Hotel Boutique Casona del Porvenir

We booked a Deluxe Room, room number 5, and it was a really large and beautiful room. Very modern and very comfortable. It even has a small inner terrace. Highly recommended!

Great location in Old City Cartagena walkable to everything breakfast included great option

Great staff and comfortable rooms

Casona del Porvenir was perfect for our weekend in Cartagena. The room was a little small but since we were not spending all of our time in the rooms it didn’t really matter. The bed were comfortable and the space was always clean. There were some inconsistencies with the housekeeping, we seemed to have to call the front desk everyday for something, the last night they only left one towel, we called but no one ever came so my husband had to go to the pool to get a towel. The breakfast was ok and the pool is tiny. Again we didn’t spend so much time at the hotel so it didn’t really matter. I would recommend it.

Beautiful hotel boutique, rooms are absolutely gorgeous. Stunning property. I highly recommend it.

We stayed at Casona del Porvenir for 10 days and absolutely loved every moment. The staff—from housekeeping to reception, bartenders, and more—offered genuine, top-tier hospitality. We felt like family by the end of our stay. Gabriel at the front desk was especially helpful and kind. He made us feel right at home and was always available for questions and great local recommendations. We also connected with Alex and Vicki at the bar—they created such a welcoming vibe that even our family from another hotel came over just to grab drinks and enjoy their company! Our room was spotless, and housekeeping worked around our schedule. The hotel is peaceful, though balcony rooms near the street may get some nightlife noise. The included breakfast was delicious, especially the fresh juices—coco-maracuyá at their sister hotel (Casona del Colegio) was our favorite! Though the pool is small, it was still relaxing, and the nightly sweet treats left in the room were a lovely surprise. We felt very safe, even returning late at night thanks to attentive security. If you’re visiting Cartagena, we highly recommend Casona del Porvenir. Thank you for making our stay unforgettable!

Excellent service and location

Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. They catered to our needs. The breakfast was delicious

Absolutely loved our stay at Casona del Porvenir! The Premium Room was spacious, beautifully designed with loft-style architecture, automatic blinds, and elegant artwork. The balcony and peaceful courtyard made it feel like a hidden oasis. Staff were incredibly warm and accommodating. A perfect blend of comfort, style, and top-notch service in the heart of Cartagena. Highly recommended!

Great hotel in a great location. The hotel was beautiful and really clean. Room was an effective use of space and the shower in the bathroom was amazing. Staff was super friendly, cocktails and breakfast was great. The whole lobby area is beautiful and great place to sit and unwind. Location is great and close to a lot of restaurants.

Amazing staff, specially the guy that works in the mornings he was amazing he assisted to extend and made sure we were taken care off all our needs. Will be back.

Beautiful quiet hotel. Excellent location with outstanding service. Rooms are modern and fully equipped. Breakfast is delicious with local and more standard options. Designer cocktails are great. 100% would come back

Hotel was great! Our 7th trip to Cartagena staying in the walled city and this place was one of our favorites. Staff was friendly, helpful and rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. Will definitely stay again on our next visit!

our stay was absolutely wonderful. The service, the food, the decor and ambiance all deserve 5 stars. The location was also perfect. Right in the heart of the Walled City, we felt safe and were able to walk to restaurants, shops and important historic sites.

Hotel was amazing from the moment we walked in. The staff were very helpful. The room was clean. The pool had a wonderful view. The greenery everywhere and the decor was perfect. Great location close to all the nice restaurants and main strip. Looking forward to my next stay here

Wunderbar im Zentrum gelegenes, im Kolonialstil gebautes Hoteljuwel. Preis Leistung absolut top! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

It's a cozy hotel at the heart of the historic center, making it convenient and walkable for us, and it's absolutely gorgeous. The interior is a combination of both traditional and new, and the staff members are great! Kathleen was kind, informative and very helpful with everything. Breakfast is also good! Very satisfied with this booking.

One of the most wonderful hotels we have ever stayed out with a beautiful spacious room, delicious breakfasts and convenience to the center of the old city for fine dining and shopping. We will be back often!!

Beautiful boutique hotel in the centre but surprisingly quiet. You can use the pool if the sister hotel casona del colegio which is bigger and have breakfast there if you like.

We had a wonderful stay. The location is perfect—close to the beach and the historic Old Town. The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable, had everything we need! The staff was very friendly and always ready to help. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh tropical fruits and Colombian coffee. The pool was a great place to refresh after exploring the city. (Even it’s a bit small) Overall, a fantastic experience—I highly recommend this hotel!

Hotel fantástico. Ótimo café da manhã, melhor localização da cidade.

Maravilhosa!

This was our first time in Cartagena and this hotel hit it out of the park. Everything was perfect and convenient. Facilities were clean and well kept. The staff was terrific and very accommodating. Will be returning here on our next trip back

Great service

Had the most amazing time. Very close to everything!

We'll be back! Great Service and Super Tranquil in an amazing centric area.

The staff was so welcoming and good to us , clean rooms and smelled so nice as well , very warming sent , easy walking to everything , I’m so happy I stayed here the Servis was great and super clean . I will stay here again and they have another hotel right down the road 2 min walk , also another great place you can use their amenities , I would also stay there .

Loved this hotel. Well worth the money. Its so beautiful and clean. Shower was amazing, toilet has a boudoir, room was spacious, property is gorgeous. Staff was so friendly! Greeted us with free alcoholic beverage. Fruit and welcome note when we walked in. Flavored water in common area. Security at the door and feels super safe. The only negative was smokers in the common area on the 1st floor. Smokers should only be rooftop.

The staff at this boutique hotel were PHENOMENAL. Very kind, attentive, literally the best. The hotel in itself is so so beautiful! If I was to come back to Cartagena, I’d stay here again. Very close to everything! It’s also quiet when you’re in the hotel so if you don’t want to go out, you will be alright!

Amazing hotel and amazing staffs, I got the premium room and it worth every penny

The service was excellent!

Very clean and friendly staff!!! Our room was amazing. Delicious breakfast included

Beautiful hotel. Rooms are spacious and the decor is beautiful. You can also share resources with their sister hotel, 2 mins down the road. Breakfast is delicious and there is a wide range to choose from. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Also, recommend getting a massage, they are so good here!!

Beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable. No AC, so the room got stuffy. Bathroom flushed poorly. The only plus was the location was good.

todo es perfecto

Great location and friendly staff.

This hotel was impeccable! The interior, decor, service, everything! I would highly recommend

The Casona is esthetically very pleasing, and its inner courtyard is lovely. But we were led into a small but “superior” room with no natural light (perhaps other rooms do have windows), well-appointed very tiny bathroom, albeit with Japanese toilet. On that first floor, the corner turns into a flight of metal stairs that, from below, can easily be missed by an inattentive person, leading to a cracked head. Finally, electronic room keys do not work efficiently. Staff is very nice, location is wonderful.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It’s like a hidden oasis in the middle of a chaotic city. Complimentary welcome cocktail was a hit!

One of the most amazing hotels i ever been, amazing design, spectacular service, very private and cozy, full attention to details. Amazing food. Definitely a great choice

Very beautiful hotel, convinient location

In our three weeks of traveling in Colombia, this hotel was the best we stayed in (and we stayed in some nice hotels). Great vibe, amazing staff and well-equiped rooms. 100% recommended. You are staying in the middle of the historic town, but it is nice and quiet.

Great experience. Staff and food was amazing

It is a beautiful hotel but upon arrival the room we reserved was not available so we were given an upgraded room. The next day at breakfast we were told we need to pack up and prepare to move rooms because they needed the upgrade room. It was not a pleasant experience as at check in I made it clear I did not want to move due to them not having our room available. They made us move and provided a 30 minute massage for each of us in compensation. The hotel is nice, breakfast is minimal though.

This hotel is very up to date with washroom facilities, architecture and amenities. The staff was absolutley fantastic. The best small hotel we have ever stayed at. The area is in the middle of shopping and entertainment with the atmosphere of old Cartagena and street entertainers. I highly recomend this Hotel and area.
