Staff were not very accommodating and didn’t seem happy, breakfast was limited and repetitive, everything is an extra charge - coffee should be complimentary in the room, yet they will ask you to pay for further coffee pods if you want more. Also, have to pay for sunbeds… which is ridiculous

Besonders begeistert hat uns das Frühstück im Universal Hotel Aquamarin. Neben dem riesigen Buffet mit täglich wechselnden Smoothies überzeugte vor allem die à-la-carte-Karte: Vom Omelette über Eggs Benedict in verschiedensten Variationen bis hin zu Porridges ließ sich alles frisch zubereitet bestellen. Einmal haben wir auch zu Abend gegessen und waren ebenfalls sehr angetan. Da wir viel unterwegs waren, blieb es bei diesem einen Mal, sonst hätten wir das Restaurant sicher öfter besucht. Auch die Cocktails an der Bar waren vorzüglich und die MitarbeiterInnen stets freundlich und zuvorkommend auch im Beach Club. Es gab fast jeden Abend richtig gute live Musik/Unterhaltung! + Traumhafte Sonnenuntergänge!

Etwas schade ist das Parkplatzangebot, denn eine Garage gibt es nicht und Stellplätze auf der Straße sind rar. Zum Glück findet sich unweit ein öffentlicher, kostenloser Parkplatz, der meist am Abend frei wird, sobald die Tagesgäste Sant Elm verlassen. Direkt daneben liegt zudem ein kostenpflichtiger Platz für maximal fünf Euro pro Tag, also alles halb so wild. Am Beach Club waren wir nur ein einziges Mal, denn trotz 40 Prozent Rabatt für Hotelgäste empfanden wir die Preise als ziemlich gesalzen. Die Sonnenbetten stehen auf einer sehr engen Plattform vor dem Hotel, und dem Schatten lässt sich kaum folgen, ohne im Laufe des Tages beim Nachbarn zu landen. Eigenartig war außerdem, dass sich Duschen und Toiletten am Beach Club zwar per Zimmerkarte öffnen ließen, beim erneuten Zutritt aber nicht mehr funktionierten. Der Fitnessbereich ist sehr klein, mehr als zwei Personen können gleichzeitig nicht trainieren.

This property is absolutely divine. We got the deluxe sea view room and the views were spectacular. The location is perfect for sunsets. I never wanted to leave. We visited some other parts of the island and think we had the best beach at our doorstep. The breakfast buffet is the most impressive I’ve ever seen.

I’m would have liked the sun beds to be included but this also wasn’t a big deal for us.

Amazing location with great access to the sea. The gym and spa was small but we knew that and were glad to have it. The evening entertainment was generally good in particular the Balearic style dj who was wonderful. Sant Elm itself is wonderful and the dragonera island is unmissable for the views, lizards and snorkelling

The breakfast had a large variety but the cooked breakfast was a little disappointing as it felt pre prepared and not very fresh

Wir haben ein Frühstück mitgebucht und dann ein Lunchpaket genommen, weil wir früher weg mussten. Es bestand aus einem Apfel und einem minderwertigen, trockenen Sandwich. Nicht einmal ein Getränk war dabei. Das war den Preis nicht wert.

Sehr schönes Hotel in einem süßen Ort, an zwei Strandbuchten Perfekt zum Entspannen.

Die Strandliegen sollten inklusive sein für Hotelgäste.

Sólo estoy deseando que sea verano otra vez para volver, con eso lo digo todo. Nos encantó, el desayuno fantástico, todo lo que puedas imaginar. La ubicación no puede ser mejor, en medio de dos playas. El personal súper amable en todas las áreas. Si es posible, coger una habitación con vistas al mar, vale mucho la pena.

Die Lage war traumhaft schön, direkt am Meer und im Städtchen. Das Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen, das Personal war freundlich und das Frühstück hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt.

Die Preise der Liegen sind sehr grenzwertig. Vor allem waren bei einem Liegestuhl einige Schrauben locker und man konnte die Lehne nicht mehr bewegen - für diesen Preis sollte dies nicht vorkommen. Die Zimmer waren schön, jedoch sehr hellhörig vom Gang.

Die Lage, das Personal, schöne Zimmer, rießiges Frühstücksbuffet mit Meeresblick, kleine ruhige Umgebung. Einfach wunderbar!

Breakfast was great and the staff are fantastic.

There are a lot of hidden costs at this property. The sun beds advertised in the photos are 100 euro to use even as a guest. We also had a door between our room and next door which had no seals allowing any noise or light to come into our room. I know this is standard across some places but we paid for this hotel viewing it as a premium option.

Superb location right on beach. A short stroll to beautiful bars & restaurants. The refurbishment has really made a huge difference to the hotel. The lobby, restaurant and outdoor areas look very chic and welcoming.

The price they charge for sunbeds is ridiculously expensive. This was the only downside to the hotel.

Posizione incantevole, con la spiaggia e gli ombrelloni proprio sul mare: tutto semplicemente adorabile. Staff sempre accogliente e professionale, dalla reception alla sala, con una menzione speciale a Chiara e Sara. Un plauso al Direttore Carlos, eccellente, sempre disponibile e sorridente, che contribuisce a rendere il soggiorno davvero speciale.

Se proprio devo trovare un’inezia, direi soltanto la mancanza degli accappatoi in camera. Per il resto, nulla da segnalare.

Die Lage ist absolut toll. Fernab der super touristischen Strandbuchten. Ausblick, Zimmer und Sauberkeit absolut top.

Das Hotel liegt zentral in dem kleinen Ort Sant Elm, der Parkplatz gleich gegenüber. Der Strand ist wunderschön. Das Hotel ist allgemein sehr angenehm ruhig, niveauvoll, überschaubar, sehr sauber, gut klimatisiert, wirkt auch ausgebucht nie überfüllt! Das Serviceteam ist sehr unterschiedlich engagiert aber in Ordnung. Besonderen Dank an Julio und die Damen im Frühstücksteam. Das Frühstücksbüffet ist ausgezeichnet!

Im Spa hängt es sehr davon ab, an wen man gerät: meine Massage war sehr gut, die meines Mannes katastrophal, handwerklich schlecht und desinteressiert sogar unfreundlich!

Jeg synes ikke morgenbuffet var så god, man skal tilkøbe æg hvis man gerne vil have det, hvilket burde være en del af den. Som gæst på hotellet, skal man købe sig til en solstol som koster 50 euro.

Location is great if you are looking for a little village with direct access to the beach. Rooms are updated and really clean. Also, most of the staff is friendly (except for a guy who works at the beach Club). Young luxury, I would say.

They should offer guests a cheaper fee for the sunbeds. They offer a little discount already, but considering the price of the stay, they should decrease the price a bit more. Also, power and water were off during our last night. We couldn't shower or drinking water, since the fountains in the halls work through power. However, we talked to the manager during the check-out and they removed the sunbeds fee from our bill, which was nice of them. Other than that, it's a wonderful place to stay. I would definitely come back!

Nice hotel (lovely decor and ambience) and in a nice location right on the beach however it did feel like the Ryanair of hotels in that everything seemed to have an extra charge which really did take away from the experience. Sun beds being the main issue- the hotel has about 8 sun loungers on a terrace that are free to use. If you want to lie by the beach at their “beach club” (inverted commas here as it was literally a concrete platform with sun-loungers and parasols on, no beach club vibe) its 60 euros per day per bed. I personally feel that this isn't represented well enough online. Breakfast was nice with a decent selection, although a lot of mistakes made in ordering (incorrect omelette orders, coffee orders etc- and this was consistent throughout our trip). Overall we had a nice trip, but I think for what we paid, this hotel doesn't represent good value.

Having to pay €100 per day for sun-beds is ridiculous! If you pay for a premium hotel a sun bed should be a given. Even when you pay €100 you don’t even get free water at the bed!! Also required to pay for a proper coffee with breakfast. Feels like a budget airline. You get a bed but everything else is +++ Food was rather average; better to go into town which is a few mins walk away.

Twice the electricity and subsequently the running water and air con were suspended. Over night this was unbearable for us and most families. Breakfast had to be served in a different and Sleeping was very difficult in 31 degrees.

Es hat uns alles wunderbar gefallen , ausser, dass die zum Hotel gehörenden Liegen am Cliff wirklich unverhältnismäßig teuer sind. Schade. Da weicht man dann gerne auf die Liegen am öffentlichen Strand aus, was gar kein Problem ist.

The location is very beautiful and the beaches around are very nice. It is perfectly located and close to restaurants and bars. Hotel is clean and comfortable.

Some people in the staff was very friendly and did a great job while some others could improve the service quality and could have paid a bit more attention. Sunbeds are not included in the room charge and that was a minus. But even more minus was the cost for them which was a bit reduced for guests but still 60€ / day and per person. You don't really get anything else than just the sunchair for that price. I felt this price not really motivated for what you get, very overpriced. There is a coffee machine on the room but no coffee is included during the stay. I felt this a bit strange that you had to go buy coffee yourself since this is not really what you want to do while you are on vacation.

Os funcionários são muito simpáticos! O pequeno-almoço é óptimo e o restaurante também é muito bom. Os quartos são limpos e agradáveis.

Die Lage des Hotels ist wirklich perfekt, besonders die Nähe zum Strand und zu den Restaurants. Alle Restaurants in der Nähe sind sehr gut! Das Hotel selbst ist noch sehr neu und dementsprechend gepflegt. Die Mitarbeiter waren durchgehend sehr freundlich, und wir haben uns die ganze Zeit über sehr sicher gefühlt. An einem Abend war die Musik etwas sehr laut, aber sonst gab es fast jeden Abend an der Bar tolle Unterhaltung bis 22 Uhr. Trotz paar negativen Aspekten würden wir wieder kommen :)

In unserem Zimmer war die Notausgangsbeleuchtung so hell, dass wir sie nachts mit einem Kissen abdecken mussten. Zudem hatten wir zwei Kakerlaken im Zimmer... der Mitarbeiter, der vorbeikam, konnte sie nicht finden und vertröstete uns auf den nächsten Tag, sodass wir sie letztlich selbst entfernen mussten. Beim Frühstück muss man für Hafermilch im Cappuccino extra zahlen, der zudem geschmacklich nicht überzeugt. Die Preise für die Pool-Liegen fanden wir überirdisch teuer, weshalb wir lieber an den Strand (hier 16euro für 2 Liegen und Schirm) ausgewichen sind. Auch die abendliche Unterhaltung, die eigentlich bis 22 Uhr gehen sollte, zog sich einmal etwas länger, bei unserem nach vorne gelegenen Zimmer entsprechend störend.

Beautiful views, Sant Elm area is very family friendly and lovely and relaxing. The hotel was comfortable.

Not great value for money. There are a lot of additional costs when you get there. The breakfast was ok, not amazing and the food at the beach club also wasn’t great. Arrived after checkin and the room wasn’t ready. They also put us in a room near the spa area and we were told not to make a noise when we had our kids in a second room.

As good as the hotel itself is, it is the staff that make it. They are exceptional. Friendly, accommodating & efficient. A truly lovely experience.

-Zimmer waren sehr hellhörig -Sauberkeit der Zimmer liess sehr zu wünschen übrig, besonders die Spiegel und Ecken waren teilweise noch fleckig oder mit Haaren der vorherigen Urlauber versehen -Hoteleigene Liegen kosten 60.- pro Person für einen Tag (!!!). Zum glück gibt es neben dem Hotel einen Strand der deutlich günstiger ist (16.- für zwei Liegen pro Tag) -Frühstücksbuffet wird regelmässig von Möwen angegriffen. Hier sollten die Mitarbeiter öfter das übrig gebliebene Essen vom Tisch räumen, sodass diese weniger angreifen.

Not too good and not so bad equals AVERAGE. Excellent location on the beach, rooms in the tower cleverly designed so you don’t see your neighbours (however, parasols needed on the full sun terrace) However, too many negatives. Service is inconsistent, excessive loud music, even hotel guests pay €60 each per day for a basic “beach club” (ie sun lounger), breakfast is just about okay (apart from the machine delivered coffee - proper coffee is charged) , but not advised for other meals. Also, note that there is no hotel parking.

L’emplacement de cet hôtel est vraiment sublime : situé à Sant Elm, charmant petit village avec plein de restos sympas, pile entre deux plages touristiques aux eaux turquoise incroyables. Le petit-déjeuner est également très bon. Concernant les chambres : nous avions réservé une chambre standard vue mer. Attention, sur ce type de chambre, les vues varient beaucoup selon le numéro de chambre car le bâtiment est arrondi — mer, sable de plage, ou arrière donnant sur la rue et un café. À notre arrivée, on nous a attribué une chambre avec vue sable, alors que nous avions payé pour une vue mer. Nous avons dû nous plaindre pour être relogés dans une chambre avec la vue mer promise. La chambre en elle-même reste correcte mais basique, sans plus.

Le point le plus décevant reste l’accès aux transats : en tant que clients de l’hôtel, il faut payer 40€ la demi-journée (créneaux de 8h-14h ou 14h-20h) pour un transat, en plus du prix déjà très élevé de la chambre. Aucun transat gratuit n’est proposé, seule alternative : les transats de plage publics à 15€/jour. Il n’y a pas non plus de piscine : il y a le bassin du spa qui possède 6 transats sur la terrasse attenante. Bref si vous voulez profiter de la mer à l’hôtel, il faudra payer cher. Enfin, le personnel est inégal : certains membres sont adorables, d’autres franchement désagréables, ce qui n’est pas à la hauteur du prix payé.

This was our second time coming from New Zealand to Sant Elm and staying with Universal and it is always outstanding! Amazing staff, great location and very clean. The breakfast on offer is so fresh and well done also!! Pricing had increased quite abit in the last year, so we may not be able to return again if it continues to rise as much as it did but overall one of our best stays we have had in Europe!

Días de descanso en este maravilloso hotel, es el paraíso. Al borde del mar con dos calitas con tumbonas y sombrillas, a los lados de arena blanca y aguas turquesas. Hotel moderno y con una decoración fabulosa. Las habitaciones son amplias con camas muy cómodas y duermes escuchando el ruido del mar. La atención del equipo un 10, no han podido ser mas educados y amables. Tienes un pequeño spa y un beach club con tumbonas y sombrillas. El pueblo es muy pequeño, una calle llena de restaurantes y pequeñas tiendas. El desayuno en la terraza estupendo, muy variado y bueno. Seguro repetiré mi estancia.

Que las personas del hotel tuvieramos que pagar 60€ al dia para hacer uso de las hamacas del beach club, me parece un precio excesivo cuando estas alojado.

Sometimes there was some confusion when ordering drinks/food at the beach club/hotel bar/terrace. Also parts of the terrace are not really usable during the day/afternoon, as the sun hits them directly.

Nel complesso il soggiorno è stato piacevole. L’unico aspetto un po’ deludente è stato che la nostra camera aveva la vista sulla strada. Inoltre, la struttura non dispone di una piscina esterna; tuttavia, questo passa in secondo piano perché si trova praticamente sulla spiaggia. L’unica nota negativa è che i lettini in spiaggia dell’hotel sono a pagamento.

Nonostante fossimo ospiti dell'hotel, affittare ombrellone e lettini è stato molto costoso. Tra l'altro la politica adottata non è molto chiara. Inoltre da segnalare alcune pecche in merito alla pulizia giornaliera della camera

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, we were very much looking forward to it after seeing all the pictures and Instagram posts! We arrived at 1pm to check in, understandably the room wasn’t ready so reception gave us a glass of Cava whilst we waited for the room. We paid for a sea view room, although when we checked into our room it was more of a side sea view 504 - rooms ending 01,02 don’t have a sea view and rooms ending 03,04 have a side sea view. We asked to change rooms as the reason we booked a sea view was so we could see the sea from inside our room. We were moved to 305. As the hotel is curved the best rooms for the sea view end in 05,06,07. The room was a good size, the only query I would have is - there isn’t a kettle!? There’s a nespresso machine, but I think it would be nice to have a kettle to be able to make tea. The breakfast is incredible - everything you could imagine, the egg dishes are made to order too so no sloppy scrambled eggs at the buffet! The views from the hotel are amazing. There was entertainment each evening, which was a nice touch and good vibe. The hotel is where it’s happening in this little town. Lots of nice restaurants and bars in Sant Elm and there’s a large car park over the road from the hotel which is free, there’s another which is €5 a day but we managed to park in the free one every day. The beach club is nice, when you stay at the hotel you get the beds a lot cheaper than someone who isn’t staying. We paid €60 per bed for a full day front row, and it’s €50 for beds all day not on the front row. You had a QR code to scan the menu and get some food and drinks but you had to go and speak to someone to order, I think it would be a nice touch if the team could pop round and check if you wanted anything. When your paying quite a lot of money for a sun bed, you would expect a bit of service. But all the team are very friendly and happy to help when you approach them. Those who have the sun beds but aren’t staying at the hotel do pay double the price, and they get a glass of cava and fruit bowl. I understand this is due to the price difference, but I do think the hotel guests using the beds should be looked after a little bit too! Even just some complimentary water is a nice touch. I’d definitely recommend this hotel and I would stay again. It’s a beautiful little cove with enough going on if you want a quiet break.

Nothing really

That you had to pay 50 euros for sunbeds. That the coffee in the room was only complementary for the first night. Small room and tiny bathroom with nowhere to put anything. One particular member of staff on the desk was very rude. The breakfast was tasteless sent my eggs back twice and still not cooked.

Lokalizacja, bliskość plaży oraz deptaka z licznymi restauracjami i barami. Znakomite śniadania z widokiem na morze. Pan na recepcji-Polak służył radą i miłą rozmową.

W hotelu wakacyjnym nad morzem opłata z jeden leżak 50 EUR dziennie- szkoda że hotel nie chwali się tą atrakcją na swojej stronie. To było jedyne niemiłe zaskoczenie.

Prices for sunbeds at front of property are vastly overpriced

What a disappointment ! We stayed in the hotel and were forced to pay €100 for two sunbeds per day, the hotel provides absolutely NO resting facilities for people who might be on holiday and want to enjoy the sun in the grounds of the hotel. The breakfast was extensive but completely tasteless, coffee in the rooms was complimentary but only for the first day of stay, tea was only available in the superior rooms. If you decide to use the hotel beach towels you have to keep them for three days before being able to change them. There was no pool, we had a block booking of 6 people and non of us will return, we found the hotel quite pretentious.

Quartos e banheiros modernos e confortáveis. Gostamos que tem um secador de toalhas no banheiro e foi muito útil. Também gostamos que tinha um varal de roupas na varanda, também foi muito útil. Café da manhã bem completo e organizado.

Do fato de nos cobrarem para usar as cadeiras e o guarda sol na área externa do hotel. Primeiro hotel que ficamos que nos cobra por isso, achamos um absurdo. Se estamos hospedado aem um hotel de frente para a praia, o mínimo que esperávamos é não precisar pagar por isso. Ao lado do hotel, na faixa de areia pública, o valor é de 16 euros por um kit de duas espreguiçadeiras e um guarda sol. No hotel eles cobram 20, 30 e 50 euros por pessoa, dependendo da localização da cadeira.

The location right by the sea is beautiful, and the views from the hotel and restaurant are amazing. The hotel is modern, clean, and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent with lots of fresh options to choose from. I also liked that there were water dispensers around the hotel where you could refill your bottle instead of buying plastic ones.

Overall, I think the hotel is quite expensive for what it offers. The biggest disappointment was the beach club, which costs €50 per person. Right next to the hotel, you can rent an umbrella and two sunbeds for €16, so it’s hard to justify the extra cost. The spa and the sun terrace are both quite small, so the facilities don’t really match the price. I was also a bit confused by the overall concept of the hotel. It feels like it’s aimed at a younger crowd, especially with the beach club, but the beach club closes at 7 p.m. and the restaurant closes at 9:30 p.m., which felt surprisingly early.

Die Lage war unglaublich schön! Personal sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich.

Die Zimmer, wenn mann nicht die Meersicht dazu kauft sieht mann auf eine Strasse und leider ist die Abtrennung zum Nachbarsbalkon so dass mann immer schön sieht wenn mann rein und raus geht.

Es hat uns leider nicht gefallen, dass man die hoteleigenen Sonnenbetten für € 60 pro Tag pro Person zusätzlich dazubuchen und bezahlen muss. Da die Nacht über € 200 gekostet hat, wäre eine Liege incl. absolut fair gewesen. € 120 zusätzlich am Tag dazu für die zwei Liegen ist echt heftig. Am Anreisetag liegen 2 Kaffeekapseln für die Nespressomaschine und 2 kleine Milchpulverbeutel auf dem Zimmer. Alle weiteren muss man für € 1,70 pro Kapsel an der Rezeption kaufen. Wir hätten es schön gefunden, wenn es jeden Tag zwei neue Kapseln mit dem Saubermachen gegeben hätte. Einfach als guten Service.

We were charged 120 euros per day ( 2 beds and an umbrella) to use the hotels sun loungers. I think the back row were slightly cheaper. How can they justify charging the residents of their hotel this much?
