De lokatie.
De dekbedhoezen waren veel te ruim voor de dekbedden.
Comfortable room and up to date facilities. Breakfast was good. Plenty of helpful staff.
Evening food in restaurant was 'average' and not very appetizing. Hotel Decor was a strange mix - I'ts a tudor building maybe less purple lighting would benefit?
Good location Evening meal was nice Restaurant staff attentive and helpful
Check in was frustrating as needed to download an app to access room - we eventually got a key card Bar area ok apart from very slippery floor which we saw a number of people slip on! Breakfast was standard - dry fried eggs and little vegetarian choices
It was clean tidy and comfortable
Easy access to everything and plenty of parking
Nice room, good food and friendly staff
Ignore the multiple signs about parking in the car park and wait to check in as parking is free if you type your details into the terminal by reception

Donnington Manor is a very pleasant Hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable, with A.C. surprisingly, plenty of storage and all the little touches (bottled water, tissues, sewing kit, safe etc) that are lacking in a lot of hotels. The dining room was attractive and breakfast and dinner well cooked.
We found the hotel very pleasant, but the hotel bar was a little cold in temperature, cheerless and bland and on both stays very few people seemed to linger.
Staff friendly
Breakfast isn't great
Location and the staff who are lovely! Rooms clean and comfortable
Nothing!
Excellent staff, caring and attentive
Nothing
Everything was clean and in good order. The food we had was nice.
The decor was really incongruous with the age of the old restaurant building. Dreadful purple disco lighting over dated paintings and beams just didn’t work and gave it a weird effect.
Excellent Hotel. I knew it many years ago when very old. Our room was a little tight and bathroom small. As I am registered disabled movement not too good. Large rooms on the next two floors but could not split the very large bneds. No twins upstairs. Twins only on tje ground floor and all the same. Only one assessable room A single.
rooms for all available would be nice. Beautiful . Wonderful food. Was there 9 days. Would love to go back if ever we go that way again. But not so long could not manage. Did get to me a bit. Found it awkward.
Clean and nice !
Lot of disturbance with the ac , kindly check the system !
Excellent start to finish. Thank You

It is a beautiful hotel with good facilities.
We were charged to check in early even though the room was available. Breakfast options were not replenished so if you turn up a bit later, your options were limited.
Very nice room. Thick carpets in hallway meant no noise from other guests
Nothing
Beautiful rooms with every detail thought of and very friendly staff
Nothing to complain about
We had a lovely room and the set menu that came with our booking was exceptional and the staff were amazing
Sadly the toilet was blocked in the men’s and my husband used it after our evening meal and as he sat on the toilet water rose right up and down his trousers and it was awful he had to shower when we got back to our room .. He did mention this to reception straight away after the incident Only disappointment i personally felt was that when we made our booking I mentioned it was our 10th Wedding Anniversary and at the time I had a wonderful response saying you were pleased we had chosen to celebrate at your hotel and could you arrange anything as in Prosecco in the room , I thanked but said no as we don’t drink it but you also said as a little touch rose petals on the bed ..I thought this would be lovely and said yes please …sadly I know it sounds petty but no rose petals was there ..I felt a bit sad about that
Clean and comfortable, lovely stay.
Welcoming staff helpful throughout, resturant staff knowledgable and very friendly. Room was well stocked and cleaned very thoughly. Overall great place to stay
Low level noise at night
Very convenient and fantastic customer service
Convenience to Central train station
Carpets in room had some kind of wax or shine on them
Comfy bed and great shower. Very quick service with bar food!
Breakfast room a little dark with low beams, a smile from the only waiter on duty may have helped, he obviously didn't want to be there!
Location and staff
Small room
Parking is very good
Comfy bed. Fridge in the room.
The info said the breakfast ran til 10 a.m. We went down at 8.45 and were rushed through our breakfast. Then told us we had to get what we wanted before 9.30. No explanation or apology. They came in and took everything away by 9.35. The staff behaved like robots. Not friendly robots either. The room was very badly designed and the bathroom was tiny.
Very polite & helpful staff. Nice room, very comfortable bed, good bathroom. Food was average, no issues. Decent breakfast.
Nothing in particular.
Comfort of the room as always
Nice hotel in a good setting.
Most staff not particularly welcoming. Not good communicators.
Comfortable beds, great location, air conditioning.
Food is quite expensive.
Room, staff, comfy bed and good shower, great parking
The food was very poor.
Stayed here often and liked it every time. Close to where our children live
Clean, comfortable, well equipped room and helpful friendly staff
Staff were helpful and polite. Plenty of parking. Food great. Gluten free catered for. Good breakfast.
Room was very comfortable and quiet black out blind was superb
Breakfast was a little limited and shower was a little small
Friendly staff
Expensive. Lumpy pillows.
Clean hotel and very friendly and attentive staff
Late arrival of cabs due to location of hotel
Everything was spot on - highly recommend Great value for money
Location. Quiet rooms were clean
Breakfast wasn’t great
Good quality hotel but no atmosphere in the bar and no sign of any manager.
Staff were not particularly welcoming or friendly.
car park on site.
never seen so many different shades of brown in a hotel. floors walls sideboards, wardrobes. everything is brown. and the carpet is slippery? unsure how that’s even possible. i don’t feel the hotel warrants the price tag.
Sehr schönes Hotel mit gepflegten Außenbereich Abendessen und Frühstück sehr reichhaltig und lecker Zimmer mit sehr leiser Klimanlage Wellnessbad mit Regendusche

Clean and convenient.
Claims to be a 4 star hotel. In fact it looks like a 3 star hotel. As such it is over priced.
We stayed at Donnington Manor as we were attending our Uncles 90th birthday in Brasted. The hotel was immaculately clean and the staff very helpful. Our only gripe was the food. We are definitely not a fan of “ buffet” style breakfast. And sadly this didn’t change our opinion here. Another guest commented that you needed strong teeth to deal with the bacon! The fried eggs were like bullets , the sausage the same. It’s such a shame as we saw plenty of food being brought out freshly cooked but going into the hot plates just continued cooking them. And as for the help yourself tea and coffee! Please, Its not that hard to bring out fresh tea and coffee for people. I would suggest maybe a rethink of the cooked buffet style breakfast. Sorry
Good location. Clean room. Nice tea and coffee.
It feels more like a business hotel rather than a place for a break.
The rooms were quiet and we got a good night's sleep.
Breakfast was very limited, considering the cost and it being a four star hotel.
The Room was well equipped for all hotel needs, everything was very clean and well maintained, the staff were very polite and helpful. The bar / restaurant area and the outside space to sit was great especially in the warm sunny conditions.
Our room was ground floor, closest to the elevator and reception area, room 101, so not a room you would want to spend say more than one night in for general noise of other guests late / early in the lobby or the lift area but probably the only room with that noise issue and so I would be confident in saying the rest of the hotels rooms would be much better.
The room was clean and well presented, nice beds and air conditioning was very welcome in this hot weather. Plenty of parking too which was an important consideration for us. However the thing that lets the hotel down is the Breakfast which is very poor, on both mornings we were not on the list and so were viewed with a bit of suspicion although we were allowed to eat without a fuss. The presentation , quality and choice is 2 star at best, terrible fried eggs and awful orange juice, although in fairness the coffee was ok. The evening meals were fine, nicely presented and quality was good, although they add a 10% service charge which is only shown in tiny print at the bottom of the menu.
Very comfy bed
Tiny rooms, breakfast not great, night staff very unhelpful. They watched us struggle with for cases after travelling for nearly 20 hours and just pointed at the lift. Can here traffic all night
Lovely, well looked after Hotel. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Lovely Aromatherapy Associates generously available in the bedrooms. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Easy to use Car Park. Pleasant just out of town location.
Rooms were modern providing everything you would need if on a business trip. The bathroom was very nice and modern. There is an onsite restaurant and bar serving meals most of the day.
Rooms had dark furnishings and thus a bit gloomy. Only one pillow provided which was large and hard - too high for me to use. Pegs in bathroom were so high up on the top of the door and I couldn't reach them to hang towels up. There was air conditioning but so fierce we had to turn it off!. Our room was quite narrow so there was no real room to put suitcases on the floor without blocking access around the room. Two phones were provided for calling reception and making landline calls - rather old fashioned and took up space. Maybe one hand set would have been enough.
Clean and tidy spot on
Nothing
Plenty of parking Good breakfast Large double bed Good size room Helpful staff
Small breakfast area Needs more than one coffee station Room furniture is dated and more table space would be nice
A very pleasant welcome at reception. Although not huge, the room was clean and tidy with a great ensuite shower room. The full English breakfast in the morning was extremely good. All in all a very good stay.
It might have been nice to have had a bath, which my wife enjoys.
Quiet hotel. Friendly staff. Restaurant very reasonable prices and excellent food very well presented
Only a minor issue but seating in the bar was not comfortable
Breakfast very limited
Lovely location and very good staff.
Room was a good size, clean with a very good shower, A couple of spring water bottles in the room. Mini bar fridge but empty.
We booked to eat in the restaurant and was served by a very agreeable young man. My wife's Sea Bass was apparently ok, but my steak pie I had to complain about. Far to much fat inside, as much as meat, but our waiter was very sympathetic and didn't charge for a super glass of red wine and knocked the VAT off the bill.
On arrival and throughout our stay, it was impossible to pay with cash. Nonsensical!! Breakfast was overseen on 2 mornings by the most miserable person ever. This lead to the fact we didn’t eat in the hotel’s restaurant at night. We returned at 16.30 hours on the second day of our trip to find that the room had not been cleaned, despite us having put the usual sign outside our door. All-in-all, we felt the hotel did not offer traditional hospitality whereby everybody was welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We will not return.
Great rooms good service
The breakfast is one price £15 which is great if you are going to use the full buffet. We had children who only wanted scrambled egg still £15. Menu should be more flexible for smaller portions. Very slow service for breakfast only one server.
Easy to find. Staff very helpful. Hotel very clean throughout. Room comfortable. Breakfast excellent.
ligging t o. v. London en t.o.v. shuttle uitstekend
airconditioning stond wel heel koud toen we de kamer inkwamen, dat kan veel warmer, en spaart dan energie!
The staff were extremely polite, helpful and efficient. The cleanliness was exceptional and could not be faulted.
The standard rooms were very small and the fitments were at the standard I would expect of a premier inn rather than a 4* hotel, the beverage station was small and underneath I cupboard that my husband kept banging his head on. There was no fridge in the standard room.
The Donnington Manor Hotel is in a great location for me, hence my reason for staying there a number of times, its in a quiet location with plenty of parking. The bed was comfy with all the basic requirements needed for a business stop over. The salad I had in the evening was delightful, well presented and tasty.
This visit fell well short of my expectations, the room was not very clean which I reported to the receptionist on departure, particularly the floor which clearly hadn't been vacuumed thorough for a while. There is also a cleaning spray used on the floor which sticks to your socks and then makes them slippery within your shoes afterwards which is quite annoying. Wi-Fi is an important element for any business traveler, on this occasion I couldn't use the hotel Wi-Fi so had to revert back to a hotspot on my mobile phone which allowed me to do the basics but certainly added to the workload on my second night in another hotel who fortunately had very fast, reliable Wi-Fi. Breakfast was a disappointment to, no buffet and the gentlemen taking my order simply sat me down and asked me what I wanted and then started listing the options, I asked if he had a menu which he then had to go and get, he then stood over me whilst I read through and placed my order. Poached eggs are my measure of a good hotel and on this occasion they were poor. Upon checking out I asked for a copy of my bill so I could check the itemization, unfortunately this was then presented as one lump sum, I only asked for this to allow me to process my expenses and apportion each element to the right area of my own expense claim, the lack of detail meant I then had to work back through each element of my orders only to find a hidden service charge had been applied. I have absolutely no issues with service charges if they are justifiable, are going to the service team and openly shown to the paying customer, I have stayed at the Donnington Manor Hotel many times before so I am hopeful this was a one off, unfortunately on this occasion its enough to make me look elsewhere before booking again.
first class service
nothing
Comfortable clean and convenient for our visit.
The ability to check in online before arrival wasn’t working so it was a bit disorganised when we arrived
The staff were very welcoming and professional. The room was perfect, well appointed, new, clean and very comfortable.
The background music in the restaurant especially at breakfast time was intrusive and annoying and I didnt like the plastic flowers
Friendly staff, comfortable modern rooms, useful gym, lovely bar - didn't try the restuarant. Nice period building fused with modern architecture and interesting landscape features.
The breakfast was a little overpriced so we ate elsewhere
Property and rooms were spotlessly clean, free parking with EV charging was great, and small gym came in handy.
Not much to complain about really. A fridge in the room would have been useful, and a little more variety at breakfast would be good (no veggie sausage option). Minor points however.
Clean, comfortable rooms.
The staff were polite but the restaurant was really poor. The coffee machine kept breaking at breakfast and the kitchen took 3 attempts to serve mash potato that wasn’t fridge-cold in the middle.
The quaint cottage where the restaurant is situated.
Nothing not to like.
The quaint older cottage in which the restaurant is situated.
Nothing not to like.
No fridge in room
The room and bathroom were clean with a very comfortable bed and pillows. However there was a confusion with my room booking and calling the hotel twice and asking to speak to the manager for clarification, I was denied twice. Breakfast was a huge disappointment - completely self service with no staff present other than to inform us how many minutes until it finished.
Lovely room, great facilities lovely food, dinner and breakfast were excellent and air conditioned throughout the hotel
Free parking.
Had full english cooked breakfast. Bacon was overcooked, like leather. They did replace it, but why bring it out when it is so obviously inedible. One small sauage. No buffet when we were there. Waiter at breakfast was miserable.
As always the room was excellent and the reception staff
Nothing was bad - restaurant could just do with a couple more staff present for breakfast
Room, and hotel clean, comfortable and well proportioned.
Bathroom floor very slippery, especial when wet. Breakfast, bit of a nightmare, more staff required. If offering a buffet you should ensure that the breakfast items are stocked up and hot. Regrettably, failed on both.
Heel vriendelijk personeel.. Kamer is prima, luxe.
Kamer had iets meer ruimte mogen hebben. Matras is matig.
Nice setting. Staff were friendly. Hotel was was relaxing. Room was nice and clean.
Food a bit pricey!
Excellent Room. Poor breakfast
Breakfast was poor
Het personeel was ongelooflijk vriendelijk !
Beautiful old part of hotel, mixed quiet well with new Asian side.
Weren’t told restaurant was fully booked for one of our night stay.
Breakfast was the worst experience during our stay. Very chaotic and disorganised in comparison to all of the other hotels we have frequented. Staff didn’t seem able to keep on top of the food items that had run out and the serve yourself drinks caused massive queues and difficulty accessing the food trays . If staff can improve on the breakfast then the hotels overall scores would definitely be much better
Breakfast . Not at all.
The staff were friendly and the gym, although very small, was equipped with what seemed like brand new machines. Can't comment on breakfast as I didn't have it. If you're arriving by train, be aware it's a walk of around 15 mins but it's all footpaths so not bad at all.
The room really needed renovating. No fridge either. Carpets were so old and tatty they were threadbare in places. I don't think it was dirty but just clear it needed a refresh. For the price I would expect more tbh.
Room was adequate. Beds comfortable. Could hear other noisy guests though shouting drunkenly.
Breakfast was sheer chaos. We had to sit in the bar and the choice of food was poor. This was midway into breakfast service - not at the end. No fruit. Not good value at all. People queuing down the restaurant for the buffet. Really terrible organisation. Unhelpful staff. Why encourage people to add breakfast when you don't have the ability or space to cater for them? Had room service to grab food before a long wedding; they said they would clear away the dishes and glasses but no one bothered - they were still there at midnight when we arrived back - not pleasant.
On arrival the hotel looked fine, staff on reception seemed friendly. Then things deteriorated. So many issues I am listing them as briefly as I can here. Paying on Arrival. We were expected to pay our Dinner, Bed and Breakfast bill immediately on arrival. In 5 decades of staying in many hotels, this has never happened. Usually credit card details are taken, so any extra expenses can be added and the whole bill is paid on departure. No fridge. Just an empty cupboard in our room. Most decent hotels these days provide a small fridge. Difficult for me as I have to bring my own milk. In the July heat it would have been nice to cool the bottled water provided. Issues at Dinner. Service was reasonable and my meal first night – sea bass – was fine. The meat in my husband’s pie was fatty and hard, but we are reasonable people and tend not to complain, so we let this go. Back in our room the phone rang. Why had we not paid for the wine – and our apparent ‘over-consumption’ at the meal! WHAT?? NO-ONE had explained on arrival that there was a ‘money limit’ on what could be ordered for dinner and there was NO mention of this on booking! We have never come across this before. It would be impossible for anyone to order 3 courses from the menu – even the least expensive – without going over this ‘limit.’ The staff were completely muddled. This first night we were told it was £30 each for the a la carte menu, £25 each for the Set 2-course menu. The following night a different member of staff said it was £25 for the a la carte menu and just £20 for the Set menu! We questioned this and it was corrected. The same issue arose the next night! Why don't staff understand the details. Why not charge a bit more for DBB and allow people to eat what they like, without having to add up at the table? Noise. Each night in our room there was a ‘clunk’ sound, followed by an irritating loud buzzing, which went on for 3-4 minutes. A couple of hours or so later it happened again. We reported it to Reception, who said, call us the next time it happens. This was not practical. We were out in the day and the buzzing would disturb us 3-4 times in the night, every night. We tracked it to the screwed hatch above the bathroom door, but no-one ever followed up to ask us about it. Breakfast. Appalling. Under-staffed. No-one at the door to greet you, although a waiter stopped me each day at some point while I was getting food, to ask for our room number. Why? The usual reason for this is when staff show you to the table as you arrive, and ask if you would like tea or coffee with your breakfast – they then serve it at the table. Cups and saucers should be already on the table. This is proper customer service at breakfast in any reasonable hotel. Instead, everyone had use a slow hot drinks machine. This caused a permanent queue of people, making it difficult for those who had to get past the queue to find croissants, fruit or hot food, or even sugar because everything was so close together. Only mugs were provided, but many people, including me, prefer the civilisation of cup and saucer. There was no decaffeinated tea or coffee provided by the machine. Sugar and teaspoons ran out at each breakfast, as did plates, and some hot food. All too often, no staff in sight to ask. People were standing around, waiting for a member of staff to appear. The fried eggs were dreadful. Many yolks were broken and all were over-cooked. The bacon seemed under-cooked. Second evening meal. Four of us as friends had joined us. Realised the menus were not accurate. Some had items missing which were on other, apparently identical, menus. We had to point this out to staff. Towels. There was a sensible sign in our room about energy saving. “Leave used towels in the shower or on the floor. Towels you want to use again, hang on the hooks provided.” I did this the first morning and we came back to find ALL the towels had been removed and new ones provided. Second day, towels on hooks still there – but another pile of new towels! Are the Housekeeping staff told about the towel protocol? Worst part of the whole stay was the attitude to money. A friend ordered a coffee in the bar after a meal. As the waitress put it on the table she said, "You’ll have to pay for that now.” Not good customer service. But when questioned, staff said they ‘had’ to do this. Taking credit card details on arrival prevents this kind of issue and is smoother and more civilised for everyone.
We recently stayed at Donnington Manor Hotel and, overall, had a good stay, although there were some clear highs and lows. Our room was excellent – comfortable, clean and well-appointed. We couldn’t fault it and would happily give it 5 out of 5. Dinner on both evenings was superb. The food was beautifully cooked, well presented and full of flavour. It was one of the highlights of our stay and definitely deserves 5 out of 5. Parking was also excellent, with plenty of spaces and no issues at all, so another 5 out of 5 there. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. They worked hard and were always pleasant, so we’d rate them 4 out of 5. The biggest disappointment was breakfast. On both mornings it felt disorganised and rather chaotic. Service struggled to keep up, and the overall experience didn’t match the high standard set by the evening meals. We’d only rate breakfast 2 out of 5. Overall, we’d rate our stay around 3½ to 4 stars. With some improvements to the breakfast service, this hotel could easily achieve a much higher overall rating.
Perfect position
For the price we paid I think breakfast should have been included
Na
Very pleasant
Friendly staff very good breakfast
Location great friendly helpful staff breakfast good
Nothing
我喜欢安静的环境,很贴心给我提供了非常安静的房间,而且因为我不会英文,前台小姐姐还给我翻译了中文沟通,很不错的入住体验!
We booked this hotel because we were celebrating a friends 70th Birthday and wanted to be close to Biggin Hill, Chartwell and Hever Castle. I would never stay here again. The staff are friendly and helpful but sadly the management do not seem to have any experience of hotel hospitality and the premise that the customer is always right. At check in we were informed of the "allowance" in the restaurant for DB and B guests. This was £30 for each guest from the Chartwell restaurant menu. On both nights we dined we were offered 2 menus. A set menu and an A La Carte menu. The allowance was £30 for the first and £25 for the second. We did query this when presented with the bill at the end of the meal. After much discussion it was decided we had been overcharged by around £4. For the stress of this prolonged discussion we were offered a complimentary drink the next evening. This provoked another bill discussion at the end of the second meal as it was not mentioned to us that the complimentary drink was basically a half of beer/ larger or a small glass of wine. We did eventually settle on paying 50% of our 4 initial drinks and the £4.00 being taken off the bill. It was not much fun at the end of a meal on both nights to have to spend time discussing the price etc of the meals and drinks. Some of the food at both meals was of inferior quality. The portions were huge and the hotel could save a fortune by having sensible portion control. My chicken burger on the second evening was terrible. The chicken had evidently been cooked, then left to go cold and then reheated for the burger. It consisted of 2 huge chicken breast which were tough and inedible. I complained and the chef came out to apologise. He offered me an alternative meal which i declined and then a dessert which was of no value to me as I had not used my "allowance" with the chicken burger. I could not be bothered to argue further. Our room was adequate, the air conditioning very welcome but our shower did not drain the water away so after one of us showered we had to wait for at least 15 mins for the water to drain and then the other person had a shower. We were still paddling in the other persons dirty water. We reported this on both days and for a third time when we left. We were told it had been resolved for the second day which was not the case. I hope that the plumbing issue is resolved for the next person staying in the room called Otford. Finally breakfast is a sad affair. Please can the chef learn how to cook a fried egg? The sausage and bacon were of inferior quality as was the sliced bread used for toast. The fruit juice was horrible and undrinkable. The jam and marmalade is in a press top large bottle which squirts jam all over your front unless you point it away from you. There are only tiny amounts of fresh melon and it could do with a large bowl of cut fresh fruit with no rind on it. Overall I would not recommend this hotel or stay there again.
Nette en ruime kamer Lekker ontbijt Parking Vriendelijk personeel
Stoelen buiten kunnen wel een poetsbeurt gebruiken.
Zimmer waren gut und sauber. Betten bequem.
