Really good

Large dorm with 10 bunk beds (up to 20 people). Spacious common area, friendly staff, big drying space, multiple shared bathrooms with hot water, and large lockers. Convenient location near the port.

No direct car access (narrow road), dim lighting, limited hot water, and no free drinking water.

Sehr gute Lage, sowohl zu den zahlreichen Restaurants, Warungs und Cafés, als auch zum Strand. Unsere Tauchbasis war 50m entfernt, was auch sehr praktisch war. Auch wenn andere geschrieben haben, dass es nur kaltes Wasser gibt - wir hatten warmes. Die Mitarbeiter waren super freundlich und haben uns bei allem geholfen.

Das Badezimmer. Die Toilette hat gewackelt, es gab keine Möglichkeit irgendwas abzustellen und die Spiegel hängen viel zu tief, so dass man eigentlich nur seinen Unterleib sehen konnte

Good location. Close to the beach. Nice area to hang out outside the rooms. Couches, tables and sun chairs. Beds were comfy and bathrooms were clean and hardly all occupied.

The homestay was in a great location close to Jungutbatu beach and the arrival location for ferries from Sanur. Our upstairs bedroom had a balcony and a great view of the beach. There was a pool but we didn’t use it and found the downstairs area very dark. Our room was basic but cleaned & serviced each day. Some would find the location of the bathroom as you entered the room rather strange but we found it convenient. The whole complex really needed work on maintenance and renovation. The best thing really about the homestay was its value for money and it’s proximity to some excellent well priced restaurants such as D & B Warung for all meals and Acala Bar was wonderful for breakfast.

Maintenance of the property was needed as well as refurbishment and updating. The staff were generally friendly though not particularly proactive. The water supply to our room was interrupted on two occasions whilst we were there.

The property is close to the beach, despite the fact you cannot walk straight to the beach. You need to walk a few minutes around until you can actually reach the beach.

The room didn’t look like the pictures. The walls need maintenance and you enter straight into the bathroom before you reach your room. The property didn’t feel so welcoming as there was constantly a big group of staff lounging at the entrance and common places. There was also constant noise from the ac of the hotel next to it. You need to pay for water refills. It is hard to imagine when this property might have been a 8/9 rating. It definitely is not right now.

Les lits sont très confortables, les rideaux offrent une bonne intimité dans le dortoir. Il y a beaucoup de douches et de toilettes. J’ai apprécié les transats au soleil et la piscine à l’ombre. On peut manger n’importe quand ici (petit déjeuner, déjeuner et dîner). J’ai apprécié qu’ils proposent des taxis scooters pour 75 000 IDR, ça m’a été très utile. L’emplacement est idéal : proche des warungs, des restaurants et des centres de plongées. Idéal si vous ne conduisez pas de scooters.

On vient faire le ménage dès 8h du matin dans le dortoir alors qu’on dort encore. Ça je n’ai vraiment pas apprécié. La pression de l’eau des douches est faible et l’eau est froide, malheureusement pour un long séjour c’est embêtant surtout pour se laver les cheveux. L’eau est payante, seulement 3000 IDR.

Spacious dorm, comfy beds, the loveliest staff. Great location and right by the beach, dive shops and surf rentals. They also offer scooter rentals. The dorm and bathrooms are some of the cleanest I’ve experienced across hostels. Thanks so much for the great stay!

Les lits en dortoir étaient tellement confortables j’ai passé mes meilleures nuits, à deux pas de la plage et de plein de restos / cafés ! Possibilité de réserver transport, faire lessive, manger, louer scooter c’est top

Le personnel était tous les jours à 9h petante dans le dortoir à commencer le nettoyage, allumer les lumières, changer, rigoler je ne comprends pas ? Alors qu’ils savaient qu’il y avait des clients encore au lit. Décalé à deux heures plus tard serait une bonne idée

I loved my stay here, it was clean and comfortable and the staff were so friendly! Very chill and great location next to amazing dive centre Dive Concepts.

It’s not a social hostel for meeting other travellers aside from in your dorm room. No one hangs out in the communal area downstairs so I wouldn’t stay here if I was looking to meet lots of people.

L hôtel est au calme, plutôt bien placé. La chambre double sensée être ok pr 2 adultes et 2 enfants ne l est finalement pas car les enfants de 9 et 13 ans devait dormir ensemble sur un matelas en 90cm. J ai fait part de ma déception, ils ont rapidement réagi et nous ont proposé une autre chambre pour mes enfants sans surcoût!

The staff are AWESOME! So friendly and helpful. The location is very close to the beach and one of the ferry ports (1 minute walk). I liked the laundry service (I was there for over 3 weeks so I used this often). I only ate there a couple of times, and the food was good. I liked that I had a little fridge in my room, even though it was quite old and missing a shelf, it served it's pupose.

The room could use some upgrades and better lighting. (very dim). My room was on the second floor and I often got a very strong smoke smell in my room from people smoking in the 'smoking' section in the common area (on the main floor below my balcony). Not really the homestay's fault, but the path (narrow alley) that leads to the homestay could use some repairs. The potholes made it challenging and it flooded every time it rained (I was there in February so it rained quite often). A lot of the roads have massive pot holes and flood when it rains, so this is not unique to Nyuh Gading, but the road it is on and the alley leading to it are particularly bad in comparison. (probably not as big of a deal when its not rainy season).

Near to beach and staff are lovely. Room had a lovely balcony!

The staff was friendly and we're eager to help. When the A/C didn't work they gave me a different room although it was already quite late at night. They have shampoo and body wash in the bathroom for free.

I've been to the hotel three years ago and back then the room was quite nice. However since then there have been zero renovations made. The ceiling was leaking at three different places, including just above the bed and the closet. The safe number pad didn't work, it could only be used with the emergency key. The A/C wasn't powerful at all and brown water dripped out of it once you turned it off. The top of the fridge was covered in mold, which was covered with a table cloth. The rooms are quite dark at night since the lighting isn't that strong. Also two out of four ceiling light were not attached to the ceiling anymore but dangling on just the cables. When it rained water dripped from these openings into the room. Also there was mold around the lights from the dropping water, so this isn't a new problem. There were originally two bed side lights but one must have fallen on and wasn't replaced, so now there's just the light bulb socket left on the wall. The sink drained very slowly. The door to the room is a sliding door that leaves about a 3cm wide space when it's completely closed, allowing mosquitos to get into the room. The bedsheets were stained.

Very clean and spacious room. We stayed 2 weeks and we loved it there! The staff is amazing, super kind and friendly. They offered us to clean the room every single day. The location is super convenient, close to the beach, and to a lot of restaurants and cafe, but also very quiet.

I loved the location, it was right in the centre of town and pretty much in front of the beach. Perfect. Great air conditioning too. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly.

The only thing that really let this place down was the cleanliness of the bathroom.. it smelt heavily of urine. I stayed here for a month and everyday I would clean the bathroom myself to try and remove the smell.. I think previous guests have been using the floor/walls as a toilet because it was extremely bad and I could not remove the smell :/ Also on some nights it was very difficult to sleep, wild dogs barking and people partying outside my bathroom window which cannot be closed.

Alles was slecht. De kamer was oud en vervallen. Leek in niets op de foto’s. Het personeel lag op de bank te slapen en was ongeïnteresseerd. Velen spraken ook niet goed Engels. Er was geen ‘bum gun’ in de badkamer dus ik had 4 dagen remsporen want er was ook geen wc borstel. De verf bladderde van de muren af, koelkast werd niet goed koel. Air viel steeds uit. Personeel reageert niet als je ze vragen stelde online. Laken was overdreven dun. Leek wel papier. Receptie/lobby gedeelte is extreem donker overdag. Douche straal was heel erg slap. Geen waterkoker. En de laatste nacht had ik MUIZEN in de kamer. Ik was ziek en ik ben nog zieker geworden in die vreselijke kamer. Oh en er is een gigantisch gat in de badkamer. De badkamer is trouwens aan de voorkant dus je moet met straatschoenen door de badkamer lopen.

The staff here were so friendly and kind, location was just a short walk to the beach, the pool was great and the rooms were a good size.

The beds were very firm, would have liked something a little softer.

Over priced. I have received a lot more (water cooler for free bottle refills, breakfast inclusions, colourful bedroom decor) for half the price at another local homestay. The scooter hire was also more expensive than other local home stays.

La piscine se trouve à l’ombre, pas tout à fait comme sur les photos. Les asiatiques trop bruyants dans le dortoir de 20 lits. Le personnel à l’accueil n’est pas des plus compétents. En effet, lorsque je leur demande quand la cuisine ferme, ils me donnent une horaire et je souhaite commander et me disent que c’est déjà fermé. Le matin j’ai commandé un smoothie bowl ils l’ont mis au frigo si je ne l’avais pas réclamé j’aurai pu attendre longtemps. Les lumières ne sont pas assez puissantes dans le dortoir

Très jolie petite auberge, au bout d'une impasse, très calme. A 1 min de la plage sans aucune route à traverser er à 1 min d'une route animée avec plein de restaurants et des petites boutiques. Je recommande.

Nyuh Gading Homestay ticks a lot of boxes. They have a range of different accommodation types (I stayed in a 4 person dorm) to suit all travellers. My dorm had comfortable mattresses and pillows, sizeable lockers with padlocks and was maintained during the day when all guests were out and about. The reception area is comfortable and facilitates eating, socialising or relaxing depending on what people want. Staff are helpful, especially with organising activities, and the banana pancakes on the breakfast menu are brilliant. Great proximity to the beach, central Jungutbatu and to diving schools!

This spot super close to the beach which js great, the pool is also nice and you can order food on site which is handy. My stay was okay but if I was going to stay again, I would upgrade to a nicer bedroom which has been redone. I was in a standard room that hadn’t been redone and there was mould/damp on ceiling, it felt a bit rundown and a bit dirty so I wouldn’t choose to stay in it again. The WiFi was okay but wasn’t too great in the bedroom.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were made to feel very welcome here. The pool and pool area was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the room was big. Great location in the town and so close to the beach and ferry terminal for the return journey to Bali mainland. We had a great stay.

The room felt quite damp where the bedsheets felt slightly wet and the room smelt of damp.
