Jeju Hanok Hotel Hallagung

We stayed in one of the self-contained units by the pond. We stayed during the late summer and experienced no mosquitos unlike other reviews. We could tell that the hotel had installed anti-mosquito measures including bug zappers. The staff were very friendly. We borrowed hanbok at the reception and took our own photos. The location is great and convenient to access Seogwipo and walking routes along the south coast. The convenience store on-site was a good price and contained a variety of items. Staff members were so friendly and when we had a requirement (for example to order food delivery in Korean) then the staff would help us out because our Korean was not very good. Thank you!

Gorgeous property and room. The front desk staff were very kind and helped us order takeout twice. The only limitation is that it’s about a thirty minute walk minimum to the nearest restaurant area, which is only a minor inconvenience. We loved our stay!

We had a great experience at this modernised hanok. The toilet is quite small but not a problem. The rooms are very nice and spacious.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful traditional hotel! The team was very accommodating and helpful as well!

Beautiful Hanok style place with lots of greens, flowers, and a good view of the sea.

Traditional building, opening the blinds overlooking the pond first thing in the morning. Quiet. Great location along the south coast.

It was so nice to get a traditional Hanok for the three nights we stayed at the place. It was also very convenient to walk to the waterfalls and the street market. The staff was super nice and helpful.

Tässä majapaikassa pääsimme kokemaan eri kulttuurin. Majoituimme Donggung 2 -lisärakennuksessa. Makuhuoneen lisäksi meillä oli oma jääkaapilla varustettu oleskelutila, istuskelunurkkaus ja kylppäri. Hotelli ei tarjonnut aamupalaa tai ruokailumahdollisuuksia. Sen sijaan saimme lainata maksutta perinneasuja (hanbokeja), joiden kanssa menimme ottamaan kuvia todella kauniiseen puutarhaan, joka oli kuin keidas. Mahtava kokemus ja ihana henkilökunta.

Like Preserving the traditional hanok style: love the ambiance, Definitely an Experience! . Love that you can wear hanbok & do a pictorial. Great AC. Clean. Quiet and calming. Beautiful gardens! Easy to call for taxis. No restaurant in hotel so if one comes in late, not convenient to go out. But they are building one. Opens at 8am. Earlier than that, the tables/ chairs are not available as there is no lobby. Have to use Google translate as staff does not speak English. Found out that I can’t sleep on futon beds- comfortable but hard to get up! (From a senior!) All in all, highly recommended for the experience.

The pictures dont do this hotel justice . It was a very lovely hotel especially the grounds. The softness of bedding is something that isnt easy to get used to. Would have been nice to have the option of different bedding. But when asked for more. It was given no problem. Freezer/fridge could have been colder but these are minor inconveniences which dont take away from the unique experience. Loved the free hanbok rental too so much fun. It is quite a walk away from the city core so make sure you bring dinner home with you if need a variety of options. Options within 20mins of the hotel walking is limited

We booked this hotel for the hanok experience, and it didn’t disappoint. It was a peaceful and relaxing stay.. We loved the traditional architecture and beautiful interior design.

Very nice hotel. I had a car rental easy access to go sightseeing. Also some nice restaurants walking distance.

Absolutely gorgeous place! One of the very few places left in Korea that gives you an authentic and beautiful experience. It is within walking distance from a beautiful waterfall, one of the main attractions on the island. The rooms are wonderful, the heated floors are so comfortable, the staff is very kind and you can run traditional clothing for free to take beautiful photos. we had a wonderful stay there, I would absolutely recommend.

We loved the experience.

This hanok gave a very traditional vibe into our stay. The service was great especially the manager who accommodated our late check-in and assistance with an important call I had to make. The place was clean. They also recommended restaurants within the area. The 서귀포

They gave us a free room upgrade, the hotel and our room is beautiful, the free hanbok hire was fun. You do need to do a bit of walking to get to most of the nearby food, and one of the faucets wasn't working properly (but still working), but overall, our stay was fantastic.

Loved the Joesan traditional vibes!

It was a fantastic experience, loved the view of the hallabong orchard! We chose the futon rooms because we're used to sleeping on hard surfaces, but if you're not used to it then just pick the one with the bed. Easy access to the city center if you have a car and lots of local dining options, just go out before 7 pm as most restaurants would start closing by 8. You can also borrow a hanbok for free from the reception and take pictures around the property. The staff are nice and friendly but cannot speak English, so they'll try their best to communicate with you as much as possible. A for effort!

The main building doing renovation during our stay, we stay in a Hanok a house by it own, specially well maintained. The mattress a bit thin maybe because Spring season so that we will not feel too hot. Inside the Hanok we don't even need to on Aircon cos the temperature outside is like 20-19c just open the windows cool wind so nice. Best point is free rental of Habok to wear for photo shoot with the beautiful landscape and Hanok.

The elders managing the front desk are so helpful and kind to us. Be respectful to them since they put lots of effort to learn English, ask yourself how much Korean you can speak. Encourage them to speak English, it is good for them to grow their business. Let them finish their sentences with a smile.

What a beautiful place! The room was pristine and lovely in its simplicity. The landscaping was attractive and peaceful. Highly recommend.

The building is very beautiful with Korean style, they even offer free traditional Korean Clothes for rental (pity that it is raining outside so not for rental). The staffs are very supportive and they recommended nearby restaurants for us.

Sehr schöne traditionelle Unterkunft

Unique experience and stay at Hallagung Hotel. Was just in time to see the blooming of the cherry blossoms.

The compound was so beautiful. We are rarely in awe with our hotels, but Hallagung really blew us away. We stayed in a 2nd floor room and wake up to the beautiful view of the coast from far. The traditional architecture really helped enrich our Korean experience. The staff was also so helpful, able to converse in chinese. We needed a cab in very early hours, the owner woke up very early (even when their front desk was closed) to help us call for cab as there was no pre-booking cab service. It is walking distance a few nice cafes and a convenience store. The nearest bus stop does not have many services, but a short walk will bring you to more services.

Was not like the pictures and I was not able to stay there. Immediately left for another places to stay. Was told I was not able to get a refund but still was better than to stay there.

조용해서 너무 좋았구요. 정원도 너무 예쁘고. 우리전통한옥구조다 보니 보는 즐거움도 컸어요

Wery good hotel. Traditional hanok style.

전통적인 한옥호텔을 예상하고 갔으나, 4층 건물을 개조해 만든 한옥호텔로 가서 엘리베이터가 없어서 고생했습니다. 독채를 빼고는 한옥느낌에 실망스럽네요.. 하지만 뜨끈한 온돌 느낌으로 보일러는 빵빵해서 몸을 지지고 왔습니다. 그래도 전망은 좋습니다.

한번쯤은 이용해볼 만한 숙소

여긴 호텔이라고하기도 좀 그러네요.. 모텔같은 느낌. 프론트도 식당옆에 붙어있고 4층인데 엘레베이터도없고 방에들어가는 문도 진짜 특이한 구조.. 신발벗는곳은 옆방이랑 판데기하나 가운데놔서 소리가 다들리고 옆에는 보일러실인지 거기도 판데기 하나로 가려놨고. 방도 뭔가 고즈넉한 그런 느낌 기대했는데 그냥 올드한 모텔느낌.. 뷰는 좋아요.. 단독건물은 잘모르겠네요 4층건물 기준이어서. 솔직히 15만원돈내고 하루묵기는 너무나 아까웠습니다. 리뷰는 남겨본적이 없으나 너무 별로어서 남겨요..

가족여행으로 머물렀는데 넘 좋았어요 다음에도 방문하고 싶어요^^

한라궁호텔 위치도 좋고, 한옥정원도 잘 꾸며져있습니다. 넓은 창으로 보는 제주도 바다뷰도 너무 좋아요. 엘레베이터가 없는건 단점이지만, 다른 장점들이 더 좋아서 재방문 의사 있습니다. 서귀포 관광하실 계획이면 한라궁호텔 추천합니다.

인테리어도 한국식이도 몹시 좋았습니다. 가장 좋았던것은, 1층 라운지에 한복체험을 할수있는 부스가 있어서 여자친구하고 예쁜사진 많이찍을수 있어서 정말 좋았습니다. 다음에도 또 들리고 싶네요 ㅎㅎ

정원이 정말 이쁘고 좋았습니다. 다른 호텔과는 분위기가 틀려요. 꼭 기회되면 방문해보는것도 좋아요 ^^

Situé un peu à l'extérieur de la ville (10 minutes à pied), l'hôtel correspondait à nos attentes. Un petit rafraîchissement du papier peint pourrait être envisagé afin que tout soit parfait. Notre chambre, ou plutôt appartement (50m² et 2 chambres) avec vue sur mer était propre et disposé d'une excellente literie.

Schönes und unkompliziertes Hotel mit mehreren Bungalows. Man kann auch günstige Zimmer im Haupthaus mit normalen Matratzen und wunderbarem Meerblick bekommen. Jeden Tag Zimmerservice. Super angebunden ans Strasennetz, allerdings empfiehlt sich auf jeden Fall ein Mietwagen in Jeju! Zum Flughafen sind es 50 Autominuten. Kleiner Shop mit Snacks und Drogerieartikeln bei der Rezeption. Alles in allem war es ein schöner Aufenthalt. Daumen hoch.

한옥으로 되어 있고 가족이 함께 머물기에 조용하게 너무 좋습니다. 가까운 거리에 칠십리로 음식거리가 있어 싱싱한 횟감을 찾기에도 좋아요 전체적으로 만족합니다
