Reviewed Mar 25, 2024Room service was excellent. Food was absolutely fantastic. No pool or fitness center. Right downtown and you could walk to an array of shops and restaurants. Beggars all over the place. We were approached more than 30 times in one hour sitting outside at a street restaurant. So after that we just ate and had cocktails in the hotel bar and restaurant. The staff was extremely attentive and the food was great with a huge variety. The only complaint I had at this hotel was that you could not charge anything to you room. You could not even leave a credit card at the front desk. The only way you could charge anything to your room was to deposit $5000.00 pesos and they would reimburse you for the difference back to your card but it would take up to 3 weeks to show up. Would I stay there again? Yes, because of the location and the food and especially the service. You do have to park about a block away in a secure covered parking lot. I think you can get closer parking if you ask for it ahead of time. However, don’t book it through Hotels.com. It is substantially cheaper if you book it directly with the hotel.

Hotel itself is a little run down; a friend who chauffered us to the hotel visited with for more than 30 minutes and our bill was charged an extra $10US. We were not alerted to this when we advised the desk that our ride was returning.

But have a circle of bug bites on my side that may have been BED BUGS!!?? Never experienced them before but Bites resemble everything I have read. Did not see any bed bugs!! Just bites since back in Guatemala???

I made the hotel reservations for both couples and chose the option of paying at the hotel rather than paying on-line. The information given at the time the reservations were made, was that the credit card was used only for making the reservations. However, at the time of checkout we were told that our credit card had been billed. This was not what was agreed to and it made us feel uncomfortable.

Reviewed Apr 2, 2018From the moment we checked in, all we saw were friendly faces. This is a no frills hotel, but very clean. The beds, bathrooms and all over decoration are simple but in good taste. Be ware that if you stay in a room with a balcony, you will hear the street noise and though not a complete nuisance it might prevent some from a good sleep. The breakfast buffet is delicious with options for everyone, fresh fruit, made to order omelettes and many different Mexican foods. Parking lot is not in the premises but half a block away, the park is also a block away. The area where this hotel is located is very busy during the day and quite safe at night.
