Amoya Inn is definitely a place worth staying in Ubud. We came back after four years and stayed here again for almost a month, which probably says a lot about how much we like this place. It is a small and charming property with only eight rooms, a beautiful green garden and a shared swimming pool. One of the biggest advantages is the size of the rooms. They are very spacious, and it is difficult to find rooms this large in Ubud in this price range. We stayed on the third floor and had a beautiful view of the garden and the surrounding greenery. The location is also excellent. Amoya Inn is right in the centre of Ubud, but it is set back from the main street and you reach it by walking through a traditional Balinese family compound. Because of this, it is surprisingly quiet and peaceful, even though restaurants, shops and the busy centre of Ubud are only a short walk away. The staff are very kind and helpful, the breakfasts are good, everything is clean, and the garden and pool make it a very pleasant place to relax. We really enjoyed our second long stay here and would definitely recommend Amoya Inn.

As this was our second stay after four years, we could see that some parts of the rooms are starting to show their age. The rooms would benefit from some small renovations and maintenance. There were some scratches and marks on the walls, a few places where the paint needs refreshing, and some furniture needed simple repairs, such as a drawer that did not work properly and damaged hinges in the wardrobe. These are small things and they did not spoil our stay, but they become more noticeable when staying for several weeks. Most of them also seem quite easy to repair, so we hope the rooms will receive a little refresh in the future. The main issue for us was the bathroom. The water pressure was quite low and it was sometimes difficult to get a comfortable water temperature in the shower – the water could quickly change from very hot to cold. We reported the problem with the water pressure, but unfortunately it was not fully resolved during our stay. These issues did not change our overall very positive experience. We still really like Amoya Inn and would happily recommend it. We only hope that some small maintenance and renovation will help this lovely place keep its high standard for many more years.

L’orario abbastanza limitato della reception La struttura “in ristrutturazione” rendeva l’ambiente un po’ angusto La piscina posizionata in mezzo alle camere non invita assolutamente a farsi il bagno: l’ambiente è ricavato dentro ad un vecchio cortile di abitazione tipica balinese. Non c’è l’ascensore per raggiungere le camere, ed è un problema quando hai valigie da 20kg e devi arrivare al terzo piano.

Small hotel, pretty environment and outlook, nice pool, lovely staff, central location, quiet, large and comfortable room with balcony, nice breakfast included. Reasonable cost. Very few insects. Good air con and wifi.

It wasn't a problem for us, but be aware you must walk to the hotel from the street down a narrow alley and through a sort of temple area. There are steps up and down and gateways that might make arrival challenging for people with mobility issues or large suitcases, and if your room is on an upper floor there is no lift (staff will help with suitcases). Breakfast is ordered the day before from a menu, and it is delivered to your room at your requested time in the morning--a lovely touch that might not suit everyone. Some parts of the room and building are looking tired. Our toilet lid looked like part of it might have been in a fire. The pool is small. Don't expect 4- or 5-star accommodation and amenities, and you'll be fine.

Everything was great. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The pool was relaxing. Tje staff were fantastic. The location was perfect too, right in the middle of the main sights in Ubud but very quiet and calm and set back from the street.

Lille og hyggeligt sted. Vi havde et stort værelse med direkte udgang til en meget hyggelig pool. Beliggenheden er i gåafstand til det meste. Fx Monkey Forrest, ridgewalk, market osv. Søde personaler. Fin morgenmad.

Breakfast was good, selected the day before and served outside. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff were lovely.

The TV was terrible, only a few channels to pick from. The swimming pool looked inviting but no steps to get in or out. Access to the property was a bit of an obstacle course, down a long lane (it was lit at night) and up and down steps. Hard for us being an older couple.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was surprisingly large, very comfortable, and had everything we needed, including a fridge and a good shower. Breakfast was brought directly to our room because the restaurant was under renovation, which actually turned out to be a nice and convenient touch. The hotel grounds are quite small but pleasant, and there is also a swimming pool, although we didn’t have a chance to use it. The location is very good, and overall we felt very comfortable throughout our stay.

It was a little difficult to find our way around when we first arrived. The hotel is set among traditional Balinese-style courtyards, with narrow entrances and rather limited lighting, so it wasn’t immediately obvious where to go. A few more signs around the property would make arrival much easier, especially for first-time guests. Communication with the reception staff via WhatsApp could sometimes be difficult, as replies were occasionally very slow, and sometimes we didn’t receive a response at all.

One of the more comfortable beds I've come across on the trip.

We booked for nights but left after one. Between the rock band next door shaking the joint till midnight and the cigarette smoke coming in through the bathroom window which has no way of closing one night was enough. I am asthmatic so not being able to escape the room smoke was a deal breaker. Breakfast cereal with milk being served with a fork was also an interesting touch.

Budget hotel in Ubud, but the beds were better than the moderate hotel we had in Kuta. Hair-dryer on request. Beautiful breakfast, included in price. Pool clean. Staff very friendly and polite.

I prefer a shower not in a bath or near the toilet. But still had hot water. Construction site viewed from balcony, but we were away during the day, so didn't bother us.

Fabulous location. Out of the loud hustle and bustle but just a short walk to warungs and shopping. Lovely family run place who were attentive and helpful. Breakfast on our balcony was superb, very tasty. Would recommend and would stay again.

Ubudun tam merkezindeydi . merkeze bu kadar yakın olup bu kadar sessiz bir alanda olması gerçekten çok iyiydi. araç kiralama konusunda da bize yardımcı oldular tatilimiz boyunca kullandığınız motoru otelden kiraladık fiyat olarak gayet uygundu yardımcı oldular. Çalışanlar çok tatlı ve güler yüzlüler. temizlik çok titiz yapılıyor. İsteğe göre her gün yapıyorlar .Biz hiçbir sorun yaşamadık yaşadığımız ufak problemlerde de çabucak çok çözümcül bir şekilde yaklaşıp hemen hallettiler problemi. Yolumuz tekrar umuda düşerse tekrar orada kalacağız.

Kahvaltı oldukça yeterliydi fakat Türk mutfağı kahvaltısı eklemeyi düşünebilirsiniz eminim daha çok sevilecektir :)

A great location close to everything & all within easy walking distance. The rooms are generously proportioned, clean & well laid out. Breakfast was served to the room/balcony & consisted of substantial offerings with a good choice for all. The pool is small however refreshing & enough to cool off after a hot days exploring Buds wonders.

A room safety box (safe) would make this room complete as there was no real security for passport & money or jewellery etc.

It felt very homely and it was a very convenient location as it was at the heart of Ubud.

Even though staff were super supportive and of great help with carrying suitcase it could come in handy if they had a lift.

It is close to the ubud Center and monkey forest. Staff was very helpful and kind. Having choice on breakfast.

The water of the bathroom and toilet was very weak. Bathroom is not usefull. But okey.

The location is perfect, you can walk to the monkey forest and to Merlin’s for dinner! The staff are incredibly kind. I got sick during my stay and they let me stay another night. The breakfasts were beautiful! The pool was so cool as well!

I think maybe there is a club or some sort of place playing music at night time close by( this is not Amoya inns fault at all) just bring ear plugs and you’ll be sweet

Authentic Homestay, 8 rooms around a small pool area, which was a welcoming sight after travelling. Property is set off the road and accessed by a small passageway. Room was very spacious and clean. We decided to upgrade to Deluxe Poolside Room with a larger bed. We ordered breakfast everyday ( order the night before) which was delivered to our room at the time we requested. Staff were amazing, friendly and welcoming. Helping us arrange trips, taxis and providing information about the local area, even arranging to do our laundry at a small price.

Good staff, nice play to stay, very comfortable

The whole Homestay is beautiful with so many lovely details. The family and employees were all incredibly nice and helpful. The room was enormous with a huge bed, bathroom, extra washing area, huge wardrobes and a lounging area. Everything was clean and the breakfast was tasty too. Definitely a big recommendation!

Nothing was too bad, so take the negative side with a grain of salt. It's just things we felt like worth mentioning. The way to the rooms is quite long and you need to take at least a few steps up and down, if you have one of the rooms on the upper floors it's more. The family helps with the suitcases, but depending on your mobility it might still pose a problem. Our room had a thumb sized open hole in one of the windows, which was a bit annoying, but not too much of a problem. Most other rooms had a seating area outside of their room with a table for breakfast, but ours was the lounging area inside the room. That was good for the one day that it rained but other than that we would've liked to eat outside as well. There's a rather big construction site on the premises. You don't really hear construction noises anywhere as they don't use machinery but there's some people running around with rubble etc and they unloaded it right behind our room.

The hotel is nice, but there is construction work underway at the restaurant. The staff is friendly.

Lizards. Unfortunately, I saw one in the bathroom. The hotel should install a mesh screen in the bathroom window to prevent reptiles from entering the room.

All good, we had some issues with our flight and got there after midnight, they supported us through whatsapp the whole time and helped us check in autonomously, great breakfast taken to our room, and it has a space to park bikes inside too.

Ruhige Oase mitten im sonst lauten Ubud. Obwohl sehr zentral gelegen, waren wir abgeschieden, als wären wir im Urwald. Das Frühstück war super lecker, man konnte zwischen verschiedenen Angeboten wählen. Räume groß, sauber, komfortabel.

Hier gibt es nichts auszusetzen.

スタッフが親切でとても丁寧でした。通りから中の方にあるので昼夜静かな時間が過ごせました。朝食も選べ私はローカルのごはんを選びましたが全て美味しかったです。部屋で食べれたことも良かったです。部屋数も多くはないのでプールもゆったり楽しめました。

私たちの部屋のトイレの蓋が押さえていないと閉じることでした。

The breakfast was amazing! My favourite breakfast in Bali, it was just perfect. You could choose something different every day, and everything was so good. The people working there were also so lovely. If you wanted it, they would clean your room every day too. The room was really big, which we appreciated being a family of 3. They also did our laundry at a very reasonable price. Wifi was good. The location was amazing too, you could walk to most places, or easily get a Grab taxi outside.

There was one blind that let in a lot of light, so our daughter woke up at 6.30am every day. I think this might just be a Bali thing though, as we noticed this is other accommodation too.

Fantastic budget accommodation. Although in central Ubud you wouldn't know it as the pool and gardens make you feel like you are in a remote jungle location with a chilled abience. Lots of good bars and resteraunts within walking distance. Also you can order from a wide variety of breakfast options which are delivered to your room. A real find to stay at.

The walkway from road to hotel is quite small and we were a bit lost to enter hotel concierge.

Lovely property that feels like you are nestled in the jungle, we had the ground floor room right by the pool. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast on the balcony was delicious (we only ate the Balinese breakfast) The hotel itself is only a short walk away from loads of great restaurants and attractions in Ubud. We would highly recommend staying here.

It is very difficult to control the ants in the room. We would wake up with ants in our beds. Staff were helpful and would offer to clean up and spray for ants but it seems that a stronger pest control process would work better.

Location is excellent. It’s very central and also very quiet. We stayed for 5 nights over Nyepi so was ideal to go in and out for pre events. The breakfast was delivered to your room and was extremely hight quality and orientation exceptional.

I liked most about the property was that the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was also very good.

In the evenings, there were at least 4–5 geckos on the ceiling outside the door. During my last two nights, there were also geckos inside my room. The pool was not as good as I expected, and there was no restaurant area.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The American breakfast was pretty good. . The room was spacious with reasonable armchairs. A nice view of the garden. Central location and walkable to shops, restaurants and attractions. Air conditioning worked well especially on low fan at night. The swimming pool looks nice although we didn't use it ourselves.

The room and bathroom are in need of a refurbishment. Many things do not work or are faulty. TV not working, ceiling fan not working, loose electric sockets, bedside lamps flickering, wardrobe door not closing and broken hinge, toilet seat loose, not good lighting for shaving. Every evening there is loud live rock music from a local bar until midnight which is the last thing you need to relax in the room . Pillows are very large and not comfortable. Most of these issues could be easily fixed, but I cannot recommend a stay .

Un hôtel très bien placé au cœur du vieux Ubud. De nombreux restaurants, des cafés et aussi on peut se rendre en marchant auprès des attractions à visiter. Hôtel très propre, une belle piscine, des hôtes incroyables et très gentils. Les déjeuners sont variés et servi dans notre chambre, car le temps où j’y suis allée c’était en construction, donc pas de salle à manger, mais cela n’a pas nuit à mon séjour. Je recommande cet hébergement.
