuren, la tipica casa balinese . L'atmosfera è fantastica, il giardino che la circonda è incantevole. La strada di accesso è molto rumorosa e trafficata, ma appena si mette piede nella proprietà regna la pace. Casa spaziosa e pulita. Bellissima la terrazza e anche il portico. Gentilissimi i proprietari. Ci torneremo.

I spent in this homestay only one night with my husband and son but in my opinion it is very nice. The rooms were clean and neat. Nice surroundings - very green in the garden. The place is in the center where you can find different restaurants and some shops. The breakfast served by host was tasty.

The property was well located - walking distance to main district of Ubud , the palace and the rice fields. The manager was incredibly helpful with organising things to around the area.

We booked two rooms as we were traveling as a group of three—one on the upper floor and one on the ground floor. The room upstairs was clean and comfortable. No complaints. The ground-floor room looked also nice but had a very strong damp smell. We spoke to the friendly owners, and luckily, we were able to switch to another upstairs room after one night. The accommodation features a beautiful garden and is tucked away in a backyard, making it very quiet. However, it is still close to many restaurants and supermarkets.

Minor things like having to ask for toilet paper, no clean towels, bugs (cockroaches & ants), and the shower was clogged. Additionally, our toothbrushes were taken, and when we asked the owner, she denied taking them, but her son kindly bought us new ones. However, when we woke up in the morning our toothbrushes were left outside our room, which is strange and raises concerns about other things being taken from our room.. Felt a bit observed in general, and the owner would unexpectedly enter the room to turn the AC off (even if we left for a second), but nothing got cleaned/changed.

Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, super schön grün, wie in einer kleinen Oase. Wir hatten zu dritt eine Villa und hatten super viel Platz, zwei Badezimmer, zwei Schlafzimmer, eine Terasse unten und eine oben. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Ins Zentrum von Ubud musste man ein bisschen laufen, aber man ist dafür auch nicht direkt an der super befahrenen Straße und ist trotzdem schnell an Supermärkten, Cafés, Restaurants. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, hat uns Papaya geschenkt und täglich die Zimmer gereinigt. Insgesamt recht einfach, aber mit sehr viel Liebe eingerichtet und sehr sauber

Das Badezimmer unten hat keine Duschwanne, dadurch wird der Boden sehr nass. In der Dusche war der Wasserdruck sehr schwach und der Schlauch zu kurz, außerdem kein Duschvorhang. Im Badezimmer ist das Fenster offen, hier könnte ein Mückenschutz angebracht werden.

A very nice place, close to city center and to the rice fields walk, but lost in nature. The family is very nice. And the room as everything you need for 4 people. Good breakfast too. I will definitely come back here for another trip in Ubud.

Such a lovely stay the family were so lovely making you feel right at home; little things like when I left my clothes on the airing rack in the bathroom but came back to them having given us an additional rack for the balcony with clothes drying out in the sun were just great. The location was great only 5 mins from ubud palace and with loads of great restaurants along the road. The room was very clean and was cleaned every day. I loved their breakfast every morning served up on our balcony 50k for fruit salad, tea/coffee and a delicious veg omelette on toast or a banana coconut pancake which was great. The room was very comfortable with four pillows, sheets, blankets and a mosquito net. Air conditioning and a ceiling fan worked perfectly.

The bathroom didn’t have soap.

Nos alojamos en Ben’s Homestay y fue una experiencia excelente. El lugar es muy limpio, cómodo y está a poca distancia caminando del centro, lo cual lo hace muy práctico. Además, en la misma calle hay un restaurante italiano muy bueno que recomendamos probar. Ben y su familia fueron encantadores, siempre dispuestos a ayudar. Incluso nos organizaron el traslado a las islas Gili, lo cual facilitó mucho nuestro viaje. El desayuno fue delicioso. ¡Muy recomendable para una estancia auténtica y tranquila en Ubud!

Sehr stadtnah, liegt im Hinterhof, sehr ruhig. Sehr freundliche Familie. Toller Garten. Perfekter Ort um sich von dem Trubel zurückziehen. Direkt vor dem Zimmer ist eine kleine Terrasse mit Daybed und Sitzgelegenheit. Das W-LAN ist leider nicht immer so stabil aber alles andere wiegt mehr auf. Wenn man auf der hinteren Seite runtergeht, gibt es gleich ein Café mit gutem Angebot. Ein paar Meter weiter gibt es einen Supermarkt und nach ca. 400 Meter fängt die Marktstrasse an. Es ist alles sehr schnell und gut zu erreichen. Auch zu Fuss.

Très chouette homestay familial. Ben et sa famille sont très sympathiques et vous accueillent avec le sourire. Très bien localisé dans Ubud et eau chaude, et baignoire dans la salle de bain. Merci beaucoup !

The homestay is in a traditional Balinese property surrounded by a lush garden full of flowers. The rooms are really nice, clean, functional and comfortable. The place is very quiet yet at a walking distance from the busy distance. Ben the owner makes all the difference, he is very helpful and knowledgeable, was able to recommend a wonderful place just 10min away for a beautiful breakfast on the rice fields, recommended places to visit around and things to do. I wish I could have stayed a few more days, the place is so relaxing

Ben’s Homestay is a place to feel home far away from home ☺️ They are a lovely family taking care of everything you need, not just in your room. Still, they help you how to navigate best in Bali with valuable tips and even transportation if needed. I finally extended my stay with them and enjoyed every day in Ubud. It’s walking distance from the centre and far enough to enjoy peace and nature in their beautiful Eden garden 🧚‍♂️ The rice fields are only 10 mins by walk, too - perfect location, clean property, delicious breakfast and complete care to feel yourself safe and happy even if it's your first time in Ubud or Bali. Everything was perfect 🙏🏼

It’s a nice place to stay in Ubud, very close to the center, everything walkable. Hidden in the backyard so you can’t hear the noise from the street. Still you can hear the shows in the palace a bit. Ben and his family were really nice and friendly. The rooms and bathrooms are big and you have everything you need.

The bed is quite hard

The rooms are huge, clean and beautiful. The area is quiet and the beds are comfortable.

I didn't feel very welcome there - the interactions felt very transaccional. A big contrast with other homestays in Ubud, where the families were really sweet and interested in their guests.

Nach einem kurzen Spaziergang durch eine sehr schöne typisch balinesische Gartenanlage fanden wir zu unserem Zimmer. Relativ zentral und doch erholsam ruhig. Frühstück konnte nicht überzeugen, aber es gibt tolle Angebote in der Nähe.

מיקום מושלם, חדר מרווח, מקלחת גדולה, מים חמים, מיטה נוחה. היה חסר מקרר אבל נסבל לחלוטין. בעלי המקום מאוד אדיבים. הארכנו את השהות.

יש שקע חשמל אחד בחדר ואחד במקלחת. קשה להטעין שני מכשירים במקביל. תמורה מצוינת למחיר.

Los anfitriones súper amables, me ayudaron a ir a Nusa Penida con muy buen precio, estuve solo una noche. El lugar es bonito, es un home stay no un hotel como tal, pero es un modelo muy utilizado en Ubud.

I killed a large cockroach in the room for the first time in my life and spent the entire morning doing laundry and cleaning things before I moved.

Such a beautiful place hidden away from the road in a gorgeous garden. Wonderful family and really helpful. Highly recommend it.

A magical and peaceful area in the midst of Ubud’s whirlwind. I got sick while we were there,Ben and his wife were super kind, and patient. They were also very flexible with lenghtening our stay. Warm hospitality and always delicious breakfast. We really felt like we came home. Highly recommended! 🙏

El lugar es muy bonito y está muy bien ubicado. Sé a del centro pero a la vez lejos del bullicio. Las habitaciones son amplias y tienen su balcón donde te llevan el rico desayuno en la mañana y puedes retozar en las tardes. El AC funciona muy bien.

La ducha es un hilito de agua del cual no puedes regular la temperatura. O está hirviendo o está fría. El desayuno no está a la hora que lo pides, si no que al menos 15 a 30 minutos más tarde, lo que puede afectar tus actividades diarias sobre todo con un taxi contratado. Lo que más nos afectó fue que habiendo avisado que llegaríamos a las 01:30, y confirmándonos que estarían esperándonos, no hubo nadie y fue un caos a esa hora de la madrugada para nosotros no tener donde estar. El administrador se disculpó diciendo que había apagado su celular, por lo que o escuchó nuestras llamadas. El hotel tiene mucho potencial, pero le falta profesionalismo y detalles como que te dejen una botella de agua, o jabón, para mejorar.
