Shower in the room had an awkward door. Separate raps for hot and cold made adjustments difficult

Reviewed Aug 22, 2025The lady who helped my husband check in was incredibly rude. We had already paid on booking.com but she said because of her own things on her side and booking.com she wouldn’t receive the money. She insisted we pay an additional R750 because she wouldn’t get her money from booking.com. We had to request her to take my husband in because he had travelled from Johannesburg and it was in the evening.

Reviewed Jul 28, 2024Good breakfast offered and secure parking. Heated blankets were a bonus welcome in the -6° weather.
We didn't receive a warm welcome from the Host/Manager. Very brusque attitude. I don't expect the red carpet but a simple welcome, my name is X, etc. He seemed more put out by our presence than anything else. The linens were not the best. Aircon heaters were not effective. The shower was nothing more than a drip. While we understand there are water restrictions in the area, this should hv been mentioned on the page and if it is, my apologies for missing it.

Reviewed Nov 22, 2023Breakfast was good. I am not a big early morning eater so did not do justice to the meal:(
We stayed for 4 nights, so I believe it is not necessary to wash the bath towels everyday especially in a water restricted area like Ficksberg. We would be more than happy to reuse our towels and save on the washing!
