Cabañas Del Martial

A great place to stay in Ushuaia. The cabin is private, comfortable, and in a remarkable setting. The view of the bay is spectacular, as is the town. Monica and Salvador greeted us warmly and made our stay easy. We want to return, and would definitely stay here again. Very highly recommended.

Wonderful views. Lovely cabins. The host Salvador was great. A basic daily breakfast is included which is good. It is about 5-10 minutes from the downtown which i think is a plus. Keep in mind that these are cabins at the end of the world. Despite that, the accommodation was ery good.

La atención de Salvador y Mónica es fantástica. Las cabañas tienen la ubicación perfecta, en el medio del cerro, camino a un glaciar, pero a 3 minutos del centro. Además son muy cómodas y amplias, con asador ideal para corderito y truchas recién pescadas

Beautiful place overlooking Beagle Sound. Salvador was a great host. He hand delivered breakfast every morning. Enjoyed grilling on the large deck. Great restaurant within walking distance. Much better to stay here rather than in the town. Lovely place with a great host.

A nossa experiência em Ushuaia teria sido completamente diferente sem as suas histórias, indicações e receptividade. Ficamos encantados e já saímos com vontade de retornar um dia. Quanto às acomodações, são muito confortáveis, lindamente decoradas, a limpeza é impecável, tudo funciona muito bem e a vista é de tirar o fôlego. Apesar de não estar no centro, o acesso é fácil por taxi ou remis. Além disso, a região é charmosíssima (na minha opinião, mais que o centro), com boas opções de restaurantes e atividades (centro de ski, bar, café, lojas de souvenir) a uma caminhada de distância. Views were amazing. Hosts super nice and helpful. Cabins exceeded expectations.

We had a wonderful time in Ushuaia, thanks to our lovely hostess Monica. The cabins are situated up a hill with a view of the Beagle channel. This allows for gorgeous sunrises, some bird-watching, and a feeling of tranquility and magic. The cabins are reasonably sized for a family of 4 and the beds and linens are comfortable. Monica went out of her way to accommodate our allergies by providing gluten-free croissants and rolls. We highly recommend Cabanas Del Martial for your stay in Ushuaia.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabins. They were very comfortable, clean and warm. Would highly recommend staying here. Wonderful views and easy access to glaciar martial. Our hosts made the trip much better and provided great advice on the best tours to take.

What can we say about Monica and Salvador that has not already been said. They are wonderful hosts. From arrival to departure they were there to help. The room was spotless clean and very comfortable with amazing views. We stayed 2 nights before a cruise and would happily have stayed longer. The accommodation is out of town in quiet location but can be easily reached by taxi. Otis also near a lovely walk to the glacier.

The stay was excellent. The cottage was good and the views of the Beagle Channel were amazing. Salvador was an awesome host and helped us with excursions and airport pickup-drop. The breakfast was amazing as well.

Herrliche Lage mit Blick auf den Beagle Kanal, sehr herzlicher Empfang durch den Gastgeber. Viele Tipps zur Umgebung und Restaurants (und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht!) Wirklich gemütliche Cabanas, gut ausgestattet und blitzsauber. Jeden Morgen gab es einen Frühstückskorb mit Backwaren zur gewünschten Uhrzeit ans Cottage geliefert (nichts Spektakuläres, aber nette Geste - haben uns alles weitere im Supermarkt im Ort besorgt) Kaffee, Orangensaft, Milch war mehr als ausreichend vorhanden. Diese Unterkunft ist ein echter Tipp für Urlauber, die mehr als nur eine Nacht in Ushuaia verbringen möchten. Die Fahrt von ca. 10 Minuten in den Ort nimmt man gerne in Kauf, zumal die Stadt selbst nicht besonders sehenswert ist. Haben uns im Cabanas del Martial absolut wohl gefühlt.

We just couldn't fault anything here. The welcome, friendliness and helpfulness from Monica and Salvador was great, nothing was too much trouble for them. Made some calls for us to help find an Antarctic cruise. The place is immaculate, breakfast good, nice fresh medialunas, toast, jam, juice and hot drinks in abundance. Whilst the location is far from town, the view and the serenity makes it well worth it. The walk into town easily takes 40 mins, more to get to the centre but you can follow the yellow ruta through the forest and it's a nice walk. Unless you love walking maybe better to get a taxi back, now costing around ars 250. Not too far from the glacier route either and lots of other hiking trails around so a perfect position for any walkers. There is a lovely restaurant next door, Chez Manu, and a tea shop on the way to the glacier. All in all probably the best place to stay if you want to be out of town. We would return here anytime, loved our stay and the best place we've stayed during 3 weeks in Argentina. Thank you Monica and Salvador for your wonderful hospitality

My stay was amazing—the owners have wonderful hospitality and provided helpful information regarding restaurants and tour companies that can provide various types of adventures. I highly recommend staying for a beautiful view and wonderful hosts.

Salvatore and Monica were so welcoming. They are the kind of people that are so rare and we couldn't have been more pleased to have been able to be in such a beautiful place.

Monica and Salvador are by far the best innkeepers we have ever come across. We were treated like family. The hotel is warm and inviting. The views are spectacular and the location ideal to the best restaurant in town Chez Mamu, the Martial Glacier and Casa de Te for lunch. They arranged taxi and tours for us and shar f valuable insights about the region. Another fantastic restaurant recommendation was El bodegón fueguino in town. We will definitely come back. I loved this place :) the staff was welcoming and helped me get over a cold by offering tea! Please stay here and take a cab into Ushuaia - much more relaxing.

We have stayed in many places during our travels for over 30 years, and have been fortunate with mostly good experiences, but we have never experienced the level of warm hospitality and support that Monica and Salvador offer, it seems, to all of their guests. Not only were they helpful in the run up to our visit, with information about local conditions, taxis, etc., and unfailingly prompt and polite, but their welcome on arrival, the snug comfort and hospitality of their cabanas, and the intelligence of their advice and support were remarkable. But, it gets even better. We needed to work in a trip to Puerto Williams on the Chilean side of the Beagle Channel at the last minute, and they helped with logistics and phone calls quickly and effectively. Two days later, after we'd checked out and moved on down the Channel to another site, our plans changed again and we needed to get back to Ushuaia a day early. We got in touch with them and though they themselves were full, they checked around for us and found a room at a great hotel when Ushuaia was technically "full," and negotiated a special rate for us at that hotel, to boot. This is all after we were technically not even their guests, and they would have been fully justified to shift their concern to current guests! From the web reviews we expected to find friendliness and good cabins, but we found much more: warm, creative people with a true gift of hospitality.

Salvador and Monica are truly charming and solicitous hosts. They treat you like family and share their knowledge of the area and its attractions cheerfully. The rooms are impeccably clean. In Ushuaia you can have an expensive resort experience, a hotel-in-the-city experience, or the experience of feeling you are at home in a beautiful setting. We are glad we chose the latter. We rented a car and visited various parts of the island. It was always great to "go home" in the evening to Cabañas del Martial. Good views and pleasant walks are just outside the door. All activities available in the city are just a short drive or taxi cab away.

We were warmly welcomed by Salvador and Monica, the owners. We immediately felt like members of their family. They helped us with everything we needed, from booking a taxi to securing tours, recommending best restaurants etc. Their place allowed us to feel like at home, with one of the best view in Ushuaia. Highlight of trip, amazing stay with Monica and Salvador. Hospitality excellent and very kind and caring people, felt very at home despite not speaking Spanish. Translation app worked well.

Comfortable B&B in the hills above Ushuaia. The couple who own it were very welcoming and friendly. Room was very clean, private bathroom was nice. An amazing view of the town below with the mountains and channel in the background.

We had three nights here. The cabana was really cozy and had everything we needed including the most amazing view across the Beagle Channel. Salvador and Monica are lovely hosts who will help with anything you need. The cabanas are several kms out of town up the hill leading to the Martial Glacier. There is a pathway down that starts at the exit to the property and is mostly marked by yellow markers. The walk down is easy but the walk back up can be a bit tiring after a days hiking but there are plenty of taxis around if you can't face it!

The hosts were very kind and helpful. We had a lovely stay , very relaxing, amazing views across the Beagle Channel. Food was fresh. Plenty of toiletries in bathroom. Cleaned daily. High recommend.

The couple running the establishment are very welcoming, the room comfortable and clean. An adorable house decorated with the warmth of home. There are lots of trails right outside the cottages great for hiking. From the center of town it's about a 10 minute drive up the mountain. The views are beautiful. A taxi charges about 120 pesos each way. Although the first day I was taken down to the center of town by the owner of Las Cabanas. I had only 2 nights which is not enough time, I would go back and stay longer. I highly recommend Las Cabanas if you want to be closer to nature.

Salvador and Monica are the kindest and most generous hosts who go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. They helped us make reservations with restaurants and tour companies so we got to do everything we wanted to do, and we very much enjoyed our stay with them in Ushuaia. Our room and bathroom were both large and clean, our bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. They are based up on the hill towards the Cerro Martial and outside you have lovely views of the Beagle Channel. We would highly recommend the Cabañas del Martial and wouldn't hesitate to return. Salvador and Monica keeps their properties in outstanding condition. We ate in both nights. The rooms were amongst the cleanest we have stayed in.

The two owners were so nice. They made our stay perfect and helped out with all needs that arose.

The best choice up near the glacier. The owners arranged the "walk with the penguins" for us before we arrived and this walk was a highlight of our 3 weeks in Argentina. The husband and wife owners are wonderful caring people- the type of people that you might think still don't exist in today's world. We arrived with 2 weeks of dirty laundry -the owner/wife insisted and drove us to a laundry that was closed because of a national holiday- she told us "tomorrow I'll take it back again for you while you are out on tour and you can pick it up at the laundry later yourself"- when we walked in from our tour the laundry was on the bed- BACK - clean from the laundry- she had taken it and picked it up. Our last night there the husband said I will order you a taxi for your 7a.m. airport pick up- he did not order the taxi- he was standing there at 7a.m. "all smiles" ready to take us in his personal truck. The house and cabins are Cozy with a great view and the price is right. Walking distance to Chez Manu restaurant for a meal. The owners had us a basket of croissants, coffee and juice waiting each morning before we headed out to explore. Would stay here again 4sure!!!

The owner of the establishment, Salvador, takes hospitality and customer service very seriously. He was awaiting my arrival and made sure I had everything I needed. The room was super clean and comfortable. Breakfast was prepared fresh with pastries he buys daily. The cabanas are not in Ushuaia proper, but on the mountain, where you can easily walk to and hike Glacier Martial. There is also a first-class restaurant less than 100 yards away. If you want to stay in the thick of things and have access to bars, etc., this is not the place for you. If you want a quiet, clean accommodation where you are treated with care, you will love this place. I cannot say enough good things about Salvador and his establishment. Truly a diamond in the rough. Highly recommended if you are visiting Ushuaia.

Hosts are very helpful and accommodating. Despite language barrier we were able to communicate with hosts as they were very patient... So a good chance to practice your Spanish! Rooms very warm and comfortable. Location is 50 min walk or 100 pesos. Quite nice views but you just need to make sure you buy provisions when going to town. Breakfast is best we had during 3wks travel in Argentina.

The hotel (actually a "suite" or an "apartament") has a wonderful view of the city Ushuaia and the surrounding mountains. Staff is extremly helpful. Service is changing a towells every day. Clean, Best of the best !

We prefer local experience to modern sophistication and this place delivers in spades. There was no doubt we were in the jungle, but comfortable. And while we may have gotten wet from the rain getting to the restaurant or to catch a cab, traversing the boardwalk over the untouched land was well worth the sacrifice. Being hosted by native people and learning their culture and obtaining a souvenir from a neighbor was priceless. Everything advertised and reviewed and more
