Utarit Taksim

We had a terrible experience. The shower and toilet in the bathroom were broken, everything except the bedding was filthy and dirty, and the furniture was broken and stained. There was no elevator. The staff was helpful, but the hotel is in terrible condition. It doesn't deserve its stars.

The best thing about Hotel Utarit is its location. Just a minute’s walk from Taksim Square, it’s perfect for exploring Istanbul, with trams, funiculars, taxis and ferries nearby, and major attractions walkable within about an hour. The immediate area is full of cafés, restaurants and shops, yet the street itself is surprisingly quiet. Room 6, where we stayed, has a private balcony with afternoon and evening sun, a very comfortable bed with high-quality linen, and strong Wi-Fi. However, the room needs attention. The air conditioning struggles in the day and only cools properly after sunset. Some sockets spark when used, the shower tray leaks heavily, and the shower head was broken most of the stay, only replaced on the final evening. The harsh ceiling light makes the room feel clinical, and the paintwork looks tired. Noise from a neighbour’s TV is audible in the bathroom but not the bedroom, and the heavy main door downstairs shuts loudly, though this wasn’t disruptive on the third floor. Housekeeping was consistent and staff were polite, helpful and spoke good English, though maintenance issues were slow to be resolved. With only six rooms, the hotel feels private and safe, though it can be tricky to spot — look for Tom Yum restaurant and a taxi office next door. With some repairs and cosmetic updates, this could be great value, but in its current state it falls short despite the excellent location.

I strongly recommend this place. The perfect location and spacious room made me want to stay longer:) The receptionist, Asım was so friendly, thoughtful and always responded immediately:) He takes care of every tiny details you might need. Thanks again for making my stay comfortable:) I definitely going to stay here again when i come to Istanbul:)

The location of the hotel is superb, walkable to taksim square. Easy access both via bus or train from istanbul airport. Just a minute away from MRt station whcih is easy. Hotel room cleaned, completed amenities provided. The staffs also good.

As someone who travels frequently, I can confidently say that this hotel was the best I've ever stayed in. While I won't go on about the location since it's evident from the map, it was the service that truly stood out during our entire trip. We needed a place to stay between flights and randomly chose this hotel based on its location. However, our first flight was significantly delayed, and we arrived in Istanbul at 1 am. To our pleasant surprise, the hotel had contacted us via the booking service and even left a note on the door with instructions for self-check-in. We called the number they provided and they guided us through the process, even at such a late hour. The following day, we requested an extra hour for check-out to finish some business, and the hotel graciously granted our request. They also helped us with our luggage and provided advice on the best way to get to the airport. They even negotiated with a taxi on our behalf. The room itself was cozy and immaculately clean, and the location was superb. However, it was the exceptional service that truly made our stay memorable. If we ever need to return to Istanbul, we won't even consider any other hotel. To the hotel staff, if you're reading this, please know that you made our short stay the best it could possibly be. We will definitely be coming back!

Very nice hotel and very nice experience Hotel location is very good, in the heart of Taksim area. Room was very clean and big enough Price is excellent. Staff are really courteous specially Volkan, he is such a nice and supportive guy. Strongly recommend

Rent och snyggt. Perfekt läge nära Taksim och Istiklal caddesi. Trevlig personal.

The hotel room is cleaned every day the location is perfect the hotel has good glazed windows very quiet the staff are very helpful and friendly service . I would stay there again next time we are in Istanbul

for sure would stay again in UTARIT Hotel - Highly Recommended - Great Location, very nice, supportive & friendly staff. Thanks a lot for ETRAN & ESRA for making our stay lovely & comfortable

Close to all amenities including Havabus to Sabiha or HavaIST to new Istanbul airport. Lots of good restaurants. Convenience metro ride. Price was cheap

Tesekkurler.

Hotel piccolo vicino a Piazza Taksim, gentili e sempre disponibili.

First of all i would thank the guy on tge reception i don't know his name but he was super friendly he helped us with our luggage carrying them to the room , weighting them before going to the airport he is fluent in English the hotel location is 1 min Walking distance from istikla street and 2 mins from the Metro station we took a small room with 2 bed the room service is beyond perfect ! There is a woman with a beautiful smile who cleans the room each time after we left the hotel to start our journey !! If u really want a small room that was our option there is bigger rooms this hotel does the job perfectly

The hotel is in great location with walking distance from a lot of attractions and is really convenient. Rooms are super clean, cozy with interesting, cute decoration! I stayed there for two nights and I really felt comfortable. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is nice, it can be improved though. If you are looking for a sweet, comfortable, convenient place with good price I definitely recommend Utarit Taksim!

Small clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Great location

Tres proche taksim, receptionniste tres aimable, hotel globalement propre.

I stayed at UTARİT TAKSIM hotel with wife. It is a quiete and small hotel which is just located a few steps far away from TAKSIM SQUARE. Rooms are furnished well and walls are seems fachinating. Staff was helpful . As soon as we got in hotel , they offered us apple tea . Breakfast could be improved. It is same everyday. I definately, recommend this place .

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was simple but nice , comfortable and clean. The location was very excellence, near metro and shopping area. We arrived taksim to the point hotel by airport shuttle bus. From here to to hotel us about 700m , it is walkabke but you would need Gps or a map. No body on the street or staff of the hotel nearby will know the location of it. Taking a taxi you would also show them the map as the utarit is a small hotel. The fare is about 10 tl and you need bargain if the driver refuse using meter.

I came with my mother. I gave the trip gift for her birthday. We enjoyed alot. Very helpful staff and very kind. The location was the best. And the price also was nice 😍my mom was happy and she enjoyed. If i go back istanbul i will choose the same 😍

We are living in Germany. We visited our family in Istanbul and we stayed in Utarit. Everything was perfect; best location, warm and friendly supportive stuff, room&sheets everything were so clean!!! Next time definitely i prefer to stay again in Utarit! Thank you for hospitality and all guidance!

It was an amazing small hotel and the room decoration is quite interesting. The room and bathroom was extremely clean at all. Hotel staff were so helpful. Finaly, very good value for money and its absolutely recommended for the travellers who would like to be just a step away from the Taksim, city centre!

It's my first time to go in Istanbul, Turkey and my friends told me that Taksim area is a good place to stay. Finally, i booked a place to stay and this is the place. The location is really really good because it's just 2 mins away to Taksim Metro. There is also a red tram station near to it which some tourist love to experience that. Also along the area, Istiklal street, there are huge number of shops/ restaurants and bars which mostly closes at late night and bars till 5am. The place is also near to Dolmabahce Palace which i walked only for 15-18 mins. The room are cozy and it's good for 2 pax. What I like most is that the designs are quite interesting which you don't normally see in other hotels. Walls are designed with bricks. It's always clean and tidy. Beds are comfortable and has balcony. Managing the place named Muslum (pardon if i spelled it incorrectly) was really accommodating, friendly and nice. I checked in very late at night and tiredI really appreciate him a lot because. I went for 2 days trip in Cappadocia and left my luggage and they take good care of it. That's why i have chosen again for another night after I came back from Cappadocia. The rate is pretty much reasonable given its good location and also a safe place to stay. The next time I visit Istanbul, I will definitely stay there and would also recommend it to my friends. Many thanks again to my good friend Muslum. " teşekkür ederim"

Very nice stay, in the middle of Istıklal street, little noisy but what to expect for if you choose center of Istanbul for your holidays? Very helpful and friendly staff, special thanks Muslum and Osman, he kept an eye on eyes during the whole stay. Breakfast not included to room price but its 5 euros per request. Nice and clean rooms and facilities, would definitely recommend.

We stayed at Utarit for 2 nights. The location can not be better. The room was spacious and clean. We had a room on the front side of the hotel. The mattress was comfortable. Mr.Muslum was very friendly and helpful. We reccommend it.

About the hotel: It's simple and sweet. The room was clean and big enough for me and would have been ok for 2 people. My favorite part of the room was the bathroom. It had new fixtures, including a great shower with 2 shower heads. My room was quiet. They also offer a washing machine for you to use free of charge. The neighborhood is super centrally located. There is some construction on the street but there is construction on almost every street in Istanbul. I felt safe in the neighborhood. There is a makeshift police station nearby which contributed to my feeling of safety. But the best part of the hotel for me was the staff. They were super friendly when they picked me up at the airport and during every moment afterwards. Two of the staffers both gave me their cell phone numbers in case I had any questions or problems, which eventually I did. More about that later.... The staff at the hotel gave me some very practical advice upon my arrival and helped to orient me to the neighborhood. Istanbul can be dangerous for foreigners (I'm American). One night around midnight I found myself in a life-or-death situation in a strange neighborhood and so I called one of the staffers. At my request, he came to pick me up in a taxi and take me back to the hotel. If I hadn't had his cell phone number or if he didn't care enough to pick up the phone that night, I honestly am not sure I would be alive today. For this, I am eternally grateful. In summary, the hotel is a great value, it's in a great location, it's simple and clean and the staff are amazing. Even if they hadn't saved my life, I would have left them a great review.

We booked for 3 nights and really loved the place, it’s just 20 meters from taksim square and next to metro station. But in a very quite street far away from the noise of istiklal street. Rooms are nicely decorated and very clean

Rooms are so clean and comfortable, it's very close to Taksim square. Special thanks for Mr.Muslum for helping us in our stay. Definitely we will stay again when we come back to Istanbul again. Thanks for all Utarit team.

So this unique boutique hotel is within walking distance to taksim and all the attractions.super clean and comfortable rooms with nice amenities such as tea kettles, coffee and cable Chanel tv.both owners osman and Muslim are beyound professional and accommodating.i would definitely return on my future visits and definitely recommend this lovely hotel.

Hey there, We stayed a week here. Location is very good, whenever u want to go out u can. Also, the staffs are good, they help u a lot. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Thnks to Mr.Orman for his guide

Over all our stay was great. Its small boutique hotel in heart of Istanbul Taksim. Walking distance to all major restaurants, bar, pubs, shops. Our room was good decent size with comfy beds and clean I do recommend to everyone this lovely hotel.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone located in a heart of Istanbul Great location, walking distance to taksim Lovely rooms and very clean and most of all good customer service Osman and Muslim are the best . Everything is just SUPERB 👍

The accomodation is very comfortable and is located 20m from Taksim square. Moslim and Osman are also very hospitable and social and always are available for help. It is highly recommended for who wants to have a pleasant residence in Istanbul.

Really nice small hotel in the centre of Taksim. Just off the main road where you can find all the shops, metro, trams and buses that you need. The rooms are not big, but they have all the comforts (TV with 1000 channels, kettel, free tea, coffee and water every day) and are especially very cleaned (very important for us). Nice shower as well! The owner is very kind, always available and helpful. Highly racommended.
