Trevliga värdar. Bra läge precis vid stranden. Stora rum med bekväma sängar.

ACn fungerade inte så bra i det ena rummet så det blev väldigt varmt. Värden sade att han fixat det när vi skulle åka hem.

Perfect for a night after arriving from the airport, only 20 minutes away. The beds were comfortable and the hosts were very friendly and helpful, arranging our onwards travel for us

The hosts were very nice and the location is right on the beach. We forgot some clothes at the location and the hosts made everything possible to give them back to us.

There could have been extra attention paid to cleaning. The building might need some renovations.

Lovely couple in central Negombo on the beach. Simple and comfortable rooms, kind people.

Adham and his family are excellent hosts. Room was large and comfortable and clean. Picked me up from airport as well late at night

The location and the ultra friendly welcome, it felt like we were staying with long term friends. The room and bathroom were very clean. The room we had was very big, a large bedroom, with a wide hallway to the bathroom and exit. The area looks like it will convert to a twin double room suite. All the doors and windows were protected by mosquito screens. Great views over the garden to the sea, from the very large balcony.

The booth tooth and mobile network enabled credit card machine wasn’t working, possibly due to a power outage.

We didn't arrive until 1am from the airport and the owner was up to let us into our room and welcome us. Our room was spotless and clean. I love a hard bed so my sleep was comfy!! There is a/c & a ceiling fan which is great as I don't like too much a/c. We had a lovely large balcony to get a breeze & see the ocean. The family who own the guesthouse are all really friendly, chatty & supportive.

Shower head was broken.

I had a really good chat with the owners who are a well travelled intelligent couple who understand the english very well and obviously have a lot of local knowledge. The room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the sea. Set far enough back from the beach and the road to be very quiet. Extra seats decent telly and a kettle. I felt quite at home. 2 minute walk to a number of restaurants and shops.

You could probably get cheaper places ( but probably not as well appointed):and the property does have gates that are normally closed which can make it a little difficult when coming first time.

Highly recommended in a great location. Was a perfect end to a very busy trip around Sri Lanka

Best breakfasts in our time in Sri Lanka. The proprietors speak fluent English and we greatly enjoyed our conversations. Very fun and warm, welcoming group. Front row seats to an ocean view from the balcony, direct access from the property to the beach, quiet but with easy access to a variety of restaurants. This place is a gem! Thank you so much for an exceptional stay.

Great location to access the airport. The room is very clean and the sea was right in front of us. Hosts were great and very kind and helpful!

Nishi and her dad were wonderful! The breakfasts were delicious and varied. They were very helpful and let us check out later because of our flight. Being on the beach was very convenient, and there's enough shops and restaurants nearby.

This place is great, it is right on the beach and also right next to the main road with plenty of restaurants,the sea is warm and the beach is vast. The room was spacious and the family are absolutely lovely, they are so helpful and friendly that you feel immediately relaxed, will return

Everything was wonderful! Next to the beach, Tasty breakfast, extrem kind and helpful staff! The cleaning Lady makes a really good job!

Lovely hosts giving you a truely personal experience. Access to next hotel's pool is a nice touch. The room layout was odd but they will be undergoing renovation soon so hopefully reworking the internal layout. Otherwise clean and tidy and nice view of the garden to the beach. Be aware of beach salesmen. Would recommend this hotel.

We were made to feel very welcome and settled in happily. Had a long chat with the family who own the place and it was like meeting long lost friends. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were air conditioned, modern, neat and clean, with netting against mosquitos in case we wanted to let the sea breeze in. There are nice restaurants within a short walking distance and we happily munched on a wide variety of sea food. A nice transit point for a relaxing day when you are arriving or leaving from Colombo airport.

Very warm welcome, clean room, perfect location right at the beach near many restaurants. Direct beach access. Good place for the beginning or the final stay in Sri Lanka. The staff speaks fluent English.

At Janishi Residences you will be hosted like a King. The owners are very nice, always up for a chat and helpful for every question you may have during your stay. Unfortunately we just stayed one night here as we had to head back to our country. The room we had was very spacious, clean, there are mosquito protections in front of the windows, the Wifi signal is very strong and the breakfast in front of your room is just wonderful and delicious. If you walk out of the housing, you will find plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. If you need help for your Sri Lanka Journey ahead, the owner has also his own travel agency to show you the highlights on several tours. We can recommend this place without any doubt - you will not regret to stay there. Best from Switzerland

Amazingly friendly owners and staff, very helpful and flexible. Very convenient location, walking distance to the town, numerous restaurants and shops, right by the beach. Fresh and tasty breakfasts served on a balcony/patio. The surroundings are to be imprived; the owner plans to add some greenery, possibly a swimming pool. When that happens, it would be truly a gem.

In November we stayed three times at Janishi residencies. We loved it so much we kept coming back during our travels around Sri Lanka and Maldives. We chose Negombo over Colombo because of airport convenience and also the beach location. We picked a gem in these premises. Run by Nishi and her Father Adham who I now consider our friends. It’s a bit of a home from home. Their hospitality is excellent and if you are like minded people thinking of booking Negombo then give this place a try. We had great advice and a great share of knowledge from Nishi and Adham. There is a bit of work going on extending the amount of rooms they have but are not of an inconvenience. Breakfast on the balcony watching the sea or some fishermen go out is fantastic. The room and bathroom are comfortable and the place is good value for money. There is good air con and a ceiling fan. Lots of restaurants just along the same road. This is a bit of the real Sri Lanka you won’t find by spending a fortune in some big fancy five star hotel. We will be back one day for sure.

The owner stayed up to let me in as checkin shuts at 10pm and my flight landed at 10pm which was lovely of him As soon as I walked in the smell hit us and I had to tell him that we could not stay there If he had any decency he would have let hotels.com know and refunded me my money

We stayed here for a night (I wish we stayed more) as it was our last stop before we take the flight back to India. Father daughter duo are the most amazing people you will meet in Sri Lanka. They are warm, welcoming and have very interesting things to talk abt. Place is right at the beach and you don't have to go far to even shop much :) All in all the only place I recommend in Negombo for stay :P

We arranged for Janishi to pick us up from the airport and Adham the owner greeted us, we were in our room relaxing within 30 minutes or so of grabbing our luggage which was excellent. We stayed for a single night to refresh before beginning a 10 day tour, and Janishi was comfortable and allowed us to adjust to the jet lag. There was some building work on site as they add some extra rooms but as it was the weekend we were not disturbed. Our breakfast before departure was a good snapshot of Sri Lankan cusine to come, string hoppers with dhal and sambol with a platter of fresh exotic fruits with local coffee set us up perfectly, all served on our own balcony overlooking the waves and beach.

If you come to Negombo you need to stay in this faboules bed & breakfast. The hosting Family speaks couple of languages, even German! We enjoyed our stay there, Nishi, Lolly and Adham organized everything for us. We had a 10 days trip through the country. Just amazing. I can recommend this place to everyone.

We stayed two nights at The Janishi Residence and we were made feel like we were family. The place is clean, the homemade food is fantastic, the beach is seconds away; shops and restaurants are right outside the door. My husband and I walked in the backstreets to get a feeling of how locals live, as well as took a tuktuk to the fish market. The hosting family is incredibly kind and make you feel very welcome. All our needs were met and exceeded. Our friends and us had the balcony rooms, so we opened the balcony together (there's a privacy screen in case the guest want to stay apart) and enjoyed watching squirrels running up and down the palm trees and the sunsets and beautiful dawns. I highly recommend this place, and if we are in Sri Lanka again, we will definitely stay there again!

While Negombo has a bit more of a party vibe than I prefer, Janishi Residencies was an excellent place to spend our last day in Sri Lanka before an early flight at the nearby airport. We were welcomed by a father-daughter pair who were super engaging and lovely, and sat with us for a good 20 minutes to get to know us over tea. This was also the only place we stayed in the country that offered window screens so we didn't have to deal with the hassle of a mosquito net!

The owner Adam fetched us at the airport, helped and advise which sim cards are the best to get for our travels in Sri Lanka. What a lovely welcome to Sri Lanka to wake up at Janishi Residence with a gorgeous view of the ocean and a breakfast treat. We had traditional breakfast the one morning and Sri Lankan breakfast the following. Clean, spacious rooms.

my husband and I stayed at Janishi for three nights in October, meeting our friends there to begin our first visit to Sri Lanka. I would have been happy to stay much longer! the clean and spacious room with wonderful balcony looking out to the sea was exactly what I had hoped for to acclimate after a long trip from the U.S. Quiet and peaceful. With a fridge, coffee, tea, hot water kettle and toaster we were all set. Nishi even brought us some milk for our coffee until we could get to the store. The property's street side is a shop which has whatever you need. Do ask for Sri Lankan breakfast---each day Nishi went out of her way to make sure we were served something different and so delicious. we are now addicted. The family were so lovely I can't say enough! Nishi and Mr. Ismail were so generous with their time, help and advice about local things and sri lanka in general we hated to leave. If I am able to return to Sri Lanka I will absolutely stay with them again!

The Janishi is a lovely spot right on the bench and close to restaurants up on the main street. Perfect place to stay if you have a early flight, as it is about 15 minutes from the airport. The family are very welcoming and make you feel right at home. Our room upstairs had great big windows with a balcony that overlooks the beach. The room was spotless, great bed, good pillows, decent towels, tv and furnishings. Bathroom & hot water good, air con and overhead fan. Loved it here and recommend it.

We stayed there for 4 nights and we loved it. The family who owns it will go the extra mile to make your stay memorable. You can have Sri Lankan, English or continental breakfast and everything is fresh, mostly home made, and very tasty. The rooms were clean and nice! Nizreen and her family will give you all the information you need of Negombo and will suggest you day trips to other town as well. They can arrange tuk tuk rides and also pick up and drop to the airport at very reasonable price. The b&b is situated on the beach side in the main road, very close to shops and restaurants as well but you will not hear a rumour during the night, which is good if you are a light sleeper (like myself). I highly recommend Janishi Residencies !

I stayed here for one night with my wife and 14-year-old son. The owner and her daughter were charming and helpful before and during our brief stay and the hotel is comfortable, reasonably priced and very well situated right on Negombo beach. The triple room was very big with a balcony overlooking the sea. If you choose breakfast it is brought to your room to have on the balcony. Couple of downsides were that the shower didn't drain very well, so it risked flooding if you left the shower on for very long, and the breakfast wasn't great, with very basic western fare. They told us afterwards that we could have asked for a sri lankan breakfast, but not before. They didn't bring tea or coffee although there is a teamaker available in the room. So one or two things that could be improved but overall a very good option in Negombo.

With many thanks to the wonderful couple Adham and Lolly, my 2 night stay in Negombo was a very special introduction to Sri Lanka. The couple went out of their way to make me feel welcome and at home. My flight didn't arrive till late in the evening and the wonderful, Adham, was available to give the taxi driver directions and he was waiting in the driveway upon my arrival. The rooms are very clean and the hotel has a lovely view. The location is very good. The breakfast was served on the balcony and was really delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel as a really fabulous place to stay.

Perfect location with beach view, the hotel is almost on the beach, there is just a small garden to cross. Adham and Lolly went out of their way to make our stay as nice as possible. We especially enjoyed the great Sri Lankan breakfast and the spacious, clean room with sea view balcony. We would certainly come back, thank you Lolly and Adham! Extra thanks for helping us organise our bus trip to Anuradhapura and making sure we got there safely! Wifi a bit spotty on the balcony but who cares about that when there is a beautiful ocean view!

If you are looking for a place to escape from all the problems and have a nice place with a nice view and relax in the beach while having a sun bath...this is the place. You get all in one place. Friendly staff and good food. You'll never say no to come back.

I had the best start of my holiday here.Janishi is run by a warm and caring elderly couple, who made me feel at home from the beginning. The room was clean, and the breakfast was fulfilling. From my balcony I had a view over the beach. Couldn't be better
