Raven Blue

The overall setup was quite simple but exactly what we were after. A basic breakfast was also included which again was adequate. The accommodation was perfect and the family provided an inexpensive washing service. The location was quiet but in easy reach of beach, Pangea beach bar and local restaurants.

Nothing

We had a lovely stay at Raven Blue! The place was really nice. Clean, comfy and close to the beach. The staff was friendly and very helpful. And there were lots of cats around! Definitely recommend!

Atmosfera, camera, staff, posizione

Had a great stay in Koh Lanta at Raven Blue. Property's in a good location on Long Beach. We rented scooters through the property and it was easy to get around everywhere. The room's are well set up

This was such good value and so comfortable we extended our stay by a week. The room is clean and cleaned again whenever you like. Towels and mats are replaced when requested. The bed is quite soft fot Thailand and so really comfy. You get 2 pillows each and there is a mosquito net. There is a fridge and a kettle. The bathroom is clean. The shower is hot and divided off so the whole room doesn't get wet. The WiFi works really well. There is free coffee and drinking water refills at reception area. The staff are lovely and really helpful. I would highly recommend.

It is about 200 meters to the beach but if this was on the beach it would be double the price. They warn you about the noise from beach parties but we found it to be quite faint and had no trouble sleeping.

Alles war super. Top Besitzer. Einfach ein Traum. Wir kommen aufjedenfall wieder

The property has access to a nice beach, but was surrounded by swampy area with mosquitos. They did have mosquito netting over the bed. The location was not close to stores or amenities. It was overpriced for what you got. I chose not to stay there at all and found another hotel.

We started our trip on Koh Lanta at Raven Blue on Long Beach. This simple but well-thought-out accommodation sits in a quieter, less developed part of the beach, giving us the perfect mix of peace and easy access to the action just minutes away. The owners and staff are amazing, always happy to help with bookings, scooters, and local tips. And the hammocks? Just perfect! On Tuesdays and Sundays there’s a beach rave with techno nearby playing late into the night. It didn’t bother us at all.

Great value for money So close to the beach & Great location in the middle of koh lanta Outdoor seating & hammock

Room felt small-ish after some days (we stayed a full 7 day week so i assume for a couple a days its fine, outfoor seating made up for it) Yes, there is a beach club which only has ‘late’ parties on sundays (~12-1am) & tuesdays (~later) but we slept right through it as it wasn’t too loud, and i appreciated that the staff told us about it beforehand.

Had a great 8 days in raven blue. Excellent location 3min walk to beach and pretty quiet place. Nice hammock on small terrace and very friendly owner who helps with trips, scooter and everything.

Close to the beach and we had a fantastic room

Lovely friendly and quiet place

Great calm location.

A bit far from better shopping

It’s a little, cozy hidden place

Vil klart komme igen

Amazing accomodation, very close to a beach within walking distance, you can hire scooters through them for a good price, super friendly staff and cats

Arguably the nicest place Ive stayed at in a long time. Very friendly owner. Super clean and just a 2 min walk to the beach!

Nothing. It was perfect!

Also, alles andere als ruhig.

Very close to Phra Ae beach where there are some beach bars/restaurants. Lovely place to watch the sunset enjoying a drink/meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Don (I think his name was) speaks excellent English and is only a WhatsApp call away to arrange trips/taxi/moped and to sort out any issues which he did promptly on more than one occasion during our stay. We used the pool area at the complex next door and, we were told by another traveler, that you could also use the pool at the hostel next door but one but we didn’t use that one so can’t verify that. We weren’t in high season so not sure if this option is available when all the hotels are busy. If not you still have the beach and sea. Rooms are basic, showers not the best, but very clean have decent air con and mosquito nets. They will be serviced every day if you like. Breakfast is basic (eggs any way you like and fresh fruit) if you opt for it but saves going out to find somewhere to eat. Having said that when we went there was the Together Cafe next door where we ate once and it was excellent quality, very reasonably priced and served very nice coffee which can be hard to find in Thailand.

This area is next to a mangrove forest/swamp so the mosquitoes are very prevalent if that’s an issue for you. I don’t say this as a downer on the property just an advisory note. Not many bars/restaurants on the main road near to this hotel if you like to wander out at night. We visited The Irish Embassy (excellent bar for food and drink) who have live music on a couple of times a week which is about a 5 minute walk along the main road.

Polite and very helpful staff. Very clean rooms.

This place is a small gem in Lanta. The staff is so nice and friendly, the room is cozy and clean, bed is comfortable and the position is great, just two minutes walking from the beach. If you want to relax you can do it 24h day, it is a very silent place. ( on Tuesday there is a beach party but i couldn't hear any music from the room). A big hugh to padthai, the super lovely cat of ravenblue.

All he pervious reviews are correct. Very good accommodation for the price.

The owner was beyond helpful, the hotel was close to the beach, the food was great, the beach was amazing.

I got stung by a jellyfish, nothing to do with the hotel

Raven Blue is so well situated near to the beach and many restaurants and bars. Excellent hosts and staff ensure high standards of cleanliness and hospitality. Its owners also owns an excellent restaurant nearby that should be utilised as it offers a different dining experience. Great value and comfortable accommodation..with beach bars a few metres walk .. just go there !.

A very charming rustic place. No major frills, but the location makes up for this. Excellent location, within 200 yards after the beech. Fantastic hosts most helpful and welcoming.

Really cosy atmosphere, very clean and perfectly located. The staff was very friendly and helpful. 🌟

Overall the Raven Blue offers excellent value and comfortable accommodation with a friendly obliging staff and owner Don. It is very well situated with a beautiful beach and fun filled bar a stroll away. The breakfast is very good with omelette if required cooked for you and plenty fruit and tea or coffee to start your sunny day. The owner Don is very obliging and knowledgeable on every level so you’re in good hands at this hotel.

Peaceful atmosphere, friendly and helpful people who run this place. Simply delicious breakfast, clean rooms. They even have laundry facilities and scooter rentals on-site, which is super convenient. It’s so close to the beach where we could enjoy stunning sunsets. Plus, there are plenty amazing restaurants nearby. Once you’re here, you don’t want to leave :)

Basic bungalows very close to the beach. No frills but good value. Comfortable bed and warm shower.

Very clean room and excellent host

There is a dump just few metres away and is full of mosquitos. Also the road to the rooms has no light at night and feels dangerous

We enjoyed the friendly welcome and atmosphere. it is a small property close to the beach. The rooms are well decorated and clean with a hammock and small table on a small balcony in front of each unit. We enjoyed the choice at breakfast. Don, the owner, was very friendly.

The only thing we didn't like was that the pathway back to the property was not lit at night.

Staff very friendly family. Breakfast the best we had - served on the veranda. Only a few minutes to the beach.

Missing in the room: Room for clothing, bed lamps, chair, hand soap.

Amazing location, wonderful owner, modern style spacious and clean room with balcony. Didn’t have time to try breakfast but definitely will do next time we have the pleasure of staying at raven blue

The only thing that I would say was missing was hand soap to be provided

We were very happy at Raven Blue and extended our stay from 3 to 6 nights. The beds were comfortable, the room was well-ventilated (no wet floors), and AC was cold. The hotel only has about 10 units so it's generally quiet and laid back. Quite close to the beach. Manager Don and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast is good with big portions. Units would be perfect with a table lamp, kettle, and sheer/privacy curtains (in addition to darkening curtains).

Bass beats from parties every Tuesday (and some other nights). Bring earplugs!

The owner was very friendly and helped us book an amazing island tour. Our room was clean, the balcony was very nice, and the beach is 2 minutes away.

Pretty good value for money, but wish there was a pool

Staf was very friendly and helpful . You can get everything from Don. Tasty pancakes in the morning . Atmosphere is awesome. Just relax and enjoy. Beach party at Pangea beach bar was great.

Road to the beach at dark could be little scary but nothing serious. Maybe they will put some lights later. Its only starts again after covid

We had a really great time. Fantastic vibe, friendly staff, good breakfast, great location. Small place but cozy and with everything you need for a great stay.

Love this place! Quiet and clean, a great place to chill close to Long Beach. The staff are so great and friendly!

It was just a bit hard to find at first, the entrance is off the main road next to DOLCEVITA

J'y retournerais.

Great stay and perfect location. 3 minutes walk to the beach and bit away from the main road. Quiet, clean and nice staff. Good breakfast and they make the eggs your way. Will definitely come back

Points positifs : à échelle humaine. Calme. Proximité de la plage. Près des bons restaurants à pied. Hamac.

Very clean, air con good and quite, shower very good, big problem with loud music every night

This is a little gem and I ended up staying longer than planned (9 days in total). I am a solo woman traveller and Raven Blue suited me very well. The place is small, cozy, and laid back. Rooms are simple but sufficient with a good bed, silent AC, shower bath room, and a nice little patio outside your room with a hammock. Good wifi. The place is a very short walk to a wonderful beach (but far enough so that the party music does not keep you awake). Also walking distance to Kohub and to many wonderful restaurants a little further down the coast. Raven Blue provides a good breakfast and also offers a convenient and cheap laundry service. Super nice and helpful staff. Would come again.

First time in Lanta. Arrived here and stayed 6 nights. Good and clean rooms. 2 minute walk to the beach. Nice and sinple breakfast is included and cooked for you each morning. They also provide refils for your water bottles to reduce plastic waste. Laundry service. Motorbike will be provided if needed. Conviniently located for roaming around the island. The owner Don will help you with anything you need. Higly recommend this place. Only negative is a couple beach party places making some noise a few times a week close by but it was not too bad and ended quite early. In the mornings this place has a beautiful atmosphere with jazz music on at breakfast.

fresh hotel near long beach, lovely reception with good social and english skills

It was a very pleasant stay here. Beach was just one minute walk away and it was easy to rent a motorbike from the hotel.

Clean room, nice staff, peacefull area. Everything was great. If you need scooter, any information, or anything at all, just go to reception and you get what you need.

Less than 10 rooms! Owner is awesome, as the other reviews have covered, it’s the kind of place you’re happy to give your money to. Long Beach is the best beach to be on, rent a scooter to get to the rest. We booked 2 days, and stayed for 6, you do the math. Those looking for an on the beach resort, all inclusive type place, you can find that elsewhere. Those looking for a comfy spot, bang for your buck, and wanting to explore the island, Raven Blue is for you!

Don is really a great host. The bungalows are really clean and feel brand new. This place is highly recommended. Even though it’s not beachfront, there is a small road that goes directly to the beach (2mins walking distance). I highly recommend this place.

Great location with a personal touch. We extended our stay as it was ideal for our time on Lanta.

The best hotel in this area. Only take 2 mins walk to the beach. Not so many people as the other ones. Clean, comfortable, everything we need is prepared. Also the breakfast is perfect for us.

We realise this part of Koh Lanta was too busy and developed for us and the south was much nicer. However if you want to stay in the area this place is good value- the beach and beach bar at the end of the dirt road were very close and a great asset as well

staff are always helpful and friendly. good location to the beach and there's a wonderful restaurant called may's kitchen nearby 5 min walk. adorable cat is living at the reception. you may relax in the hammok at the terrace. thanks everyone.

Good, clean, safe place to stay. Comfortable and quiet and good location.

Room was modern and very clean. Bed was one of the best on a 3 month Trip. Don the owner was caring and a very good host.He organised our onward travel with ease.3 mins from the beach. Simply perfect. I hope the leg get better soon Don.

Blue Raven is excellent value for the discerning traveler. The owner is friendly, helpful, and communicates clearly and positively with the guests. His small staff consists of pleasant people. Blue Raven is an easy walk down to the beach, and it's just far enough away so that party noise remains on a distant periphery. Rooms are semi-spartan yet very clean. The small table with two chairs and the hammock are excellent touches for the small porch.

Really nice resort 10min drive from Saladan. 2min walk to beach and Pagean beach bar. Small resort with good service: breakfast, laundry etc. No kids around!

We had the best stay at Raven Blue. Don gave us a warm welcome, he's staff cooked a lovely breakfast in the mornings. They both helped if we needed anything and the location of the little hotel was perfect. It's a lovely quiet place, clean, modern and close to the beach. Highly recommended.

Excellent quality/price ratio. Staff very welcoming and helpfull.

Stayed initally 2 nights but loved it so much that we stayed an extra 2 nighs. Don's a great host and is super helpful and speaks pretty good english.

Hotel of a high standard, clean and modern rooms, very friendly staff, great breakfast

Litet personligt boende. Frukosten helt ok..

Cortesia no atendimento dos proprietários e ótima limpeza dos quartos.

Doon, the 28yr old owner is the nicest guy! He built Raven Blue from nothing and opened it 7 months ago. We had a great stay! -only 8 rooms in complex -100ft from Phra Ae sandy beach - good free breakfast - hammock! -free coffee and tea all day - cheap scooter rental (200 baht/day) - very clean - great ac - great price - friendliest staff on our whole trip! - very relaxed vibe.
