Well the hotel was being renovated. New owners. Very nice people very friendly and they did everything so that my stay would be super. Unfortunatly the air conditionning was not working so well. And on saturday night there is a casino bar that goes on until ,around six o clock in the morning.
i went to check in they told me no rooms available and hung up the phone so there was no stay at this hotel
Bathroom fan pretty noisy and mattress to be changed were in 205 the rest was perfect
Overall good quality price didn’t had time to try the pool but was pretty clean and inviting
The hotel is in a bad shape. It’s not a 100 dollar a night hotel it sucks
Room was dirty bathtop broken
The hotel was run down. The room wasn’t clean & there wasn’t a lock on the patio door of my room. The receptionist didn’t not speak English which it was difficult to communicate with her.
There was no conveniences on site. No coffee makers in the rooms. The staff spoke no English. The room itself was large clean and beautiful.
Este hotel va en decadencia, todo roto o dañado, y no limpian nada bien y las hb siempre huelen mal
Room is really good, staff is great
Everything
The hotel look poor and dirty i do not recommend thid facilities
Staff are awesome.
4 stars
The tv was not working, we advised the front desk and they never came to fix it. Secondly, there was cockroaches in the room/bathroom. My husband went downstairs to get a product to kill them, and they didn’t have any. The concierge is as left alone and obviously he wasn’t able to change rooms. We almost didn’t sleep all night and couldn’t wait to leave the next morning, we had to leave the lights on “just in case”.
I will definitely come back to this hotel in my next trip to Las Terrenas. My only suggestion is to upgrade the main entrance's door, as it can be an inconvenient to keep calling with our cellphones every single time we need to enter or exit the facility. Just like the elevator, we should be able to use our room's key to come in.or step out.
Very convenient for a short stay, big rooms, located on 10-15min from Bonita Beach, Portillo, Central Town. The rooms are very confortable but the hole property have things to improve.
Everything was great!!
Very unsafe, the glass doors in the rooms that have access to the pool doesn't lock. There is a casino and a bar at the hotel but is not only for peolpe that are staying in the hotel, everyone from the neighborhood have access to be there too. Its very unsafe. People were so drunk and very rude, I had to get out of there the same day I checked in, I was afraid for my own safety. I do not recommend this place at all.
Noisy and parking space not good. The room too dark
Egress with ease, returns had dial a call to get in, iron gates are very slow.
Clean. Big room. Easy acces. Safety.
Amazing place to stay the staff very professional and helpful all the way. We will definitely come back to this place.
Awesome place!
Easy, practical, super convenient and close to everything in las Terrenas.
Great hotel staff. 30-minute walk from city center and boardwalk/Malecon area.
Very well located and lovely property
Good
Hood
Well maintained great staff clean impressive
Everythig was nice
😡
Excellent location, very safe and comes in highly recommended.
There was no daily room cleaning
A hidden gem of a hotel. Good experience overall. Will definitely be going back!
Everything.
Everything is ok
Excellent location
The staff was very accommodating. And polite. And the casino, of course.
Not bad for the price!
Room not ready at check in.
Overall the hotel is nice , but beware of the price fix on exchange rates when paying in pesos. They tried to manipulate the rate to thier favor to make more money off the room rate.
Staff very courteous and diligent
This was the worst experience that I have ever had with a "hotel." - Customer service is rough at best. The room smells like a rat infested place. No shower curtain in the "shower" - Water has a strong smell. I booked for 2 nights, I had to check out after the first night, of course losing my money for 1 night. The place is away from the beach. They charged me for 2 small battles of water that was in the room. Save yourself some trouble, don't go this place.
I really like this cozy hotel, i feel comfortable staying here!! Really like it! Has all I need. A good room and a great service
The city is very very delightful and the hotel was beautiful the staff was great!
What I didnt like was that I had an allergy at night, I dont know if it was really clean. But, actually the room was good. The pool was very clean.
I never got to stay there because Expedia never sent them my itenery and they didn’t let me check-in. I started an inquiry and you were supposed to respond in 36 hours and I am still waiting. Please make this right. I have been a customer of yours for a long time and I don’t want this to be my memory of Expedia which could effect my choice of using Expedia in the future. Ty tommy
Good for value.
What I like the most of this property was how nice the staff was What I dislike the most was that it was not close to the beach
The property is beautiful. Great pool and very nice rooms. The staff is great, the owner , not so much. My room smelled very bad. The reception said the smell would leave, when we ran the ac, but it didnt. The rude owner said it always smells like that when I addressed him. BEWARE.. Do not stay in rooms 101, 102, 103, 201, 202, 203, 301, 302, 303. They have a 24/7 casino bar. You will feel like you are in the disco. After a certain time there is no reception to complain too. Just security guards who will tell you wait for reception at 7am. When I addressed this with the owner, he said I should have called reception to lower it and walked away. Its a shame such a nice property has these problems. I travel alot. I believe this is the first bad review I have ever left!
The recepciónist was excellent. But the music from the casino/ disco do not let please sleep. The breakfast service was not good, the kitchen was not clean, we have to go to the kitchen to order our food. The cook should not be in the service business. The waiter was nice.
Savoy is a very nice place to stay in Las Terrenas. But it is not a sea resort, or a resort as such. It is located in a very quiet place and even a casino/night club that is their sister business doesn’t produce any noise whatsoever. So if you are visiting Las Terrenas for business or excursions in the area this should be your choice. The price/quality is optimal. The hotel itself is not bad at all but the clients are few and the restaurant is open for breakfast only. During our stay we had a few problems but the service is good and all was solved in a very short time, sometimes quite uncommon in The Dominican Republic. Overall I can recommend this hotel for staying in Las Terrenas.
The parking was made in a crazy way. I was asked to park amidst cements and used parts. One should always ask an arquitect and engineer. Now if you have a motorcycle it’s ok, or a small car. If you have SUV you have to maneuver like hell. Floor was stained really bad and room was very obscure, that is half from the style and half for the lack of working lights. Pool was dirty and jacuzzi non functioning. Now the food part ia that the room looked nice and if it was clean and with
Love it!
We were pleased to find a safe and nice alternative. Priced fairly good. GPS takes you to the back door. Looking forward to return with a larger group. Thank you to Aridia for her warm greeting.
It was very difficult to find the place. Was led to believe it was on beachfront and it was nowhere near. The phone number listed was wrong. When we asked people how to get there, no one had heard of it. We eventually found it after having gone around for over 30 minutes. The hotel and staff were pleasant.
Not so good, the hotel is ok but I hoped more. Some problems in the bathroom, the room is very dark, but the biggest problema is that the hotel does not offer meals or breakfast because it doesn't have restaurant nether close to its. In fact the hotel has a bar of casino that you can order something, but I did once to breakfast and was not good, the place is dirty and the food is not good. To breakfast I suggest to bay something and put in minibar and having lunch on the beach in the restaurant of the hotels, but are expensives
Good hotel, clean rooms and very quiet. Good price also.
Savoy is centrally located in las terrenas. Close to every beautiful beach. Very up todate. Super clean. The beds were super comfortable and the toom was big enough for my husband and three kids. We had a great pool view. The only thing i didn't like was that there was no restaurant. Sonwe had to go out to the town to hunt for a decent place to eat.
The service and staff was excellent. They were helpful and friendly. I do wish their restaurant would have been functioning since they advertise one. Also a microwave on the premise that visitors could use would have been nice.
New employees and they could do much better with the service. No restaurant at the hotel so we had to walk around to find something for lunch the day we arrive. At the time of check out (12.00M), surprise, no body at the front desk..we had to wait until a maid woman had to help us by calling the person in charge. New method: check out by phone. One more thing, if you pay with credit card, the hotel surcharges US10 additional.
Hotel was superb, but location was not so great. Need car or else a person would be walking four to five miles.
Big room and bathroom and in clean and in good condition.
The hotel and room were nice and clean. Unfortunately we got a room right next to the lounge. The lounge is supposed to open from 6pm until 2am but they leave it open until 8am with loud music and people talking really loud so it was hard to sleep and rest. The hotel staff didn't had an answer to my concern, the only thing they said was that they were going to call and tell them to turn down the volume and I told them that the lounge is supposed to be closed at 4am, 6am and 8am that were the moments that I call to complain about the loud people and music. Overall really clean, nice room, good AC, nice and clean bathroom. Don’t stay next to the lounge!!!
Excellent. We were very glad we picked this hotel. Staff were very helpful, the stay was very comfortable.
Large rooms, balcony with a hammock. Would definitely stay again
Excellent, superb, enchanted. I want to go back, great piña coladas. Service and location. The rooms were better than most 5 star hotels or even all inclusive resorts. I don't like to compare but I will definitely go back in a heartbeat. Casino, bar, room service, pool and overall magnificent staff.
It is excellent in all aspects, except for location. Even that is not bad if one is a good walker. Very pleased. Jim
Very new and nicely appointed hotel. Part of a residential complex. No on-site restaurant therefore you need a car to access restaurants and beach.
So disappointed, particularly in the location. When we asked about a taxi to alleviate the fact that there was no restaurant and we were in a dangerous area, the staff were baffled. If you are in LT to enjoy the beach the vibrant downtown scene, stay between downtown and Punta Popy, where there are so many cool, locally owned hotels. Avoid this place unless you don't plan to leave the room.
We had an amazing time, the staff is very polite and friendly, the hotel is very modern and super clean. The pool and the jacuzzi were amazing.... we will definitely return for sure!!!
I have stayed twice at this property, and both times i had a very good experience. Very affordable and clean. I would recommend to anyone staying in las terrenas. The only criticims i would have, is the options given for breakfast over at the restaurant/bar on the second level.
Excellent choice. Very clean, nice pool, very good service, confortable room. They just don't have a place where to have breakfast, so you have to eat in your room.
This hotel is very nice. We enjoyed being here, with several rooms booked for our party. Each room had a balcony that opened up to the pool area. AC in the rooms worked great. The only issue we found, was...the casino. Our room was right at the door that went into the casino. All night long there was music! Our family, on the opposite side of the hotel, heard nothing. So I think it was just in our area. Also, the morning "coffee" was not a good experience. The woman behind the check in desk, pointed to the coffee area, but it was cold, and old! When asked if there was more coffee coming, she shrugged her shoulders and said "sometime soon". We were not impressed with this...and went elsewhere for our morning coffee.
This was a nice stay! Loved the patio and hammock
lovely and quiet with a great pool surrounded by beautiful garden. The balcony overlooked the pool and garden. The shower was the best I've experienced in a hotel. The whole experience was better than we had expected. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but the smell of bread baking in the morning was enticing, but we had to leave early. I would definitely recommend it.
extremely clean and very comfortable with a great and knowledgeable staff ..connected to a fun casino with every amenity you would expect in the United States. .would definitely stay here again
