Locations was great to do the Llanberis path up Snowdon

Ideal location for my travels - just down the road from the Snowden Railway. Nice room. Secure parking

The property is conveniently located along the High Street, offering easy access to a wide range of popular tourist attractions, many of which are within a short walking distance.

The bathroom was quite small, particularly the washbasin, which made it somewhat inconvenient to use. The overall cleanliness of the bathroom could also be improved.

The hair dryer is not working well. The location is good, but there contactless check in business model needs to be competed with Air BnB and I do not think your hotel has an advantage against them.

Practically no face to face customer service in the hotel.

Good location, fridge in room, blackout curtains, several mirrors in the room, food shop opposite that stays open late, microwave for all to share. Plenty of drawers and cupboard space, nice bathroom.

No fan in room, warm in room although had to keep window shut at night to keep out the early morning traffic noise, quite a compact twin room. We stayed 4 nights and it would have been nice to have had clean towels brought to our room and our bin emptied after 2 days knowing we were there 4 nights.

Carpet needs a good vacuum Shower was leaking onto the bathroom floor Shower interior needs a thorough scrub to remove what looked like black mould in the bottom corners, also orange mould up the interior wall joins. We had to b3 careful not to touch the interior walls of the shower

The room smelled of fish. The bed was so hard we could barely sleep. The pillows were als very thin and all in all the sleeping experience was awful. We cut our stay down to 1 night.

We liked the location close to the bus stop. No problem to contactless check in. Room was small but was nice for 2 nights. We really loved dinner at the restaurant downstairs. Make sure you check it out.

That is was really close to hike Snowdon

I was in room 6 and it was on the high street side and it was noisey from people talking outside my window and the Spar shopping opening at 7am. Very loud when it’s hot !

Great location especially if you are climbing Mount Snowdon and you can enjoy a well deserved drink afterwards with out being far from your bed

The property fairly clean and in a good location

The only bit working is the location but don’t fall for it as the whole place reeks of cigarette smoke. Very filthy

There is a pub down and that should explain the cigarette smoke that reeks everywhere. Inside it looks and feel cheap. Poor maintenance and very claustrophobic. For even half the charge it’s not worth.

Location for what we wanted was spot on. The food that was served in the bar area was amazing.

The price you was paying for what you got was way off.

Comfortable room on the first floor. All the communication was good about the contactless check in. On booking this hotel they wanted payment via a link not through Booking.com which made us feel uneasy as there are a lot of scams. We needed to ring them to check on this.

La cercanía que tenía con las principales atracciones de la zona, véase: Snowdonia Train y el Padarn Park. La posibilidad de aparcar el coche en su recinto privado, aunque el área se veía muy tranquila.

La habitación era un poco pequeña en relación a lo pagado a lo largo de la estancia en Gales en otras áreas y el lavamanos del baño era especialmente pequeño.

Outstanding location for outings, access to lake, access to charming high street. Great carpark and also plenty of street parking. Lovely powerful hot shower. Contactless check in etc all worked very well.

I actually can’t fault it overall for a 3-star property.

Excellent location - close to the town centre; short walk to Snowdon Mountain train; close to lake. The pub downstairs serves excellent food and is very reasonably priced. Self check-in was very easy; instructions were extremely clear!

Property felt more like a hostel than an inn. Functional but lacking in ambiance.

Location was good.with a good bus service outside the door.. the early morning wake up call from the local sheep. Parking on the street was good

No breakfast included in price. Although there was a restaurant close by that opened at 7 for a very good price. . A voucher each day for 10% off would've been great.

location excellent,room brilliant,informed that we could open the windows even more which was a godsend...love the lock box to get into room but you have to remember to put key back into it before you close the door once inside...also,take a photo of the main entrance number if the main door closed,glad I did as I had to use the number to get in...didn't want to come home!After all the days outings,we just said let's go home (the Inn).Couldn't find the twin room logo so my Son had to bring a sleeping bag!....Good to come & go as we pleased...Shop across way we could stock up on essentials,take loo rolls & tea/coffee etc if you have room in your luggage...very honest description on booking form...can't fault them....

Dated, dirty, no air con just a little noisy fan. Key box wasn’t secure you could just open without the code as it was so flimsy.

The location was amazing central with wonderful scenery

The room was tiny and the bathroom was microscopic, the shower cubicle had years of ingrained Brown/orange grime around the bottom. The mattress was an old-fashioned sprung one which made you feel like you were sleeping on a trampoline, the edges of it had no support at all. During a heat wave it was unbearably hot, 35°, there was no way to cool the room despite the presence of a fan, it had two small push out windows, the bathroom had no window, the hallway outside had no openable windows, it was unbearably hot and impossible to cool,. It was hot inside the hotel and the temperature increased when you went up the stairs onto the first floor landing. It was at BEST a double room in a youth hostel. It fell below the lowest minimum standards. I would never stay there again, it’s only saving grace was that I t was competitively priced for its location, but if we had realised how appallingly uncomfortable it was, we would’ve paid more and stayed elsewhere.

Nice location on the high street, just roughly 5mins walk from the Snowdon Mountain Railway station and the llanberis hike route

Room (double room) was slightly small for the price paid and it became cold in the early hours of the morning and the heating wasn’t working I was told by the staff when I called in the morning that it’s because my room temperature already says 20 degrees + which can’t be true as the temperature outside was less than 10 degrees and I needed an extra blanket to keep warm. The bathroom also needs a little TLC to get rid of some of the moulds

Great location, close to bus interchange, Snowdon railway station and mountain paths, shops and restaurants. Manager on site very helpful and friendly (we got locked out but easily resolved). Good to have fridge/kettle/tea&coffee. Microwave available. Quiet and comfortable room. Instructions to access the room with codes, etc. all straightforward. Excellent breakfast available at the hotel, a minute's walk away - very welcome. Good value. Enjoyed!

Room was very small for two people (with suitcases!) but adequate. Would be useful to have a drying room available - nowhere to dry off clothes after inevitable rain! Some upgrading needed but then wouldn't be such good value.

Perfect location in a little village right next to the Llanberis path within walking distance, lots of restraints near by and free parking. I would say it’s the perfect place to stay if you are planning on doing the llanberis path. Bar and restraunt down stairs that serves good food.

The property was perfect no faults.

Location was great as we were doing a charity event at Snowdon.

No breakfast facilities. Room needed some work in terms of cleaning (dirty black vent in the bathroom and mould and hairs around the shower.) Bar closed early at 10am so didn't use it. Should have stayed somewhere else.

Don’t accept dogs

We decided not to stay at the Y Gwynedd Inn after-all when we took a look at our room. We thought our room looked very clean, but it was very small, overlooking the car park area, which was poorly laid out and looked a bit ramshackle, giving the impression that the property wasn’t looked after. The bed was only a double size and I think if you are a serious walker who just wants to lie your head down after a busy day, this hotel would be a good bet. We were looking for hospitality, home comforts and to be looked after. We did not like not having a reception with a person to check you in either. So we stayed down the road at the Victoria hotel where breakfast was included and we had a Super Kingsized bed for only £100 more for two nights. We obviously forfeited our money with the Inn but that was to be expected. Our fault for not checking if the property would meet our needs. It has good reviews but just wasn’t for us.

Two separate businesses, hotel above and pub below. Hallways to room need refreshing. Room small, ensuite very small. Car park area grotty, you don’t know where to park to not be in the way of out buildings

Seamless check in and out... Good value.... location, location location....very convenient with shops and eateries nearby...The Waterfall which is beautiful is just a short walk away... Food was awesome...loved it at the Inn...

Location was perfect for us. The room was comfortable and clean.

Providing a fan for hot weather would be great. Had to close window due to noise from flag flapping in wind.

Schmutzig, runter gekommen, ein winziges Bad (eine korpulentere Person wäre nur rückwärts auf die Toilette gekommen und in die Dusche gar nicht), ein Waschbecken in Din A4 Größe, die Dusche voller Schmutz und Schimmel, rund um das Fenster ein Schimmel Rand. An der Rezeption, die nie besetzt war, war ein Telefon aus der Wand gerissen.

The room had been updated, but it was very small and had a musty smell.

Some of the rooms open on to the back of the property where you can hear the noise of generators from the pub kitchen below, also strong fumes of chip fat. Bathrooms aren’t the nicest. They need to clean the plugs so that water drains properly in the shower

The location was excellent, plenty of restaurants nearby and the route to the Snowden was really close. I walk from the room to the Snowden and return in a relaxed pace. Also, the check-in and the system to open the doors were excellent.

Unfortunately, I found the place too pricey, the bathroom was small, and it had a sliding door... no privacy at all. The parking was alright but if the other guests dont know how to park, is a nightmare.

The location was excellent for the hikes in the area and proximity to high street.

Although the price of the room was fair for the size and the type of facilities, I had two concerns: There was mold around the windows. The location and size of the sink in the bathroom made it impossible to wash your face - it was more of a powder room sink.

I didn't see a soul, all the time I was there. It's just weird, having contactless check-in. The heating was very noisy, even when turned off! There's no shower mat in room 1, so you have no choice but to make the floor wet. Towels are too small, a common occurrence.

Location is great - on the high street, with a bar downstairs and other eateries closeby. It is also a short work to the Llanberis trail for a hike up to Yr Wyddfa, as well as the stations for highland and lake railways.

The rooms are quite a tight fit. I used the single room, barely bigger than the bed. It was good calue though as all I needed was a bed.

Cleanliness, messy dirty and smelly 'reception' area. Moldy shower. View out of window of overflowing bins and junk.

The check in time is too late. The staff - what staff?!? The double room was very small. And the bathroom clearly was formally a wardrobe / cupboard. You could not dry yourself in the bathroom and the sink is far too small.

It's over a pub and there was bingo the first evening which we could hear.

The keyless security worked well. Being above the restaurant was very convenient and the meal we had exceeded our expectations. It was very good.

Perfect location. Room was great with kettle and mini fridge. Was just myself so good size. And loads of teas,coffees, sugars than normal! Extra blanket as I was cold and room heated up fast.

Pillows were only ok. Sink was a little hard to get into to wash your face (think it was the hand soap fixed to wall that was in the way) but manageable all the same.
