Location . Easy access from the motorway. Nice restaurant food .
The amount of money we paid to stay for small room with limit view. Steep walk up from the car park.
The view is lovely and the bedroom beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Parking is excellent.
Dinner options are little more than pub grub and the dining room is quite dreary. Arrangements for dinner were a bit shambolic. it was a bit chilly in the room with no heating available
Food Tea & breakfast spot on.
Water pressure wasn't great. The longest shower ever trying to wash the body wash off.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great.
Room was very warm but fan provided on request .
We had a lovely sea view from our bedroom window. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable.
I had asked for twin beds in advance but when we arrived the bed was made up as a double. The staff managed to remake the beds but it would have been good if my request had been responded to in the first place. The hotel seemed empty when I arrived, and I had difficulty finding a member of staff to book me in. We ate in the brasserie both nights and breakfast was included in the room charge. The food was all right but nothing special.
Very attentive staff and very helpful with storing bikes and luggage. Superb location and lovely views from the bar and restaurant.
Nothing
Friendly staff. Good food. Nice view over sea.
Room was a bit disappointing when compared to photos of other rooms on line but then we only paid for a standard room.
Friendly staff / adequate accommodation for price charged / good food / excellent views from dining areas
for a 'dog friendly' hotel we were a little surprised that there were no 'dog poo' bins provided in the grounds / visited Ladye Bay beach but tide was fully in so can't pass comment re latter part of questionnaire
A beautiful Victorian hotel on a sea cliff. We had a nice, clean room with a delightful sea view and exceptional bed - really comfy. The breakfast, although buffet-style, was excellent, with giant-sized sausages and excellent hash brown being highlights. Fragments of original decor throughout the venue are really delightful, complete with a sea-facing balcony. Kind staff. Excellent location, a few minutes' walk from the heart of Clevedon with its magnificent pier.
Nothing really - everything was excellent. The only missing point - we didn't find sea-facing path toward the town.
Excellent hotel, quiet relaxing room with a beautiful sea view. Tea and coffee facilities, tv and bathroom. Easy access to the coastal path to then walk towards the promenade. Lovely town to visit for the sea air, nice architectural features including the pier and some lovely Scots pine trees.
Bedroom door a little tight to close quietly.
No Internet 1st night meant no TV and cash only bar.
Loved how we checked in with our dog and they gave us a goodie box for him which had some bags , a toy and some treats ! Fantastic !
Nothing !
Great view across the Bristol Channel from our room. Room very clean. Breakfast tasty.
Decor in room and throughout hotel a little dated.
food in restaurant was very poor. Breakfast was good
Location was nice, plenty of parking. Bar staff / waiters were friendly.
Receptionist in the daytime was unfriendly. The lady and gentleman that turned up in the afternoon/ evening were good. The hotel is very dated. The bathrooms in rooms are poor quality and no thermostatic bath mixer or shower. The floors creek with every movement. Some serious upgrades required throughout the building.
Bridget on reception was very helpful
My room was small and a bit of a strange smell
Fantastic view of the sea . Lovely big room ,nicely decorated. Very friendly reception staff .nice walk down to the sea to a great pub and then a nice meal at the tapas bar . Lovely big car park . No hidden extras and a really good breakfast.
We can see it’s a very old building and there were a few places that looked a bit tired - but overall it exceeded our expectations.
Great location with lovely views. Staff courteous.Very large and comfortable bed. Pet friendly.
A little bit dated however all room and general areas were clean and tidy.
Wonderful location on the edge of the sea.

Lovely clean room
The breakfast was poor
All good , food facilities and comfort . Staff excellent
Nothing could be charged to room . Everything had to be paid immediately . This includes drinks food etc. Most annoying whdn I didn’t have cash and had tu use my card 5 times during stay if one night . Must be Latona Leisure Policy 😡
The views
Lovely staff. Super comfy bed & very clean
Nil
Good view and location
Needs updating and better cleanliness
The staff did their utmost to reserve us a table for dinner. We have not stayed in a hotel for many years, so all in all the experience with the stay, plus booking on line was a whole new experience for us. Not sure if it will be repeated at any hotel in the future. Technology passes us oldies by.😉
The fact that there was only one disabled parking space. A few people had trouble walking up the bank to reception1
Jättefin utsikt. Personalen försökte få ett tyst rum åt oss och bokade längst bort i korridoren då det var ett bröllop den kvällen.
Frukosten
This was, by far, the best Best Western we all had ever stayed at. Coming from the US, Best Westerns are usually run-down, cheap and definitely not our first, or fifth, choice. But this location with its old English charm, extremely friendly staff that were so accommodating to our large group (11 in total), was perfect. The food was great, the views were stellar and we were only a 10 to 15 minute walk into town.
Not necessarily a complaint but the hotel is older so you just have to expect that. All fascilities worked as expected and even though the carpet may be warn and has seen some things over the years, it is still incredibly charming.
Everyone went out of their way to ensure everything was right for us. The views were great from the windows and the rooms were so big.

Good location.
The window curtains in the room did not meet in the middle!
Lovely location, large room, pleasant staff.
Horrible smell in bathroom gor all of our stay. Everywhere was very clean but smelly. Also lacking a small fridge in room. Not enough info on area, buses etc and info if needing doctor at any time. Not told whether we could use lounge area off reception Food in restaurant poor, overcooked. Car charging was very difficult to find on carpark as bushes overgrown .
L'emplacement, le salon, l'accueil du personnel
bed was very comfy and clean room nice and quiet.
unfortunately our shower was broke and we couldn't shower. and small detail but tv remote didnt work probably just needed new battery's.
Beautiful location lovely building
Why can’t Great Western spend some money on quality decorators rather than half a job joes.
Beautiful location excellent customer service great breakfast and dinner options
Location was excellent and dog friendly hotel
Wish we could have spent more time there but we were limited on our stay
Wonderful view over Bristol Channel from our room, the bar and restaurant. Staff exceptional, friendly and helpful. Food at dinner and breakfast very good and not too expensive. Easy walk to clevedon shops next morning. Very handy for marine and for national trust properties at clevedon court and tyntesfield. Comfortable large bed.
Nothing to complain about. The decor might seem a bit dated to some, but this isn’t a new build modern hotel, which suits us fine, we prefer hotel with history and character
Nice traditional Hotel. With a view of Bristol channel and Wales on the other side. Historic Cleveden pier a short walk away. Room was large and comfortable.
Location
First room toilet handle not secure so did not flush. Carpet had stains. Asked to be moved and receptionist was brilliant and moved us to room next door. Much better but stains on carpet too.
Super Lage, typisch englischer Stil!
Möbiliar schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen
its our wedding venue for 2028
The bathroom was on a sloped floor, the step up into the shower was hard for me as I have problem knees. I understand it's an older property but a little bit of money spent on leveling the bathroom floor would work better. Hotel provided a fan which was necessary given the summer weather and very welcome. Tea and Coffee facilities were great. Bed comfy.
Bathroom slopes and massive step into shower.
Location, stunning views.
Nothing
Location is brilliant
A little niggle bath mats in the bath when showering, got a bit slippery
Friendly welcome, room was clean and comfy and breakfast was lovely
There was a wedding in the hotel, with a lot of noisy guests,( not the hotels fault) noise carried on when they retired to their rooms which was a little annoying
The staff were lovely and friendly. The continental breakfast looked pretty good.
The shower had ridiculously bad water pressure and was at best only tepid on the warmest setting. The hot breakfast buffet looked too uninviting! Overcooked sausages, rock hard eggs and flabby bacon were on offer. We ended up going to 5 on the beach for morning coffee instead.
Location...views
Very tired inside...I didnt even have a headboard.
Location
Very noisy bedroom from 7am. Very little outside space. Unwelcoming lounge, doors shut, lights out, dining room chairs stacked up. Understaffed in dining room.
Good stay,, helpful staff, good breakfast, catered for dietary preferences, comfortable beds
Nothing, lovely place, good location
View is fantastic!
More varied menu would have been appreciated.
lovely views, excellent customer service.
room a bit too warm for me and shower not the best
The view is to die for! The breakfast was great
The hotel is outdated and needs some investment. The rooms are tired.
Asked and paid for Prosecco in our room on check in for our anniversary but it did not arrive. We were later, 9, for breakfast and som of the items, inc tomatos, had run out. We were upgraded for our anniversary but had already paid for an estuary view. The room we were given only had a view of the flat roof from the level below.
Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location. Food was good 👍
Could do with a bit of TLC in places, though work was clearly being done during our stay
Great location
The hotel internally looked very tired
location belting room with a Seaview comfy bed and decent shower smiley staff and decent bar secure parking decent breaky for a buffet style..
Not a fan of buffet breakfast, however this one was decent and freshly stocked up
The location
The room The breakfast Waiting at the bar for far to long
Fairly good location to restaurants and pier
It seems a bit dated
the room was lovely and had everything you needed. The sea view was amazing and we had a lovely breakfast .The breakfast lady was so helpful and brought us coffee etc .Reception staff were excellent and really helpful . The dogs were well catered for and loved their snacks etc.
the only point is we had an electric car that needed charging and difficult as cars-petrol parked in electric points and not clearly marked . Also not quick charging so need time -not possible if blocked . Thank you
Brilliant value for money, pleasant staff, beautiful location. Big spacious carpark (which was free) and a tasty breakfast.
A little bit tired in places but for the money we paid it was brilliant
The staff were very friendly
Bed was uncomfortable, shower was awful
The hotel was clean and comfortable just a little dated. The room was spacious and we had all amenities etc.The staff were friendly and we had no problems.
Great location, lovely room, friendly staff, dog friendly
Liked everything
I loved it was on the Costal path over looking the sea
I would of liked a sea view room
It has a certain ‘old world charm’ which is what I liked. Good location and clean and comfortable.
The bed was made up of 2 single mattresses.
Location perfect for walking into town.
Outside facilities pretty poor. Bed too small. Dirty carpets.
The hotel and staff were 5 star breakfast excellent only thing I would comment on was it was in a very hilly area
Nothing at all
Quiet and clean. The views over the river are great. Fully recommend the hotel
Our room was spacious and comfortable.
The showerhead was a fixed one, so we couldn't lower it, or avoid getting wet hair. That was the only thing really.
Location excellent for a stopover on a long journey from West Country. Access from Motorway very easy. Quiet hotel with lovely location and sea views.
Steps to bathroom from within our room. Room could be overlooked from garden.
Felt very comfortable.
Suited my needs
The location was great as was the view. The breakfast, although a little cold was good & the staff were friendly.
The room was way too hot ( top floor on a very hot day. There was a small desk fan but not enough. The room was drab, dusty and really needed a makeover. The bathroom was ok.
The property was clean and the bed was really comfortable.
On one of the days, there was no running water, so we had to use our own bottled water to have a shower. We were also asked to move to a different room halfway through our stay, which was a little frustrating and disrupted our holiday.
Location
Very shabby...badly needs upgrading.... mostly in the bedrooms.
Breakfast fair, location excellent-we had a room facing the Bristol channel.
Few vegan choices
This was our second stay this year and there was still a lot to love The views are absolutely incredible. Our room was huge with a magnificent view. Nicely decorated with a huge bed and great bed linen. Dog friendly and a touch of faded grandeur about the place. Quite good value for a late booking. A nice sunny garden with sunset views for an aperitif was a bonus.
We were so disappointed with the food this time around. It has definitely gone downhill since March. The menu in the Terrace Bar was very uninspiring and we struggled for anything remotely healthy. When it came, it was at best a 6/10 ( and that it being generous). The chicken parmigiana was sooo salty and had an odd taste a little like mould. The scampi was overcooked and the chips hard. Breakfast was OK but not brilliant. Standard buffet style breakfast (though the crumpets were an inspired option). We really wanted to love this as much as we did last time but were left very disappointed. We might return but would think twice about eating unless there is investment in the catering.
nice location
resturant not open
Lovely location
We had a lovely big family room on the top floor
The creaky floors and poor soundproofing
We love the location and have stayed here many times
Evening meal - over-priced, limited choice and prepared in an amateur way We didn’t ask for special facilities, as we took the only sea-view room with that was available, but the bath/shower was very difficult for me to climb into and impossible for my disabled husband.
Good location for a function locally
Room hot no a/c
Beautiful location
Room a bit small, getting out of shower was tricky as you bumped into to wall.
Check in was quick and easy, staff very friendly and helpful.
the room was very hot and it was very difficult to sleep, even with the fan provided on all night. The room and en suite felt a bit jaded and could do with an upgrade. Cleanliness was acceptable, although the door to the room was dirty with marks and scuffs. There was also a long, dark hair on the duvet cover.
The cost, was pretty basic facilities for the cost.
Beautiful hotel with lovely atmosphere and gorgeous setting
Area location was good
Dated
Great location in beautiful historic building.
Rooms old and dated. Facilities in room very basic.
It was clean , staff are friendly and helpful. Food was good in both the bar and breakfast areas Fabulous view from bedroom and from the lawn at the side of the hotel, the bar and many other areas
Our room was tiny and two people could not be in bathroom at same time. The toilet is facing into walk in shower not much room to swing legs round could be a problem for many people. We managed with difficulty. However the bed was comfortable and the view from window fabulous
Breakfast was great, only improvement could be real coffee. View from room stunning. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Next time as someone who is 6ft5in would go for a room with a bigger bed. Standard double not big enough but not your fault.
Coffee at breakfast was the only thing although coffee in the Terrace was proper.
Receptionist was rather terse when I had a concern about the suitability of our room, but she informed the manager who came immediately and arranged a different room for us. He was excellent. Our stay was perfect, room clean and comfortable.
Location and the staff were great ever so friendly and helpful. Lovely hotel room was good.
Only thing I have the room was a bit dated for my taste but had everything we needed.
Location and view lovely from our rooms as we paid extra.
My room was underneath the breakfast/dinning room and extremely noisy from 6.45 am with chairs being scraped across the floor and people walking back and forth. Unbearable!!
Nice location with sea view and sunsets.
Very dated furniture and fittings.
Unsure about what to do breakfast, had to keep asking.
Hôtel avec un charme fou. La vue est incroyable. Très jolie chambre. Personnel très agréable. Très bon petit déjeuner
Spacious and tasteful double room with lovely views over the water. Good parking. A warm welcome at reception and a charming old building in an admirable location. Pleasant grounds. Very good value for money overall.
Hot and stuffy room during the warm weather, no air conditioning but no fan provided. Had to ask for one. Worryingly creaky floorboards. Saggy mattress. One rude member of staff.
Staff were friendly.
Stayed on room 415 and looked like the bathroom was recently refitted however the shower trickled so was pretty much impossible to get a decent shower, so didn't even attempt to wash my hair. Did tell staff but was told maintenance can't do anything about it and given 2 drinks vouchers. Need a microscope to see what drinks were covered. The room itself was ok but could do with a tweak. Wallmounted TV not central to bed position. No iron and board in the room. Could do with USB ports in the room so that phones etc could be plugged in. Garden outside space not lit up on a night, even though there is seating.
Great location
Decor felt very tired especially in the room. The top opening window was really grimy inside.
Lovely setting. The room had a great view. Comfy beds.
Nothing to hang hand towels on in bathroom near the sink. Seems silly to have to drip water on floor to get to the towel rail.
