Loved everything other than the smokers around the small pool courtyard every evening. Please make them smoke outside the hotel. Other than that first class.
Way breakfast ever and staff friendly the pool was a bit disappointing
From the moment we walked in the door, there was something about this place and the staff. They were absolutely amazing. They remembered my name from check in and welcomed me back by name every time I came back.
Generally excellent service by all staff.
This place exceeded our expectations. We were welcomed by kind and helpful staff. The location was perfect for walking around to see many temples and to get food. The pool although very small and cool was perfect at the end of day to cool quickly. The room was very clean. Breakfast was excellent.
The staff were so very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast. Location was good. We felt safe and clean during our stay.
Awesome stay staff were very polite and always helpful. Convenient area to stay and walk to surrounding local food and massage. Room was clean and spacious.
Thank you for a lovely stay. Room, shower, location and all the staff so very much helpful. Will definitely come again! Highly recommend
Everything exceeded my expectations. Because the hotel's environmental, service and breakfast are all excellent, value for money, so that’s why I recommend! We had a great vacation there!
Great place to stay. Everything we needed for an 18 night stay. Convenient for old town. Tea coffee making in the room. Fridge, Comfy big bed, excellent breakfast. Lovely staff always a welcome back after a day out. Thanks to nuna for help with trips and local advice. Excellent value for money.
Very helpful staff; comfortable bed; quiet; great location. Highly recommended
Great value for money and friendly staff
We have been travelling for 3 months staying in 3 or 4 star hotels. This is a budget hotel with clean comfortable rooms and a 5 star al a carte breakfast, with super friendly helpful staff. It’s centrally located, so perfect for exploring. Staff will book day trips and give a 10% discount. Pool clean but small (just 2 sun loungers) guest with mobility issues will need to request a room on the lower floors as no lift. Overall exceptional value and a wonderful stay highly recommended
The staff are incredible Super helpful and very friendly Breakfast is amazing Great location for many things to walk to
The staff is what made this a top notch experience. Help with tours, and even getting postcards mailed. Breakfast was also excellent.
We loved our stay at Chedi Home. The staff were amazing. They helped us with taxis, booking tours, getting into a spa last minute, and our laundry. The breakfast was amazing! They had the best orange juice in all of Thailand in our opinion. The lunch and dinner menu at the hotel were also very good and cheap. The pool is small but cute. The room was perfect we had two full bathrooms and two queen beds. The place was very clean, the staff were always cleaning. We felt safe leaving our valuables in the room and safety deposit box. The location was great, we were only a few minutes away from the night baazar, the spa, and the bus station. The restaurant across the lane way was excellent and cheap. We have nothing bad to say about this place
The breakfast was excellent! Location was perfection. We loved everything about our stay here at Chedi Home. Staff always friendly and willing to help. Thank you!
This is a very nice place to spend some time. The staff is wonderful, will cook you items not on the menu and at prices that are nothing short of terrific. They will do anything they can to make you happy. I enjoyed just sitting by the pool and reading. It is not fancy, it is practical, quaint and economical.
GREAT hotel, amazing breakfasts, helpful staff (got us rides for various sites), clean and comfortable. Have I mentioned the breakfasts?
Nice small boutique hotel in Chiang Mai. Friendly staff, good location and good breakfast. No lift here, so you need to use the stairs and lug your luggage up.
The hotel looks rustic at first, but the room was spotlessly clean with excellent amenities. The staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. The location is perfect, close to everything. The breakfast is wonderful. Highly recommend this hotel; would definitely return.
We stayed at Chedi Home for 5 nights in Jan’20 with our family of 5. The family room has two comfortable king size beds, plus we got a foldaway bed for extra cost. The rooms are compact as are the bathrooms small, but functional and not much storage space, but they are very clean and well serviced. The pool is also small, with only a couple of sun lounges. The location is excellent with just a short maybe 500m walk to reach the old town one way and a 1km walk the other way to get to the night market, every night. Any shortcomings of the facilities is more than offset by the friendliness and service of the staff and the amazing breakfasts. Can’t possibly eat all of the food (usually sticky rice, fruit plate, choice of cooked breaky plate plus drink). Actually, we’ve traveled a fair bit and I’ll say this is the best breakfast that we’ve had included anywhere. The staff are always smiling and helpful, “Jar” was excellent at organising tours for us, with all tours booked via the hotel at 10% discount. If you can do without the luxury pool, thoroughly recommend the experience with Chedi home and put the savings on accommodation to tours and experiences.
Quaint little property in great location. Very friendly staff. Comfortable rooms. Fantastic breakfast is included. Didn’t want to leave. Will definitely be back!
I can honestly say this place was my favorite because it felt like home. The staff here are super sweet and so helpful. We can't wait to go back and stay here again. I have to add the beds are hard but we didn't mind it at all.
Great location! Very clean. The staff was very helpful.
Freindly and very welcoming amenities were very good .
Good place to stay for the price great staff outstanding food
Nice small hotel near the Old City on a soi off the main road near the Thapae Gate. Small but beautiful swimming pool. Improved from previous visit a year ago. Great breakfast, good coffee and nice staff.
Cozy little place near everything. Great breakfast.
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was absolutely amazing, everyone was so kind and friendly. The hotel itself was excellent - super clean, comfortable, has a pool, a gym, etc. and it had a really great atmosphere. The free morning breakfast was delicious and included a hot meal, lots of fresh fruit, and beverages. The location is great, very close to big landmarks and easy to access the airport. The value for price was fantastic as well. Really no complaints, we definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again if we have the chance.
Very enjoyable stay. Not very soundproofed (Could hear my neighbors conversations and would have to drown them out with my music.) but other than this I have no complaints.Great for booking tours from also! Plus cleaning staff were very happy and friendly.
nice little hotel close to chiang mai city walls. staff are great and very helpful with booking tours or even tips on where to visit. Their breakfast was amazing with a lot of options. While the streets can look deserted at night, safety was not an issue.
Very friendly helpful staff. Delicious breakfast with excellent coffee. Location walking distance to old city and lots of restaurants. Perfect for exploring the lanes. Only negative is people allowed to smoke around the pool.
Friendly and helpful staffs. They prepared delicious breakfast with love, and beautiful and colourful presentation from various exotic fruits. I know they are proud of it.
We had adjoining room with my mom. This place was amazing! The cleanliness, service and breakfast were over the top. I do wish the air con was a bit cooler but overall I loved it here. We keep comparing all other hotels to this place because it was so nice. Pool was cool and refreshing, iced lattes were yummy, location was also nice. Thanks for a great stay in Chiang Mai!
I had given a lesser review before but after staying a night there I completely changed my mind. The staff is unbelievable and the breakfast is the best. The pool is small and there isn’t an elevator. If you stay there resquest a lower floor.
Very nice staff and the included breakfasts are amazing! Clean rooms.
Jar, who was at reception is the main manager of the property. If you want something doing, ask Jar and it will be done. And she is pretty too.
Friendliness and homeliness of the property. The person taking breakfast orders needs to be more organised. I suggest they number tables, and note down the orders from each so they don't make mistakes.
Breakfast was wonderful and staff could not have been more friendly. Location was great near markets, street food stands and restaurants. Excellent air conditioning. If you are wanting a pool it is much smaller than pictures shows.
Great breakfast choices
We spent three nights at Chedi Home and found it a perfect spot from which to enjoy Chiang Mai. Our kids loved the pool and the complimentary breakfasts were nothing short of spectacular!
We had another fantastic stay at Chedi Home, it was wonderful having a room on the ground floor, the room was spotlessly clean and quiet, complimentary drinking water was very appreciated. I think it would be good to have 2 teacups provided as there is a kettle. There was one cup but 2 of us, no problem as we just asked for a second one. Complimentary toiletries are really nice and the breakfasts are truly amazing! The food is fresh and plentiful, fresh fruits and thai desserts as well as choices of cooked and uncooked. You will not find a better breakfast in Chiang mai!! The location is perfect for us, easy stroll into the Old City, cafes everywhere, transport on your door step. Thank you everyone for another fantastic stay, can't wait to return!
We loved the location, staff, comfy bed, cleanliness and service. Breakfast was great and the vibe was relaxed and welcoming. The only thing we didn’t care for was the stairs leading up to our room (separate wing). They were quite steep. We could do them but others may not. Just double check your room location if steep stairs are an issue.
Small but perfectly placed hotel, great breakfast, staff always at hand to help. Room large and comfortable bed
Excellent customer service . Stayed there 5 nights and loved it . Breakfast is an experience itself . Staff is always attentive to your needs and they’re all super kind and efficient. We also booked our tours directly at the hotel and they were all good. Location is good with much of sightseeing at walking distance.. Great value hotel !!
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the staff was fantastic, the food especially breakfast was amazing, the downstairs area was very relaxing in the midst of city life. We found our room to be rather small, it was tight with two adults with two full sized suitcases. Also the walls seemed to be paper thin, we could hear everyone walking past our room and our neighbors in their room. Made for some difficult sleep A couple of nights.
Great 2/3 star hotel. Very helpful staff.. Good breakfast. Lots of food opps near by.
A nice friendly welcoming hotel close to all amenities. The breakfast choice was very good and the smoothies were delicious. Towards the end of our stay there was some alteration to the building layout which created a bit of noise but it didn’t hinder our enjoyment
Very nice hotel... Can’t believe its 2.5 star, room was big with balcony, tasty and healthy breakfast. Staff were really helpful and amazing. Reasonable price.
It did the job for the night. Great breakfast included!
Do not stay in room 1116 !! It has doorway linking your hotel room to the nextdoor hotel room with little to no sound proofing. I could hear the Spanish guests entire conversations and they were not speaking loud. When they arrived home late at night, I woke up and when I woke up early in the morning, they (no doubt) woke up with me. Other than this the breakfast and the location was great.
Great location, easy to get to the old city walls and the Sunday walking street market. The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was by far the best we had on our travels! Fresh smoothies and a good selection of fresh tropical fruit served with a hot food option. They could get rid of all the plastic straws with all the drinks though. It was nice having the small pool to take a dip after a day walking around. Only downside was there was building work going on whilst we were there which meant it was quite noisy during parts of the day and spoilt the relaxing atmosphere. We would definitely return!
Loved Chedi Home Chiang Mai. Stayed for 3 nights initially and went back for a 3rd night for a quick stopover back in Chiang Mai. Small, quaint hotel that is walking distance to the old town. Also, plenty of shops and eateries on the same street. The staff was lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was great with fresh fruit and coffee. Would definitely go back to stay at Chedi Home.
Great breakfasts included. Wifi worked well. Room was comfortable, though the bed was two mattresses pushed together. The bathroom was alright, though the water pressure had some issues. Air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool due to the room size.
Pool was like a large bath and limited parking in very narrow streets. Ground floor room with no view but comfortable, clean large beds. Fantastic breakfadt and from the menu, not an awful buffet.
They have managed to jam a lot into a very small space. The pool is small but an absolute god send. Breakfast comes with a generous amount of good quality fruit and great fresh drinks like mango smoothies, the coffee is not good though. The staff are excellent and saved us a significant amount of money by organizing a tuktuk for us instead of an overpriced tour.
The staff was great and very helpful had a very good time at breakfast
Breakfast is the strongest point to stay at Chedi (pronounced as Jedi). Very yummy main course plus a wide range of drinks included. Bicycle is free to use and pretty convenient to get around, as I do not have a motorbike license. The downside is it may be too popular to book with my compliment posted here. 😂
This little hotel is so nice. The rooms are big and very comfortable, with lots of free water provided which was great. Pool area is really nice, and the breakfast is amazing. Location is also excellent.
very cozy hotel . detail oriented with fresh flowers in the room. lots of bottled water and many other extras. super friendly and helpful staff and 5* gourmet breakfast.
Such a cute and cozy hotel. It's in a great location, within walking distance to the night market. If you're planning to go to the elephant sanctuary, they'll pick you up right at the hotel. The breakfast is AMAZING!
Friendly helpful staff, many generous inclusions (unlimited drinking water, free bicycles, pool, gym), exceptional generous breakfast.
everything is wonderful, it will be the only one choose when i go chiangmai again
Beautiful hotel, modern design and amenities are updated. The staff was helpful and friendly and the free breakfast was delicious.
Perfect location, so walkable to so many things. Room was clean with AC, staff was super nice. Would definitely recommend
Upon arrival until the time we left we couldn't have been more happier with Chedi home! Very well cared for and maintained hotel with modern fittings and grounds opposite a beautiful Chedi. The girls on the reception counter we always smiling friendly and welcoming to any of my silly questions and very helpful! The included set breakfast from the menu was good quality and made to order and was more than I can eat ...and I'm greedy haha! I strongly recommend this hotel next time I am in Chiang Mai I would certainly stay here again with out a second thought! ...well done Chedi Home! :)
Good hotel close to Old Town & markets.
Excellent and nice breakfasts sets serving with drinks and fresh fruits. Good location, walk about 10 mins can reach Sunday night market and china town. Room was small but clean, and the swimming pool is small too, suitable for young kids only , not really for swimming.
I enjoyed the location of Chedi Home as it was very close to old town and several very nice restaurants. It was also a short walk to the river. Unfortunately, the room itself did not look like any of the pics on their website and you can hear people coming and going and not just on your floor but from other floors as there is no carpet in the hotel and sounds travel quite loudly. Also, I wasn't pleased that there was a hole in the middle of my hotel room door.
Booked for 3 nights and stayed 6. Excellent place to stay. Rooms really comfortable with great attention to detail. Breakfasts are to die for. The fruit bowl was awesome. Great coffee as well. We booked 2 day trips and enjoyed the 10%discount. Good location just outside the old city. We enjoyed using the free bikes.
Great location, kind and helpful staff, beautiful lobby/dining area, clean, comfy bed and fantastic breakfasts! We would not hesitate to recommend this jewel, or go back ourselves. Thank you Chedi Home!!
The location was just out of the city walls and within walking distance to most things. The Hotel is quirky and pretty, beds firm but very comfortable and breakfast was amazing. Perhaps insulation is not the best as you can hear other guests co ing and going, but a small point as we were very pleased with the hotel and staff
Awesome location close to the old town. Room was small. It lacked comfortable seating and clothes storage but we slep well.
fine , only complaint is that room is small and gets hot with sun in window during the day . because room is small bathroom could use fan for privacy noise . ha ha
Tucked away from hustle and bustle but only a block from the main road. Lots of restaurants and stores close by. The pool is open til 10pm but can be a bit bigger. Staff is very friendly. The workers at the reception desk speak very good english. Their free breakfast is excellent. If you book activities/trips through hotel, you get 10% off. We booked our zipline experience at Jungle Flight with them.
I’m Thai come with best friends. everything's perfectly, stuffs so sweet, full option breakfast and beverages, small place but high quality and I love that.
absolutely spot on a deserves the 3.5 star. room was a wee bit small fir storage etcbut everything else made up for that!! beautiful room with amazing balcony to sit out on. location was superb and staff were second to none. couldn't have been more helpful and wow... breakfast to die for!!! absolutely amazing stay and will definitely definitely return here when we are back in Chaing Mai . thank you for a wonderful stay xxxx
Overall a decent little place with no frills. Breakfast was not bad, but the room layout was very strange and there were no washcloths to be had. We stayed in the corner room overlooking the road on the 3rd floor and it was very noisy. Traffic picked up around 4am and the gaps in the deck door let a lot of noise through. But, had great prices for the room and beers.
Delicious breakfast - local fresh fruits and changing desserts everyday + wonderful drinks such as a whole coconut or fruit smoothie. Unfortunately the pool was under maintenace for the first few days. Very small pool area - not ideal for privacy. Not the best location - a few minutes walk from the old city walls however a much longer walk to sights such as temples and markets. Room was small but comfortable.
Pleasant, comfortable and a good location. Small pool, weak gym, but excellent breakfast and nice staff.
We enjoyed oure stay very much the best of all was the breakfast wich was exelent
When we entered the room it was nice but not 22 square meters as advertised - it was a small corner room about 12 square meters. We asked to be moved but the person at reception explained it was the last room left. However we were moved the following night and the room was bigger. I think the booking websites should differentiate between the different sized standard rooms as they were all different sizes (we stayed in 3 'standard' rooms while we were there). Negatives: the shower pressure is light and doesn't get too hot. The sound proofing is bad as it was very noisy outside our room with babies screaming and doors slamming. Positives: The bed is comfortable and the breakfast is excellent - all cooked to order and it included a fruit platter and dessert. Overall I would say it's very good value for money because of this included breakfast.
This is a great budget hotel in an excellent location. Within walking distsnce to night market, warorot markets, Tha Pae Gate and riverside. Staff are friendly and helpful and an excellent breakfast with eggs your way, bacon, sausage, toast, a selection of spreads, more fruit than you can eat and drink of your choice uncluding coffee, fresh juice or smoothie. Rooms were clean and spacious, only downside is the hard beds, but same as rest of Asia. Would definitely recommend.
This was a charming place to Stay. I was there about 12 nights. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. The two ladies at the front desk were the best. They spoke English well. About a 15 min. Walk to the night market and walking Bazaar. Very quiet. Only drawbacks no elevator. I was on the fourth floor. Well, my legs were stronger by the time I left so I guess that's a perk.
This was a great hotel overall and would stay there again. The staff was I incredibly nice and helpful, and the room was centrally located. The room itself is nice and had a beautiful view. The bed was large but very firm, bordering on uncomfortable. I was not able to sleep on my side without hurting my hip. There was also no curtain between the shower and toilet, but you get used to it. They provide free water and have the best breakfast that is included. I highly recommend the fruit plate! They also book tours for you with a 10% discount.
I had a long stay at Chedi Home and it was fantastic. The staff were always friendly and accommodating, the food was great and the hotel was in great condition with good WiFi. The location is close the the Night Market, Walking Street market, the nightly North gate street food. Tuk Tuks are close by and there is always Uber as well.
We stayed for three nights at the Chedi Home. The location of the hotel was great and the food for breakfast was even better! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. There was unlimited supply of water and if you wanted to relax in the rooms they had good movie channels in English. Staff was helpful in planning excursions. Now, to be CRITICAL. The pool was a lot smaller than shown in the pictures, rooms/bathrooms were a little small/outdated, bed covers were slightly dirty upon arrival but when asked to change them they did it without hesitation. Overall, we were happy with our stay at Chedi Homeo and would stay there again.
Nice hotel in a good location, delicious selection of fruit each morning.
It was perfect
When I arrived, hot & tired, I was greeted by such friendly staff & a cool drink. And someone strong to carry my luggage to the 4th floor! I came early, before check-in time, but my room was ready & they didn't even mention that I was early. They helped me immediately with 3 tours for each day I would be with them. So very kind & helpful! The food here was better than ANY other restaurant I went to. I should have just eaten ALL my meals here!
We had an amazing stay at Chedi Hotel! From the reception to the room, breakfast and amenities we only have great memories to share. The room was big, bed comfortable, toiletries provided. We had a regular room and it come with a kettle, instant coffee, stationary little safe, strong aircon, hairdryer and an iron. Breakfast is to die for. You have a great variety of smoothies and juices as well as delicious fruit plates and little delicacies which are different everyday. The coffee is delicious and it comes directly from the owner's farm... (as a note, the straight coffee they serve it's a double expresso which can give you quite a jolt! :) Chedi is very close to the east gate of the mote (the Old Chiang Mai) and street vendors with delicious meals for less than $2 us. At the reception, Jar and Jai speak english very well and can book your bus to Pai or different day trips around the city. Chiang Mai streets can be very noisy due to cars, motorbikes and tuk-tuks roaming around but Chedi is on the quieter side as it's tucked in, away from the main road. The only things to bare in mind are: you might need to step down to get into the restroom, the shower gets hot really fast and lastly, you may want to cover the shower drain with a little plate when not in use to avoid bad odors.
Although I did book a non smoking room (by mistake), there was no prominent non smoking warning sign in the room but page of notes contain several lines of fine ranging from Thb 2,000 to 10,000 for no smoking, urinating on bed, etc etc., pasted on a wall that did not catch occupier's eyes. Why can't it be pasted above the key-card slot, then no one can argue they did not see it. At the time of checking out, the counter staff demanded that I pay Thb 2,000 as fine. I reasoned with her with above reasons but she refused to listen and threatened to call the police. After much arguing and her call to her employer, she finally asked for Thb 1,000. Because I was rushing to the railway station, I gave in. This was my first time to Chiangmai and my joy visiting the city turned into distaste and displeasure. What an experience with this hotel.
Lovely, clean hotel with great access to old city and night market. Spent 4 nights here during the Thai New Years, enjoying the location both for its access to the action and its isolation from the action. Breakfasts were delicious with lots of fruit and great coffee. Pool added a nice ambience and a great place to cool off. Staff was friendly and helpful. A truly delightful spot.
great staff / location / breakfast / accommodation
I stayed in a hostel in Chiang Mai prior to arriving here, I'd read the reviews before booking so my expectations of Chedi home were quite high! I booked two nights and was really looking forward to their extremely friendly service (as per reviews). I'm sad to say that my expectations were let-down by average service... On arrival; I was slightly early. I was told to 'sit there' by reception staff, pointing at the seating area. There was one other nice lady who gave me a welcome drink though. Fair enough, I was early and didn't mind sitting and waiting. When my room was ready, the lady at the desk informed me and gave me my key... Instead of assisting me with my bags & showing me around the place (it's not the clearest signposting to rooms), the lady told me 'second floor' and proceeded to allow me to lug my heavy suitcase upstairs... Service? :S Lovely room, the bed was super comfy and I can't fault the room - honestly. BUT considering they knew I was coming and got my room ready whilst I was there, the air con had not been put on!!! The heat blasted me and it took about 15 minutes for the room to get cool - not good for someone who's travelled miles from Bangkok in the heat. Breakfast was tasty. Around 16:00 the day before my early flight at 6.30am the following day, I asked if they would be able to do my laundry in time for the flight tomorrow, and that I'd pay extra for express. I was flat out told no. Very unhelpful! Doubt I'll be staying again in future.
Nice family hotel. Lots of noise from street. Great breakfast and friendly staff.
Very nice small boutique hotel with friendly staff. Beds are very hard and street side rooms are very LOUD...motorcycle and scooters. Internet access spotty.
The most fluffy banana pancakes ever!!! Breakfast was from the menu and every morning we received a surprise with breakfast either a fruit platter or mango sticky rice. A lovely personal touch! Cha, the receptionist lady, was very helpful with answering all our questions and assisted with booking our bus transfer from Chiangmai to Chiangrai. Her English was very good. We had a lovely spacious bedroom with kitchenette and sitting area. Also had a little bar fridge with complimentary water daily. Aircon worked great. The Thai style bathroom was very spacious but needed a shower curtain.
The staff is amazing and the breakfast is amazing!
