The property is on a steep street. Probably not the best for people with mobility issues. There are very few places to eat within walking distance.

El estacionamiento, esta bien, es una calle amplia y se puede quedar perfectamente el coche afuera lo cual en SMA, es dificil de encontrar. Sin embargo si quieres guardar el coche en una pensión que no tiene costo adicional. Es hasta el centro y el regreso al hotel lo tienes que caminar y es de subida.

Reviewed Apr 6, 2026Viaje en familia , vivimos una gran experiencia en San Miguel Allende hospedandonos en casa Frida, las instalaciones limpias y comodas , el personal super atento hay demasida calidez me sentí en casa . Se admira el diseño arquitectónico que conserva la parte colonial, cuenta con jardín y árboles frutales , ademas de una terraza con mirador. El desayuno esta riquisimo , completo y saludable .Como plus tienen que conocer a diego un gato demasiado amigable y hace compañia, es único . Sin duda regresaremos pronto! ya que Casa Frida es parte de la experiencia si vas a San Miguel.
Solo falta un frigobar ya que hace calor . Y hace falta enfriar las bebidas.

Es un poco alejado del centro pero si vas en carro tienen la opción de apoyarte con parking gratis, por lo que puedes hacer tu recorrido sin problema.

La subida por callecitas pero después te das cuenta que un uber te trae por $60 del centro

Por favor especificar que no tiene estacionamiento propio y además especificar que tan lejos se va a dejar el auto.

We had a very disappointing stay at B.B Casa Frida. The room was large but old, poorly maintained, and freezing, making it very difficult to stay in. The listing on Booking.com mentioned heating, but the only heater was a small 1100-watt unit suitable for a very limited area. We asked the manager several times to improve the heating, but he refused, and his attitude was cold and unhelpful. The blankets were worn, and the sheet covering them was torn. After two nights, we had to leave and move to a suitable hotel for the remaining three nights. We requested a refund from the manager, but he refused. Nuestra estancia en B.B Casa Frida fue muy decepcionante. La habitación era grande pero vieja, mal mantenida y congelada, lo que hacía muy difícil permanecer en ella. En Booking.com se indicaba que había calefacción, pero el único aparato era un pequeño calentador de 1100 watts, adecuado solo para un área muy limitada. Pedimos varias veces al gerente que mejorara la calefacción, pero se negó y su actitud fue fría y poco profesional. Las cobijas estaban gastadas y la sábana encima estaba rota. Después de dos noches, tuvimos que irnos a un hotel adecuado para las tres noches restantes. Solicitamos un reembolso al gerente, pero se negó.

La loma para subir de regreso es un poco inclinada, pero entendemos que no es cuestión del hotel, si no que todo San Miguel tiene sus calles así.

Es un poco frío, y la regadera goteaba todo el tiempo. El desayuno debería ser más temprano, ya que fui por trabajo y tenía que salir a las 8am, y me comentaron que el desayuno (incluido) ser servía a partir de las 9am, lo cual me parece un poco tarde ya.

Reviewed Nov 13, 2025Casa Frida B&B is een parel. De kamer die wij hadden was lekker ruim. Het uitzicht is prachtig vanaf het dakterras. Het is er lekker rustig. De locatie ten op zichte van de stad is prima. Goede training voor de kuiten, omdat het bergopwaarts is gelegen. Ontbijt is iedere ochtend een verrassing en een feestje. Maar het meest fijne is de betrokkenheid van het personeel! Ik zou een verblijf zeker aanraden. Wij hebben genoten.

Our host was wonderful and took special care of us! We felt his hospitality and we thank him very much for that! Clean place and I highly recommend it!

Reviewed Oct 30, 2025The.owner made us feel comfortable. The first morning when he served coffee it was flavored which neither of us like and he made sure the next day we had regular coffee. The breakfast where good. Our room was spacious and clean.
One of the reasons I choose this inn was because of the garden it advertised " Guests can relax on the sun terrace or in the lush garden". The garden had dead trees, empty pots and look very unkept. We upgraded to a better room but our terrace only had folding chairs and the roof top garden which is a great place for sunset had no place to sit. Two lounge chairs without cushions. Our rooms was spacious and clean but no reading light for one of the beds. It is close to town but unwalkable as it is on a very steep hill. Uber hoever is only about $4 to the center.

Dommage que les rideaux ne soient pas occultant. Un peu éloigné du centre historique il faut marcher 15min à pied et la montée est rude. Mais si vous êtes véhiculé, l hôtel possède des places de parking dans le centre ville ce qui est très pratique.

(1) Llegamos tarde, despues de la hora del check-in y la habitacion aun estaba en proceso de limpieza, no estaba lista. (2) En ningun momento indican que tienen mascotas propias deambulando por el hotel, y tienen un gato que anda por todas partes, hasta en la cocina (antihigiénico), mi hijo tiene alergia y estuvo medicado afortunadamente. (3) El estacionamiento "propio" no existe pues argumentaban que estaba en reparación o algo así y nos mandaron hasta uno en el centro. (4) No está propiamente cerca del centro y el rumbo no se aprecia muy seguro por la noche. (5) El mobiliario de la habitación es poco armonioso, aun bajo el concepto de ciudad colonial (SMA) - pareciera tomaron muebles de todos lados y los acomodaron así nada más. El tapete del baño/regadera se veía mohoso. (6) En el desayuno se ofrece solo lo que ellos preparan, no hay variedad (tampoco esperábamos un buffet). A petición nuestra al menos pudieron preparar un plato alternativo para mi hijo menor que no toma picante (eran chilaquiles) y buscaron "a ver si tenían" huevos. Creo deberían tener un poco más variado su menú

Reviewed Jun 5, 2025Lovely building inside and out, the host is super friendly, attentive and welcoming. The rooms are clean, the shower is great- hot water and good water pressure. It’s a very peaceful and feels like home! Good coffee for breakfast. Loved the cat of the house!
I didn’t like the Mexican style breakfast. It would be great if they would have a Mexican and European style breakfast available.

The location is on steep road and difficult to walk. The building is falling apart with water damage, broken tiles, squeaky floors. The room has no air or heater, ot clean, and without storage, iron board, shampoo, bathing soap, etc.
