Best Western Plus Hotel Subic

The room was great, lots of space and the king bed was comfy. The included buffet breakfast was good but was not impressed with the honey glazed ham as it was just lunch meat. Will go back just to try the regular restaurant menu. Not much of a view from our room but we were only there for one night. There was some ongoing maintenance but did not affect our stay. Will definately go back.

The property had just opened which influences all of our experiences. They took a while to find our Expedia reservation, our room had a foul smell, the shower drains were clogged and almost flooded our rooms. The room designs are strange with partial bathroom doors. Staff were very kind, responsive, and accommodating.

The property’s location is excellent! Nice huge rooms, but hotel room marble floors were very dirty, not mopped and toilet bowls were stained. I suggest that housekeeping needs to do a thorough cleaning of the hotel rooms to keep the hotel property in good condition.

Good hotel esp for families. They have a pool and a gym at the rooftop, BBQ night, decent rooms and its location is near restaurants.

Everything was excellent, except there is a bar across the street that plays loud music till 2am. You won't get a good sleep till past 2am.

Lots of construction. Bad setup for inside rooms as the window picks up the music from pool bar. No directory in the rooms to peruse activities in a Subic(only at front desk).

The hotel is fairly new with the bed very comfortable. Overall, the place is clean. Breakfast is included and very good. Maintenance is not very good, because the shower is all hot water. The toilet sounds like is water is gushing (leaking) all the time. During checkout, beware of losing towels or else they will embarrassed you in front of other guests.

Very clean. Modern facility. Great view from the pool deck. Check in was 2pm but we were unable to checkin until almost 330pm.

Stayed here during a Triathlon race and this was about my third stay. It's good value, and clean.

Hotel is walking distance to two nice malls and many restaurants. The exercise room was bad. Both treadmills were safety hazards as I almost fell from the erratic operation. A big turn off is the smell. A seafood restaurant, owned by the hotel, has a garbage issue. The stench from the rotting restaurant garbage is terribly offensive. It is a known problem with the hotel that they haven't addressed in years. I do not plan to stay at this hotel again.

The only problem we had was with the restaurant manager on Christmas Eve dinner. He avoided us completely after I complained about food still on supposedly clean cutlery twice. Otherwise the staff & food were great.

Hotel quality was mixed. Gym equipment very broken or in disrepair. Wifi was spotty by useable. Ants in the room which staff took care of quickly. In house restaurant, Spencers, was very good for the prices charged. Staff was friendly and numerous. Views from rooftop pool excellent.

Nice property and great service; however, before I could complete my checkout, I had to wait for someone to go up to my room and verify it was in satisfactory condition. I’ve never experienced this type of delayed checkout. Also, the towels need to be replaced because white towels should look white not beige. I did enjoy my stay at this location. The room was clean and there were no bugs. The shower had both a regular shower head and a rainfall shower which was awesome. The room was spacious and the air conditioning was nice and cold. The staff here work hard and it’s great to see that. Breakfast...buffet everyday was great! I do wish orange juice was served instead of tang labeled as orange juice. Try the French toast, it is superb.

We booked 2 rooms, the doors would not lock on either of them. Staff were very slow to respond and generally clueless. We were moved to another room, where the door also did not lock oh and the safe didn’t work either. Our room overlooked the staff toilets for the next door supermarket quite noisy - charming. Breakfast was ok. Location was ok. Rooftop pool was nice with a decent little pool for small kids.

There were cockroaches roaming around the food area during breakfast. Room maintenance needs improvement as well such as replacing lights that are out and phone lines that aren’t working properly. The staff professionalism are a hit or miss. Front desk needs to smile more and exhude a welcome demeanor. Howver, all other staff members are polite and courteous.

I liked it very much. Staff were nice and the room was excellent. Pool deck is nicely situated so the mountains and bay are in perfect view even when sitting on the poolside chairs. The beach is a quick 5 minute walk but it's nothing to write home about but you don't get the beach feel. Some of the city's taxi drivers will try to rip you off but we found others that were very reasonable. There are no metered cabs so ask a local how much it'll cost so you'll have an idea about a price before you take a taxi.

Stayed here over our Spartan race weekend. The hotel staff were very accommodating and prepared takeaway breakfast for all of us to collect at 430am before our race.

Staff from front door to food and room service - they all give their guests a happy answer to all their needs. A big plus to the management who grants unexpected kindness to the guests while attending to the daily upkeep to the whole place. An asset to the SBMA community!

It was a very good hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. For some reason my hot water was turned off. They promptly fixed it. The breakfast bar was average. I'll stay here again.

Beside the first night the bath tub water won't drain, and house keep take longtime to wait my turn, everything is nice, the location is good for visit some of the best restaurant in Subic and also just beside the duty free mall. Overall is a good place to stay.

Best hotel in Olongapo.

Each time I stay here it seems the hotel facilities deteriorates incrementally. Towels are no longer white but a dingy yellow-ish tinge. Showerheads are encrusted with lime deposits due to hardness of the water and water comes out in a dribble! The hotel should at least perform periodic de-scaling. The sink and shower stall drain holes are almost always clogged without any periodic maintenance. The air conditioning units in the rooms never seem to be serviced and clean so when the AC is turned on, the air that comes out smells very stale

At first, it looked to be a high end hotel with room rates that can already be cathegorized as pricey, so we expected first class service specially on cleanliness. We booked two rooms, both with king beds.. We arrived early, so we were requesting for an early check in, of which it was not accommodated. but according to the reception, we can get a room early but they have to charge our extra hours of stay, so we opted not to avail of it. We came back in the afternoon, maybe at around 5pm, and our rooms were available already, so I and my sister proceeded to each of our rooms. Upon reaching my room, my keycard was not working and I had to call the service staff, to help me out. He was gracious enough to have the keycard fixed and returned to me. Upon entering the room, everything was actually in order and everything was ready for use, so I proceeded to take a rest and open the TV, upon approaching the TV set, I noticed that there were some powdery residue just below the hanging TV set, which seems to come from repairs or some renovations made, which made me a bit sick, I think, since my allergies started acting up, giving me sinusitis and coughs everytime I stay for long periods of time specially at night when Im sleeeping.. We also made some complaints regarding the water (for me, it's the water in the shower which can be both hot and cold, but only cold water comes out), and for my sister's room, water in the lavatory is hot and can't be use. complaints not addressed.

Nice new hotel. Lovely pool ( but no umbrellas so no shade in the sometimes oppressive noon heat. ) Not a huge amount to do in the immediate area , which is being developed.

We were right spending our family year-end rest and relaxation getaway at the Best Western Plus Hotel. We had a great stay; the staff were friendly and accommodating, the room is clean and cozy, the location is also a plus! We even extended our stay for another night!

The Best Western in Subic is a nice modern hotel. Breakfast buffet was good in comparison to some other hotel breakfasts in the Philippines. Only issue was that I had to pull forward the 2 nights by a night but had to cancel and rebook and could not get the same discount deal but not really hotels fault. Good location, close to plenty restaurants and mini stores. Wi-fi OK but not great.

Looked good online but the room was super small and the breakfast sucked.

I enjoyed my stay. The pool was nice and had a spectacular view on the rooftop. Wish it was heated since I swam at night and when it opened in the AM, but coming from NYC I’m use to the cool temperature. It’s very relaxing and the staff at the front desk were polite. Across the street is Pier 1, which I decided to go to upon hearing the live music while swimming so if you’re looking to go out at night for fun, everything is nearby. The breakfast was also great, I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Subic area.

I Booked online a family room, but we got a regular room instead. The staff felt sorry and wanted to compensate us with a free breakfast, only after we told them we would report them to Expedia. There was no lock on the bathroom door, and you have to squeeze yourself between the door and the bed to get into the bathroom. Wifi not working. The free breakfast given to us was not worth the downgrade. We will never go back. there are far better hotels in the area and for less.

best western standards and you get what you expect....nice, clean and spacious room, confortable bed, nice bathroom....good buffet breakfast....only drawbacks, the wifi is a little bit slow and erratic and the area is not too good....but still very good value for money!

My son and I checked into Best Western in Subic as we needed to be at the house for the first move. Being burnt out, I decided to order room service. Well,, my dinner came and I sent it back saying that it was not what I ordered. I ordered a Tenderloin Steak, Medium Rare. Well the thing was the size of a Hocky Puck and black as night looking like shoe leather. After I sent it back and canceled the order, the restaurant got mad at me. They had the audacity to call me and try to get me to accept the order. These people have no understanding of the service business Rule #1. They in fact called three time which was annoying to no end. This forced me to use foul language. Unreal. I will never ever come here again and I can not ever recommend this place. Except to someone I do not like?!?!!!!!

I checked the net for hotels & in prder.to see the hotels 1st hand, I walked around a few of the hotels in the area looking for a good place for my family to stay overnight and after 5 hotels, I saw that Best Western had the best design & atmosphere. You could really tell they had high standards. my kids loved the pool &outdoor jacuzzi & the overall service was great as well. had their complimentary breakfast, it was buffet style & not too great, but better than other bfasts i had in other hotels in subic. Id recommend anyone coming to subic with their families to try out best western.

The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs but the room seriously needs ro be aired out as it reeked of a certain bad smell. We did not have a choice but to just withstand the smell.

Overall it was a good stay, I would not suggest the bay side rooms if you are not a night Owl as the sounds of the bars and clubs kept us awake until about 3 am every single night. We never changed rooms as we kept thinking "surely they will be quieter tonight" but they never were.

Hotel is in a great area. Walking distance to the mall and the beach. Duty free shop right around the corner. I feel comfortable booking my wife here when she comes to the Philippines alone.

The rooms were big and cozy. They left the bathrooms in the pool dirty. Very good location, access to Resto and groceries​.

The over-all stay was pretty good. I just don't like that they are very strict with their check-in time. We arrived at the hotel around 1.30pm, and they won't give the keycard umtil it is exactly 2pm, eventhough the lobby was already cramped with guests. But aside from that, the room in service was fast. The rooms are clean, and the beds are big and comfortable.

We stayed in BWP hotel for 2 nights. Upon arrival at 2pm, they asked us to wait for 15minutes but ended up waiting for 30minutes cause our room wasn't ready at that time. Receptionist though were kind enough to offer us late check out. They have roof top pool which is packed cause of the pool party at that time. Rooms are spacious and clean. Food is average, nothing special.

Booked 2 regular rooms and 1 Executive room (Ocean view). 2 Regular rooms : the cleaning maids informed us that the hotel gave us 2 of the smallest rooms. There was little room to move around. 1 Executive Room (Ocean view) : there is NO Ocean view! There are building in between the hotel and the ocean. You can barely see the ocean from the room. When this was addressed with the hotel staff - they were dismissive and did not make an attempt to make it right. Customer Service needs improvement.

Great hotel facilities. Not much water activities on the beach though but the whole area is very calm. Great place to chill.

Hotel looks new so the facilities and the room we have stay(group of 4 - 2 kids + 2 adults)are nice and clean. Buffet breakfast experience when it comes to food they offer is on the average.its good for those who like pancakes or a slice of bread and omelette for breakfast.but for filipino type of breakfast,choices are not so many.the beef tapa they offer is good. I will recommend this hotel for those who are looking for comfort and conveniences.

Overall stay was good - cleanliness, comfort, condition except for the service. They forced the guests to wait for 2:00pm before they allowed anyone to check-in and went to the assigned rooms. We asked if they could reconsider because the hotel lobby was already full of guests waiting but to no avail. (note: we checked-in last Apr. 29 to May 1 and it was a long weekend). On the 30th, the hotel's housekeeping staff made-up our room while we were out and took out all the in-room towels but didn't replace it. We have to call the front desk twice and waited for 30mins before we got the replacement.

This isnt a four star standard hotel. It is more like 3 star. For the price that i paid, it isnt worth it.

Very small room. Band played until midnight. Free breakfast was poor--no coffee at first, fruit was old, no juice, fish dry, and these were the good things. Staff was not helpful checking in or out. Pool was nice.

Service was poor. Breakfast was not worth it. Constant construction outside was noisy and they were also doing renovation next to our room. Aircon was unreliable. Not a good location, we will not return.

I spent three nights here from the 16th - 19th of April, the hotel is new and I scored a great deal booking through Expedia. There was an issue with the safe deposit box in the room which the hotel manager personally attended to and he personally got on the tools to fix it. 10/10 and can't wait to return later in the year.

I always enjoy staying at this hotel whenever I am in Subic due to their proximity to just about everything in the Freeport zone. I often walked to wherever I wanted to go .

We stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days last april 2017 the hotel facilities were nice especially around the pool area. It has an over looking view of the beaches along Subic bay. We choose an ocean view room but sad to say we could't see the view beacause it was covered by the establishments near the bay. You can hear the bar's singers from the establishments across the street from our room at night. The food during the breakfast buffet were ok but nothing special. The hotel was a bit far from the beaches it will take you 10-15 minutes drive to find the beach. But all in all we had a great time here.

I had a very good stay as well as my family. Staff are very polite and helpful starting from the time you enter the hotel.

It's our 2nd time in this hotel. We like it because its fresh, very new, modern and easily accessible from the main road. Hotel staff are very warm, friendly and very attentive. We love their swimming pool too, overlooking the sea, the boardwalk restaurants and bars. I just have to comment about a few things pertaining the hotel. The placement of the shower door handle; it slams on the wall, and it might break if accidentally and carelessly slammed harder when opened. We were in room 454. Hope its not the same in all rooms. Wifi signal is also very poor. We were not able to enjoy any modest signal at all throughout our 2night stay. Swimming pool attendants must be a little considerate and conscious of the types of music they play. They were playing very loud, hard metal rock music with foul lyrics. And i wish the whirlpool also have warm water so guests can enjoy a good and relaxed dip. One of our beds was quite squeaky. Since its our second visit, I was a little apprehensive about the breakfast offering, coz last year, i was turned off by the sausage they serve, which was obviously GMO. And sad to say, they're still serving the same sausage....twas tasty yes, but imagine the kind of meat and msg used....Just saying.... Hope it gets better next time coz we really like the hotel and staff...

everything was good apart from the quality of the food and always running out of supplies for orders so why have it on the menu if ya never got it for example mango shakes one of my favourite drinks

The hotel was very nice, and the staff was very helpful. It was my first trip to Subic Bay, and it's different than any of the other places I visit in the Philippines. No Jeepneys, no tricycles, only taxis, or the hotel shuttle. All of the taxis are flat rate, but reasonable

A nice and comfortable stay with warm staff and easy to approach. We will return back and stay again at best western plus subic.
