De tudo , o hotel é um sonho
Nada
first class hotel, wonderful staff, and a very special experience to stay there. the hotel and rooms are really wonderful.
A truly stunning Hötel in one of the most beautiful towns in SW France.
This is a fab hotel right in the centre of St Emilion. The staff are excellent, the room was just right and the terrace, where drinks are served has the most amazing views. Finally both the two Michelin star restaurant and the Bistro are very, very good. We had wonderful meals at both.
This is not a hotel for young children.
From the moment we arrived until the moment we departed, this felt like an absolute privilege. The location, the setting, the restaurants and communal areas were all superb. The staff were sensational and so helpful in every way. Thank you. We hope to return.
This was our second stay here and it never disappoints. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are luxurious and well appointed
Great location and staff were extremely friendly and efficient.
Nothing.
if one has the funds to make a break away even more memorable then staying at Hotel de Pavie is recommended. It is perfect for a short stay and for those who love their food, wine and history it adds to the to making the visit extra special. If if one is thinking of exploring the wine region of Bordeaux then St. Emilion should be included. The hotel oozes quality and service in all aspects and you any you leave with a sense of having made an excellent decision and looking forward to returning.
What a fabulous little hotel. The whole property oozes style and class and truly has that rare home from home feel. The staff were all so welcoming and helpful with the standouts being Barman Thomas and the full of character Kate & Philippe for whom nothing was too much trouble. The only issue for us was the hotel's casual food offering. With undoubtably the finest terrace in Saint Emilion, all set up for dining. The only after breakfast, casual food within the hotel itself was the quite limited and a little random room service menu. It does however have a great Bistro owned by the hotel a few meters away.
Merci, Merci, Merci…..to Emilion for moving to this rock in the 8th century! Hotel Pavie is literally atop the 8th century monolithic ( largest in Europe) sanctuary and does justice to the land. Beautiful property in the shadow of the multi century built bell tower it is majestic and THE location and property if you want luxury in the center of St Emilion. And really valued on a hot day. And if Thomas is working you are assured of a phenomenal cocktail and comfortable chat about all things France ( and a little USA) . He makes you feel at home! Two star Michelin restaurant ( did not eat as it was closed most of our visit) is beautiful but not to be out done by the patio, bar and THE BEST room; Les Lunelles! The only room on the floor, well appointed with a large, stunning view patio overlooking the town. Rise to the chirping of the birds, ringing of the bells, or views of the wine grapes maturing this room is awesome and quiet. Staff is more than present. They are on EVERY DETAIL. Marianne( sp?) at the front desk is incredible, see Thomas above, Kate at breakfast and gentleman waiter in the morning really kick start the day. TOP SHELF STAFF. Bell tower building ( not actually in a tower) is recommended but building next door is not a bad choice and connected by short steps and elevators. Emilion may may not have been canonized as a Saint, but Hotel Pavie is close to a miracle.
Location and services

Beautiful property. Well appointed and very comfortable room. Service was impeccable. Exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend.
Absolutamente tudo, gentileza e eficiência de toda a equipe, quarto maravilhoso, hotel que transmite uma paz inigualável!
The accommodations, food, and customer service were all exceptional. This place FAR exceeded our expectations, even given the cost! We highly recommend and would go back again.
Great Location, Service & Quiet. Appreciate the Staff and Lovely Bistro across the street.....We had a great stay.
Beautiful location, staff was attentive
There was a problem with our reservation being a night short. We had booked the largest suite and were moved for our last night to a normal suite. It was nice, but not what we had booked. Upon checkout it took some discussion to get the bill adjusted to the small suite we had to move to for one night.
Gut
Nichts auszusetzen
Everything here was perfect (of course, it should be for the price)! The staff was exceptional in every way, the breakfast perfect (the best we had during our 3.5 week stay in France). We had a rental car which needed to be parked every day on our return, the hotel staff made it seamless for us. Our room was divine! The location is just absolutely perfect for exploring the village. There are plenty of excellent dining choices beyond the hotel's Michelin rated restaurant. We had to leave very early on our checkout day and staff had our car in the parking area the night before and even offered us breakfast and coffee for the road before we left.
There is nothing we didn't like here. Everything was perfect!
This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in for a long time. The staffare outstanding, kind, considerate, helpful and polite. Service throughout is outstanding . Location is beautiful, food and beverages are to a very high standard. The hotel itself is beautifully furnished. The room and terrace were fantastic . Absolutely perfect in every way.. Can't wait to go back.
Établissement d’excellence avec un personnel et un service fabuleux .

Everything was amazing. The staff incredibly accommodating. The chef is an artist ! We were a group of 9 people and we had a chefs table experience with 11 courses! Sublimed!
I was highly impressed by every aspect of my stay. The initial booking, the contact from Glenn prior to my dinner at La Table de Pavie, Daphne’s attention to every detail and Kate’s early morning energy and smile. On my departure morning at 6:30 am she gave me a take away cup of tea and croissant !!!! Thank you all and I look forward to my next visit.
My wife and I spent 7 days at this hotel last week. It is really hard to describe how nice a hotel that it is. I will give it a try. The reservation process was very easy. Very soon after making the reservation, the hotel reached out to help us plan our program. They were available to provide suggestions and had a very thorough list of options. In addition, as our reservation came closer they made sure we knew how to get to the hotel and park the car. All this and we have not checked in yet. We got to the hotel. We knew it was very central. But we're surprised, it is the center of both the upper town and lower town. Wow. The room we booked in the village house was beautiful and very roomy. Housekeeping was excellent. Somehow they managed to clean the room while at breakfast and turndown service while at dinner. As I stated above, they helped us make our plans before we arrived. However, we chose to only book a couple days. The front desk helped us fill out the rest of the days after we arrived. We basically did one Chateau a day, but we decided to go to Chateau Pavie. They worked hard to find a slot for us. I recommend booking ahead if you want to go. It is worth a visit. Onto breakfast, we paid for the full breakfast option and it was a very good choice. The food was excellent, and we really felt it was an authentic French breakfast. We took our time. The service was excellent. The two main waiters Kate and Phillip were wonderful. We looked forward to seeing them each morning. They got each day started off in a great way each day. We will go back if we are there again. Of course! I recommend them highly if you are considering it.
If you’re looking for an unforgettable stay in Saint-Émilion, Hotel Pavie absolutely exceeds every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless, warm, and incredibly refined. The setting is breathtaking—nestled right in the heart of the village with views that feel straight out of a postcard. What truly sets Hotel Pavie apart is the attention to detail. Every element, from the beautifully designed rooms to the impeccable service, reflects a level of care and sophistication that’s rare to find. The staff went above and beyond at every turn—thoughtful, intuitive, and genuinely passionate about creating a memorable stay. Their partners were equally exceptional, helping curate experiences that made our visit to Saint-Émilion feel exclusive and deeply personal. From world-class wine experiences to perfectly coordinated dining, everything was effortless and elevated. This wasn’t just a hotel stay—it was an experience we’ll never forget. Truly five-star in every sense. We cannot wait to return.
A very special property set in a historic and very well maintained corner of Saint Emilion staffed with dedicated, proactive and friendly professionals focused on making your trip that much more special!
We had the most wonderful stay at this jewel of a hotel this past fall. Very sophisticated hotel yet accessible in all ways. Helpful, kind and professional staff. Gorgeous setting with immaculate and comfortable rooms. Wonderful bar and divine restaurant! We would return in a heartbeat.
A truly wonderful team and a first class hotel. Amazing location, exceptional food and beautiful accommodation. We love staying here. Our dog loves it too!
The staff were friendly and helpful.
Beautiful property in central town, sympathetically extended and full of tasteful touches, overlooking the historic old town. Very professional and warm staff at all levels. Excellent Michelin starred dinner with extensive and fairly priced wine list, particularly those willing to stray into burgundy. Superb sommelier staff, both friendly and impeccably informed.
Among the finest hotels I have ever stayed in. Everything was simply superb. Where do I even begin? The location, in the heart of Saint Emilion, is perfect. A beautiful village that is one of the loveliest spots in all of Bordeaux. The service is top notch. They helped arrange all of our right bank chateau visits, and all were excellent. Great recommendations for restaurants. Kate was the hostess for breakfast, and she may be one of the nicest people I have ever met. Timothy for cocktails was a treat. A truly special hotel. Highly, highly recommend.
A fabulous hotel that delivers world class service and charm. The rooms are exquisite and La Table de Pavie is a gastronomic experience of unparalleled quality.
An awesome stay with fantastic staff and service from everyone , each person was a delight to meet, the whole experience was exceptional
Rien
Our favourite stay of the year without question. The most STUNNING hotel in a jaw dropping location right in the heart of exquisite St-Emilion. We experienced exceptional service from a staff who really care. The 2* restaurant delivered the most delicious/beautiful meals we have ever eaten (and have had the pleasure of 2* many times) and our suite ranked as the most luxurious we have ever stayed in. Bravo team Pavie . . .we are counting down the days to or next stay!
Nothing
Gute Lage, Tolle Einrichtung, tolle Atmosphäre!
Gorgeous property without a spa and the rooms can be a little convoluted to reach (ours required three elevators from reception). It’s hard to leave a terrible review because some people were excellent and some were rude and demeaning. The room had two towels in it total and there wasn’t enough hot water for both me and my husband to take 5-7 minute showers. At 1500/room this makes you feel like you’re in an overpriced tourist hotel riding off the town’s reputation with staff who are « over it » and all too willing to show you in their behavior. The restaurant La Table de Pavie had outstanding cuisine but two of the four servers openly rolled their eyes and mocked customers throughout dinner. Sort of leaves a bad taste in your mouth when you’re spending 1000 EURO on dinner. I wouldn’t come back.
Il à répondu à mes espérances de grandes qualités de tous les services !
After quite a few visits to St Emillion we decided to splash out and treat ourselves and we’re not disappointed In anyway.
Top marks for this amazing place. Difficult to find if driving - and they do have valet parking- so watch the sat nav. The hotel is set in several buildings on the top of a hill. It absolutely defines charm! We took three elevators to gain access to the most perfect room. Sleep quality was ten out of ten. Location for St Emilion is also perfect Breakfast is a joy and the staff enhance your stay for sure. There is no better place to stay and explore this amazing village. Just incredible
We stayed for 2 nights and it could not have been better. The staff was so helpful and provided us with recommendations and reservations. The restaurant was superb and an unbelievable experience. The suite was amazing. Thank you Hotel de Pavie for making our trip to Saint Emelion exceptional.
Hotel is incredible, rooms are spectacular and staff is very helpful. Breakfast is great and the onsite 2 Michelin Star restaurant is definitely worth it. Location is great and walkable to all of St Emilion. We walked to a number of wineries which I noted others drove once you got outside of the old city walls but you really can reach so many incredible wineries by foot. You do need to book most restaurants in advance around town so make sure you work with the hotel to take care of that before you arrive. Doing the private tasting at their Chateau is absolutely worth it and they’ll drive you there in the hotels Bentley. It was a great experience if you are looking for a quiet beautiful stay.
It's a Relais Chateau... No much to say!! Very nice hotel, perfect situated in Saint Emilion village with a great service. Also has 2 options to have dinner... A Bistro very nice with very good food and a "Le Tableau de la Pavie" that is a 2 Michelin Stars that we liked very much. I would repeat in another getaway to Saint Emilion.
A beautiful property in the middle of the village with gracious staff and an elegant restaurant. This exceeded my expectation!
Hôtel de Pavie is the very definition of understated luxury. Perched in the heart of Saint-Émilion, it offers not only breathtaking views of the medieval village but also a deep sense of history woven into every detail. From the moment we stepped inside, the welcome was warm yet impeccably professional – the kind of service that feels both attentive and effortless. Our room combined refined contemporary comfort with historic charm, complete with plush bedding, elegant furnishings, and a serene view over the vineyards. The bathroom was spacious and beautifully appointed, with every amenity thoughtfully provided. Dining at the L’Envers du Decor was an unforgettable highlight – a masterclass in creativity and flavour that celebrated the region’s finest produce. The tranquil garden terrace, the intimate lounges, and the softly lit stone architecture all combined to create a sense of peaceful indulgence. Hôtel de Pavie is not just a place to stay – it’s a place to savour, remember, and long to return to. An unforgettable experience
Our expectations were more than met. This is such a beautiful hotel with very attentive staff. The location is especially lovely. Absolutely delighted with our stay; and feel sure that we will return one day.
Nothing we didn't like.
Loved it. Very luxurious hotel in the center of town nicely integrated into the landscape. The service was simply perfect. They make every guest feel special, always happy and supportive. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, too. A perfect spot to explore the area and town. Highly recommended!
Beautiful location and scenery. Friendly staff.
Nothing that was noted.
Beautiful hotel. Really a piece of art in the middle of Saint Emilion. Only complain, not a place to exercise if needed. Very tiny room with 2 machines. Beside that, device, food, etc fantastic.
Beautiful position & views of St Emilion, Very welcoming & helpful Staff. Our outside patio was good
All good
My husband and I have stayed in a lot of hotels in Europe, and the Hotel Pavie, is in our top 3 hotels. Hotel Pavie was originally recommended by friends, and now we've recommended the Hotel Pavie to many more friends. Our stay was exceptional in every way. Thank you to the staff at Hotel Pavie for making our stay enjoyable and for looking after our every need. Kudos to your team.
a very enjoyable hotel in a magnificent position. Hotel staff are very professional and friendly. The views from the hotel terrace are fantastic.
Wifi was no good
We had a fantastic trip to this amazing property. The hotel and village are beautiful, and the entire staff was amazing. From the moment of arrival the service was exceptional. Our only complaint is that we could not stay longer. This is a true 5 star experience.
This property is exceptional and stunning. Exquisite elegance was in every bit of the room, and the experience is the height of luxury and beauty.
The hotel is right in the center of town. The town is charming with lots of shops and restaurants, mostly revolving around wine. Be sure to climb the bell tower next door -- go to the nearby tourist center for the key -- for incredible views of the town and countryside. The rooms, dining areas, light fixtures and everything in the hotel are spectacular. My only gripe is that we had to take 3 elevators and walk pretty far to reach our room. So make sure not to leave anything behind because you won't feel like going back.
The Hotel de Pavie was the highlight of our stay in Saint Emilion and was our favourite hotel during our time in France. It is the sort of special place that helps make a holiday memorable. The best features were the luxurious rooms and the wonderful, Michelin-starred restaurant. ROOM: Our room was luxurious and spacious, with a beautiful decor. It’s worth noting that some of the rooms are much closer to the reception area and main building so you may want to consider which part of the hotel you’d like to be in. Our room was some distance away and it took 3 different elevators to get to it. However, it was lovely and quiet and we had direct access out to the lower level of the town, near the Monolithic Church. LOCATION: The hotel is located in the upper level of the town, next to the church bell-tower. From here, you have a panoramic view over the medieval town and the surrounding countryside and vineyards. The Tourist Office is almost next door so you can easily book tours of the Monolithic Church or bell-tower before setting off to explore the rest of the town. SERVICE: Staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Initially we were given a room which was quite noisy because it was below one of the dining rooms and tables and chairs were being moved late at night. When we mentioned this, it was quickly and quietly resolved and we were given a new room which we were very happy with. Breakfast was served in the bar area and was delicious. Again, service was attentive. RESTAURANT: The Michelin-starred La Table de Pavie was and it was another memorable part of our holiday. However I’ve written a separate review for the the restaurant.
It is not our first visit to Hotel de Pavie. This time, we stayed two nights and ate at La Table de Pavie (as well as at l'Envers du Decor). I have not enough superlatives to describe the experience. Staying at the hotel and enjoying its facilities and the high level of personnel, transports you to an island of tranquility, indulgence, away from the troubles of reality. Although I knew what to expect, the service exceeded expectations. It is a dream. Chapeau to the Perce family that clearly spared nothing in creating heaven on earth. They are worthy of the evident admiration of their employees and, as of our first visit, our admiration. Looking forward to our next stay.
A true gem in saint Emilion with over the top staff service and amazing food. Perfect room with a very nice balcony.
Nothing
My husband and i spent 2 nights at the Hotel de Pavie. This hotel exceeds expectations. The prime location overlooking the medieval town and the vineyards is perfection. We stayed in the Pavie Room overlooking the clock tower and it was amazing. We loved the service and the delicious breakfast each morning. The concierge organized amazing activities for us to ensure our stay was unforgettable. The only hard part was leaving. We will definitely return. If you are looking for the best place to stay in St. Emilion, this is it!
The service at this hotel was top notch and the space was very luxurious. Every aspect of our stay was well executed from the helpful and professional staff to the turn down service. We had a great wine tasting experience at Chateau de Pavie booked through the hotel that I highly recommend. I will stay here again if I return to Saint Emilion.
Good place, it was very fun time. Good service. And everything good food. It was sunny. Was With a friend and i hope other people see this place. Lovely place to take your family here. It has everything You want from a hotel………………….,,,,,……………
Great place to spend a very quite nights
One of the top three hotel experiences in my 67 years of being alive! Estetique and perfection in every detail, wonderfully friendly and helpful staff (Thomas - you are just one of a kind), a relaxed atmosphere in the bar, og wonderful food and drinks. I will definitely come back with my wife to spend more nights at this “heaven o n earth”!
We had the privilege of staying in a Junior Suite, Syrah, at the Hotel de Pavie for 3 nights and it was by far the nicest, largest, and most elegant hotel room we've ever stayed in. We stopped in St-Emilion because we were en route from Carcassonne to Puy du Fou an hour south of Nantes, and it looked to be the halfway point so we could break up a 7 hour drive. We didn't know much about the city and found the hotel, and the Michelin-starred La Table de Pavie in the hotel, via Google search, so as soon as we saw the reviews, we hurriedly booked the room and changed our plans so we could experience the restaurant, since it's closed on both Sunday and Monday. We were so glad we made the decision! The Syrah room is gorgeous and huge, and since the hotel is built into the side of a hill, it is true that it takes 3 different elevators to get there from the lobby. The first and third elevators had stairs next to them so we really only ever took the second elevator, which didn't have stairs. From the room, we could exit directly into the city via the door next to the fitness room on the ground floor, and we could also reenter from here. Pros: 1. Everything about the room. The most delicious fresh-baked lemon madeleines from the hotel bakery awaited us in the room on arrival. As you can see from the pics, the room is spotlessly clean, and every part of the suite is huge. The shower is a walk-in circular shower. There are a multitude of windows with wooden shutters that the housekeepers opened and closed every day. There is nothing negative that I could possibly say about this suite. 2. Everything about the service. Everyone was friendly and smiling. There was nothing that they wouldn't do without a gracious smile. And interestingly it seems that most of the staff at this hotel, including in the restaurant, were foreign-born. As an example, front desk, sommeliere, and waiter at La Table de Pavie were Dutch, another server was from the Philippines, wait staff in the breakfast room were Irish and Latin American. Of course there were some French staff as well, but when we were there, they were outnumbered by foreign-born staff. We haven't seen this before in a hotel in France. 3. The breakfast. Continental breakfast was plentiful, far too many baked goods for 2 people. Everything fresh-baked on site. They offer to package up leftovers for you to take with you, no problem, which we did when we decided to have a picnic in the room one night. The coffee was delicious, and a carafe and teapot are left on the table so you don't have to keep asking for refills. We didn't opt for eggs/meat because the breads/pastries/viennoiseries were plenty. What makes this a 5 star hotel: Besides the elegance of the lobby and everything in the suite, it was the impeccable and thoughtful service. As an example, after we finished our nightcap at the bar (which is also the breakfast room and right next to the front desk/lobby), I asked for the check. The server, who was also working the front desk since it's staffed 24 hours, told me that there is no need, they would put it on the room tab. I asked if he knew which room we were in and he answered of course, we were in Syrah. Astonishing and unexpected. Another example: we like to sleep in on vacation and showed up for breakfast at 10, a half hour before breakfast service ends, the next morning. This corner table had a fantastic view looking outside at the terrace and countryside. The next 2 mornings, upon arriving for breakfast at 10, we discovered they had reserved the same table for us, and asked if we wanted the usual, continental breakfast with black coffee. That explains why the server was subtly taking notes when we went to breakfast for the first time. Again, unexpected, but this personalized service made a huge impression on us and further elevated the hotel in our minds. There are no cons so I will spread the word about the absolutely amazing Hotel de Pavie while awaiting our return trip to St-Emilion. There simply can't be a better place to stay in the city.
Enhance your stay in French wine country with a trip to Hotel de Pavie in the charming town of St. Emilion, just a short trip from Bordeaux. Years ago, my husband and I discovered this quaint town and have always included the Hotel de Pavie in our travel plans. The hotel offers a luxury stopover complete with excellent cuisine and an always welcoming staff. Our deluxe room came with a view of the beautiful town of St. Emilion, and we always enjoy a great glass of Bordeaux on the rooftop terrace at sunset. The restaurant La Table de Pavie should not be missed!
Our second visit to Hôtel de Pavie in Saint-Émilion has only deepened our appreciation for this remarkable place. Among the many hotels we are fortunate to visit, Hôtel de Pavie stands out as truly exceptional. Every member of the team is driven by a deep passion for impeccable service, and the hotel itself reflects the highest standards in both design and operation. The attention to detail is unparalleled, setting a level of excellence that few hotels in the world can match. Be warned: once you experience this level of care, other hotels may struggle to compare.
The room view should have been much better for that price. We were looking at a wall.
We loved the wine tour and being in the heart of Saint Emillion. Staff was helpful and friendly
Price was high for the small room. We really enjoyed the suites on the last day we stayed there.
Service is throughout is gracious, prompt, and highly professional. Our suite was extremely spacious, modern, and comfortable, and includes a large walk in closet/dressing room, large bath, dining area, living room, and sitting areas as well as coffee maker etc. The restaurant is exceptional and worth the cost. The hotel is located within a walkable small village with many wine shops, cafes, and other restaurants. The hotel also arranged for touring of wine estates and a wine class. We were driven in the hotel Bentley. Overall a luxuriously pleasant experience!
We had the most amazing stay at Hotel de Pave. The location is beyond perfect, the hotel, grounds and staff were a 10 out of 10. This is the best hotel in town and all of the amenities just make it that much more perfect.
Every detail was thought of for style and comfort. Views of the town and vineyards were spectacular, including the outdoor bar/lounge area - a great way to relax after a day of tourism with a glass of wine. The breakfasts were phenomenal serving all fresh and local ingredients and foods and the best pastries!! The staff were friendly, knowledgable and professional. The hotel was luxurious and tasteful without being overstated. We had a perfect stay!
Room was clean and service was excellent. Staff is friendly and attend to all your needs. Excellent Property.
An AMAZING beautiful hotel conveniently located in prime area. The entire staff was POSITIVELY the best!!! I can not say enough good things about the entire staff. From the moment we stepped in to the lobby we were catered to as if we were Royalty. They were so accommodating and helpful. I have stayed all over the World and spend at least 100 nights a year at hotels and the Hotel Pavie staff is at the very top and of my list!! The Restaurant is fabulous and if you can get a reservation it is a must do. I can not wait to return.
This is a wonderful accommodation. The rooms are beautiful, the staff is excellent. They helped me with everything and organised a great excursion for our whole group in the area. It was a pleasure to stay here and I would love to return!
Everything was good here and I cannot mention anything negative.
The staff at Hotel Pavie is phenomenal. They are so accommodating and help with reservations and suggestions around town. No detail is overlooked on the property. Amazing stay!
