Gran Hotel Sardinero

I liked the sea view from the room terrace and I liked the secure underground parking We also had a meal at Vestia Napoletana pizza restaurant which was within 10 minutes walk of the hotel, which was excellent

After staying in many different hotels over our two week motorcycle tour, around Spain and Portugal, the welcome/check in just fell short in comparison to our other experiences. It was short, rushed and no expected information provided (like WiFi code or what time breakfast was, we had to either hunt out this information on the website or go back to the reception for this information). I also didn't like the flimsy solitary pillow. By the time we realised there were no additional pillows in the room (like we found in all other hotels we stayed in), we had already been down to reception once to ask for the WiFi code. When you are paying £300 for one night, you want to have some wow factor to your stay and that just wasn't our experience. It's a nice, city hotel that does the basics for a city price.

Mein Mann und ich haben das El Sardinero in Santander ein Familienzimmer für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise gebucht und waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Das Zimmer war gross, bot viel Platz und die Aussicht war wirklich beeindruckend. Auch die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend. Ideal, um die Umgebung bequem zu erkunden. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend, was den Aufenthalt zusätzlich angenehm gemacht hat. Die Terrasse ist sehr gemütlich und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt mit viel Komfort und toller Aussicht. Perfekt für eine Nacht auf der Reise, aber auch ideal um länger zu bleiben.

Ein kleiner Minuspunkt: Das Zimmer war nicht ganz makellos. Im oberen Bad fanden wir einige Fussel, und in der Dusche lag ein Haar. Nichts Dramatisches, aber erwähnenswert.

Que no funcione el restaurante, solo funciona la cafetería y esta no está a la altura del hotel ni de la zona.

The room overlooking the beach was very good.

The lack of tea making facilities and milk in room was disappointing. The buffet breakfast area and quality was not good and failed to be with ing the flour star class of the hotel.

Great view of the casino and beach area. The gardens above las playas del Sardinero were beautiful. Beach towels provided by the Hotel was a bonus. Reception staff very pleasant and helpful. The Bar on the ground was very handy and the waiters were excellent. There is a very good Fish restaurant behind El Casino

La situación y el encanto del edificio.

En recepción se centran en hacerte el checking, sin ninguna información básica de la zona como servicios o taxis, estación, etc. No te informan del tipo de habitación que te dan, con las vistas tan bonitas que tiene el hotel, en muchos alojamientos a los que voy siempre te dan un opción de mejorar la habitación, mi puntuación se basa en esta experiencia y no me sirve lo de en la próxima visita le trataremos bien, eso se hace desde el principio en hotel de esta categoría.

L'emplacement très central, à deux pas de la plage du Sardinero (moins de 100 mètres, il suffit de traverser la rue) et dans l'un des quartiers les plus animés de la ville. Le personnel était de qualité, très à l'écoute. Les infrastructures et équipements sont propres et modernes.

Le petit déjeuner n'est pas au niveau d'un établissement que se veut de ce standing. Trop peu d'options pour les grandes catégories de plats, et présentation très sommaires. Dans les établissements pratiquants ces prix, le petits déjeuners ne sont jamais une déception et toujours un point fort du séjour. Ce n'était pas cas ici.

Nos ha encantado la estancia en este hotel, y la ubicación justo en frente de la playa es simplemente perfecta. Está algo alejado del centro, pero tiene una parada de bus súper cerca y hay varias líneas que te llevan a la estación de tren, lo cual es súper conveniente. Nos guardaron el equipaje antes del check in y tras el check out. La habitación triple súper amplia y cómoda, equipada con todo lo necesario. El desayuno era correcto. Sin duda es una experiencia para repetir!

Quizás esperábamos un poco más de variedad en el buffet de desayuno, pero estaba bien.

Siempre se consigue una estancia inmejorable, cuidando de todos los detalles y nos sentimos muy agusto, sin duda es un hotel al que siempre que vamos a santander nos alojamos en el, ya que nos sentimos muy comodos

En esta ultima estancia, nos toco una habitacion con baño de minusvalido, lo cual lo hace incomodo de utilizar y sobre todo nos preocupo que alguien que realmente pudiera necesitarlo no lo tuviera disponible, para otras veces agradeceriamos recibir confirmacion previa

Teníem vistes a la badia i parades de bus just davant per traslladar-nos per tot Santander i a l'estació d'autobusos. No vam esmorzar a l'hotel però a prop hi havia llocs molt bons.

Vorraum/Innenhof ziemlich clean/kalt. Auf keinen Fall ein Grandhotel. Koffer (3) durften wir selbst rauf schleppen. Frühstück dürftig.

Our experience of the hotel was fabulous, the staff in all areas were super friendly. Those on reception were so welcoming and had first rate customer service skills. Special thanks to Andrea who was always so warm and friendly and organised the on site massage therapist. The breakfast buffet superb, the cafe excellent and the menu of the day in the dining room was amazingly good and value for money. The maitre d was a very nice gentleman.

The only negative from my perspective would be clear signage of the stairs in the event of fire.

A party from the reception the rest of the interior didn’t really match with the lovely facade of the exterior. It was clean and great air con and view from bed the sea but we felt it was expensive for the actual rooms.

The hotel was lovely great room front desk helpful. I rang down to reception to ask for a iron as we were going out to dinner but they said they do not have any. You have to give 24 hours notice and it’s sent out. How very strange they have wedding corporate events but no irons.

Staff on the outside bar just leave you sitting there rubbish on the floor of the terrace both days not a good look. Very slow and unhelpful bar staff because you have to go in because the outside waiter is busy talking.

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Sardinero and would gladly return. It is a charming four-star hotel located directly opposite the beach, with an excellent position in one of the most beautiful areas of Santander. The location is ideal for enjoying the sea, walking along the promenade and exploring the surrounding restaurants and cafés. The city centre is also easy to reach by public transport or taxi. The hotel is elegant, stylishly furnished and has a refined atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated, with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, which made a real difference and ensured an excellent night’s sleep. The service was professional, friendly and efficient. The staff were helpful throughout our stay and made us feel welcome. Everything was well organised, and the overall standard of service matched what we expected from a good four-star hotel. The combination of the beachfront location, elegant interior, comfortable rooms and quality service makes this hotel an excellent choice for a holiday in Santander. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a stylish and relaxing stay by the sea.

L’emplacement. L’endroit est vraiment très beau.

La chambre. Nous étions trois adultes, moi et mes enfants de 20 ans. Nous avons pris une chambre avec lit d’appoint. Nous avons juste la place pour les bagages. Nous avons demandé une chambre plus grande. Ils nous trouve une chambre plus grand pour une différence de 25 euros. Rien par rapport au prix de base plutôt élevé. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi vous avez pas imaginé un surclassement. Je réserve tout mes voyages chez vous depuis des années, pour le travail et pour les vacances et vous dites que nous des privilèges grâce à vous. C’était plutôt décevant

We were travelling through Spain and into Portugal. We arrrived at the ferry port and the hotel was ideal for our requirements. We have stayed at the hotel before and we would recommend it. It is a nice hotel in a good location and the car lift to the car park is unusual and a lot of fun.

Do your research before choosing to stay here if the little things matter to you. e.g no iron and ironing board in the room and none in the hotel at all even on request as it is not hotel policy to provide them. This caused a problem as we were going to a wedding and the outsourcing of laundry of clothing suitable for this occasion didn’t work with their minimum 24 hour period for this service. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Very limited room service times. Only one very flat pillow per person provided. Safe not working on arrival as the battery had expired but this was quickly replaced on request.

Ok frukost, mycket att välja på, mycket frukt men kaffe i automat och lite tråkigt bröd. Vi bodde i en svit och den var stor och fin med stort badrum och fin utsikt mor stranden. Hotellet har ingen trädgård alls utan ligger omgivet av gator. De har ett trevligt cafe med uteservering och god mat med utsikt över havet men du sitter liksom på ett stenigt torg med gator runt omkring... De har valet service för din hyrbil vilket var bekvämt. Bakom hotellet finns en supermarket. Närmaste restaurangen vid strandpromenaden har äcklig mat, undvik. Kaffe och churros med choklad var ok.

Sängarna var bekväma men kuddarna var små och platta.

We loved the view from our room. Because we were travelling by motorcycle the secure parking is excellent. Taxi rank and bus stops were very handy for getting around. With the help of the staff with great local information.

Ich bin grosser Fan vom Gran Hotel Sardinero. Tolle Preisleistung, perfekte Lage direkt am Strand, bequeme 5 Sterne Betten und wunderschöne Zimmer mit tollem Ausbaustandard.

Das einzige was noch ergänzt werden könnte wäre eine Kaffeemaschine auf dem Zimmer

La buena ubicación junto al mar. Los menús del restaurante muy buenos. El encargado del comedor amable y servicial al igual que los camareros.. El acceso al parking en montacargas, muy cómodo. Los desayunos muy aceptables.

La encargada en el desayuno poco amable. Le comentamos de sentarnos en una mesa que estaba sin recoger y nos contestó si sabíamos si estaba desocupada en un tono poco agradable, Íbamos 2 y nos pareció poco correcto ocupar mesas grandes que estaban libres. Había un camarero que era nuevo por como le mandaba. Tampoco nos parecia correcto que le estuviera regañando constantemente y que lo oyeran los clientes El resto de camareros muy correctos y serviciales incluso el nuevo. Desayunamos 5 días.

La habitaciones junior suite es súper cómoda y agradable , tenía vista al mar y es increíble. La ubicación del hotel es muy buena aunque no queda cerca al centro histórico , igual caminando queda a 40 min . Si quieres playa queda en el mejor lugar porque es en frente.
