Hotel Boutique Casa Heredia

Great location. It was quiet but within walking distance to the beaches and in the walled city. It was charming and only had 3 guest rooms so it felt very private. It doesn't have the bells and whistles chain hotels have but we loved it. It was our favorite place that we stayed in Colombia.

The staff was very kind and accommodating. The breakfast they made was delicious and filling! The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, and we enjoyed the pool as well. We were also able to leave our valuables in the safe in the room, which made us feel assured while spending the day at the beach. We would definitely stay here again!

The property itself was nice and the staff were friendly. Staying within the walled city itself is cool because there are loads of dining and nightlife options within a short stroll. A nice place to stay while visiting Cartagena.

Excellent location within the walled city. We were within walking distance of pretty much everything. The best part is that the hotel is located in quiet area so you don’t have to worry about losing any sleep. The staff were incredible, hotel was always clean and the breakfast was delicious!!

We stayed for 4 nights. Such a cute spot the ac was fantastic in the hot weather. Cute pool, clean, yummy breakfast. Only complaint would be the hostel next door plays loud music till midnight which seemed to be an everynight thing which is unfortunate. Nothing to do with them just made nights less peaceful. Other than that loved it

The room is a closet. No real door. Spiral staircase with h luggage was dangerous. Nice breakfast, friendly staff

It was the perfect stay!!! The staff was EXTREMELY nice and welcoming. The location is excellent as it is very close to all the touristy locations. The rooms were not that luxurious, but it had everything we needed. I really enjoyed my stay and would definately book again there if I ever go back to Cartagena.

Charming antique property right in the heart of the old city! The rooms are simple and tastefully decorated. The pool is small but a welcome treat in the Cartagena heat. There was a brownout during our stay that lasted about an hour, not the hotel's fault but something to be considered staying in this area. Also, prepare to hear music from the nearby bars and restaurants until at least 11 P.M. or so. For a reasonable fee, breakfast was home-cooked, fresh, and delicious.

The hotel is great but right next to it there is a hostel that blasts music from 8PM to midnight. One would normally be put, but if it is that one night that you are tired and want to rest, it becomes a nightmare. The personnel could not be more friendly though! Very nice people

Staff was friendly, but the air conditioning didn't work well. Good luck staying in tropical heat with no A/C.

When we arrived to the hotel we waited about three minutes for the staff to open the door to the hotel (it was locked). The hotel room was very hot so my friend and I left to get something to eat while the AC ran a bit. When we came back to the hotel the room was very hot (after being gone two hours). I was very sick and the staff had called a man to come fix the ac but he had no luck. I was sick with a fever and had to be in a place with ac so unfortunately, we had to book a room at another hotel. Furthermore, while waiting for the man to fix the ac, I was bitten four times while laying on the bed. When looking to see what it was, a mosquito flew out from under the pillow.

The location, service and the staff were absolutely excellent! Will definitely be staying here again, when I return to Cartagena.

The staff was ok but the price I did pay for one hundred dollars for a suite witch was just a big room was no good at all for value and the bathroom was over use with an electric shower

We stayed Friday through Sunday. Friday and Sunday we had no electricity. It was a problem with the hotels electricity, not the city's electricity. No lights or air conditioning makes for a very uncomfortable stay 2 out of 3 days. No discount was offered.

The hotel is probably in the best location within the walled city so it's easy to just go round the corner and find any restraunts or activities. The staff were outstanding. So friendly and a great team of problem solvers!

A true gem. Nothing too fancy but full of charm. The staff was tops. Very accomodating and helpful. The cook arrived early on the day i was leaving to make me breakfast. I cant wait to go back. Truly low key and relaxing.

It could have been great if they leave the AC on. The minute that you leave they turn it off. Even when we ask them to keep it cold they didn't. They should not call it a boutique, The room was upstairs and it was a circular staircase, impossible to go up or down with luggage. On the plus side the room was clean, the key did not work, we had to call the person in charge to get the room open, he sort of fix it but still did not work. And when the AC worked for a while it cooled down the room eventually. We expected a boutique hotel not just a hotel called boutique. The location was great

Amazingly, this place actually looked like it did on the internet. We were lucky enough to get one of the 2 larger rooms. I understand that the other 2 were very small with low ceilings. We enjoyed our two weeks and felt like it was home. The staff was friendly and attentive. We had a nice breakfast every day in the lovely courtyard which was open to the air.

The hotel, whilst very nice, is very overpriced and only 2 doors from the largest backpackers hostel in the Old City and another one across the road. No sleep the first night due to very loud noise. Hotels.com quoted the total price we were required to pay at the hotel, but on check out they insisted we pay an additional hotel fee or tax of some kind. Young staff very nice and helpful but we had to keep asking for a plunger to unblock the toilet. There were 2 bicycles for our use which was great.

Small little hostal in the middle of the old walled town, walking distance from all the best areas in the old Cartagena. Very nice breakfast, comfortable bed, clean and the service was excellent. Keyla was fenomenal always with a huge smile in her face and very atentive. I would recomend again.

First, the hotel staff members were incredibly kind, respectful, helpful, and overall top-notch customer service. The hotel is really more of a 'bed and breakfast.' like many of the 'boutique' hotels in Cartagena, Hotel Boutique Casa Heredia is small, consisting of four rooms around a private courtyard. It's in a great location in the old city and is within a 10 minute walk of everything in the old city, including several fantastic restaurants within 2 blocks, plaza san Diego in 3 blocks, and two Exito supermarket 2 blocks away. The room I was assigned was rather spartan. No decorations on walls, just a small stone room with a very hard uncomfortable bed, one big wardrobe, and a dismal bathroom. The rooms are equipped with AC/heat pumps units, which are essential in Cartagena due to the heat and humidity. The ceiling fan spun insanely fast, with no option to slow it down. I was worried it would fly off the ceiling. The rooms are also equiped with tiny safes, which hold maybe a cell phone and a passport. The safe however constantly glitched out, the set codes did not work the next morning. I had to ask the hotel staff on a daily basis for the safe key. The bathrooms were in bad shape. Horrible CFL lighting, dingy tile, toilets missing seats, junky showerheads with exposed live wires connected to the showerhead (which evidently heats the water).

It was a last minute booking as the other hotel i had booked was a complete mess. They were polite and responsive within minutes and have hot water showers which seems to be a luxury in Cartagena

After making a last-minute decision to stay in Santa Marta, we booked this hotel because it was close to some recommended restaurants. It was a surprise hit! Comfortable, friendly staff, very walkable and safe location, air conditioning, full breakfast, wifi.... All of the luxuries of a high end hotel without the major price tag. We would definitely stay here again.

It was a great stay. Very few rooms and the place is tidy. The people who work there are very polite and they taylor you breakfast to your wishes.

Nice centric hotel. Nice rooms and excelent young staff. Only complain my room has problem with the sewage gas elimination but was a minor issue. It was raining a lot and since the city is at see level it happens on and off. The place is a residential area so is apart from plazas and heavy traffic bars.

The hotel is located on a quiet street in the heart of the Old City. We spent three nights here and felt very happy with our choice

Its a quiet, nice and clean little hotel. Its inside of the wall city which make it super easy to walk around and explore cartagena. Love the staff they were really helpful and attentive.
