Haiye Guest House

Extremely polite and helpful staff. Close to everything.

Kenting is still off the beaten track for non-Taiwan visitors, although it's an absolutely spectacular place. The hotels there are not always up to international standards and their management not always familiar with expectations of foreign visitors. That said, this hotel did its absolute best to make our experience highly enjoyable. They didn't have an elevator but the manager instead took all our luggages upstairs and brought them down when we checked out. They were unfailing polite. The rooms were not particularly big, but they had every single amenity. Mostly, the service was so very courteous. The ocean was only 3-blocks from the hotel and we (6 adults) all enjoyed splashing in the Pacific in March. The night market is only 1-block away and we enjoyed walking, looking, eating, etc. A Chinese breakfast was offered and it was better than usual, although westerners may not be familiar with Chinese breakfast fare. But why did you come to Taiwan if you don't want to try the food?

food, room and staff are all good☺️

there is a little bit problem about personal refrigerator it doesn’t work.

We loved the location!! It’s right in the middle of the night market but in an alley so you got some privacy and convenience from it. The room is clean which is really what we cared the most about. It was a great stay. Would recommend.

Great location and great service. Very clean and comfortable accommodations. The complimentary breakfast here was amazing.

It was a nice and quaint hotel. Very convenient with it's own garage.

Near Kenting street but will not be noisy, have bus station near the hotel, easy to go to other places I am living in a double room, room is big and clean，my living room has a small terrace, it's a very comfortable living environment The owner is very nice and helpful, is a very great living experience!

Location was awesome! In the mids of kenting nightmarket street but not noisy at night at all! There is 7/11 nearby and many eateries. However, hotel condition is slightly old (e.g bedsheets were washed out that it formed cotton balls, floors were quite dusty, air condition was not cold enough and we were also told not to set the temp below 23 degrees) and we were told not to throw toilet papers in the toilet bowl for flushing(?). But host was friendly and helpful, and if u don’t mind a simple (I mean it) breakfast u can try the hotel’s breakfast (but only from 8am-9am) otherwise, there are many options off the streets where the hotel is :)

We booked a room with 3 double beds. Perfect location for night market and beach. Hosts are friendly and helpful.

Really nice boutique style guest house. Close to all nearby restaurants and shops. Staff are very helpful.

very friendly staff and owners, great location right off of Kenting street but quiet...really loved the little balcony. ..close to two beaches

Nicely located & room is spacious. Hotel staffs is friendly.

The owner was friendly, helpful and welcoming. We were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and comfort that the hotel provided and we truly enjoyed our stay there. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for space, comfort, cleanliness and location.

Booked a cab thru guest house at NT1800 from zuoying to guest house. 3 storey building w no lift. Provided simple but nice breakfast. Night market is only 1 - 2 min walk away. Didn't see the owner most of the time(actually I only saw him twice during 3d2n stay). The reception is always empty, need to call the phone at the counter if you need help. a lady (don't sound like local) will appear to assist you. They helped us booked a car w driver for a day tour (NT3000 for 8hrs). The room smaller than what you see in photo. My room had a nice ceiling. There is a water cooler at the corridor to refill water. The lady reminded us not to flash toilet papers down, just throw into a bin (lucky the toilet don't smell bad).

Facade different in Google street view. I couldn't find matching facade on street view but went with others description of distance to 7-11. Was coming by Kenting express bus from Kaohsiung, Zouying HSR station. AS we passed by 7-11 on the East side of street there it was Haiye Guesthouse. Bus was stopping for others to get off and I hopped off too. Breakfast was amazing. I have 3 more days here. YIPPY!

we stayed 3 nigts in a family room. it was large: 2 double beds, a "living room" corner and 2 small balconies. it is a quest house, so the bathroom was very basic and just 2 bath towels, no hand towels. breakfast was very tasty, even we didn`t know what we were eating. the fact that the owner does not speak any english is a bit annoying. i dont allways trust the google translator. but thas my problem! still we manged to rent a scooter fom him (300twd/24h) and use the guest houses waching macine. the palce is easy to find, if you come by bus from kaohsiung, its the second stop in kenting, soon after the traffic lights. turn back to the direction where you came from, walk about 10m. and the alley is to your right and you allready see the sign. the thing we didnt like was the noise from the main street. we woke up every morning round 7 because of the traffic. not nice when beeing on a holiday.

The place is hidden from the main road but do look out for its signboard. It's a small alley in (the alley is big enough to fit in our rented Chrysler Town & country). Beach is within waking distance but if you want beach fun, a longer walk is required. The night market is just right at the main road. So we enjoyed local delicacies for both night when we were there. For breakfast, it local style porridge with 5-6 varieties of veg, egg and etc. Nice and simple. The owner prepared it themselves. If you want more local variety, you would just walk out into the main road as well. We book a 6 bedded room and the room is still very spacious for us. The owner were really friendly as they even borrowed us the scooters.

I love this place. The location is behind the main road, but it's really a quite place. it takes 10 minutes walk to the nearest beach. But while walking, i was able to do window shopping in stores nearby. So, it was okay for me. The breakfast, though its a very simple Taiwanese breakfast, but it was good. The owner cooked it by himself and he's a good chef. The espresso machine is the best. Good coffee from fine beans. It's available for free for 24 hours. The owner is the one who does everything, from reception desk, prepare the food, buy groceries, entertain the guests and designed the room. He is really a very nice guy with high taste. Though, he cant speak english, but he tries his best to understand our requests by using google translate. I was able to talk to him about many things, although my chinese is limited. I definitely will come back here again. The room is comfy, clean and smell good. Direction: The guest house is located on the left side of the main road (from Taipei). Drop off in the next bus station after McDonald. The guest house is located in a small alley, but we can see the sign from the main road.
